I have always liked Scythe and him coming back he needs the win to look dominant again.</p><p> </p><p>

Co-Main Event</p><p>

Piledriver Championship title match</p><p>

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera © vs <strong>"Glorious" Logan Diaz</strong></p><p>

You have really made me like Xavi, but I think the rivalry is ready to end with Logan getting the clean win.</p><p> </p><p>

Piledriver Women's title match</p><p>

<strong>"American Woman" Lora Washington ©</strong> vs "Poison Ivy" Mariana Torres</p><p>

She just won it so I think she will keep it. I could see Sawyer getting involved to help Torres win.</p><p> </p><p>

I think the only way or Annihilus to lose is by manager interference or a "DQ win"</p><p> </p><p>

Main Event

COTT World Heavyweight title match

Masked Patriot © vs Scythe

This is a mismatch (since I don’t like Pariot) as Scythe is a monster. Hoping one of the big guys signs Patriot so he can go get lost in the midcard somewhere

Co-Main Event

Piledriver Championship title match

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera © vs "Glorious" Logan Diaz

Big Match Diaz has been chasing Xavi for quite awhile so he goes 2 up in title matches

Piledriver Women's title match

"American Woman" Lora Washington © vs "Poison Ivy" Mariana Torres

Torres was a good champion but I’ll side with the American Woman here to retain plus I picked changes in the top 2 matches

Piledriver United States title match

George Wolfe © vs Annihilus

Unfortunately George is a really vanilla wrestler personality wise in most ever universe. On the other hand while being huge Annihilus typically can’t work a singles match very well. Sheiky needs some gold so I hate to say it but I’m predicting another title change

Piledriver Tag Team titles Three Way Elimination match

The Heartbreak Express © vs The Good Ol' Boys vs The Boys from the Yukon

I still think we are in for a big feud between Cruz’s for stablemates and somehow that allows the Express to retain and they have Lisa (who can’t help George) in their corner

Six Woman Elimination match to determine the next Piledriver Women's title challenger

Claire Winters vs Emma Bitch vs Eri Sato vs Melanie Trigg vs Miss Atlantic Wrestling vs Nicole Pyle

With the face champion retaining I’ll take the Bitch Factor to step up as the next challenger. Although it would be interesting to see Miss Atlantic Wresting vs American Woman in a match

Opening 10 Man Royal Rumble

Winner will receive a shot at a title belt of their choice

Participants: Buck Winchester, Carl Bernard, El Hijo de Pilgrim, James Diaz, Nate DeMarcus, Quentrel Garner, Riley McManus, Syd Collier, The Architect

Logan needs a defense against someone so up steps The Killer

I haven’t seen anyone answer the HOF question and while I could easily see The Sheik elect to have himself in it.....Lee Wright is slowing down and train so many wrestlers so maybe him. I’d take Lee over Sheik. But I’m going to assume we are not putting over the owners here so...

I’m not really a fan of HOF selections that are still active so using that criteria and if it is for a wrestler who likely is retired, I’d choose Tamara Mcfly. She was a long running Piledriver a Ladies Champion so she gets my nod.

