UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 6 IN THE WORKS

Elijah Barnett has today confirmed his plans for "The Ultimate Ultimate". The tournament will now be delayed until a fifth "Ultimate Fighter" has been crowned, leaving the three previous winners on the bench for the coming months. Barnett has said that he will not risk the other three winners being able to compete in what he is calling a super event. TUF6 will take place in less than two months time and officials confirm that a card will soon be released.

February Week 2 1990

Ultimate Fighting Association

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 6 CARD

First Round Bout

Harry Milne 236lbs [3-1] vs Ricardo Fernandes 170lbs [1-1]

With a win over both Carlton and tonights favourite Zaco, Milne looks like the perfect horse to back to reach the finals. The Brit will have to overcome Fernandes, who has said that he will walk away the victor, not only against Milne, but the whole tournament. Wether he is able to do so remains to be seen.

First Round Bout

Baylen Delvaux 203lbs [0-0]vs Kurt Stonge 243lbs [0-0]

Delvaux and Stonge both debut but the former is a heavy favourite with fans and the bookies. Judo versus Jiu Jitsu. Could Stonge come away with an upset?

First Round Bout

Troyes Bache 338lbs [0-0] vs Frank Analysis 233lbs [1-1]

Bache is the heaviest fighter to take part in the tournament and will be a huge test for Analysis who comes with mixed results.

First Round Bout

Zaco 185lbs [3-2] vs Bogdan Chuchnova 185lbs [0-0]

Zaco will return as the favourite due to experience, but Chuchnova is not one to be scoffed at. The Russian has a high level arsenal of Kick Boxing Strikes which should keep Zaco at bay.

Alternate Bout

Dan Halvorsen 170lbs [0-1] vs Veeti Kuqi 272lbs [0-1]

Two fighters returning to the tournament and both looking to change their fortunes.

Alternate Bout

Mantas Andreyev 205lbs [0-2] vs Adriano Occhino 274lbs [0-0]

Andreyev came to TUF back at TUF2 in a special bout against Mac Fuller. The results did not match the hype that came with, and a victory here could turn his decline around. Occhino is alot heavier and poses a huge risk if Andreyev decides to take him down.

February Week 3 1990

Ultimate Fighting Association

UFA ALTERNATIVE OPENS

Its been just over a year since UFA opened its doors and formed what is known as the sport of MMA. UFA has continued to grow along with MMA itself, with fighters travelling all over the world to train and take part in these famous events. Today an alternative has opened its doors, operating out of France Signature Martial Arts (Known as SIGMA) has opened up a lot of opportunities for fighters, especially those fighting out of Europe.

SIGMA has already confirmed it has over 50 fighters on its books with plans for their first event in the works. Unlike UFA where there are little rules, SIGMA will be operating a strict rule on weight divisions. UFA infamously pits any man against any man, regardless of size or weight. SIGMA will use these strict divisions going forward.

When asked about the news Elijah Barnett owner of UFA said he was pleased that the sport now has another platform to help grow, but would not be looking to change the landscape of UFA to compete against SIGMA. UFA has no competition and will not be shaken by further companies opening.

March Week 4 1990

Ultimate Fighting Association

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 6 RESULTS

First Round Bout

Harry Milne 236lbs [3-1] vs Ricardo Fernandes 170lbs [1-1]

Not the opening that the crowd were expecting. Fernandes threw a variation of nice low kicks, but most of the time the two spent against the cage. They both looked absolutely dead at the end of the fight.

Harry Milne defeats Ricardo Fernandes Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

First Round Bout

Baylen Delvaux 203lbs [0-0]vs Kurt Stonge 243lbs [0-0]

Stonge showed great potential against a highly favoured opponent by taking him down and submitting him in just over 3 minutes. Delvaux had no answer for Stonge once a single leg took him to the mat.

Kurt Stonge defeats Baylen Delvaux Submission Rear Naked Choke in 3:07 of round 1

First Round Bout

Troyes Bache 338lbs [0-0] vs Frank Analysis 233lbs [1-1]

The results started to pick up and this bout looked as though it was going to slow the night down. Analysis and Bache barely engaged until Bache used his 105lb aweight advantage and closed down Analysis exit route before taking him to the ground. It was all over from there as Analysis struggled with the extra weight, eventually giving up his back.

