My take on this show : You have to push AD because he's AD - he's botchy as hell but he's still potentially good if on. Jester is a relatively big fish in your pond and probably your best worker so he will cheat to win because you need to keep his pop up. Slade has a rep under his old name so he'll go over again because at your level any recognition is better than none. The Tag Team could go either way but again Burke is the bigger name at this point so needs to be built up in a fledgling promotion.</p>

Ceri:

Like, hey everybody. I'm Ceri and I'm like totally happy to be here. So, last month, right here in YEPW, something like, totally bad happened and now our professor here is going to tell us what happened. So, Prof, whats up?

 

Ventris:

Ceri, the soul collectors are here. They have come from the Realm of Darkness to banish us all to their desolate world and replace us with our soul collector counter parts. If they do this, they will take over our world, Ceri. We cannot allow this to happen. However, we have our saviour, Luke Schwartz, my assistant, was a affected by the blast, he has the power to banish these soul collectors and tonight, he faces their leader, Jester to prove he can do just that.

 

Ceri:

Oh, okay. We like are totally counting on you and your assistant then.

 

Ventris:

Yes, but I believe in him. Now, I must go, he needs my help to get ready.

Trey once again shows that he has his homework done. He dodges the rush from Devil at the opening bell, and all his subsequent attacks

 

Reacher:

He's trying to tire out the Devil?

 

Platten:

I don't think mysterious beings like Australian Devil get tired?

 

Platten is right, and Devil doesn't let up. When the opportunity arises for Trey to get an attack off he takes it, but it does nothing to Devil. He hits an overhead suplex on Devil but again, Devil gets straight up.

 

Reacher:

What on Earth, this Devil, he's unaffected.

 

Platten:

Trey may know all his tricks, but when it comes to executing his offense, he just can't do it well enough.

 

From here, Devil wastes no time and destroys Trey and a Tumbleweed Legdrop ends it

Hmm, you certainly have the looks to join me in the ring, however, you have stolen the heart of my sweetheart....

Lothario:

Ceri:

Um, I like totally told you, you can't have my heart.

 

Blake:

Don't you worry sweetheart, you ain't hot enough to be my type.

 

Ceri:

Lothario:

Excellent, Ceri's heart belongs to me...

Lothario:

Blake:

Blake and Lothario walk off as Ceri stands there for a moment, thinking real hard at what Blake said.

 

Ceri:

Hey, wait a minute.

 

Ceri then storms after them as she has realised what Blake said.

 

 

With everybody gone, Trey Tallman is visible in the background, completely unnoticed.

 

Tallman:

All... All I want is a friend.

 

Initially feeling sorry for himself, Trey picks himself up again, putting on an angry face, though it more resembles a toddler throwing a tantrum

 

Tallman:

Hmph, just they wait til they find out what I've done. They'll see me then... THEY'LL ALLL SEEEEEEE!!!

Once again, Blake brings a mirror to the ring but this time, he has to share the mirror with Lothario, however, neither man likes that and they begin a little shoving match to get in front of the mirror before the ref grabs it off them meaning they have to wrestle. Burke and Blake begin and Burke does all the moves he's seen on tv, the dropkick, drop toe hold, headlock. It's then you realise that Burke only looked so good last month cause he was in the ring with Luke Schwartz and that his moveset looks quite simple.

 

Platten:

He's got a nice headlock in there, Burke knows how to wear down his opponent.

 

Reacher:

What are you talking about the guy clearly knows no moves. He's nothing but a fan.

 

He tags in D-Pod, but Blake rolls out of the ring, shouting at the ref that he was struck in the face, which they aren't allowed to do, not his beautiful face. When he gets back in the ring, he tags Lothario in. Lothario asks for a time out from the ref as he removes his jacket and hat to wrestle but instead he throws his hat at D-Pod which distracts him and he darts in to take D-Pod down.

 

Platten:

What a dirty move!

 

Reacher:

Dirty?!?!? I call that a genius at work.

