Real World Chronicles Continued [Modern Day Real World Mod]

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if its solid enough to add, but WWE's working relationship with NOAH could probably be put into the mod.

Edit: Also I would also suggest that you should update the NWA if you want to. A lot of titles are missing from the game (I know they are all vacant IRL) and it doesn't feel right to play as CWFH without the ability to use the NWA titles with their histories.

Hi all just want to pop in and say that I'd love to help out here. I have a ton of experience running real world NJPW games so I can give a lot of feedback on stats for those workers. I did a massive overhaul of a lot of the workers from the old database in my own game and would hope to not have to do that again. I can also help with finishers/signature moves if that is needed as well. So glad to see this is working out and can't wait to start a new game with this data.

One thing to note right away - time decline for some of the older NJPW guys like Minoru Suzuki. He just had arguably the best year of his career n 2017, but in my game he hit time decline right away and started to struggle to get matches in the Cs. I think the age for decline for guys like him, Liger, Kojima and Nagata should be much higher than the age for guys who we have seen decline already like Nakanishi, Tenzan and Iizuka.

I don't expect you to add all the NWA titles ever because that would obviously be too much. Some of the ones I would like to see: NWA World Women's, NWA World Junior Heavyweight, NWA World Six Man, and NWA World Television. I know none of these are used anymore, but it would be nice to have the option to use them.

All the other titles were either retired or territory titles that got renamed after they got pulled from the NWA.</p>

<p>Takeover spoilers</p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

Kairi Sane won the NXT Womens</span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

Ricochet won the NXT North American</span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

Matt Riddle is now officially with NXT </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

A graphic showed Alexa Bliss with no title mentioned vs Trish Stratus at Evolution.</span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

Notes wise - Sane's acting was pretty great post match, she was emotional but didn't forget to keep selling the damage she had suffered - Shayna B probably needs a re-evaluation stats wise as she really is pretty damn good at this point. Matt Riddle probably gets a slight bump in pop straight away. Ciampa is seriously underrated in a lot of categories and like Shayna needs to be re-evaluated s he is just an amazing worker now - pretty much make him more like Johnny g wrestling stats wise and up Menace. Trent Seven probably needs an upgrade in ring as he's under-rated and at his age wont get better naturally in game. Ricochet-Cole was a show stealer, I'd recommend upping Ricochets SQ a tad as he came off as a star here.</span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

</span></p><p> </p><p>

I mentioned in the Draft thread changes to La Chica Yeye and Estrella Divina based on physical changes and actually watching their bouts on youtube (La Chica YeYe is actually not incompetent like in the mod and is actually a pretty good worker). Going down the Exotico rabbit hole was weirdly a hell of a lot of fun.</p><p> </p><p>

Madison Eagles has extensive booking experience in PWA & PWWA so should have those Business stats as well as ownership skills. Given that those feds have run a fairly long time now (over a decade) the Owner skills should probably go up given how many feds fold early.</p>

Forgive me if its been asked but will the WWE have an improvement so it isn't such a huge struggle to book them? I could be In the minority but I remember people complaining that the WWE wrestlers stats were so bad that it caused some forum issues between some members and the mod creator because it seemed really hard to get good matches done all the time.

I believe now that im thinking about it, it was THEWHO's mod but not Fleit. Im also kinda a noob with the Real world stuff anyways im sure theres ways to get A's for shows and matches easier than what I've been doing. Just so used to the 80-90s mods and getting high level matches with bigger companies is easier, while I flop with WWE or NJPW with modern day mods.</p>

<p>Summerslam Spoilers</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FFFFFF;">Roman won the Universal - it was a terrible match which hurt both reigns and Braun</span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

Ronda won the RAW womens - squash.</span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

Charlotte won the SD Womens - Becky turns heel on her at the end</span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

Seth wins the IC</span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

Notes - Seth & Dolph have great chemistry as do Miz & Bryan and AJ & Samoa Joe (obviously). Brie & Nikki are back (make Brie & Daniel Bryan and Maryse & Miz teams because that is definitely coming and Maryse and Miz have some experience as a team at this point). It was a good show including a great pre show but the last two matches Universal and raw Womens were duds. Ronda and Alexa could have great chemistry but who would know because Alexa was given zero offence. Too many squashes too with Braun, Balor, Ronda getting virtual walkovers. Vince also had a bad booking night with the AJ and Bryan matches being too close together and too similar in both story and finish which lessened the impact of the Miz/Bryan bout. Once again NXT Takeover outshone the Main Roster show. </span></p>

If you've not watched it yet, save yourselves and watch WXW or New Zealand's SPW instead. Easily the worst major WWE pay per view ever.

Worse ever, really? You must not watch alot of the E. I liked Summerslam everything made sense and continued the stories besides KO/Braun. But apparently people dislike things that make sense and solid to good matches.

