So a cop comedy team fits. I see Knight as a Sgt Joe Friday (dragnet) cop and a Drebin as the goofy cop. Hmmm I might have to use down the line.</p>

Featuring:

"Killer" Carl Bernard vs El Hijo de Pilgrim vs "The Sandman" Jules Knight vs Kenneth Drebin vs "The Goth" Nancy Hollands vs Nicole Pyle

Opposite to his recent promo, El Hijo de Pilgrim comes out on his own and looks a bit baffled at the absence of his manager. Bernard also lacks Sheik Ali Al-Avatar, who was recently taken out by Annihilus and the match is off with no outside presence at all. After a fun little comedy spot with Pilgrim, simpleton Kenneth Drebin is rolled up by Pyle and becomes the first elimination of the match, with Hollands following soon after Bernard demolishes her with a spear. This earns him the attention of Knight, who attempts to "arrest" him only to get chokeslammed and eliminated himself after a short exchange. With now half the starting participants in, Pilgrim and Pyle realize they need to team up in order to take down Bernard and through a series of quick hit-and-run moves bring him down to one knee. Pilgrim charges for whatever he had in mind, but Bernard explodes back up to a standing position, sending Pilgrim up and over the ropes to the outside floor. Pyle retreats to check on him (and avoid a one on one confrontation with Bernard) and this gives the big man enough time to regroup. Once Pilgrim is back up and in the ring again, he tries his charge once more, this time getting caught into a spinebuster that leads to the pin. Pyle comes in flying from the top turnbuckle for a crossbody next, with Bernard catching her and slamming her on top of Pilgrim, scoring the final elimination to win the match.

Nate "The Great" DeMarcus vs "The Monster" Annihilus © (with Reaper)

Caught between a rock and a hard place, or in this case, two of the biggest, nastiest men on the roster, DeMarcus is in for a rough match. His athleticism is of little good against the super heavyweight champion but still he manages to pull off a decent performance and last a full ten minutes before ending up in the dreaded Choke Grip. Reaper barely needs to do anything to help his new disciple and just like that, Annihilus manages to retain.

Winner: Annihilus, via submission

Once the match is over though, Reaper gets in the ring to raise the champion's hand, then the two monsters turn their attention towards the reeling DeMarcus. Gasping for air still, DeMarcus can barely roll through to protect himself from the 2 on 1 beatdown when...

El Masked Sheik, who totally is NOT Sheik Ali Al-Avatar under a mask, he just happens to have a heavy accent that's a shady mix between Spanish and Middle Eastern. As El Masked Sheik points out, he may hail from the same place as El Hijo de Pilgrim (yep, seeing them next to each other that actually makes absolute sense) but he is not here to help him. After slapping the young competitor, he turns to the camera and explains he is here representing El Network de TV Carolinas and his job is to evaluate whether Piledriver Wrestling should be offered a broadcast deal. It will all depend on what he writes in his report and he can tell whatever... story... he likes... [heavily practiced maniacal evil laughter]

Buck Winchester vs George Wolfe

Wolfe comes out wearing a shirt that reads "Clutch Player" as a nod to having put the pressure on himself in order to perform best now that the stakes are high, while Winchester is his usual self in jeans, cowboy boots and hat. There's no two ways about it, this is going to be a nasty brawl. Wolfe has the early advantage and even slams Winchester with a couple of big suplexes, forcing the Texas native to regroup outside the ring. After a brief pause to stand confidently in the middle of the ring, Wolfe gives chase but gets caught when Winchester lures him into a charge he dodges to send Wolfe crashing onto the barricade. From that point on the cowboy is in control and he proceeds to punish his 28 year old second generation opponent, the highlight of which is delivering the Texas Backbreaker onto a folding chair he'd set up earlier. Wolfe shows tenacity and fights back as best as he can, trying to take the fight back between the ropes where he's strongest, but as soon as he goes for a big vertical suplex, his damaged back gives way and Buck hits him with another Texas Backbreaker, this time doing enough damage to keep him down for the full count.