Troyes Bache defeats Frank Analysis Submission Rear Naked Choke in 10:49 of round 1

First Round Bout

Zaco 185lbs [3-2] vs Bogdan Chuchnova 185lbs [0-0]

A pattern sees to be emerging in the sport, when standing does not seem to work take your man down. Zaco used this plan effectively, taking Chuchnova down with a huge double leg, then locking him in with an initial arm bar that failed, only to get a better position and apply it again. Chuchnova had no option but to tap.

Zaco defeats Bogdan Chuchnova Submission Armbar in 4:39 of round 1

Alternate Bout

Dan Halvorsen 170lbs [0-1] vs Veeti Kuqi 272lbs [0-1]

Veeti Kuqi spent the best part of 5 minutes on the back foot as Halvorsen aggresively advanced with quick combos and jabs. Kuqi did the most to try and clinch, but even that became too much for the tired big man. Eventually trying two successive take downs and landing neither. As Halvorsen backed off Kuqi threw a hit and hope right hook which rocked his opponent. Kuqi could not finish and attempted another clinch but soon found himself on the floor with Halvorsen in a dominant position. Halvorsen locks an aggressive armbar and gives Kuqi no choice but to submit.

Dan Halvorsen defeats Veeti Kuqi Submission Armbar in 8:38 of round 1

Semi Final Bout

Kurt Stonge 243lbs [1-0] vs Harry Milne 236lbs [4-1]

A much more experienced fighter awaited Stonge who put up a great performance in the first round. Milne had gone 15 minutes and looked tired within the first minute of this fight. Milne kept Stonge under control for a while against the cage, happy to grind out then the same with a clinch. Stonge had no answer and soon found himself victim to a tripe, with Milne in side control. Milne remained in control and Stonge only managed to return to his feet after an inaccurate knee aimed at his head. Milne looked poised and ready, closing down the gap between them. Shots landed, but nothing of note. Stonge advanced towards Milne and managed to trip him. He tried to get mount but failed, Milne rolled and gave up his neck. Milne controlled the whole bout but Stonge only needed one opportunity to finish, and that came with 45 seconds left on the clock.

Kurt Stonge defeats Harry Milne Submission Rear Naked Choke in 14:15 of round 1

Semi Final Bout

Zaco 185lbs [4-2] vs Troyes Bache 338lbs [1-0]

Bache had over 130lbs on Zaco, almost twice his weight. Quite a dull affair as the two held each other up for most of it. Zaco attempting four takedowns and completing none against his larger opponent. Zaco was given the decision and will head to the final against a much more lively opponent.

Zaco defeats Troyes Bache Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Alternate Bout

Mantas Andreyev 205lbs [0-2] vs Adriano Occhino 274lbs [0-0]

Having lost two in a row, Andreyev clearly wasnt the fighter we were led to believe, and a tough opponent awaited him in Occhino. Another dull affair unfortunately with very little happening throughout. Andreyev took the decision after controlling on the feet, Occhino may feel hard done by as he did about the same as Andreyev, only on the mat. Both men will need to improve on their next showing.

Mantas Andreyev defeats Adriano Occhino Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Final Bout

Zaco 185lbs [5-2] vs Kurt Stonge 243lbs [2-0]

Zaco was the favoured fighter before the tournament began and Stonge's lack of experience began to show. He may have had two impressive victories but he did not know how to handle Zaco. The fight went to a decision which all three judges gave to Zaco. Having controlled the pace for the whole 15 minutes he certainly deserved the victory, albeit it a slow finale.

Zaco defeats Kurt Stonge Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 6 PRESS CONFERENCE

Barnett congratulates Zaco on joining the illustrious group of "Ultimate Fighters". He confirms that plans will now go ahead with the four remaining fighters to head up an "Ultimate Ultimate" tournament. The tournament will be spread over two events with Matthew Dean and Jeff Carlton headlining TUF7 in May, followed by Tonights winner Zaco against two time TUF winner Sean Morrison in June. TUF7 will be the first event not to hold a one night tournament as Barnett feels confident enough in the four chosen ones to lead the company forwards.

In other news James Foster feels he made the right decision by choosing to train for the Olympics but did say that he would like to return to MMA once finished.

UFA: Ultimate Fighting Association

April Week 2 1990

Ultimate Fighting Association

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 7 - CARLTON VS DEAN CARD

Main Event

Jeff Carlton 256lbs [6-2] vs Matthew Dean 185lbs [3-0]

Winner advances to "The Ultimate Ultimate" Finale

Jeff Carlton vs Matthew Dean kicks off the "Ultimate Ultimate" Tournament with the winner heading to the finale which is planned for later in the year. Carlton enters with an impressive record with wins over the likes of Zaco and Rick Stanley, his two losses come from Sean Morrison and Harry Milne. Dean however has not suffered a loss and has beat Milne along with Mac Fuller and Ricardo Fernandes, finishing all.

