Thoughts: I like my Franchise Players, even though it's very DeColt heavy... It's nice to see Gargantuan on that list. He's undefeated since I signed him, so has been slowly rising towards the top of the card. His feud with Trent Shaffer is his first taste of a Main Event level storyline... It'll be interesting to see how long his matches can go before Stamina is an issue, and how he carries a show... Sonny Wildside and James Hernandez on the Show Stoppers list is a welcome surprise. Their rise towards the top has also been slow, with the former still very much a lower mid carder. He held my developmental World Championship twice before I promoted him. He's just developed a new catchphrase, so that's always nice. I'm not surprised by the Time Decline guys to be honest. They're all above 40 years old, but I won't be getting rid of them any time soon. That said, if an offer comes in from another company, I won't stop them leaving if I can't compete financially. I am working to a budget after all.

Just wanted to drop in and say how much I've enjoyed reading this. I love how you've made it a more sports entertainment company. I love NOTBPW and reading your stuff has made me want to get back into the game and start a new save. I always ruin saves I have by signing every big prospect and I get to the point where I overpush everyone instead of just taking time and letting them move along slowly. Great job and I can't wait to read more

I appreciate it <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Yeah I do that too. A new rule I've made myself for every new game I start now, is to make ONE signing per month! Just one! I can sign ten, as long as I put nine in developmental. Or, instead of a signing, I can promote one from developmental. I felt this made it harder to over-bloat the roster. I'm forever firing or releasing talents when they've over stayed their usefulness.</p><p> </p><p> I occasionally have a 'tidy up' (normally after Wrestlemania in a WWE save,) where I'll get rid of some guys and girls to make room for the next twelve months!! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Anyway, thanks again... < < QUICK PICKS for NOTBPW: Championship Wrestling, APRIL 2017, WEEK 1… > >

ERIK STRONG and DONTE DUNN [vs] THE MAVERICKS (John Maverick and Julian Watson): Giving the win to the veterans here. I’m thinking a tainted victory though. Give the faces a goal to work back towards down the line

'Mainstream' JAMES HERNANDEZ[\B] [vs] 'The Iron Fist' DAN DALAY w/ Derek Frost: Hesitant to list Hernandez here but I didn’t want to make the same prediction as the previous match. I’m thinking Hernandez, he has a lot more upside and he’s the champion. I’m thinking loss here hurts Hernandez more than it would ever help DaLay.

Mr. Impact HUGH ANCRIE [vs] 'Dark Watch' ALDOUS BLACKFRIAR w/ Mutant: I think Blackfriar has a BIG future

'The Anvil' MARK GRIFFIN [vs] 'The Man Beast' AKIMA BRAVE:This was too close to call for me. I can see this being more than one match though

'All Business' HARRISON HASH [vs] 'Shooter' SEAN DEELEY w/ The Ring Generals: No way Shooter looks foolish in front of his protoges! I’m going Shooter Sean Deeley all the way!

'The Outsider' STEVE DeCOLT [vs] 'The Young Gun' RICKY DeCOLT: I’ll go with Steve here but I foresee some sort of post match beat down to build this fued going forward

<p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">I don't know a ton about the soulless machine that is NOTBPW but I'm willing to throw in some guesses here. APRIL 2017, WEEK 1...

Show Rating: (92)

Pre-Show Match:

Johnny Bloodstone & Jared Johnson beat Local Enhancement Talents with a 'Bloodstone Mutilation' (YES! Lock) (70)

Announce Team:

VbvSxLl.jpglNhSZHh.jpgkO57bES.jpg

Peter Michaels, Tom Townsend and 'RDJ' Ricky Dale Johnson

We opened this week's edition of NOTBPW Championship Wrestling, with a video package showing some highlights from the DeColt Wrestle Festival...

4fTXTJm.jpgoC2OPwl.jpg

Two days of incredible action, featuring members of the Stone Family... Members of the DeColt Family... and a supporting cast of incredible wrestlers!!

We saw Edd Stone defeat his Brother-In-Law Sean McFly on Day One... leaving a huge question mark over the legendary competitor's future with NOTBPW...

In the Main Event of Day One, World's Most Wanted (Jacob Jett and Thrill Seeker) retained their Tag Team Championships against Cameron Vessey and Christian Price...