The Mid Atlantic Express both leave the ring but El Hijo de Pilgrim gives chase, leading to a 2 on 1 ringside brawl. Garner, who's also had his issues with the Express joins in to even the odds, creating some space in the ring for the remaining six competitors. All of them big hard hitters, they engage in an all out brawl and DeMarcus gets eliminated first when he tries to hop back off the ropes only to get pushed over them by Bernard. The big man roars in satisfaction but meanwhile, the Express have slid back into the ring and each man grabs a leg to lift him up from behind and toss him out too. McManus leaves the ring to check up on his protege and Hijo de Pilgrim ascends to the top turnbuckle, pointing a finger at the Express, who deny fans of the promised big spot when they low blow the man and shove him out for the elimination. On the oppposite corner, Jebediah has Winchester cornered but upon trying to hit his Sundown Splash finisher, Diaz catches him mid-air and with a minor assist from an adrenaline-fuelled Winchester, tosses him up and over before Winchester also clotheslines the exhausted Diaz out of the ring. McManus and Garner return to the ring and it's now down to them, the Express and Winchester. Heels have the numbers advantage and with Winchester adding his strikes to the teamwork and technical skills of the Express, rookie Quentrel Garner is quickly broken down and thrown outside. McManus is reeling and up against three villains, but the Express catch Winchester with his guard down and toss him to the outside. But it doesn't stop there, because the Architect pulls McManus up and Collier dropkicks them both out to win the match!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Class Act" Syd Collier</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="gDXGKOl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gDXGKOl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="R9KIBTS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/R9KIBTS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> With the Architect still in shock at ringside, Collier gets on the mic and tells his fellow MAW loyalist that it was bound to happen sooner or later, before he proceeds to cut a promo to announce he's now gunning for the top prize, the Piledriver Championship title!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Six Woman Elimination match to determine the next Piledriver Women's title challenger</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="n1i1cZU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/n1i1cZU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NuLYzbD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NuLYzbD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8sEkkAa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8sEkkAa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="uwfOQSm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uwfOQSm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2rzwtJa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2rzwtJa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="AdZKSls.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AdZKSls.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Claire Winters vs Emma Bitch vs Eri Sato vs Melanie Trigg vs Miss Atlantic Wrestling vs Nicole Pyle</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> After the men, it's time for the women's multi person match but instead of a Battle Royal, this is an elimination match. With "Playboy" Jake Sawyer directing traffic at ringside, Bitch and Trigg team up and take the fight to everyone else, eliminating Pyle with a big powerslam from Trigg. Sato and Winters however hit the remaining Bitch with stereo spinning kicks but the veteran rolls out of the ring to avoid the pin. Trigg gets back up and hits the Kick City Connection from behind with a double clothesline, before picking up Sato for a fallaway slam and another pin. Winters is a second too late to make the save, recovering from the hit herself but the frustration's there as she unloads on Trigg. Bitch slides back into the ring for the save and hits an unprepared Winters with the Payback, pinning her. It is now down to Sawyer's two ladies and a still dazed Miss Atlantic Wrestling, who gets a big cheer from the audience. Despite a valiant effort, her slow mat based style isn't doing her any favors and neither is the numbers game against her, leading to the inevitable pin that forcefully ends the alliance between Bitch and Trigg. The women look to Sawyer for guidance but whether because he never predicted it would come to this or because he's learned a lesson from Cruz about picking sides, he just shrugs. Bitch snaps into it faster, brawling Trigg to a corner and topping it off with another Payback for the pin to remain as the sole survivor.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Payback" Emma Bitch, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="tfOP87H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tfOP87H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="aJatmCo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aJatmCo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Lee Wright and Gorgon take center stage next for the first ever Piledriver Wrestling Hall of Fame ceremony. He then transitions to talking about Peter Michaels, the man who showed up with a life-saving investment after the merger that kept the company afloat, allowing it survive and fulfill his dream of being the best wrestling company in the East Coast, once again a subtle nod to RIPW and Michaels' grudge against the Eisens.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="Je0e6AN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Je0e6AN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Je0e6AN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Je0e6AN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Piledriver Tag Team titles match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="k2Enuj8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/k2Enuj8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PSW6j5L.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PSW6j5L.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="orMSYPb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/orMSYPb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> The Heartbreak Express © (with Lisa Bowen)</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="OMuDnHg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OMuDnHg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4LTspFc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4LTspFc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> The Good Ol' Boys</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="oiCenqK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oiCenqK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Idx6BNr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Idx6BNr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> The Boys from the Yukon</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Three teams who've been on each other's throats for several months now, there's no love lost between the two teams of challengers and they immediately jump each other as Bowen rallies the troops outside the ring to keep them safe while everyone else slugs it out. It's an intense start to the match but ultimately leads to a stalemate as neither team seems to be gaining any ground. Once the big men are beaten and tired, the champions get back in the match and deliver some straightforward grappling thanks to the odds being somewhat more even now. Both Canadian lumberjacks get hit with stereo Heartbreak Kicks but roll out of the ring, so the Express turn their attention to the Good Ol' Boys. Needham comes off the top turnbuckle for a frog splash but Fitzpaine catches him and rolls with the momentum for the powerslam while Langton hits a spear that knocks Liotta spine first to the corner as the pin is made and just like that, the Express are out of the match and we are guaranteed to see new champions!