 

Lothario then use quick tags to isolate D-Pod and they do well too. That is until Blake hits D-Pod with a slap in the corner. UH OH! Time to get excited. D-Pod goes wide eyes running around in circles in the ring as Blake tries to keep up with him, spinning around. he's getting dizzy, woaaaah. TIMBER! Blake falls to the floor as the arena is spinning for him. D-Pod can capitalise, Moonsault Press. 1... 2.... 3. Oh, Lothario didn't break it up cause he was looking at himself in the mirror, figures.

Luke Schwartz sits backstage on a step, looking at the ground, brooding almost. His white hair cover his face, until he looks up and the light shows his face, he looks a little worried but seems to be psyching himself up.

 

Schwartz:

I am the saviour, I have to become someone else. A symbol of hope. I am no longer Luke Schwartz, lab assistant. I am....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

THE WHITE WASP

Platten:

Wow, Luke... I mean White Wasp looks extremely confident here.

 

Reacher:

Yeah, it seems even Prof. Ventris is surprised by his level of confidence.

 

Unfortunately, that confidence is not justified. Jester explodes onto Wasp without any rhyme of reason just to annihilate the youngster. He shows admirable determination. Throwing elbows and kicks to try and get going but they barely do much Jester who shrugs them off. In the end, it's a formality, Wasp tries hard but it isn't nearly enough and a Punchline later does exactly what it's supposed to wrap it up in a bow.

 

Platten:

He tried and tried ut it wasn't enough.

 

Reacher:

Yeah, even I momentarily forgot that it was Luke Schwartz under the mask.

And with the match over the inevitable beatdown begins. Jester doesn't stop just because the bell rang and his fellow soul collectors, Eraser and Bile join him. White Wasp is helpless like a baby deer in the eyes of a hunting lion, he has no chance.

 

 

However, swooping in like a here, a man in a thunder blue mask runs to the ring climbs the ropes and hits a crossbody, connecting with all three of the soul collectors. He focuses on Jester punching him over and over again in the corner but the numbers game come into affect as Bile and Eraser attack him from behind. BUT NO! A swift flip backwards gets him out of their sights and they turn to get hit by a single leg dropkick. The soul collectors flee as this masked man stands large in the ring.

 

 

However, that ends quickly as a man in a black mask enters the ring and superkicks him in the face before leaving again swiftly. Sure, he caught the man in the thunder blue mask by surprise but it only stunned him momentarily as he looked out at the man in the black mask holding his jaw.

Having helped White Wasp backstage, the man in the thunder blue mask grabs an ice pack for Wasp as Prof. Ventris enters behind them. The masked man needs no ice pack for his face despite the kick, while Wasp puts the ice pack to his face, back and head as he was clearly beatdown.

 

Ventris:

So, yeah, who are you?

 

Silver:

My name is Quick Silver. I am one of your creations.

 

Ventris:

Ah yes, of course.... Wait, my creations?

 

Silver:

Yes, you created me. With great morals and strength I will defend this world.

 

Ventris:

Um, yeah. Hang on one moment.

 

Stuffing his hand in his pocket, Prof. Ventris pulls out the power metre. He points it at Quick Silver, the power metre goes to full, he then points it at Wasp and the metre goes way down. He repeats it again, same response.

 

Ventris:

Yes... You are my creation.

 

Ventris is shocked as Wasp bows his head as he is not the saviour, he is a nobody as Ventris sinks deep in thought.

 

Silver:

Oh, don't you worry Mr. Wasp. You are not useless. You just need training, be my apprentice and we will squash evil, together?

 

Wasp:

Yes, of course.... Thank you.

 

Silver:

Don't mention it, a man needs all the help he can get.

 

Ventris:

Wait, wait, wait, wait....

 

Ventris snaps back to life

 

Ventris:

What do you mean "one of my creations"?

 

Silver:

You made two powerful beings, the other showed up tonight and we must stop him.

 

Ventris:

Wait, we have enough to stop, the Soul Collectors, they'll...

 

Silver:

We have no time to waste, we must go and catch him.

 

Ventris:

NO WAIT!!

 

Silver runs off screen as Ventris stumbles after him. Wasp sits there silently for a moment, keeping the ice pack on his neck until...

 

Wasp:

Well... I'm staying out of this one.

