Potential historical mod (Opinions and suggestions)

But with the lifespan of the game getting slowly closer to its end each day that passes, I would love to have a proper shot at the ruthless agression era.</p>

<p>To be honest I think you should just decide what you feel passionate about. All the stuff I've ever heard about creating these things is that it's a heck of a lot of work and if that's the case then you are best to pick something that you are really keen to play yourself. </p><p> </p><p>

If I was ever doing a mod for instance I'd do something like Flashpoint but where a series of events and decisions has led to a world which is plausible but very different to what we have now</p><p> </p><p>

What happens if Magnum T.A doesn't have that car crash? He essentially gets Stings spot in the NWA.</p><p> </p><p>

What Happens to Sting given the UWF takeover saw promises to him broken and in this scenario he is behind Magnum T.A in the pecking order? He goes to the WWF and Vince then positions him in the replacement figurehead role rather than Ultimate Warrior.</p><p> </p><p>

What if Vince's reaction to the Curtain Call is more severe? If Sting is in the WWF then maybe the Cliq isn't as powerful meaning he decides to fire HHH for the incident. That means HHH is there for the start of the NWO and also that he doesn't marry Stephanie after spending lots of time with her. </p><p> </p><p>

Etc Etc. The end product would be recognisable in some ways but very different in others. I'd love to play that world but the idea of the sheer amount of work creating it is … lets say daunting and I'm old, busy and lazy. I'm tossing around just creating a version of the WWE using the RWC or Flashpoint as a base and adding or tweaking the people I'd be using for it and then do a diary - that's still work to set up but it's not a whole world with all the title histories etc. </p><p> </p><p>

My point being that my idea is something I'd love to do but at the the same time the effort it would take to do it properly and my lack of skills in creating the data puts me off. I think you really need to be keen on an idea to see the mod through to completion that's why I think you really need to make the choice yourself. You can definitely ask for feedback but ultimately you need to find something that will hold your interest and that you feel you'll be able to complete.</p>

Basically, I'd want a "complete history of pro-wrestling" mod, where it can be started at any point in history and the wrestling world will be accurate. Companies will be founded and closed at their real dates, wrestlers will debut, retire and even die when historically accurate, etc. All this can obviously be avoided through interference, but if left to its own devices, the mod would run as a highly accurate history of wrestling. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

actually i started with a similar mod in 1950, then i started to work on until 2010. every company and every worker listed on wrestlingdata and cagematch was integrated.

However, I lost interest in it after I was too busy with other projects.

I wouldn't call it a mod.The project was in the early stages, and was never finished. It was never playable or well balanced.