</p><p> </p><p> Crawling back to the ring, the Boys from the Yukon realize the situation and both surviving teams share a moment of staring daggers at each other as they try to catch their breath and recompose themselves. It's a slow, gruelling exchange of blows next that tests each man's willpower as they look like they're about to collapse onto each other. Whittaker is the first to take a few steps back looking groggy and Langton immediately hits him with a discus clothesline that sends him over the rope to land badly on the apron and fall to the floor. Fans boo at the slimy hypocrite and apparently his new "clients" seem to agree, because they respond by picking him up and shutting down his screams with their "Tiiiiiiiiiiimber!" double team finisher, to the roaring approval of the crowd in attendance. Whittaker shouts at the (probably unconscious) Cruz that they're "no second rate anything" and Mort adds in that they don't need him, before they make their way back to the locker room.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <img alt="3XM4dah.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3XM4dah.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="orMSYPb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/orMSYPb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="WuYw4C6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WuYw4C6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="lh2JDXB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lh2JDXB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> George Wolfe makes his entrance for the next match and from their body language, it's clear he and Lisa Bowen are somewhat suspicious of each other, especially given how Bowen's clients lost the Piledriver Tag Team titles earlier. Sheik Ali Al-Avatar leads Annihilus to the ring but before the match can start, he gets on the mic to make a proposal: it's obvious this next match could get a little out of hand, but it's a title match and this is the biggest show of the year, so it deserves a clean finish. How about making it a no DQ, no countout deal? Before the champion can answer, Bowen grabs the mic from the Sheik's hands to accept, only for Wolfe to grab it himself next and say so too himself.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="V6GDKvw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/V6GDKvw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="3XM4dah.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3XM4dah.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="orMSYPb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/orMSYPb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="WuYw4C6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WuYw4C6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="lh2JDXB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lh2JDXB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Piledriver United States title match (no countouts or disqualifications)</strong></p><p><strong> George Wolfe © (with Lisa Bowen) vs Annihilus (with Sheik Ali Al-Avatar)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Once the bell rings, Annihilus all-out assaults the champion and it's clear the Sheik had a plan because this has nothing to do with wrestling. It's pretty one-sided, as even when Wolfe manages to hit, it never amounts to anything. As if to drive the point home, Annihilus puts his huge palm around the Sheik's throat, lifts him up into the Choke Grip and chokeslams him to the ringside floor! Realizing the gravity of the situation, both competitors pace themselves instead of rushing head first into a lockup and anticipation builds. Well aqcuainted with each other, there is no reason for the wrestlers to feel each other out; instead, Xavi hits the ropes and slides low for the dropkick aimed at Logan's knee and the match is on for good. After hitting a few more moves, Xavi's opening salvo is met with an explosive spinebuster that turns things around for Diaz. Now in control of the match, Logan hits the champion with a series of rolling suplexes for a two count, then begins chaining moves together into a new sequence leading up to a powerbomb, but Ferrera somehow manages to reverse into a Ferrerarana for another two count. Frustrated, Ferrera stomps on the fallen Diaz and goes to climb the ropes for a High Impact Frog Splash, only for Diaz to get back on his feet and hop on the second rope for a sick execution of the Belly to Belly, yet again it's only two as somehow Ferrera gets a shoulder up! <p>War for Territory #23 card & narrative</p><p> </p><p> She pulled the curtain and stepped into the backstage area, almost collapsing onto one of the nearby chairs. The long walk back from the ring had felt like an eternity. She'd tried to put the weight on her heel but doing that while trying not to obviously walk with a limp was no small feat. Her toe hurt like hell but she had to stay in character. She had to be the unstoppable MMA badass. Back here, she could be her real self again and that self was in a lot of pain.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>"Cripes sake, youse alright dear?"</em></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Tkr72FT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Tkr72FT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Oscar was a similar case to hers. His real life habit of peppering his phrases with tons of slang from his native Wisconsin would never fly with his fun loving disco character, but back here he didn't have to play his gimmick. He could be his snappy sarcastic self who'd come in, do the job and leave without talking to anyone, which was why she was so shocked when he first asked her out a few months ago. Honestly, she was still shocked he came up to check on her. This dating thing was new to her. Having someone to care about you, someone who knows the business and what you're going through. She looked up and gave him an awkward smile, mouthguard still in place.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="n1i1cZU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/n1i1cZU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> <em>"Think I messed up my footwork and hurt my toe when Mel hit us from behind. Won't kill me, but I might kill myself if I try to drive like this."</em></p><p> </p><p> Oscar rolled his eyes at her joking-while-injured response. He loved how she, unlike him, would stay positive even in the worst of situations. He'd only been a pro for a couple of years, but in that short time plus while training at the Boot Camp he'd seen a fair share of locker room filth. Grumpy ones, weaselly ones, slutty ones, politicians, addicts, criminals... The Piledriver locker room was an entirely different experience and as far as he was concerned, a lot of it had to do with Claire being around.</p><p> </p><p> <em>"I'll drive you home, but I'm not carrying youse to the car. <p>Suburb show. Can't wait to see what Annihilus and Reaper do with the United States Title, but even more excited to finally see a Logan Diaz title reign; I'm calling it now that he eventually loses it back to Ferrara, maybe even after turns for both of them?? Anyway, can't wait to see what happens next.</p><p> </p><p>