Jackson Slade (D-) v Mortimer Pyle (E+)

 

While they stand across from each other, Slade is calm, definitely cool and collected, while in contrast, Pyle has a tablet in his hand. He seems to be running equations and formulas on the probability of him winning. One the equation is finished, he widened his eyes and says "oh boy" as clearly the odds are not in his favour.

 

Reacher:

Based on cool factor alone, Slade has this in the bag.

 

Platten:

Never mind the cool factor, Slade is a very good talent, regardless of the name he uses.

 

Reacher:

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

 

Slade is pretty dominant early, striking a cool pose for pictures between his long segments of dominance. Eventually, it hurts him and Pyle takes an opportunity when he see's one.

 

Platten:

The forumula he wrote, this must've told him that this would be the best chance of winning the match, when Slade was distracted.

 

Reacher:

Hey, that's cheating.

 

Platten:

What? No it isn't, it's strategy.

 

Pyle gains momentum quick but it isn't enough, the Pyle-Driver is countered with ease and Slade's cool demeanor returns.

 

Reacher:

That was his chance and he blew it.

 

Platten:

I hate to say this, but I think I agree with you there.

 

Reacher:

hey, just because you're a geek and know formulas and equations and chemistry and stuff doesn't mean you can win in wrestling.

 

Platten:

Actually, I think his formula was blatantly clear he was going to have trouble tonight.

 

And yes, soon enough the formula's prediction is proven correct as a Sladerizer ends it for the geek.

Slade doesn't get much time to celebrate as Jester, Bile and Eraser enter the ring and attack him. However, it isn't just for him as Pyle gets a beatdown too. It's quick, it's brutal but it's calculated. The Soul Collectors make a statement as Slade and Pyle lay lifeless in the ring.

 

Jester:

We've made our mark.... but this is just the beginning.... your souls.... we'll be collecting them soon.....

 

MYAH HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHA!

My take: ??? is either a jobber or a decent signing you want to push so I am going with a push. Trey is getting over with the fanbase here so a victory makes sense. White Wasp needs a win otherwise that build up is for nought and I can see QS causing BF to lose here. AD can take a loss after a couple of wins and Vance needs to be kept strong. Jester is the guy for your fed in terms of work and baseline pop so his first loss isn't coming to QS who will probably be cost the win by outside distraction by either jesters lackeys or Black Flash.</p>

Rider's entrance is slow and fear inducing and we see it in Blake's face the second Rider got in the ring. When the bell rang, Blake was in two minds between running away and just going all out attack, he chose the latter which was admirable, but ate a vicious headbutt in the process.

 

Platten:

Can you spell unfair? Wow, Lone Rider is impressive.

 

Reacher:

Don't mind that, what about Blake? He might be buried alive by this reaper dude, we can't bury that much beauty.

 

Platten:

It's Rider, Dan. Lone Rider.

 

Reacher:

Whatever, he can't go around burying people in the sand.

 

Platten:

I'm pretty sure he isn't going to.

 

Despite that, you do get the feeling that Blake would put his head in the sand if Rider were to pass him in the desert. We clearly know little about Lone Rider, but he gives us a lesson in what to expect from him, dominance. A Ride On later, and that's all she wrote.

Trey again shows he's done his homework, constantly dodging D-Pod's moves early on. However, it's his offense that is the problem, every attack does little if nothing to D-Pod, it doesn't even get him fired up.

 

Reacher:

D-Pod isn't even getting hyped from these attacks

 

Platten:

Guess it shows that D-Pod doesn't always need to get hype.

 

Platten is bang on, as without getting hyped or excited, D-Pod downs Trey and hits the Moonsault Press and secures the win.

Backstage, Prof. Ventris and White Wasp sit as Quick Silver paces around the room. He seems slightly worried or anxious.

 

Silver:

With all due respect professor, you don't know Black Flash.

 

Ventris:

I know that, but everything will be fine, you can take on Jester tonight and White Wasp will do the best he can with Black Flash, it'l l be fine.

 

Silver:

I don't want to put my protege in that much danger, it would...

 

Wasp:

I can handle it, why are you so afraid of him?

 

Silver:

I ain't afriad Wasp, a hero is never afraid. Take that down in your "How to be a Super Hero" notebook...

 

Wasp grabs a notepad behind him and grabs a pen, swiftly writing in the note.