Winner: Buck Winchester

Still breathing hard from the fight, Winchester calls for a mic and in his usual laconic style simply says that "Buck... is back!" before dropping the mic and returning to the locker room, leaving Wolfe to the realization that he was just kicked out of the company.

The Boys from the Yukon (with Lisa Bowen)

While it starts as a wrestling match, this quickly devolves into a hardcore brawl once the first ladder is introduced. Though the two big man heel teams go all out in using the ladders as weapons against each other, the Express isn't far behind and Needham especially hits a few high flying moves off the ladders, his highlight being when he stops halfway up to the belts in order to dive outside onto Bowen instead, taking out his traitorous ex manager but also giving up his chance to reclaim the titles. With Needham out after his crazy stunt and Whittaker checking on Bowen, the Good Ol' Boys team up to hit the Iowa Harvest on Mort, slamming him down onto a ladder. Liotta gets thrown over the top rope onto Whittaker outside and with the ring clear as everyone else is reeling, Wooton Fitpaine has the time to retrieve the titles for his team.

Winners: The Good Ol' Boys

"The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera vs Riley McManus (with Quentrel Garner)

Though not as heated or personal as Ferrera's feud with Logan Diaz, there is a long history between him and McManus since both are PDW originals and former champions way before Diaz ever claimed the top prize in the company. With Riley's protege watching from the sidelines, the two competitors deliver a straightforward wrestling match, a welcome change of pace after the spot-heavy ladder match and the Winchester-Wolfe brawl that preceded it. However, the entire thing is brought down a bit by its shady finish when...

INrQQdr.jpg

...Jerry Lee Williams comes out to harass Garner at ringside, distracting McManus for a precious moment that allows Ferrera to take him down with a Samoan Drop and deliver the High Impact Frog Splash for the pin.

Winner: Xavi Ferrera, by pinfall following interference from Jerry Lee Williams

"American Woman" Lora Washington © (with Miss Atlantic Wrestling) vs Melanie Trigg (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)

With title victories over former champion "Poison Ivy" Mariana Torres and "Payback" Emma Bitch, Washington now looks to vanquish the final member of Sawyer Sports Services in Melanie Trigg. The challenger's sheer power and aggression makes for an explosive start, but as Washington struggles to make a comeback, it becomes apparent these two will never really gel as opponents. Miss Atlantic Wrestling and Sawyer do their best to contribute to the match and draw attention away from its shortcomings, including a part where they get into a little ringside brawl, while Washington takes a beating for over twelve minutes before she can finally hit the July 4th Jam to score the pin and retain.

Winner: Lora Washington, by pinfall

Jebediah vs Masked Patriot (with Miss Atlantic Wrestling) vs Reaper (with Annihilus)

Jebediah is the only man in the match to not have someone on his corner, Masked Patriot is by far the smaller man and Miss Atlantic Wrestling is both too small and too honorable to contribute much besides cheering him on, so Reaper looks like the favorite going into this match. Indeed, Jebediah immediatey recognized the threat Annihilus poses at ringside and quickly turns his attention that way, hitting the big man with a surprise avalanche before leaving the ring to continue his attack outside it. This leaves Patriot and Reaper with some space to fight each other before Jebediah decides to rejoin the bout. Patriot smartly retreats to a corner so he can catch his breath and let the two behemoths butt heads, which leads to Jebediah eventually superplexing Reaper and almost breaking the ring. Before the amish wrestler can finish things off with the Sunset Splash, Patriot gets back into the match though still coming head-on instead of jumping Jebediah from behind. It's a straightforward athletic contest and given what Jeb's been through so far, a pretty even one too. The recovered Reaper isn't above slamming Jebediah from behind though and the blow brings him to one knee before Reaper shifts his attention to Patriot. A charging spear is dodged and Reaper crashes onto Annihilus just as he' climbing back into the apron, leaving the field open for Patriot to apply a guillotine choke on Jebediah and after much struggle, force him to submit.