"Killer" Carl Bernard & The Good Ol' Boys (with Vinny Cruz)

Riley McManus, Nate DeMarcus & Quentrel Garner

Vinny Cruz leads the heels to the ring for the opener as the Boys from the Yukon made it pretty clear two weeks ago they're not interested in his services. They also gave him quite a beating and it shows, since he's all bandaged up and using a crutch now. The clean cut team of babyface shooters is all to happy to square off with their opponents despite a clear size disadvantage, using their crisp technical skill to effectively combat the big brutes. Between the power of DeMarcus and experience of McManus, it's a pretty even match and Cruz gets frustrated as it drags on and his team isn't picking up a quick easy win. His shouting and crutch-generated noise eventually annoys Bernard, who turns around and threatens to knock Cruz off the apron if he doesn't stop, only to get rolled up by Garner from behind for the flash pinfall.

Winners: Riley McManus, Nate DeMarcus & Quentrel Garner, by pinfall with a roll up

"Payback" Emma Bitch & "Poison Ivy" Mariana Torres (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)

The uber patriotic babyface team is up for action next against Sawyer Sports Services, represented by the champion's former and upcoming challenger in Bitch and Torres. As a result, both heels overlook the rookie and demand to fight the champion, only for Miss Atlantic Wrestling to make a point by taking Torres to the mat for a grappling contest. The two technicians execute some slick chain wrestling sequences as they trade holds and counterholds, leading to the Venus Fly-Trap. Miss Atlantic Wrestling manages to force the rope break but that brings her close to the heels' corner and Bitch gets tagged in to unload with a whirlwind of strikes. Miss Atlantic Wrestling tenaciously holds on and eventually manages to tag Washington in, who comes in like a house on fire to clear the ring. Washington hits her signature moves but once she makes the cover, Sawyer distracts the ref and no count is made. Washington gets in the manager's face and Bitch tries to hit the Payback on her distracted opponent, but Washington barely escapes to tag Miss Atlantic Wrestling back in, only for the youngster instead to get hit with Bitch's finisher.

Winners: "Payback" Emma Bitch & "Poison Ivy" Mariana Torres, by pinfall

Bowen is backstage with Jebediah and the Heartbreak Express, none of which are happy with their recent results. Jebediah lost the US title and failed to beat Ferrera for the Piledriver Championship, while the Express lost the Tag Team titles and everyone's got Bowen cornered. Her blaming the results on her clients' incompetence isn't helping solve anything but then, out of the blue...

Howlin' Mad Mort and Whitehorse Whittaker assault Jebediah and the Express from behind! Needham and Liotta are almost knocked unconscious, which allows the Boys from the Yukon to gang up on the big amish as Bowen yells she's jumping ship to manage some "real men". George Wolfe storms the scene to even the odds and force the Canadian lumberjacks to retreat alongside their new ally in Bowen. Wolfe helps everyone back up and points out how he was right not to fully trust Bowen all along and the scene ends with the faces beaten, confused and disappointed.

Piledriver United States title match

El Hijo de Pilgrim vs Annihilus © (with Reaper)

There was never a question as to how this match would play out, even without Reaper on the sidelines. What's admirable is Pilgrim's duck and dodge game, which may grant him zero offense but it also keeps him in the match for more than a couple of minutes. Reaper simply looks on until Pilgrim's own frantic pace has him pause to catch a breath and it's then that Annihilus finally gets a hold of him to start the squash. But the time he applies the Choke Grip, Pilgrim is so terrified he taps out within a single second as Reaper smiles and claps in approval.

Winner: Annihilus, by submission

Buck Winchester is backstage and he's got something to say. He's been with the company since day one but all he's seen is other people come in and take his spot. Hold him down. In all fairness though, he too is to blame, partially, because he lost himself in the shuffle. But now he's had an epiphany. He knows what he has to do and that is stick to his guns. Be the lone sheriff that drives folk outta his town. So he's going back to the match that made his name. At Night of Champions in December, he challenges ANYONE on the roster to step in the ring with him in a Loser Leaves Town match!