 

Silver:

...but it is not that I am afraid. Black Flash is my other half.

 

Ventris:

Wait, what do you mean?

 

Silver:

Professor, when you made us, you didn't just make us both powerful, you gave us each a mindset. I am the good, the light, the hero. He, on the other hand, is the opposite. The bad, the dark, the villain. We both have goals, I want to save the world, he wants to destroy it. It's simple, if we don't deal with him, he'll succeed.

 

A tad worried by the story, Ventris frowns a little

 

Ventris:

We will deal with him, but Jester is our priority now, we take him out Black Flash will be next.

 

Quick Silver nods in agreement as the three show they are in unison.

Ceri here once again, being happy to be here, with none other than the cool Jackson Slade beside me. So, Slade, what's up?

 

Slade:

I'm glad you asked Ceri. For the first time in the history, of this company, I will not be in the main event, which is so not cool. However, I will be paying close attention to it.

 

Ceri:

Like, why's that?

 

Slade:

Simple Ceri. Jester is in it. He beat me up last week and that also ain't cool and I'm all about being cool Ceri, you know me...

 

 

At this point, Francis Burke makes his way on screen

 

Burke:

Cool? You don't have a cool name though. Why do you go as Jackson Slade when your name is Pook...

 

Slade quickly covers Burke's mouth, interrupting him

 

Slade:

Jackson Slade, my name is Jackson Slade. Excuse me Ceri, I gotta talk with Francis for a bit.

 

Slade pulls Burke away and we see him talking to him in the background of the shot. We can't make out what's he's saying but Slade seems to be asking a favour, I wonder what about.

Black Flash (D) v White Wasp (E) w/ Prof. Ventris

 

Although nowhere near as confident as last week, Wasp does seem to be pretty comfortable in the ring, but it doesn't change anything. He still tries hard and the fans appreciate that but Black Flash is on another level, like a lot higher of a level.

 

Platten:

Oh god, another brutal strike by Black Flash. Wasp is getting battered.

 

Reacher:

It's like beat the nerd like what used to happen to.. I mean like I used to do in high school

 

Wasp tries his best and yeah, it isn't much but Flash really dominates, however, he does expend a lot of energy. A Black Out ends it for Wasp, but it was very obvious that Wasp winning here, was not the plan

Heya guys, Ceri back again and I'm totally happy to be here. I got Mortimer Pyle here, so Morty, what's up?

 

Pyle:

Um, well, first of all my name is Mortimer, not Morty.

 

Ceri:

Pyle:

Secondly, nothing is up. I've spent my day doing some equations on some things.

 

Ceri:

Oh, equations? You like a scientist?

 

Pyle:

No, not exactly. I just like doing equations in math, chemistry, biology and physics so I...

 

 

This is when Vance Sturt pops his head on screen

 

Sturt:

Did you say chemistry?

 

Pyle:

Um, yeah.

 

Sturt:

Well, I run a business that could use a chemist.

 

Pyle:

Oh, what business do you run?

 

Sturt:

Well, it's, ahhh

 

Ceri:

He like totally runs a bakery. He sells flour.

 

Sturt:

Yeah, exactly. Flour.

 

Pyle:

Oh.

 

Sturt:

Yeah, and you could help me out. You know to make my product better.

 

Pyle:

Um, yeah sure I can.

 

Sturt:

Excellent. Now come right this way and we can discuss some terms.

 

Sturt and Pyle walk off screen as Sturt smiles devilishly.

Australian Devil (E+) v Vance Sturt (E)

 

Sturt is in the ring grinning very confidently, clearly he's happy about something. Of course, that isn't very good for the match as Devil explodes out the gate.

 

Platten:

You can not get cocky against Australian Devil.

 

Reacher:

Devils cheats man.

 

Platten:

No he doesn't, the bell rung.

 

Reacher:

But Sturt wasn't ready.

 

And because of this, Sturt never really gets into the match and in the end it really hurts him as Devil hits the Tumbleweed Legdrop and ends it.

Jester (D-) v Quick Silver (D-)

 

This match starts pretty evenly, Jester laughs a lot when he's both on offense and when he's in pain.

 

Platten:

That's disturbing as hell.