Winner: Masked Patriot, by submission

"Glorious" Logan Diaz © (with James Diaz) vs "Class Act" Syd Collier (with The Architect)

A match several months in the making, this one is made extra tense by the presence of James Diaz and the Architect at ringside, a reminder of the ongoing feud between the Mid Atlantic Express and basically every rookie they deem as not having paid their dues. The start of the match is pretty old school, with Collier talking trash before Diaz chops him to a corner; from there, Collier switches into cowardly heel mode, avoiding conflict until James Diaz shoves him towards his cousin for a suplex that ends in a two count. Collier complains to the ref for the interference but it's all a trick to catch the champion unaware and shoot for his legs, taking him to the mat where Collier is most comfortable. After a couple of holds, Diaz manages to power out and hit a big headbutt to create some space, but the subsequent dizzyness has him head towards the corner where the Architect is lying in wait to sneak in a few blows before raising his hands and playing innocent to the ref. Collier pounces to deliver some strikes and take down Diaz to apply the Texas Cloverleaf, but he does so too quick and being close to the ropes still, Logan manages to crawl there and force a break. Frustrated, Collier drags his opponent to the middle of the ring and tries again, but this time he gets blocked and in a slow, dramatic reversal, Diaz actually turns things around to get on top and put Collier in a Boston Crab, right in the center of the ring! Collier struggles and the Architect gets in the ring to help, but before he can break it up, James Diaz gets in the way to deny it. James and the Architect get into a shoving contest but that ends with an Asian Thumb Spike that flattens the veteran and with no other options left now, Collier finally taps out.

Winner: Logan Diaz, by submission

<td>Buck Winchester

Age: 31 [8 years pro]

Finishing moves:

Texas Backbreaker [Over Shoulder Backbreaker Hold]

Swinging Neckbreaker<td></tr></table>

Overview:

"Cowboy" Buck Winchester is a bar room brawler from Dallas, Texas. There's very little refinement in Buck's work; from the moment he comes out in his usual attire of jeans, cowboy boots and a stetson, you know exactly what you're going to get, and that's fisticuffs. Although his ring work is limited, what does work in his favour is that he plays his character well, and although he rarely mumbles more than a few words, his charisma makes him a popular figure. Making his pro debut in 2011, he had found his way onto the RIPW roster within a year and had a good two and a half year run with them before being released in December 2014. Buck is a member of Piledriver Wrestling's starting roster and is known for having sent off several former members of the roster in "Loser Leaves Town" matches.

Overview:

"Glorious" Logan Diaz is a promising young talent from Florida who is of German descent. A high school athletic stand-out, excelling in multiple sports, he is a former two-time state champion in freestyle wrestling. Turning pro in late 2015, it is clear that he possesses all the tools to be a major player if handled right; looks, skill, athleticism and drive. He also has some pedigree in the business - he is the nephew of Raymond Diaz, a legendary figure from PGHW in Japan. His uncle's name value was enough to get the interest of several companies, but it was PSW who signed him up almost immediately upon him turning pro, before quickly releasing him for Piledriver Wrestling to sign. Although his real last name is Wolfsbaine and he wrestled under it in Pittsburgh, he has since reverted to "Diaz" as a nod and tribute to his family's legacy.

This Masked Patriot - by some accounts the twenty-first man to have donned the red, white and blue - is a youngster called Eric Lee from Boston. Patriot joined the SWF under a development deal upon turning pro and was sent to RIPW to gain experience and learn to work the "SWF style" and after a rushed run in the main roster, was released in July of 2017. Piledriver Wrestling signed him in April of 2018 and he has since been one of the company's top babyface wrestlers.