Double Diaz vs The Mid Atlantic Express

Both members of the Express have been pretty vocal in talking down young talent on the rise, especially Quentrel Garner and James Diaz, which in turn has brought them at odds with those two as well as Riley McManus and Logan Diaz. This isn't the first time the two men get in the ring against Double Diaz but it's made all the more special by the fact that Logan won the Piledriver Championship and he's set to defend it against Collier. What's also interesting is that Collier eliminated his partner in the Battle Royal to win that title shot, so there's a bit of underlying tension between the two partners. All that backstory plays heavily into the match, sometimes at the expense of the actual wrestling, but the heels eventually manage to pick up a win when the Architect pokes James' eye to get him in the Blueprint while Logan and Collier are fighting outside the ring.

Winners: The Mid Atlantic Express, by submission with a Blueprint after blatantly cheating

A message from Xavi Ferrera airs next, in which the former two time Piledriver champion addresses his loss to Logan Diaz at Where It All Begins Again. Xavi admits he got complacent carrying the gold all this time and let his guard down, allowing Logan to beat him, but that only served to make him more motivated as he's now looking to fight his way back to a rematch.

COTT Women's title

"The Iron Lady" Jillian Jarvis © vs Eri Sato (with Claire Winters)

Tough as nails brawler Jillian Jarvis has made a name for herself in both QAW and AAA, eventually defeating Foxxy LaRue to become COTT Women's champion. Her list of defenses so far may be short, but it's full of impressive names: Foxxy LaRue. Claire Winters. Pamela Rojo. Estrella Blanca. Now Eri Sato steps up and Jarvis is aiming to add another big name to her list of defeated challengers. Although both women are known for their striking styles, once in the ring they don't quite seem to mesh. The oldschool southern wrasslin' of Jarvis is at odds with Sato's joshi approach of clean, crisp martial arts strikes and the occasional suplex. Though not as good as it should be, the match is still servicable and Jarvis ends up picking the win after catching her opponent right on the jaw with a Tornado Elbow Smash.

Winner: Jillian Jarvis, by pinfall

Jillian Jarvis makes defence number 4 of her COTT Womens title

Thanksbeating 2019 card

You can't always get everything right. Thats what I tried to tell myself once the excitement from the resounding success of my pre-show part died down. So yeah, the main event was hampered a bit but it still wasn't outshined by the semi. And some fans seemed to crap on Bowen's heel turn, but that's on me. Should have built that up more, I've been making a few too many "shock" turns recently. Point is, the show was good and we still beat Rhode Island. We gained fans. An hopefully soon, a TV deal with the Carolinas Network. That would really help us take off. I just hoped it happened before our next couple of big shows, Night of Champions and the Rip Chord Invitational.

George Wolfe vs "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Thanksbeating 2019 kicks off with a big matchup between two former champions looking to bounce back at the expense of each other. Sadly, Wolfe's stiff power style doesn't quite click with Fererra's athletic approach and the match isn't all it could be, though it's still good enough to get the fans going in the opener, plus...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Lisa Bowen does make an appearance to distract Wolfe with her antics. The former US champion seems more wary of her allies though, expecting the Boys from the Yukon to not be far away and that diversion allows Ferrera to take him down with a snap Ferrerarana, then quickly hop on the top rope to hit the High Impact Frog Splash and score the pin.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall after a distraction from Lisa Bowen.</strong></p><p><strong>

Xavi Ferrera is celebrating his win when the music of Riley McManus hits and he comes out with a mic in hand to cut a promo and challenge "The Athlete" to a match at Night of Champions; they've both held the Piledriver Championship before so whoever wins will have legitimate claim to a title shot and Logan Diaz.</p><p>

Masked Patriot & Jebediah vs Annihilus & Reaper</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