I'm clearly not a mod, but I would prefer to avoid the "it was good/bad" discussion if we can in here for:</p><p>

A) the sake of spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet</p><p>

B) keeping this thread on track for posting edits so I don't have to comb through pages of people's SummerSlam opinions to track down requested changes, as I can always do that <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60930" rel="external nofollow">HERE</a></p>

<p>LazarN made some good points about Impact Wrestling earlier. I'd like to add a few more:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><ol style="list-style-type:decimal;"><li>Eddie Edwards is a babyface: he changed gimmick but didn't turn. It looks like his Entertainment stats are a bit out of date now that he's been in Impact's angle-heavy environment for four years. I think his talking is a little worse than Tommy Dreamer's but he's about as Charismatic.<br /></li><li>Caleb Konley doesn't come across as more of a Star than Trevor Lee, and definitely has less Charisma.<br /></li><li>Fallah Bahh is extremely entertaining in angles. It's hard to say how good he'd be on the Mic without the Pokemon gimmick, but he's definitely a charismatic guy and a fair actor. He's been doing skits with KM and the two are probably on the same overall level. In the ring, his style comes across more as Entertainer than Brawler; he bumps and sells well (especially considering his girth) and he has a good connection with the crowd in his Comedy matches, but I don't recall being wowed by his moves. I also think he's too short to be a Super Heavyweight - Big Heavyweight is probably enough. Finally, he is a fairly decent athlete despite his appearance.<br /></li><li>Grado does not have an average body. I think he'd be happy to be typed "Flabby". He's also a poor athlete. (It's very surprising that he gets rated higher than Fallah Bahh, slightly ahead of Tessa Blanchard, and only a little worse than Santana.)<br /></li><li>Hernandez looks more Bulky than Muscular these days. Age catches up with all of us. He might also be in age decline - at any rate, he comes across as powerful but not all that athletic these days.<br /></li><li>Homicide also looks like he's hitting age decline.<br /></li><li>John Hennigan is probably too much of an all-rounder with his top row skills. He's certainly good at everything, but his flash and aerial skills stand out as strengths.<br /></li><li>Abyss just isn't what he used to be. He's still a big guy and has power, but age and injuries have destroyed his speed.<br /></li><li>Killer Kross stands out on the Impact roster. He is definitely charismatic and his promos are solid. On-camera is quite subjective but I think he's clearly more menacing than Eli Drake.<br /></li><li>Eddie Kingston has been working hard on his promos in the last few years. He's not on Konnan's level but his mic skills are now a standout.<br /></li><li>KM is good at comedy.<br /></li><li>Kongo Kong isn't a flashy brawler, but he's not boring either. I'd suggest putting him about midway between Eli Drake and Brian Cage in that regard. (As an aside, he's significantly more athletic than Abyss or Grado, though both of them seem to be over-rated.)<br /></li><li>Matt Sydal seems to be transitioning from Cruiserweight to Technician and working a safer style as a consequence. His strength is still flash and aerial, but he's employing more submissions. Like other Impact people, he's worked on his entertainment skills and his promos aren't bad these days.<br /></li><li>Pentagon Jr.'s overall stats make him out to be a very good high flier who is also very charismatic, which seems at odds with how he wrestles these days. He's a charismatic entertainer with some flashy moves. (I'm also unconvinced by his look. Sami Callihan was able to impersonate him, which isn't a good sign.)<br /></li><li>Fenix is a bit better-rounded than he's made out to be. Yes, he is a wonderful flyer but he can grapple and his strikes look OK.<br /></li><li>Su Yung isn't a very good wrestler but she can sell and has a great gimmick. (The best match I've seen her in was against Saraya Knight at a Rise show. Su's job was to sell attempted homicide and she definitely did her part.)<br /></li><li>Taya has built up her body, uses power moves, and doesn't show as much skin these days. Her distribution of on-camera seems dated and while it's hard to judge shoot strength in wrestling she's presented as one of the most powerful women on Impact.<br /></li><li>Speaking of changing looks, Tessa Blanchard has spent a lot of time in the gym since she was typed as skinny! She's definitely somewhere in the toned-muscular zone now and that look makes her stand out. Her promos are good - she sounds shrill but that could be a heel affectation.<br /></li><li>Impact's backstage interviewers, McKenzie Mitchell and Alicia Atout, probably warrant inclusion. Atout is a little more charismatic, Mitchell has better on-camera qualities, and both are poised on the mic.<br /></li><li>It's not necessary to have all of Impact's new referees, but Kris "Ref Riley" Lewin's boyish looks have gotten him a bit of a cult following so he would be a good pick.<br /></li></ol><p></p>

<p>I think claiming Grado should be less athletic than Bahh is unfair, probably both around the same level if you take everything in to consideration. He's definitely flabby, but that's part of the gimmick. Although, he was a chunky wee monkey back when he started training.</p><p> </p><p>