He soon began to gain a repuation for being a solid technical wrestler, not the spotty high flier that so many independent workers were, and that reputation reached the ears of Rip Chord who soon invited McManus down to MAW to have a try out; clearly he did well, as in the summer of 2007 he made his full debut for the promotion. McManus lasted four years with the promotion, and undoubtedly improved as a worker over that time, but ultimately he failed to make much of a mark until Piledriver Wrestling signed him for their opening roster. July 4th Jam [seated Face Plant]<td></tr></table>

Overview:

"American Woman" Lora Washington is a Florida wrestler who was trained by AAA but never made it to the full roster. Surprisingly she eventually turned up on the BSC roster, using the gimmicky name "Miss American Pie", as part of the promotion's attempt to add more actual wrestling to their shows. She managed to teach some of the girls some decent skills, but ultimately it was a futile attempt as the promotion went out of business in November 2012. Her efforts had got her noticed by USPW however, and she joined them a few months later, again as Miss American Pie, and has been a solid member of the roster ever since until her release in 2019. Unphased, Washington moved to Piledriver Wrestling and debuted with a big title win over "Poison Ivy" Mariana Torres.

Riley McManus & Quentrel Garner vs Jerry Lee Williams & Xavi Ferrera</strong></p><p><strong>

Members of the winning team will both participate in the Rip Chord Invitational XV</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Following the actions of Jerry Lee Williams at Night of the Champions, he is teamed up with Xavi Ferrera for this opening tag match against McManus and Garner with tickets to the Rip Chord Invitational XV on the line. Unike the clean cut, non-nonesense babyfaces, the heel team of Williams and Ferrera were not on the same page that night and they certainly aren't on this night, their egos clashing as bad as their wrestling styles. Still, a stroke of luck allows Williams to hit the Devil's Crossroad on Garner out of nowhere and score the pin, the result leaving a somewhat foul mouth on fans and losers alike.</p><p>

Annihilus & Reaper</strong></p><p><strong>

Members of the winning team will both participate in the Rip Chord Invitational XV</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Probably a case of too many moving parts in this match and one of the glaring issues is seeing Logan on the corner of James. Whether because James is the bigger of two or because he's Ray's closer relative, the combination is somewhat off-putting. That and a cringe-worthy shoulder breaker from Fitzpaine that seems to take DeMarcus out of the match for good are bad news for the babyface team, but at least they're not the first ones eliminated. Instead, Reaper sees a chance and attacks the "celebrating" Fitzpaine to take him out and score the pin. This basically makes it a 2 on 1 situation and James Diaz is now the one all alone against two monsters. Though maimed, DeMarcus still does his part and lures Reaper into roughing him up, which in turn allows Diaz to catch Annihilus in a guillotine choke and get the submission for the win.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: James Diaz & Nate DeMarcus, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong>

Backstage, Brooke Tyler is preparing for her upcoming match when "Playboy" Jake Sawyer walks in and tries to sell himself to her as the manager of champions in order to get her to join Sawyer Sports Services. "The Second Generation Star" Brooke Tyler vs Eri "Strong Style" Sato (with "Ice Cold" Claire Winters)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

For all her martial arts background, Sato has an underappreciated technical game and being in the ring with Brooke Tyler helps her highlight that aspect of her wrestling. Though featuring the occasional stiff strike to spice things up, the match is mostly a technical bout and Sato seems to be outclassed by both Tyler's skill and her own shortcomings. Winters has to jump in for the save more than once to the point where she risks disqualification, but once Sato ends up in the Brooke Breaker in the middle of the ring, the tap follows soon after and she's left to argue/blame Winters while Tyler has her hand raised.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Brooke Tyler, by submission</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>