On Day Two, the dominant Gargantuan won a Battle Royale featuring future, and former, NOTBPW stars...

Edd Stone made an impact again... Teaming with his brother Duane to defeat their other brothers: Jeremey and Dan Stone!!

In the Main Event, it was more brother on brother action, as Jack DeColt retained his NOTBPW Canadian Title against Steve DeColt...

And it was Steve DeColt who kicked us off for tonight... Heading to the ring looking fired up!!

aAfr9Iv.jpg

'The Outsider' said that The DeColt Wrestle Festival didn't go to plan for him...

Steve DeColt:
“Listen... Hard as it may be to believe... I actually RESPECT my brother Jack (DeColt)... He surprised me at The DeColt Wrestle Festival... and maybe I took him lightly... But I'm out here, right now... TELLING you... That Jack... This isn't over... I want MY Canadian Title back...”

It didn't take long for Jack DeColt to arrive onto the stage... flanked by his other brother Ricky DeColt...!

mHu7PHY.jpgI3zn8It.jpg

Jack and Ricky stayed on the stage, and from the safe distance, Jack spoke directly to Steve...

Jack DeColt:
“Yeah you took me lightly alright... You did what you've always done Steve... You thought you were BETTER than me... You thought YOU were the best DeColt brother... But I proved that it's actually ME... No one even comes close...”

Ricky seemed to not like Jack's comment, but 'The Wild Man' didn't care... He was very dismissive of his younger brother...

He then said that 'The Young Gun' Ricky DeColt would prove that Steve isn't even the SECOND best DeColt Brother... in tonight's Main Event!!

We kicked off the in-ring action with a tag team match... Featuring two young talents, and two veterans who have recently started teaming up...

Donte Dunn and Erik Strong
[vs]
John Maverick and Julian Watson – 'The Mavericks'

Donte Dunn and Erik Strong could be future Canadian Champions here with NOTBPW, but tonight they were up against two men with points to prove. The Mavericks have feuded with Johnny Bloodstone and Jared Johnson in recent weeks, and lost to the two fan favourites at the DeColt Wrestle Festival. Tonight, they were on a mission to prove how dominant they can be. They put Dunn away in the end when Julian Watson hit his 'Tiger Claw DDT' finisher!

Winners:
John Maverick and Julian Watson – 'The Mavericks'

Rating:
72

Finish:
'Tiger Claw DDT' (Double-Arm DDT)

Next up, we took a look at a preview of the next NOTBPW Pay-Per-View: Super Slam!

At the annual event, NOTBPW will hold a Battle Royale, to determine the Number One Contender for the Canadian Title...

The winner of the Battle Royale will go to June's Mid Summer Madness Main Event, and challenge the Champion!!

Favourites have emerged for the Battle Royale, including 'Shooter' Sean Deeley... 'Mainstream' James Hernandez... and the former team known as Iron Might...

Tim Westybrook and Mighty Cavanagh have been at each other's throats since they split up, but have also feuded with Hernandez for the Television Title...

Tonight, Hernandez and Deeley will both be in singles action... Hernandez up first, against CGC legend Dan DaLay...

'Mainstream'
James Hernandez [c]
[vs] 'The Iron Fist'
Dan DaLay
w/ Derek Frost

James Hernandez is a future star of NOTBPW, while Dan DaLay was a legend in CGC, so this was an interesting clash of styles. 'Mainstream' Hernandez used his quickness and his superior wrestling mind to stay out of DaLay's grip, and managed to create enough space late on to hit 'Apparition #14' and nearly cut DaLay in half!

Winner:
and STILL NOTBPW Television Champion: 'Mainstream' James Hernandez

Rating:
77

Finish:
'Apparition #14' (Spear)

</div>

With victories like that over decorated former World Champions that make it easy to see why James Hernandez is a hot favourite for the Super Slam Battle Royale later this month!

Next up, we learned that next week, we'd see two of NOTBPW's hottest young prospects: Sonny Wildside versus Ernest Youngman...

The two youngsters are evenly matched in terms of skills, but Ernest Youngman is that little bit more experienced...

DEsQxl7.jpg

Next week, they'll meet 1 on 1 for the first EVER time...

1b9oaMA.jpg

Back live, we were backstage with Duane and Edd Stone...

y9jpLMX.jpglJ2YMeB.jpg

Duane and Edd were in a GREAT mood, after months of feuding with members of their family...