 

Reacher:

For once, we agree.

 

And that puts Silver off his game, as he stops punching Jester as he doesn't think it's affecting him. Bad move, Jester quickly goes back on the attack and Silver is in trouble.

 

Platten:

You talk about mind games, Jester is a king of them.

 

Reacher:

I guess they train crazy in the Realm of Darkness.

 

Jester continues to laugh as he beats down Silver but Silver gets a lifeline as he counters a clothesline with one of his own but they both connect, knocking both men to the mat, Jester still laughing as he rolls around on the mat.

 

 

Aw man, clearly not tired out like they had planned, Black Flash makes an appearance knocking out the ref. He waits for Silver to stand and connects with a superkick knocking Silver back to the mat, as Jester stands up and then bends over his head hanging over the top rope as he leans on it, smirking and laughing all the while.

 

Platten:

Aw come on, this wasn't needed.

 

Reacher:

Yeah, literally. I don't think Jester needed the help

 

Jester turns and Flash is standing outside the ring but he takes no notice as Silver is out on the mat. Punchline and Jester lifts the ref up and screams in his face, the ref snaps back to life in fear as Jester orders him to count, he does and Silver is done for.

Just cause the pin was made, doesn't mean it's over for Quick Silver. Bile and Eraser quickly join the fray and the attack begins.

 

 

Almost like they were waiting in the wings, Jackson Slade, Mortimer Pyle and White Wasp come rushing in, Pyle obviously wanting some payback for last month too. They charge the ring and The Soul Collectors and Flash leave he ring, but not together. Flash goes up the ramp and The Soul Collectors go through the crowd. Slade and Pyle look out at Jester who is laughing while Wasp looks out at Flash, Quick Silver still laid out. The last thing we see is Jester amongst the crowd, laughing.

Love the Lone Rider Mask. It takes him from meh to kind of cool. Hopefully Tallman returns to his status as a jobber now because much like Mike Bennett he's not going to be a star where he is or anywhere else to be honest. Totally get BF getting the win although I hoped that a interference ending would have given WW some much needed momentum. You went the other way with the upset by having AD go over and lets face it Vance isn't that good so I get the decision. The Main Event was pretty predictable but that's not a bad thing - Jester is the guy in terms of ability and initial pop in your fed and he needs to go over a spot monkey like QS here.</p><p> </p><p>

A lot of people went with picks that I didn't expect here. Trey is very over with you guys and that's cool, but I wonder who else is over. As most of you guys are choosing who you think will win, not who you want to win, I don't know who you guys like and don't but I'm going on the morale that I'll stick to my story and see who gets over.

Lone Rider v Trey Tallman

 

I love the way you have spun Lone Rider. I often have him running as The Original Lone Riders son, and being an egotistical heel, or a clean baby face trying to prove himself. Making him commit to a gimmick like this seems awesome, hopefully he has the charisma to develop it. Trey Tallman is a favourite of mine since using him in my diary, and I love and eagerly await the twist in his story here. However he won't get that against a guy who had such a strong debut. So he gets overlooked for another week.

 

Francis Burke v Vance Sturt

 

I don't actually like either guy here, I don't know what it is but I never got behind Burke after he left APW. The guy can go, and is a good independent wrestler. Could go the other way to keep Vance strong, but Burke is essentially your guy behind the others in the Main Event. So good to keep him strong.

 

Australian Devil v D-Pod

 

Again D-Pod is a guy I don't really use from the Independent scene in Australia. While Australian Devil is a guy that always gets a shot to prove himself. Devil should take this over D-Pod, it is probably close between the two but their run of form has me take Devil.

 

Black Flash, Bile, Eraser & Jester v Jackson Slade, Mortimer Pyle, Quick Silver & White Wasp

 

Picking who is going to win, and not my favourites as Slade, Silver and Wasp are all in my diary and some of my favourites. Particularly Wasp, but I see him being the weak link in the chain here. I also absolutely detest Black Flash. The bloke destroyed my locker room backstage after getting the biggest of pushes. I love the story line between Flash and Quick Silver, it reminds me of The Android saga from Dragon Ball Z. Also 3/4 of the heels are a team so that should function a little smoother.