COTT Junior Heavyweight title match</strong></p><p><strong>

Jackpot Jordan (CZCW) vs The Architect (with "Class Act" Syd Collier)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Not seen in Piledriver Wrestling for almost a full year since he lost to Xavi Ferrera in the opening round of the Rip Chord Invitational XIV, Jackpot Jordan returns to wrestle a title match in the main event this time. His opponent is The Architect and he uses every ounce of his mat magic to keep Jordan grounded, denying him most of his offence while working the arm to set up his Blueprint finisher. To make matters worse for Jordan, Collier is at ringside and every time he tries to get some offense going, if the Architect doesn't manage to shut it down fast, Collier is there for the assist. What the two of them did not account for though is that focusing on the arm still means Jordan can move around and kick pretty well, as evidenced by a surprize enzuguiri that takes out Collier, before Jordan finally hits an offensive sequence on the Architect that ends with the Cash In [Leaping Neckbreaker] and the pin to make him the inaugural COTT Junior Heavyweight champion.</p><p>

He became a major part of the promotion, particularly as part of the great tag team C-V-2 which he formed with Cameron Vessey. After a successful five year run with MAW Casey signed with USPW where he was quickly aligned with his uncle Peter for a short while before Peter retired. Piledriver Wrestling signed him in April of 2018 and he has since been one of the company's top babyface wrestlers, including his 2019 Rip Chord Invitational victory that makes him this year's defending champion.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Career Highlights:</strong></p><p> COTT World Heavyweight Champion</p><p> Piledriver Champion</p><p> 2019 Rip Chord Invitational winner</p><p> MAW Mid Atlantic Champion</p><p> 2x RIPW USA Champion</p><p> 2015 RIPW March to Glory tournament winner</p></div><p></p><p></div></p><p> </p><p> <div style="padding: 10px; border: 5px solid #035096; margin:10px;background: #FFFFFF; max-width:1000px;box-shadow: 0 4px 8px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2), 0 6px 20px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.19); background-image:url();background-position:center;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-size:contain;"><table style="border: 5px solid #ADD8E6; background: #E0E0E0; box-shadow: 0 4px 8px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2), 0 6px 20px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.19); background-image:url(<a href="https://i.imgur.com/OUphkmR.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/OUphkmR.jpg</a>);background-repeat:repeat-y;background-size:contain;background-position:center;"; cellpadding="5px"; frame="box"; width="100%"><tr valign="top"><td width="150px"; valign="middle"><img alt="uN4bdE9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uN4bdE9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> "The Athlete"</td></p><p> <td><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Xavi Ferrera</strong></span></p><p> <strong>Age:</strong> 25 [5 years pro]</p><p> <strong>Size:</strong> Muscular Middleweight<td></tr></table></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p> Xavi Ferrera is a talented youngster from Puerto Rico whose family were originally from Portugal. <p>Piledriver Wrestling presents:</p><p>

The Rip Chord Invitational XV</p><p>

Saturday, Week 4 January, 2020</p><p>

Live from the Centerpiece Bridge, SC</p><p> </p><p>

Main Event</p><p>

Tournament final</p><p>

Masked Patriot vs <strong>Casey Valentine</strong></p><p>

This should be a great match up between two premier talents -- the only reason I'm not calling this to be better than Valentine/Diaz is the fatigue. With Patriot having won the 2019 RCI and Valentine having won it in 2010, I think here Valentine scores a victory over Patriot in what will be the end of perhaps the best RCI in history.</p><p> </p><p>

Semi-main Event</p><p>

Patriot Power (Lora Washington & Miss Atlantic Wrestling) vs <strong>Brooke Tyler & ??</strong></p><p>

I don't know who the ??? is, but I imagine there will be a tainted finish.</p><p> </p><p>

Tournament Semifinal</p><p>

<strong>Valentine</strong> vs Ferrera</p><p>

This should be a barn burner right here. If this match happens, I'm calling this as MOTN/MOTT.</p><p> </p><p>

Tournament Semifinal</p><p>

<strong>Patriot </strong>vs Dee</p><p>

This should be a good match up.</p><p> </p><p>

Special Women's Tag match</p><p>

<strong>Kick City Connection (Winters & Sato)</strong> vs Sawyer Sports Services (Bitch & Trigg)</p><p> </p><p>