Edd Stone:
“At the DeColt Wrestle Festival... Not only, did I defeat, and take out Sean (McFly)... But we also teamed up, and defeated Dan and Jeremy (Stone)... We are on a ROLL right now Duane... and I think it's about damn time... that we were rewarded for our efforts... So I think... We need to make a challenge to the NOTBPW Tag Team Champions...”

Duane agreed, and the two glared at the camera... Speaking directly to Thrill Seeker and Jacob Jett...

Duane Stone:
“WORLD'S MOST WANTED... We're coming for your Championships... And you could either give them to us... Or we're going to TAKE them...”

Edd and Duane walked out of shot, and we returned to the ring for singles action...

'Mr. Impact'
Hugh Ancrie
[vs] 'Dark Watch'
Aldous Blackfriar
w/ Mutant

A short match here, in which the newcomer Aldous Blackfriar made an impact over 'Mr. Impact' Hugh Ancrie. Winning his third match in a row, Aldous made Ancrie tap out to his 'Batwing' finisher after 6 minutes.

Winner:
'Dark Watch' Aldous Blackfriar w/ Mutant

Rating:
70

Finish:
'Batwing' (Crossface Chickenwing)

</div>

Aldous Blackfriar looked incredible out there tonight... Mutant is some back up too... The future, is DARK!!

Backstage, The CanAm Blondes (The Natural and Owen Love) were being interviewed by Katie Cameron:

EBIZGDX.jpgX4Ywtoa.jpgqmKb2Ez.jpg

The CanAm Blondes have been in poor form of late... In fact, they haven't won a single match in 2017!

Owen Love:
“At Big City Brawl in January... We had a huge opportunity, and we lost... Cameron Vessey and Christian Price... remind us, of ourselves... And not just because one's American and one's Canadian... They showed a lot of hunger... and a lot of talent... But our poor form will end soon... We're going to refocus... and re-build to a Tag Team Title shot against World's Most Wanted...”

Love was mid-flow, when Cameron Vessey and Christian Price strolled into the shot...

D2vHPEK.jpgeXdtOD1.jpg

Vessey and Price fake-apologised for interrupting, but they overheard Love's comments about them...

Cameron Vessey:
“I mean... We heard our names... And then... Did you say you're going to win a match and then earn a Tag Team Title shot...?! I mean, you just wanna leapfrog everyone...?! For me, there's only one way you can do that... and only one team you can beat to do that... and that's US...!! But there's one problem... You WON'T beat us... You CAN'T beat us... We're going to END you... and put everyone who has to watch you compete, out of their misery...!!”

Vessey and Price snarled, and walked off as Price said The CanAm Blondes were 'done'...

'The Anvil'
Mark Griffin
[vs] 'The Man Beast'
Akima Brave

An incredible performance from Akima Brave in this match. The talented Samoan veteran made light work of his young opponent, after hitting a number of high-impact moves, including a spear, and a Samoan Drop. In the end, a dazed Mark Griffin was hit with a 'Suicide Diving Headbutt' from Brave!

Winner:
'The Man Beast' Akima Brave

Rating:
71

Finish:
'Suicide Diving Headbutt' (to standing opponent)

Up next we took a look at a Wrestler Profile for 'The Monster' Gargantuan...

nmEYD7N.jpg

Gargantuan has ripped through the NOTBPW lower and mid card with a string of dominant performances...

He had a small injury back in August, and took two months off, but since he arrived back at the end of October, he's looked to take the next step...

Crushing guys as they came to the end of, or started, their careers in under 5 minutes is one thing...

But the question needed to be asked, if he can go the distance against someone in their peak...

On Day One of the DeColt Wrestle Festival, Gargantuan proved his doubters wrong, and he defeated former Canadian Champion Trent Shaffer!

It was not only a great match, but it went well over 10 minutes, and Gargantuan proved he could beat a guy on top of his game!!

We cut back live to where a battered and bruised Trent Shaffer was sat watching the action backstage...

SWo3cqv.jpg

The usually jovial Shaffer struggled to climb up out of his seat... nursing bruises and injuries...

He picked up a large knife on the table next to him... and he THREW it at the wall!!

On the wall, there was a large poster of 'The Monster' Gargantuan... The knife went through his chest and tore a large whole...