I think with Impact, it's important to remember that they're all mostly "X at Y, for that level" as a lot would sink in RoH nevermind WWE.</p>

I also would love to see what you have for tag teams and chemistry suggestions.</p><p> </p><p> For the stats, I can see what you are saying with the Puro stat. One thing to note is that probably the biggest swing I am taking this release is modeling stats closer to the CVerse in terms of worker skills. In the default CVerse db, of the 1,524 active workers there are only 4 people total above 80 in any Rumble (Brawling, Puro, Hardcore) category. 1 at 81 (brawling) and 3 at 84 (Puro). I plan to model this data set the same way and the working cap I have is 83 or 84 right now for rumble skills, 87 or 88 for technical skills (the only one above this is Buddy Garner who is an all world MMA guy who wrestles) and similar caps for Aerial.</p><p> </p><p> Fleisch has actually done a pretty fantastic job of keeping high stats in check in his editing, and I plan to take a similar path.</p><p> </p><p> So, all that said, the guys you mentioned should be at or near the top of the food chain in terms of that stat, but pushing them into B+ and above category is a little past what I would be comfortable with. My guess is most all of the guys you mentioned will check in around the low 80's for Puro stat (maybe not Tana as he's lost just that half a step in terms of match quality with his age, but his performance stats being upgraded should offset that nicely). In addition, the area that they all could use a little tweaking in is in their performance skills and that that bump should be reflected the next go around as well.</p><p> </p><p> Can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks!</p>

<p>Just a little update from me on mod status.</p><p> </p><p>

44 companies complete for real life match ratios, just need to knock out Mexico (soooo many trios tags to count) and wXw. Then it's on to title defense settings.</p><p> </p><p>

Still chugging along on updated logos/banners as well. About 1/3 of the way through all companies (some selections below).</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="PbjnNSF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PbjnNSF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="E2SRJl3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/E2SRJl3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="mw3vKFC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mw3vKFC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Also have made most of the tweaks mentioned in the thread so far and those I haven't made yet are on my to-do list. We are over 300 tweaks so far (not counting company settings/match ratios) so the initial update should feel fresh to everyone.</p><p> </p><p>

As mentioned above (and in the first post) I will be rescaling worker stats in the coming months. <strong>I'd like to ask that any stat tweaks be submitted by early October</strong>, so I can spend the bulk of that month adjusting stats (there are 2.5k workers to update) and testing the database in prep for release.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>I would love feedback especially in the following categories:</strong></p><p>

- Company products that you all feel are "off" or could use tweaking</p><p>

- Updated movesets</p><p>

- Tag teams/stables not in the data</p><p>

- Face/Heel turns</p><p>

- Or any other suggestions you would like to see for release.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, in the worst kept secret in this thread, I'd like to announce that <strong>Tokyo Joshi Pro will be in for the November release</strong> (with more to be announced at a later date). Enjoy Maki Itoh in her home environment!</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="9IkG4UA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9IkG4UA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I've been blown away by the feedback so far, keep it coming!</p>

Those logos look great!

- Company products that you all feel are "off" or could use tweaking

Looking at Impact's product, it shouldn't make the Aerial skill less effective. Under Anthem, they've been relying heavily on luchadores and lucha-inspired Americans, so Lucha Libre at Medium might be the best way to resolve this.

- Tag teams/stables not in the data

Andrew Everett and DJ Z have been tagged up as Z&E. They should have about 5 experience and a brief title reign.

On that topic, the Deaners aren't in contract to Impact. It can be confusing to follow this roster because they often get in guys on loan or for one-offs, and Cody and Jake seem to be in the latter category.

It might be a good idea to cull Impact's Stable list. The currently active stables are:

Desi Hit Squad

LAX

OGz (*)

oVe

Cult of Lee (*)

And both the OGz and the Cult of Lee are effectively tag teams. Of the inactive stables, only Decay, the DCC, and the Helms Dynasty are particularly recent. (And I wouldn't have both the Helms Dynasty and Cult of Lee on the list, as one turned into the other.) Other than that, these entries aren't really helping players. For example, if someone really wanted to reform the Beautiful People, they don't need the database to tell them who was in it.

- Or any other suggestions you would like to see for release.

I'm not sure that Slammiversary and Bound for Glory are Highly Regarded any more. They're probably Above Average these days.

claiming Grado should be less athletic than Bahh is unfair, probably both around the same level if you take everything in to consideration.

What I took into consideration was their speed in the ring (which is similar), ability to jump (neither gets much height and Bahh is moving much more mass) and coordination. I mainly judged coordination on bumping, because Grado's move-set mainly showcases his excellent showmanship and charisma. Bahh bumps quite gracefully, while Grado sometimes looks uncomfortable taking moves. I'll grant that Bahh's is probably worse, but that feels more like Stamina. Hopefully, that either explains my judgment or shows where I've gone wrong.