Tournament Quarterfinal</p><p>

Jackpot Jordan vs <strong>Xavi Ferrera</strong></p><p>

Despite Jordan having just won the newly minted COTT World Junior Heavyweight Championship, I think that he's going to do a tainted job.</p><p> </p><p>

Tournament Quarterfinal</p><p>

Itzamna vs <strong>Frankie Dee</strong></p><p>

Very interesting match up here with two guys who aren't PDW guys at all. Since discovering Itzamna, I've been very interested him; however I think there is more life in Frankie Dee.</p><p> </p><p>

Tournament Quarterfinal</p><p>

<strong>Masked Patriot </strong>vs Jerry Lee Williams</p><p> </p><p>

Tournament Quarterfinal</p><p>

<strong>Casey Valentine</strong> vs James Diaz</p><p>

Why did you do this to me, DR? Casey Valentine against a Diaz. How could you make me have to pick such a thing.</p>

Representing NYCW, "Cool Hand" Casey Valentine, son of Peter Valentine and trained by Rip Chord himself, the former 2 time USPW Television champion is back with a point to prove, hoping a repeat win will re-launch his career like winning the 2010 Invitational did. Representing 4C, their recently 4 time champion and former COTT World Heavyweight champion, Frankie Dee, who Piledriver fans remember thanks to his clashes with Scythe over the COTT title. "The Mighty Mayan" Itzamna will represent OLLIE, though he's also making appearances for EMLL and is a former SOTBPW standout prospect. Much like Valentine, he has a chance to prove his former big league employers wrong to let him go. Finally, for CZCW, the recently crowned COTT Junior Heavyweight champion Jackpot Jordan, hot off winning the title and looking to fare better than he did last year, when he was eliminated in the first round of the tournament. The four representatives for Piledriver Wrestling will be hotshot rookie James Diaz, veteran Jerry Lee Williams who'll be especially interesting to see if he ends up against the representative of his former NYCW employers, the decorated champion and last year's winner Masked Patriot and finally, two time Piledriver champion but never Rip Chord Invitational winner, Xavi Ferrera.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Rip Chord Invitational XV Quarterfinals match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="LOGkgwU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LOGkgwU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="oSBICFE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oSBICFE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "Cool Hand" Casey Valentive vs "Return of the Monster" James Diaz</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The fifteenth ever Rip Chord Invitational kicks off with a great contest between two extremely talented second generation competitors and seeing them go is magical: Valentine and Diaz feel like they were meant to fight each other and it isn't long before a "fight forever" chant is heard, even if the match itself is pretty short at just under ten minutes, with the 12 year veteran Valentine exploiting the inexperience of Diaz to hit him with a Deep Impact and score the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Cool Hand" Casey Valentive, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Rip Chord Invitational XV Quarterfinals match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="FHUEpiU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FHUEpiU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="INrQQdr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/INrQQdr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Masked Patriot vs Jerry Lee Williams</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Masked Patriot has a history of facing monsters much bigger than him in Piledriver Wrestling, wrestlers like Scythe and Reaper, so being up against a man more or less his size frees him up to perform a lot more moves from his arsenal. On the opposite side, the rugged brawling of Williams and smug way he can get under people's skins to garner heat help draw fans into the match and in support of Patriot, who finally picks up the win after narrowly escaping the Devil's Crossroad to hit his own Patriot Slam finisher for the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Masked Patriot</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Rip Chord Invitational XV Quarterfinals match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="2PRxgqp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2PRxgqp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yJa1QGX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yJa1QGX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "The Mighty Mayan" Itzamna vs "White Angel" Frankie Dee</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The only quarterfinals match to not involve any Piledriver Wrestling talent, this still keeps fans alive thanks to them being familiar with Dee as well as Itzamna's impressive ring gear. Despite his Aztec look and lucha mask, Itzamna never leaves his feet for any high flying moves, instead he's an old school rudo, keeping the match slow as he works over his opponent with big blows and punishing slams. However, Frankie Dee is not the kind of smaller opponent Itzamna is used to bullying around and he responds in kind with stiff martial arts strikes that make this a pretty physical match. Things look pretty even as the two men go back and forth but Itzamna ends up advancing and in true villain fashion, he does so by putting a foot on the ropes for extra leverage to keep his opponent down for the count.