Stafford Alois 260lbs [3-1] vs Ernest Hord 201lbs [1-1]

Alois comes in as the favoured fighter with his only loss against Foster in the TUF4 final. Hord will need to improve on his record if he is to progress past Alois.

Rob Baines 185lbs [0-1] vs Knox Hird 202lbs [0-0]

Debuting Hird will look to overwhelm Baines who has one loss coming against Jeff Carlton by way of decision.

Geoff Cahill 170lbs [1-1] vs Mac Fuller 185lbs [2-3]

Cahill has a loss against Morrison and a win against Cohen, as does Fuller. Fuller also has a loss to Dean and most recently McCall. A Win here could push the fan favorite back in the right direction.

Gunnar Nilsson 265lbs [1-1] vs Jack Cobblepot 265lbs [0-1]

With 3 decision results between them Nilsson and Cobblepot will need to really step it up.

Perren Ventre 241lbs [1-3] vs Tony McCall 232lbs [1-0]

Ventre has 4 impressive fights under his belt but three of them being losses does not look well for the formerly well thought of youngster. McCall will be a tough opponent for Ventre after an impressive win over Fuller on his last showing.

Elgar 199lbs [0-1] vs Francesco Marazzina 145lbs [1-0]

Elgar did not live up to his hype with a quick loss to James Foster at TUF4. Marazzina beat fellow Italian Cascone and will look to add another victory over Elgar.

Yevgeni Sipatov 170lbs [1-1] vs Angelino Cascone 184lbs [0-1]

Sipatov and Cascone have both fought boits that only ended in Decisions, fortunately that is Sipatovs plan as he will look to utilise his lay and pray tactics again.

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 8 - ZACO VS MORRISON CARD

Main Event

Zaco 185lbs [6-2] vs Sean Morrison 155lbs [6-0]

Winner advances to "The Ultimate Ultimate" Finale

Zaco has impressed since joining UFA back at TUF3. His two losses come by way of Carlton and Milne, both via decision. His wins have all been over opponents that were not considered experienced but has spent alot of time inside the cage himself. Morrison however is undefeated in 6. Things may have been different if James Foster had not forfeited back at TUF1 but Morrison has won two tournaments in a row, the only man to do so. He has beaten big names such as Mac Fuller and has a win over Carlton. Morrison has not fought since TUF2 but has not stopped training so expect to see a Sprite showing.

Mantas Andreyev 205lbs [1-2] vs Rick Stanley 242lbs [2-1]

Stanleys only loss comes via Jeff Carlton and has one victory by knockout. Andreyev arrived as a special with a big hype train to follow but after Fuller exposed him another loss followed. Back on winning ways he will aim to remain that way.

Adriano Occhino 274lbs [0-1] vs Baylen Delvaux 203lbs [0-1]

Both coming off a defeat and looking for a way into the winning column.

Mario de Souza 185lbs [1-1] vs Ricardo Fernandes 170lbs [1-2]

Fernandes has lost to both Dean and Milne and will face his fellow Brazilian who is coming off a tough loss to Sipatov.

Lars Bohlin 145lbs [0-1] vs Mark Cohen 205lbs [0-2]

Both will aim to better their fairly unimpressive starts to MMA.

Monty Olivier 219lbs [0-0] vs Jim Carpenter 170lbs [1-2]

Carpenter has lost to both Morrison and Foster bit managed to hold both to decisions. Olivier debuts and the Frenchman will look to utilise his street brawling style to land a knock out blow to Carpenter.

Troyes Bache 338lbs [1-1] vs Nigel Malley 185lbs [0-0]

Malley debuts against the behemoth that is Bache. Bache has done ok so far with his only loss coming to Zaco, although his victory was not against a big name.

Barney Albritton 123lbs [0-0] vs Bogdan Chuchnova 185lbs [0-1]

Albritton is very popular amongst fans and will attempt to add another loss to Chuchnovas column, his last bout coming against Zaco also.

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 7 - CARLTON VS DEAN RESULTS

Yevgeni Sipatov 170lbs [1-1] vs Angelino Cascone 184lbs [0-1]

As suspected Sipatov managed to ride out another long victory. Cascone was unable to prevent Sipatovs game plan.