Shaffer then cut his throat with his thumb as his face winced in pain and with anger behind him...

'All Business'
Harrison Hash
[vs] 'Shooter'
Sean Deeley
w/ The Ring Generals

Two very evenly matched fighters went 1 on 1 here for the first time since this game began. It wasn't really a singles match though, because 'Shooter' Sean Deeley had a lot of help at ringside. Marv Statler and Dean Waldorf were a constant menace, and a huge help for 'Shooter' Sean. In the end Harrison Hash was defeated by Deeley's brutal 'Front Choke Lock', tapping out as soon as the hold was applied fully.

Winner:
'Shooter' Sean Deeley w/ The Ring Generals

Rating:
79

Finish:
'Front Choke Lock'

</div>

'Shooter' Sean Deeley is a fantastic performer, but it's arguable that he wouldn't have won that match without The Ring Generals in his corner...

1b9oaMA.jpg

Backstage, fan favourites Jared Johnson and Johnny Bloodstone were sat in the locker room...

Kr7eWht.jpggWvSzUq.jpg

Johnson thanked Bloodstone for his help at the DeColt Wrestle Festival, where they beat Johnson's former partner Julian Watson, and John Maverick...

Jared Johnson:
“They call themselves: 'The Mavericks'... So Julian has clearly just become John Maverick's B***H... We've got them again next week... You ready?!”

Bloodstone said he was 'born ready', and would help Johnson once again next week...

Right before the HUGE Main Event, we learned that at Super Slam, NOTBPW would welcome a new signing...

446XFyV.jpg

The video we saw didn't show who this star was... But it did confirm that the new signing would 'change the landscape of NOTBPW'...

He is said to be a former World Champion, and has been signed from one of the 'Big Three' companies in the USA...

This man... at the age of just 30, has won SEVEN Championships in his ten year career...

He also finished inside the Top 50 Wrestlers of 2016... And now, he comes to NOTBPW... To compete in the Super Slam Battle Royale!!

1b9oaMA.jpg

For tonight's Main Event, NOTBPW Canadian Champion 'The Wild Man' Jack DeColt joined the announce team...

mHu7PHY.jpg

He refused to comment on how good his younger brother Ricky is in the ring throughout the match...

'The Outsider'
Steve DeColt
[vs] 'The Young Gun'
Ricky DeColt

An absolutely amazing way to kick off April, with a jam-packed edition of NOTBPW Championship Wrestling. But this match stole the show by an absolute mile! Steve and Ricky DeColt are no strangers to one another, having grown up together in the business, as brothers with 11 years between them in age. They've also fought 1 on 1 a few times since Ricky came to NOTBPW. Steve has always gotten the better of his young brother, and tonight was no different. After an open contest, in which both men hit all of their trademark offence, including Ricky hitting his 'DeColt .45' Super Kick TWICE, Steve was able to overcome his young brother with a kick of his own. The 'DeColt Stampede' was the difference, and Ricky looked like he'd had his head kicked off!

Winner:
'The Outsider' Steve DeColt

Rating:
99

Finish:
'DeColt Stampede' (Big Boot)

</div>

After the match, Steve DeColt climbed the turnbuckle and shouted at his brother Jack on commentary...

He said he wasn't finished with Jack... Not by a long shot... and he WILL be NOTBPW Canadian Champion again...

Jack shouted through the announcer's microphone, and said he'd see Steve at Super Slam!!

SWF have STOLEN TCW's Main Draw: Wolf Hawkins in an absolutely huge signing for them... USPW AND NOTBPW were in talks to sign the mega star, but SWF's financial power outmuscled their opposition...

Speaking of contract battles, USPW have signed NOTBPW youngster: Jared Johnson ... This is really annoying, because he's one of my top young talents... He has 15 days left on his deal, so will probably do the honours on the way out...

Following on from our 99 rated Main Event, SOTBPW put on an incredible Main Event on their weekly Television show... El Leon defeated former SWF star: Valiant in a 100 rated, 5 star match that is the early favourite for Match of the Year!

Just when I thought things couldn't get worse for us here at NOTBPW... We missed out on Wolf Hawkins, and lost Jared Johnson... Well now, Johnson's tag team partner and mentor: Johnny Bloodstone has accepted a deal from TCW!! This is an absolute disaster for us!!
