LB: Hello and welcome to a very special edition of Saturday Night Slammasters. This is our 100th episode. That’s right folks. You are witnessing history. 100 episodes of Saturday Night Slammasters will be in the books when this episode goes off the air. We’re coming to you from the Huntsville Fairgrounds in the very underrated city of Huntsville, Alabama. I’m Lee Bambino and I’m joined in the broadcast booth for this historic night by my partner, the legendary former World’s Champion, Ricky Dale Johnson.

RDJ: Thanks for having me here with you, Lee. This should be a great night of professional wrestling. We have a blockbuster main event as The Last Lions team up to face The Devil’s Rejects in what I’m sure will be a hard hitting contest. Also tonight, the Television Title is on the line. Alicia Strong will team up with Brooke Tyler to face Amber Allen and Jaime Quine.

LB: Plus a major announcement from the CWL matchmaker “Pistol” Pete Hall. It should be a great night, but before we go ringside, Father Grim is standing by backstage with some words.

I sat behind my desk with a stack of paperwork to go through. Mostly financial reports. How much we were paying for buildings, how much we were getting from sponsors, where we could improve our advertising. It was all... riveting. When I first got into the business over forty years ago, I never imagined I'd be in this position. Promoting is tedious. Incredibly tedious. It could be very rewarding. It was a way to raise your profile in the wrestling business. People remembered promotes -- far more than they remembered midcard talent. I had been a good talent, but I would be remembered forever for this. For Continental Wrestling League. For what I was building based out of Denver. I looked up when there was a powerful knock on the door.

On the other side of the door was Ox Mastadon -- not his real last name, but I always had difficulty with Polish names. The big man had been one of my most loyal employees. I had first brought him in for an Invitational years ago. 2019 to be exact. He had a near year long reign as the North American champion -- but then lost a year of his career to a concussion.

"What's up big fella?" I asked the near five hundred pound man.

"I need to talk to you." He said in a slightly titled accent. Despite being born in America, his parents were Polish immigrants and he had acquired just a twinge of their Polish accent. "I'm stinking the joint up."

"That's not true --" I started, but he held up a meaty hand to cut me off.

"Yes it is." He said. "I'm still serviceable, but I'm not anywhere near the quality of talent you have here. Spencer. Casey. Cameron. Ross. KC. Riley. Greg. Matthew and Matty. You have guys who are really going out every night and tearing the house down. I can't do that anymore. That's clear."

"You're still doing good. Look at you and Franklin in the Invitational."

"Tag match." He said. "I could hide in a team, that's true. Or, you could send me to Texas. Let me go down there where I can be of some use. A lot of young guys to work with. I could be good stuff down there. The expectations aren't as high. Let me go down there."

I looked at the big man. He was deadly serious. He was forty now -- with fifteen years in the business on a frame that was that big. It couldn't be easy. I remember how bad Sam's knees hurt -- and he never was close to five hundred pounds. Same with every guy I'd worked with that was over three hundred pounds. Once they closed in on forty, the body started to ache. I could only imagine how difficult it was getting for Ox. If he went back down to a regional promotion, it could be easier on him. He wouldn't be expected to keep up with our top talent. He could be a top guy and not have to lay down. He could teach young big men how to work like a big man -- to many wanted to work like cruiserweights.

"If you want to go to Texas, I'll send you." I told him. He deserved that. He'd been a great soldier in our battle. He'd helped us climbed. He'd given his body for us. Been a locker room leader. This was the least I could do. "I appreciate everything you've done for us, big man." I stood up and shook his hand. "I'll call Joel and let him know you're coming."

"Thank you, boss." He said as he shook my hand. His hand swallowed mine. "I appreciate it."

That was all we needed to say. We shook hands, released and he left and I sat down to call Joel. I also needed to tell him I was calling up Laura Flame and Pearl Flanders from him to work full time on the main roster.

New Champions Crowned

Two titles recently changed hands in the Texas Grappling League. First, Taylor Holemore won the Brass Knuckles Championship from Jared Montoya. Montoya had defended the championship fifteen times prior to losing to Holemore. This is Holemore's first professional championship.

The Texas Tag Team Championship also changed hands when the team of Dave Derringer and Johnny Rain defeated the Precious Metals to win them. The Metals were in their second reign as champions and had managed six successful defenses. This is the first professional championship for both Derringer and Rain.

When I saw I had the first two matches wrong, and three out of the first four, I thought my predictions were terrible. LB: Hello and welcome to another exciting and thrill packed episode of Saturday Night Slammasters. We are coming to you right on the heels of the Summer Spectacular -- which was available on Pay Per View. Those of you that purchased it, we want to thank you. Next week will bring you all the fall out, but tonight, Alexander Vasquez attempts to make his sixth defense of the Television Championship. The Mission are in action, so is Alicia Strong, and in our main event, “The Dragon” Mikey James has perhaps his toughest challenge ever in his career when he faces the monster known as Torment.

RDJ: I would not want to be Mikey James, that’s for sure. Torment is over four hundred pounds. He’s six feet nine or so. He’s a monster. A true monster in the world of professional wrestling and as good as Mikey James is -- how do you stop a monster?

LB: Maybe we will find out tonight.

Ranger has already left the ringside area and is headed up the ramp while Matty Faith is still in the ring. From the crowd, “American Hellspawn” Hellion hits the ring and clotheslines Matty Faith from behind. He hits him with a Devolution Bomb before Ranger can get to the ring -- leaving Faith down and out.

Amber Allen versus Hellcat Hernandez versus Harriet Blais

In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, Harriet Blais defeated Amber Allen and Hellcat Hernandez in 10:59 when Harriet Blais defeated Hellcat Hernandez by pinfall.

Hellcat Hernandez was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance.