Yevgeni Sipatov defeats Angelino Cascone Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Elgar 199lbs [0-1] vs Francesco Marazzina 145lbs [1-0]

Marazzina and Elgar kept this one close to begin but Elgars brutal leg kicks became the difference. Marazzina began to look hurt which allowed Elgar to push his back against the cage. Now in full control Elgar looked to work from the clinch, landing knees to the body. The final blow came from a vicious knee to the face resulting in Marazzina being knocked out.

Perren Ventre 241lbs [1-3] vs Tony McCall 232lbs [1-0]

An amazing fight for McCall who lands a left, followed by a right hook. Ventre was rocked and backing up, McCall chased with a second right hook and Ventre was out. Before he had even hit the ground.

Tony McCall defeats Perren Ventre Knock Out Punch in 0:28 of round 1

Gunnar Nilsson 265lbs [1-1] vs Jack Cobblepot 265lbs [0-1]

There was only one word to describe this fight and that word is "Awful".

Gunnar Nilsson defeats Jack Cobblepot Split Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Geoff Cahill 170lbs [1-1] vs Mac Fuller 185lbs [2-3]

A great exchange between the two throughout the fight. Fuller managed to cut Cahill late in the last third of the fight which after another two minutes of fighting the referee decided was enough. Cahill could still have picked up a result here and will be upset by the manner of his loss.

Mac Fuller defeats Geoff Cahill TKO Cut in 12:12 of round 1

Rob Baines 185lbs [0-1] vs Knox Hird 202lbs [0-0]

With very little happening throughout, Baines picked up the victory by decision. Hird attempted four takedowns, zero were successful and worse for the debutante, he threw zero strikes. Baines controlled the fifteen minutes.

Rob Baines defeats Knox Hird Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Stafford Alois 260lbs [3-1] vs Ernest Hord 201lbs [1-1]

A dominant victory for Alois. Hords cut causing the referee to stop the bout for the second time tonight, although Hord could not complain as Alois controlled from the get go. Alois did look to tire and may have known this so began to work the cut in hope of a stoppage.

Stafford Alois defeats Ernest Hord TKO Cut in 6:31 of round 1

Main Event

Jeff Carlton 256lbs [6-2] vs Matthew Dean 185lbs [3-0]

Carlton used his weight to takedown Dean, immediately laying on him. Smothering and taking away his energy. Carlton remained on top keeping tight and raining short strikes. Unable to lift Carlton, Dean went for the arm. From bottom of the guard Dean forced Carlton to tap out in a fight that he was in full control of.

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 8 - ZACO VS MORRISON RESULTS

Barney Albritton 123lbs [0-0] vs Bogdan Chuchnova 185lbs [0-1]

Albritton was the lighter opponent but this did not stop him taking Bogdan down. Once down, Albritton controlled for the next five or six minutes. An attempt at a kimura was blocked and Chuchnova tried to pass to a better position but in doing so only managed to give his back up. Albritton locked in both hooks and applied the rear naked.

Barney Albritton defeats Bogdan Chuchnova Submission Rear Naked Choke in 8:20 of round 1

Troyes Bache 338lbs [1-1] vs Nigel Malley 185lbs [0-0]

Bache spent the bout at distance, teasing Malley in hope he would shoot. As Malley began to tire from attempting to take down the much much heavier fighter, Bache grabbed his opponent and slammed him to the mat and slipped into side control. Malley tried to sweep out but like Chuchnova he gave his back up and Bache used his weight to flatten him before locking in the rear naked choke.

Troyes Bache defeats Nigel Malley Submission Rear Naked Choke in 7:59 of round 1

Monty Olivier 219lbs [0-0] vs Jim Carpenter 170lbs [1-2]

The third debut of the night saw the third finish and third submission of the night. Carpenter took Olivier straight to the ground and initialized an arm bar from side control. Olivier tapped out in a very poor debut.

Jim Carpenter defeats Monty Olivier Submission Armbar in 1:55 of round 1

Lars Bohlin 145lbs [0-1] vs Mark Cohen 205lbs [0-2]

In a bout that can only contend with UFA 7's Nilsson vs Cobblepot as the worst in the companys history, Cohen picked up his first victory.

Mark Cohen defeats Lars Bohlin Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Mario de Souza 185lbs [1-1] vs Ricardo Fernandes 170lbs [1-2]

This bout went the distance as these two Brazilian warriors gave everything they had. Fernandes may be disheartened by the result and a second bout would be interesting.