If the Death Squad were a scary duo of monster heels, Annihilus and Reaper turn that all the way to 11 as they pummel the middleweight Patriot into a pulp. There's more than size in play though, as the announcing duo brings up: Patriot just lost the COTT World Heavyweight title to 44 year old veteran Frederique Antonio Garcia at NYCW Welcome to the Jungle and the morale hit he took from that has apparently undermined his fighting spirit. Between fan cheers and a sudden adrenaline rush though, Patriot does manage to slide out of the Choke Grip and tag the powerhouse of his team for a break. Jebediah comes in and it's a big man clash from there as the heels take turn to trade blows with him. It's a 2 on 1 situation and for all his stubborness, the big amish eventually is backed in to a corner. Realizing his parnter needs a breather, Patriot tags himself in and hits Annihilus with big strikes trying to take his attention away from Jebediah; it does work, but it also enrages the US champion who focuses his anger on an already worn down Patriot. More than once, referee Alvin Lavin tries to create some space and make sure Patriot doesn't get murdered in there, but Annihilus isn't having any of it and after repeatedly ignoring warnings and shoving the official away, gets disqualified and security hits the ring to break things up.</p><p>

With her Patriot Power ally on her side to cheer her on and watch out for Sawyer, Washington is able to fully focus on the match and successfully defend the title, even if she does so by reversing the Payback into a small package for a pin out of nowhere instead of hitting her own July 4th Jam finisher for a decisive victory.</p><p>

Dressed like a southern gentleman in his white suit and brimming with self confidence, "Class Act" Syd Collier cuts a promo about his upcoming title match at Night of the Champions, saying he'll make Diaz tap and reclaim the title to steer this company towards the right path.</p><p>

As if in response, the champion's pre-taped message follows right up, with Logan Diaz talking about his struggles since day one and how everything has led to his big championship win. COTT World Tag Team titles match</strong></p><p><strong>

Going Coastal © vs The Good Ol' Boys (with Vinny Cruz)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Four months after the big finale of the Sam Keith Classic IX, Going Coastal and the Good Ol' Boys meet again, this time with the COTT World Tag Team titles on the line. The CZCW representatives lost in the final of July's tournament, so they're out to not only defend the belts but also score the equalizer against the redneck duo from Iowa. Using their speed and athleticism, California Love Machine and Frankie Boy Fernandez keep the pace of the match fast as they duck and dodge while using hit-and-run tactics to take the fight to their challengers. A poorly timed dropkick from Fernandez though is all it takes for the Good Ol' Boys to turn the tables and take control of the match, using their massive size and power advantage to maul the champions. It feels like it's only a matter of time from that point on, until...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Howlin' Mad Mort and Whitehorse Whittaker make their appearance, with Lisa Bowen directing them to surround the ring. The two Canadians circle the ring like sharks, sending Cruz into a frenzy before they send him packing with a big punch. Langton gets hit with a devastating "Tiiiiiiiiiiimber" onto the ringside floor and the legal man of the team is left on his own inside the ring. Technically not a disqualification yet, the interference keeps the match going and with a minor distraction from Bowen, the ref misses Mort spitting in Fitzpaine's eye, blinding him as the champions hit him with their hih flying tag finisher for the pin.</p><p>

Oscar Tufnel disco-dances his way to the ring and kicks off the show with a promo that eventually gets interrupted by his scheduled opponent tonight, oldschool rock and roll musician Jerry Lee Williams (a.k.a. Tennessee William) who talks some trash about Tufnel and the fans before attacking Tufnel for an early start to the match.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Oscar Tufnel vs Jerry Lee Williams</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

There's no two ways about it, Tufnel is still super green in the ring and his strength is on the mic, not in the grapple. While not exactly a squash match, this is a pretty quick one that lasts for five or six minutes before Williams hits the Devil's Crossroad to wrap it up.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Jerry Lee Williams, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Backstage, James Diaz and Nate DeMarcus are preparing for their match against the Mid Atlantic Express when Logan Diaz walks up to them. The Piledriver champion wishes them both good luck but can't help questioning why James didn't come to him first, why they're not fighting this match as Double Diaz. Tapping the title on Logan's shoulder, James says he appreciates the offer, but the Express and Ferrera have a point; he's holding him down. All the success Logan's had so far has been as a singles wrestler. James will wrestle the Express next to DeMarcus and hopefully Nate "The Great" can build some momentum in light of his upcoming US title match at Night of the Champions in two weeks.</p><p>

Kick City Connection vs Sawyer Sports Services</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

