How do I sign wrestlers?

Recommended Posts

I'm currently playing with the demo to see if I want to buy the game. I've started unemployed and created my own show from scratch. I'm trying to sign wrestlers. But I sent the contract offer to them, but they don't respond! They don't turn the offer down (to be fair, they tend to make their counter-offers immediately).

I've created a show and I have no wrestlers to work the show for me!

How do I add them onto my roster?

It takes a few days for the contracts to be finalized, assuming you did a proposal that they accepted. Make sure you reach an agreement with them, propose it and then wait a few days for the confirmation.

Yes, unless they're considering another offer from a different company.

Yes.

On the top taskbar, it's the button immediately to the left of the date (I say, hoping it's in the same place on the default skin as on the one I'm using...)

Ok, first of all, I can't use the quick reply feature in this thread because it's greyed out. How come? Do I need a certain post count before I'm allowed to do that?

Second, now that I've got my roster, how do I assign gimmicks to them? I'm running a mainstream/fun-for-the-whole family show (I can't remember exactly which preset I used). So everyone needs a gimmick.

And how do I assign storylines to the matches?

And how do I assign matches (e.g. the main event) to be for vacant championships?

Also, where are the play-by-play commentators? I've figured out how to hire color commentators, but not play-by-play commentators. Are they just the announcers? Or are the announcers the guys who say "The following contest is scheduled for one fall?" Do I just assign TWO color commentators and act like one of them is play-by-play? For a guy who uses a buttload of backstage terminology in this game, I'd like to think Adam Ryland would know the difference between play-by-play commentary and color commentary (here's a hint: Jim Ross is NOT a color commentator).

The game wasn't designed to use them. Some people, myself sometimes, use personalities as ring announcers and just use an angle with them rated on Mic skills and then the workers they're announcing rated on overness.

Easiest thing? Just hit autopush, and everyone will be assigned a push based on their relative popularity.

"No Set Push" is just to let whoever you sign know that they're not guaranteed any particular spot on the roster. Someone of very high popularity and experience, however, might not sign unless they're guaranteed a midcard spot or higher. It's a negotiating tool, not anything else.