Mario de Souza defeats Ricardo Fernandes Split Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Adriano Occhino 274lbs [0-1] vs Baylen Delvaux 203lbs [0-1]

Another poor bout for this event, Delvaux spending the whole round defending himself whilst Occhino was unable to finish despite landing 100 punches whilst they fought on the mat.

Adriano Occhino defeats Baylen Delvaux Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Mantas Andreyev 205lbs [1-2] vs Rick Stanley 242lbs [2-1]

Andreyev had begun to show why he came to UFA with such hype following him. A huge suplex from Andreyev just before the ten minute mark allowed him to control Stanley on the ground and lock in an impressive submission and has now won two in a row.

Main Event

Zaco 185lbs [6-2] vs Sean Morrison 155lbs [6-0]

Unlike the first bout between Carlton and Dean, this went the distance. Both men seeming to have control for a good portion of the fight. Morrison looked a lot more technical than his Brazilian opponent and advanced by decision. He will need to improve if he is to defeat Dean, but can blame cage rust on the slow start.

UFA have today confirmed that Matthew Dean has been injured, severely. True to Sean Morrison fashion an opponent has been injured before their fight. Morrison was due to face Dean at The Ultimate Fighter 9 in less than 4 weeks time. Barnett has confirmed that Dean has seen professionals and will most likely be out for atleast a year. Not wanting to delay The Ultimate Ultimate until then, Barnett has said that he will look at changing UFA9 back to a Tournament format with the winner facing Morrison as soon as possible to determine an "Ultimate Ultimate". There will be a brand new winner as none of the previous winners will enter, and to give the winner a little time to recover Zaco and Carlton will now headline UFA10 later in the year. Barnett stated that he does not want the company to lose any momentum after this huge loss so will do everything he can to thank the fans for the continued support. Expect a full card for The Ultimate Fighter 9 in the coming days.

August Week 4 1990

Ultimate Fighting Association

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 9 CARD

First Round Bout

Harry Milne 236lbs [3-2] vs Stafford Alois 260lbs [4-1]

Milne's two losses come via submission, a result unlikely to occur against kick boxer Alois who has finished three of his four wins via TKO. His only loss coming from Foster.

First Round Bout

Gunnar Nilsson 265lbs [2-1] vs Mario de Souza 185lbs [2-1]

Nilsson will need to improve, despite having two wins as all three of his fights have been less than impressive. de Souza has performed well although all three of his fights have gone on longer than ten minutes, two of which ended in decision.

First Round Bout

Barney Albritton 123lbs [1-0] vs Mac Fuller 185lbs [3-3]

Albritton impressed but will face a great opponent in Fuller. Fuller has been involved with five of the previous eight events with all six fights ending in a decison bar one.

First Round Bout

Tony McCall 232lbs [2-0] vs Kurt Stonge 243lbs [2-1]

Stonge has an impressive record of two submissions in two, both coming from a rear naked choke hold. McCall however has knocked out both of his opponents in a combined time of less than eight minutes. The quickest lasting a mere twenty eight seconds.

Alternate Bout

Bingwen Park 179lbs [0-1] vs Nigel Malley 185lbs [0-1]

Park was knocked out by Zaco on his debut which resulted in a broken jaw. Back to fighting fitness he will look to add a first win to his record when he takes on Malley who was heavily outweighed against Troyes Bache in his debut.

Alternate Bout

Dan Halvorsen 170lbs [1-1] vs Ernie Bruns 192lbs [0-0]

SIGMA CROWNS CHAMPIONS

SIGMA opened its doors mid April and have held three shows up to now. All shows were held in France and have produced some amazing fighters and performances. SIGMA 3 took place early last month and today we will look back at the night.

The event held five bouts across four weight classes and two champions were crowned. Unlike UFA, SIGMA operate very strict weight divisions and have such rewarded their best fighters with Championship Belts as a posed to UFA's approach of pitting all different sized men against each other to determine the greatest fighter and discipline in the sport.

Faas Smit defeated Edgardo Gil within sixteen seconds via knock out to take home the SIGMA Light heavyweight Championship whilst Martyn Staskauskas defeated Camden Vessey via Guillotine in less than three minutes in the Main Event of the night to walk away with the SIGMA Middleweight Championship.

SIGMA have a fourth installment scheduled for mid October where there will be two more Champions crowned in The Welter and Heavyweight division.