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "The Mighty Mayan" Itzamna, by pinfall while illegally using the ropes for leverage</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Rip Chord Invitational XV Quarterfinals match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="M3JEwrW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M3JEwrW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="uN4bdE9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uN4bdE9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "High Roller" Jackpot Jordan vs "The Athlete" Xavi Ferrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The first round of matches wraps up with a rematch from last year's opening round, where Ferrera knocked Jordan out of the tournament. This time Jordan is out for vengeance and he's also hot off his victory over the Architect two weeks ago for the COTT Junior Heavyweight title. Of course, Ferrera is no junior and that poses a different kind of challenge, but Jordan looks hellbent on revenge, something he finally gets when he rolls through a Ferrerarana to catch his opponent in a small package.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Jackpot Jordan, by pinfall with a small package</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="oSBICFE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oSBICFE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="MzjfHKV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MzjfHKV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Backstage, James Diaz is removing the tape from his wrists when Logan walks up to him and congratulates him. James says there's nothing to congratulate him about as he lost his opening round match, but Logan puts things in perspective for him by reminding him he's barely a full year pro wrestler; even being in the Invitational is a huge success and he should consider it an honor. James nods after Logan's done with his pep talk and the two cousins share a hug.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="n1i1cZU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/n1i1cZU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8sEkkAa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8sEkkAa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NuLYzbD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NuLYzbD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="uwfOQSm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uwfOQSm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="aMXABmX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aMXABmX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Kick City Connection (Winters & Sato) vs Sawyer Sports Services (Bitch & Trigg, with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> For all their natural understanding of each other in the ring, Winters and Sato seem to have a significant amount of tension between them that's been escalating with each appearance, to the point where it hinders their performance in this match against two of Sawyer's clients. Though not as fluid a team, Bitch and Trigg are every bit as rough, rugged and hard hitting as their opponents, making this a smashmouth contest that ends with Bitch knocking Winters off the apron before she catches Sato with the Payback for the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="n1i1cZU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/n1i1cZU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8sEkkAa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8sEkkAa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> With the winners gone, Winters climbs back into the ring as Sato is getting on her feet again. The tension between the two teammates seems to be reaching a climax as they argue over who's to blame for the loss until Sato finally snaps when she hits Winters with a Buzzsaw Kick! Winters stumbles back and collapses onto a turnbuckle, but that only sets her up for the Sato Tornado, leaving her broken in the ring as Sato yells at her before leaving the ring herself.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Rip Chord Invitational XV Semifinals match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="FHUEpiU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FHUEpiU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2PRxgqp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2PRxgqp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Masked Patriot vs "The Mighty Mayan" Itzamna</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> This is the kind of setup Patriot thrives in, facing bullies and brutes. On top of that, Itzamna is roughly equal in size and power while fans don't take long before they fly into ye goode olde "U-S-A!" chant. Yet again, Itzamna proves that the hype surrounding his name is very real by delivering another great performance in the same night, but he's ultimately doomed to fall victim to a Patriot Slam that sends last year's winner to the finals in hopes of a back to back win.