For all their skill and chemistry, the Kick City Connection are having a bad night and Sawyer's team make the best of it. Sato especially seems to be all over the place and instead of focusing, she seems to be blaming Winters for a couple of spots that go awry, until she's hit with a Crunching Sickle from the rampaging Trigg and with Sawyer keeping Winters busy at ringside, the pin is made and the heels get the win.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by pinfall after Playboy Jake Sawyer interfered</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Once the match is over, Sawyer gets on the mic and adresses the Piledriver Women's champion Lora Washington, saying there's still one woman in his group she hasn't beat and that's the same who got the pin tonight, Melanie Trigg. At Night of the Champions, he dares Washington to face her for the belt!</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

Riley McManus is shown passing tips to his protege, Quentrell Garner, when Xavi Ferrera walks in. With a smug smile on his face, Ferrera makes fun of Garner from taking advice "from a loser" and brings up how he beat Wolfe at Thanksbeating, promising his Night of the Champions opponent that his protege will watch him get embarassed in the ring.</p><p>

The Mid Atlantic Express vs James Diaz & Nate DeMarcus</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The powerhouse babyface team is in control early in the match but the Architect turns things around with a smooth technical reversal on rookie Diaz to take the wheel as he puts a finger on his temple and shouts about this being about skill and smarts, not power. The taunt provides Diaz with a chance to escape and tag in DeMarcus though, who hits the Architect with a few big slams but gets distracted by Collier on the apron as he taunts DeMarcus for "betraying MAW". The distraction allows the Architect to attack from behind and then tag Collier in for the Texas Cloverleaf. DeMarcus manages to get to the ropes, forcing a break and also tagging Diaz back in. Again, Collier gets vocal about Diaz getting "favorable treatment" and being way in over his head "for a rookie" while also taunting him about this being a warmup for when he beats "big cousin Logan" for the title. Slowly but surely, Collier gets in the head of James Diaz and around the tenth minute of the match manages to catch him in the Texas Cloverleaf for the tap.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The Mid Atlantic Express, by submission</strong></p><p><strong>

A pre-taped promo airs next, with Lisa Bowen talking in front of her new clients, the Boys from the Yukon. Bowen praises the three way tag title match at Where It All Begins Again, saying she's found a way to not just repeat, but top it and magement has gotten on board: at Night of the Champions, it will be the Good Ol' Boys... versus the Boys from the Yukon... versus the Heartbreak Express... with the titles suspended above the ring for a Ladder match!</p><p>

Masked Patriot is about to make his entrance for tonight's big main event when Reaper walks up to him. Patriot immediately assumes a fighting stance and looks around in anticipation of Annihilus, but Reaper laughs and tells him to relax; he's only here to deliver a message. In two weeks, at Night of the Champions, Reaper is scheduled to face Jebediah. If Masked Patriot becomes the COTT World Heavyweight Champion again tonight, he will have no one to defend his title against. If he loses tonight though, he will be added to that match to make it a Triple Threat. So which one will it be, COTT title and missing the last big show of the year, or a loss tonight for a chance to wrestle at Night of the Champions?</p><p>

COTT World Heavyweight title match</strong></p><p><strong>

Frederique Antonio Garcia © vs Masked Patriot</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Don't let the fabulous feathery outfit and grandiose entrance confuse you, at 44 years of age with 26 of them as a pro wrestler, the COTT World Heavyweight champion is a man to be taken seriously. Trained at the DeColt Power House and having worked for USPW and then SWF as one half of the "Flex&Pecs" tag team before the Eisens did the most Eisen thing to reinvent him as Frederique Antonio Garcia (<em>acronym F.A.G....get it?</em>), the man joined NYCW in late 2017 for a true career revival, evidenced in him carrying the alliance title. The match is slow and methodical, fitting Garcia's style (but not whatever he has left of his stamina) and building up drama as Patriot seems at times to ponder the options Reaper gave him before making his entrance. Whatever the case, it takes more than fifteen minutes before an exhauste Garcia his his Romeo is Bleeding finisher [seated Face Plant] for the pin to retain.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Frederique Antonio Garcia, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="pyf9Pt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pyf9Pt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

Before the show is over, the entrance screen comes alive with what seems to be a live transmission from George Wolfe. The second generation wrestler admits he's had a few disappointing results lately, his last big win being when he beat Buck Winchester for the United States title in September. That's where he needs to get back at and if he can't, he'll walk out of the company. That's right, this is him accepting Buck Winchester's open challenge to a Loser Leaves Town match at Night of the Champions. He's beaten him before and he'll do so again, in the kind of match that made Winchester famous. But given what's at stake, the match has to end clean and he has the perfect way to make sure of that... make it a Texas Deathmatch!</p><p>