September Week 2 1990

Ultimate Fighting Association

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 9 RESULTS

First Round Bout

Harry Milne 236lbs [3-2] vs Stafford Alois 260lbs [4-1]

Alois did well to defend Milne pushing him against the cage, but a failed take down gave Milne the advantage as he controlled Alois before successfully taking him down instead. Alois did well to defend Milne on his back, not allowing any transition to mount. In side control Milne peppered Alois with short body shots which saw him give up his back rather than being mounted. Milne landed right punch after right and the referee called for the end after Alois was unable to defend himself.

Harry Milne defeats Stafford Alois TKO Strikes in 6:49 of round 1

First Round Bout

Gunnar Nilsson 265lbs [2-1] vs Mario de Souza 185lbs [2-1]

In another poor showing by Nilsson, de Souza took the win. The first few minutes Nilsson controlled de Souza with the extra weight but once he found his form de Souza kept a nice distance and landed some quick strikes.

Mario de Souza defeats Gunnar Nilsson Split Decision in 15:00 of round 1

First Round Bout

Barney Albritton 123lbs [1-0] vs Mac Fuller 185lbs [3-3]

Another decision followed as Fuller's decision victory came after he produced the more aggressive fight.

Mac Fuller defeats Barney Albritton Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

First Round Bout

Tony McCall 232lbs [2-0] vs Kurt Stonge 243lbs [2-1]

McCall was the dominant aggressor here as he controlled Stonge at a nice distance. Stonge eventually looked to come in close but McCall knocked him down with a right hook followed by a vicious beat down once he had climbed on top.

Tony McCall defeats Kurt Stonge TKO Strikes in 4:00 of round 1

Alternate Bout

Bingwen Park 179lbs [0-1] vs Nigel Malley 185lbs [0-1]

It didnt take too long for Park to show how well he had recovered after his broken jaw. A huge suplex from against the cage allowed him to jump on Malley and lock in an impressive Kimura for the victory.

Bingwen Park defeats Nigel Malley Submission Kimura in 3:04 of round 1

Semi Final Bout

Harry Milne 236lbs [4-2] vs Mario de Souza 185lbs [3-1]

de Souza opens a cut above Milnes eye after just one minute but began to tire easy after that exchange. Milne, covered in blood caused the referee to check on the cut, but allowed play to continue. de Souza clearly tired didnt expect Milne to slow things down. The bout went on as Milne was in full control of the pace, using his extra weight to maintain de Souza and tire him out whilst peppering little blows where gaps opened up.

Harry Milne defeats Mario de Souza Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Semi Final Bout

Mac Fuller 185lbs [4-3] vs Tony McCall 232lbs [3-0]

An absolute barn stormer in this fight. Fuller tired after just a couple of minutes and McCall following suit after around five. Both man equal to the next. McCall passed a quick medical check when his eye opened up after six minutes and the fight continued. Blow after blow, clinch after clinch. The eye was checked again with only five left on the clock. Both fighters emptied their tanks and spent the last four minutes in a ragged clinch, exchanging strikes.

Tony McCall defeats Mac Fuller Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Alternate Bout

Dan Halvorsen 170lbs [1-1] vs Ernie Bruns 192lbs [0-0]

Halvorsen being the smaller fighter didn't cause too much of an issue. Once he had immediately took Bruns to the mat he tried to add a few punches, but Bruns didnt flinch. A quick transition allowed for him to land a couple of rights that hurt Bruns enough for Halvorsen to apply an armbar submisison.

Dan Halvorsen defeats Ernie Bruns Submission Arm Triangle in 4:26 of round 1

Final Bout

Tony McCall 232lbs [4-0] vs Harry Milne 236lbs [5-2]

Unbeaten McCall looked the favorite, but both had suffered cuts in their semi finals. McCall had Milne wobbled after less than a minute. As Milne fell, McCall kneels by his side and began to connect with strikes to the head. Milne remained calm and swept McCall out of position who ends up on his back. After a failed submission attempt Milne just began to pound away at McCall who had no answer. Experience had paid off as Milne dealt McCall his first loss.

Harry Milne defeats McCall TKO Strikes in 4:44 of round 1

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 9 PRESS CONFERENCE

Elijah Barnett congratulated Milne on becoming the final Ultimate Fighter. He confirmed that he will now take on Morrison at "The Ultimate Ultimate" in place of injured Matthew Dean. He believes that Milne deserves the opportunity after already beating Zaco, Carlton and other highly skilled fighters.

Milne vs Morrison does not have a date set yet as Milne will need to see the medics post TUF9 and also attend a camp, so Barnett announced that Zaco vs Carlton will now headline TUF10 which will be held in December. He also said that this will be UFA's biggest card to date.