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Masked Patriot, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Rip Chord Invitational XV Semifinals match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="LOGkgwU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LOGkgwU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="M3JEwrW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M3JEwrW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "Cool Hand" Casey Valentine vs "High Roller" Jackpot Jordan</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> A big moment for both men as Valentine is a step closer to repeating his 2010 Invitational win while Jordan looks to main event another Piledriver Wrestling show after War for Territory #25 two weeks ago where he won the COTT Junior Heavyweight title. On top of that, the winner of this goes on to face last year's winner in Masked Patriot, so the stakes are high and the drama adds to the match between two already great competitors. True to his monicker and the CZCW style, Jordan goes high risk from pretty early in the match and keeps things exciting with his daredevil moves while Valentine shows a more well-rounded style that keeps things from turning into a spotfest. It's this calculating, well paced approach that eventually allows Valentine to use Jordan's risky style against him and dodge a big moonsault only to kip up and catch his opponent with a Deep Impact for the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Cool Hand" Casey Valentine, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="h9A0Crp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/h9A0Crp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2rzwtJa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2rzwtJa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="gG04bRj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gG04bRj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yNQekBM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yNQekBM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "American Woman" Lora Washington & Miss Atlantic Wrestling vs "The Second Generation Star" Brooke Tyler & "The Goth" Nancy Hollands</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Hollands is revealed as Tyler's teammate and as the announcing duo points out, this most likely has to do with the Second Generation Star turning down Sawyer's offer two weeks ago: Hollands was the only one available who isn't a member of Sawyer Sports Services. This of course translates into the match as well, with Patriot Power working well together while Tyler and Hollands are nothing greater than the sum of their invididual parts. The discord becomes even more apparent as the match goes on and Tyler looks disinterested, up to the point where she refuses a tag and leaves Hollands on her own to end up in the Kentucky Fried Chickenwing.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Patriot Power, by submission</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46150" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="LOGkgwU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LOGkgwU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <em>"Ten years ago, I stood in this very ring. Back then, people referred to me through others. I was the son of Peter Valentine. The protege of Rip Chord. The parter of Cameron Vessey. All big names in this industry, casting long shadows and great expectations on me. Ten years ago, I became my own man when I won three matches in one night to win the 2010 Rip Chord Invitational. I moved on to the big leagues and proved myself again, winning the USPW Television title twice, but there was one thing that still wouldn't leave me and that was my last name. You see, I always wanted to prove myself in the ring, forge my own legacy without the taint of backstage politics. What I wouldn't do, others did and got ahead of me in the game. So I left, retraced my steps and here I am again, ten years later. I'm more experienced, better prepared and I've already won two of my matches. Masked Patriot, you are a great competitor and last year's winner, but this year, you stand in my way."</em></p><p> <img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="QlFf6Za.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QlFf6Za.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong>Rip Chord Invitational XV Final match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="LOGkgwU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LOGkgwU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="FHUEpiU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FHUEpiU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "Cool Hand" Casey Valentine vs Masked Patriot</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> By this point, everyone's familiar with the background story of the main event: Valentine's career and 2010 win on one hand, a decorated defending champion on the other. Also, two extremely talented, charismatic and popular workers, so much that neither looks like they've already fought two matches earlier in the night. Instead, they deliver an instant classic and by far Piledriver Wrestling's best match to date, a potent mix of technical prowess, physicality, drama, in-ring psychology and masterful crowd manipulation, a fitting finish to the best Rip Chord Invitational to date. By the time things climax to big sequences, false finishes and kick outs around the 15th minute mark, it not only feels like either man could win, but also that no matter who wins, both men's stock has risen after this classic. Patriot kicks out of a Deep Impact, then moments after Valentine gets a shoulder up before three after he's hit with a Patriot Slam. It takes a modified version of the Deep Impact, an elevated execution off the second rope, to finally put Patriot away for the three and Valentine joins "Mainstream" James Hernandez, Findlay O'Farraday and long time teammate Cameron Vessey in the books as a two time winner of the most prestigious tournament in the U.S. independent circuit.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: "Cool Hand" Casey Valentine, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="At6zmyr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/At6zmyr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>