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 10 AND MORE

Elijah Barnett has today confirmed that TUF10- Zaco vs Carlton will take place late December. The night will be host to 10 bouts, which is the most held on one card for UFA. TUF10 will also offer a couple of debuts to new fighters whilst some greats will return.

Barnett also spoke of a special event series that is in the works. A series of events that will be held outside of America, obviously looking to capitalize on empty markets in foreign countries. Were unsure if this is too big of a risk to take but Barnett is convinced it will help the sport, and no doubt his finances.

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 10 CARD

Main Event

Zaco 185lbs [6-3] Vs Jeff Carlton 256lbs [6-3]

Both have equal records, both have won The Ultimate Fighter and both lost their opportunities to become "The Ultimate Ultimate". Who will reign supreme in this match of the runner ups?

Adriano Occhino 274lbs [1-1] vs Elgar 199lbs [1-1]

Occhino's both fights have ended in decision, Elgar however has lost via TKO to Foster whilst his only win comes via way of knock out.

Rob Baines 185lbs [1-1] vs Troyes Bache 338lbs [2-1]

The much bigger Bache has a loss by way of Zaco and Baines via Carlton. These two have nothing to be ashamed of for those losses and will look to rebuild their win columns.

Porter Spradley 202lbs [0-0] vs Robert Adelman 235lbs [0-0]

Pancration against Submission wrestling as both men debut on tonights huge card.

Knox Hird 202lbs [0-1] vs Yevgeni Sipatov 170lbs [2-1]

Sipatov's three fights have all ended in decision so expect another grind out as he takes on Scotlands Hird who comes off a loss from Baines.

Jonah Funk 283lbs [0-0] vs Taras Levitsky 143lbs [0-0]

Another match of debuts as Levitsky has double his weight to contend against. His Karate should be able to keep him at distance but he will not want to let Funk take him down.

Weimin Tso 153lbs [0-0] vs Warren Seger 132lbs [0-0]

More debuts as Chinese Tso battles Seger. Boxing vs Kick boxing means we may see a big finish.

Jack Humphreys 168lbs [0-0] vs Mbwana De Sousa 155lbs [0-0]

This card is packed with debut fights as Humprheys will look to use his wrestling against accomplished kick boxer De Souza.

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER INTERNATIONAL SERIES

Elijah Barnett has today announced that UFA will be going International as it heads into Japan mid January. The card will not be a huge one and will host a lot of Japanese fighters looking to make a name for their selves. Currently there are no professional outfits within Japan so this could be a huge beginning for the sport.

UFA: INTERNATIONAL SERIES JAPAN CARD

Main Event

Martyn Staskauskas 180lbs [2-0/0-0] vs Aki Hida 243lbs [0-0]

Staskauskas became SIGMA Middlweight Champion back in August and has since expressed his desire to compete Internationally. SIGMA agreed for him to compete on this card as a way of pushing their own brand. Hida is a Heavyweight wrestler and this is set to be a blockbuster match up with Staskauskas favouring Grappling.

Co-Main Event

Rick Stanley 242Lbs [2-2] vs Tadamasa Yamada 205lbs [0-0]

Stanley winning here could turn his fortunes around whilst Yamada could catapult himself into a career with UFA.

Mantas Andreyev 205lbs [2-2] vs Daisetsu Sekozawa 185lbs [0-0]

Andreyev actually beat Stanley in his last bout but was not favoured to fight Yamada and will instead take on Sekozawa who favours a Karate style.

Jim Carpenter 170lbs [2-2] vs Nasih Soltani 135lbs [0-0]

After three long decision results Carpenter finally stepped up and finished Olivier with an armbar. The Lighter Soltani will have a lot on his plate but his unknown abilities could surprise.

Mark Cohen 205lbs [1-2] vs Monty Olivier 219lbs [0-1]

The only bout that does not sees two fighters that have previous fought within UFA. Both looking to get on winning ways.

Barney Albritton 123lbs [1-1] vs Kalyan Walia 185lbs [0-0]

After an impressive debut Albritton went on to lose to Mac Fuller via decision. A win here could boost his opportunities in the future. Walia is actually from India and will open the show in his debut.

DECEMBER WEEK 4 1990

Ultimate Fighting Association

UFA: THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER 10 RESULTS

Main Event

Zaco 185lbs [6-3] Vs Jeff Carlton 256lbs [6-3]

In what was surprisingly a very bad fight, especially considering the two men competing, The judges were again called upon to make a decision. Zaco had taken his revenge. Honestly, nothing else of note about this drab bout.

Zaco defeats Jeff Carlton Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Adriano Occhino 274lbs [1-1] vs Elgar 199lbs [1-1]

The second decision of the night. Occhino worked Elgar nicely against the cage. Elgar prevented being taken down but had no other options himself. After the fourth sweep attempt he managed to wrestle himself free and step back not wanting to engage against the cage again. Occhino was tiring. After exchanging strikes the referee had to step in to check a cut on Occhino but later ushered them to continue. A few more blocked takedown attempts began to tire Elgar and the two were playing a game of chess. One making a move, the other blocking. This continued even when they found their way to the mat for the remaining five minutes.

Elgar defeats Adriano Occhino Split Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Rob Baines 185lbs [1-1] vs Troyes Bache 338lbs [2-1]

Bache did well to prevent Baines' first takedown attempt but fell to the second after being pushed against the cage then tripped. Baines was clearly the better fighter on the ground as he transitioned easily into mount before taking Bache's arm.

Rob Baines defeats Troyes Bache Submission Armbar in 3:24 of round 1

Porter Spradley 202lbs [0-0] vs Robert Adelman 235lbs [0-0]

Adelman rocked Spradley within thirty seconds and then pounced as he began to reign punches down. It could have all been over but Adelman went for an armbar which allowed Spradley to defend and more importantly regain himself. A few minutes passed and the referee brought them back to their feet as Adelman was unsuccessfully attempting various submissions as Spradley blocked each one and held Adelman into a stalemate. Another huge right sent Spradley down again, this time Adelman made sure to continue the beat down before the referee stepped in. A dominant stand game but a less than impressive ground performance by Adelman.

Robert Adelman defeats Porter Spradley TKO Strikes in 5:25 of round 1

Knox Hird 202lbs [0-1] vs Yevgeni Sipatov 170lbs [2-1]

After a long five minutes of being ground down by Sipatov, Hird attempted to take him down which was his mistake. Sipatov slammed Hird into the mat and as planned spent the next eight minutes tiring Hird out. Giving him no avenues to strike or defend himself. A poor match for the crowd but a great showing for Sipatov.

Yevgeni Sipatov defeats Knox Hird Unanimous Decision in 15:00 of round 1

Jonah Funk 283lbs [0-0] vs Taras Levitsky 143lbs [0-0]

Levitsky did well to dominate his much heavier opponent throughout the bout. It wasnt until the dying minutes that he began to tire from working Funk with combinations of body kicks and strikes. Funk was unsuccessful in taking him down until now. Tired, against the cage Levitsky had no where to go and Funk tripped him to the ground. In side control he used his weight to hold Levitsky down and apply an Armbar. With just two minutes left on the clock Levitsky would surely have taken this by decision.

Jonah Funk defeats Taras Levitsky Submission Armbar in 13:17 of round 1

Weimin Tso 153lbs [0-0] vs Warren Seger 132lbs [0-0]

The two exchanged blows for the first few minutes before Seger took his opponent down. Unable to get into side control he settled for half guard. Moving eventually into a more dominant position he peppered Tso with strikes to the head and body. Tso looked done for until he grabbed a wild arm and forced Seger to tap out from the bottom.

Weimin Tso defeats Warren Seger Submission Armbar in 6:47 of round 1

Jack Humphreys 168lbs [0-0] vs Mbwana De Sousa 155lbs [0-0]

De Souza clearly aimed to keep Humphreys at bay with a jab but missed with a wild right hand. Humphreys moved in, slammed De Souza to the ground and it was over. An Arm Triangle was applied.

Jack Humphreys defeats Mbwana De Sousa Submission Arm Triangle in 1:04 of round 1

Socorro Fragoso 153lbs [0-0] vs Jerezo 185lbs [0-0]

An immediate spell of dominance allowed Jerezo to successfully take his opponent down. Fragoso once down allowed little room for Jerezo to progress, defending shots and submission attempts. A moment of patience though allowed Jerezo to regain his breath and attempt a body triangle, Fragoso rolled and gave his neck.

Jerezo defeats Socorro Fragoso Submission Rear Naked Choke in 7:29 of round 1

Ezzatollah Karimi 134lbs [0-0] vs Gagan Borah 155lbs [0-0]

A quick exchange of jabs by both men left an opening for Karimi to advance harder with a left hook. Borah looked dazed and began to cover up. Karimi moved in for the kill and another left had Borah rocked. The referee jumped in to prevent any more damage. An impressive debut.
