The Nasty Boys vs. The Bushwhackers

Comments: I like both teams, but gotta go with the Nastys here

Mike Sharpe vs. Saba Simba

Comments: I really feel like Tony Atlas got some really dumb gimmicks in WWE, but even so, he should go over Sharpe easily here.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Jim Duggan

Comments: Should be a really good match, although stamina for both could be an issue.

Haku and The Barbarian vs. Jim Powers and Shane Douglas

Comments: Powers and Douglas are still both pretty young I believe, but it's hard to go against members of the Weasel... I mean.. Heenan family.

Brooklyn Brawler vs. Greg Valentine

Comments: As good of a jobber as the Brooklyn Brawler was, it would have been nice to see him get a few upset wins.

The Million Dollar Man and The Undertaker vs. Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior

Comments: Star power galore in this one! I feel like, again, you're going to have a hard time not letting Hogan and Warrior go over, but if I were picking I'd go with DiBiase and Taker.

Thoughts On Diary: Loving it. Can't say much else. Mike Sharpe vs. Saba Simba

Comments: Don't know these wrestlers too well, but since I'm pretty sure Simba is Tony Atlas, I'll go with him.

Hey lionsden03! Thanks for the predictions and comments. Tony Atlas is, indeed, Saba Simba. One of his, well, lesser gimmicks to say the least.

Thoughts On Diary: Liking this so far. Keep the post coming and I'll be following.

Hey RyanR93WKU! Thanks for the predictions and comments! Glad to hear that you're enjoying this so far and that you'll be continuing to follow. I'll do my best to keep up the standard.

Comments:Even though his best days may be behind him, Atlas picks up a win..(never understood why some of these guys took these ridiculous gimmicks, Guess they needed the money

Thoughts On Diary: Great as always, really can't wait to see Nikita Koloff. I think he could be A monster heel , and a future worlds champ. I think NWA/JCP dropped the ball when they could have had him beat Flair or Rhodes for the Worlds title. Maybe they thought he wasn't ready, but just thinking all the possibilities of what could have been

Hey horseman4lyfe! Thanks for the predictions and comments! I can say that Tony Atlas most likely took the Saba Simba gimmick because he was homeless at the time and just finished a drug addiction.

I definitely agree with you about Nikita Koloff. He could have been an absolute beast but was misused in the NWA. Now that he's here with us in the WWF, we'll have to make sure we don't misuse him in the same manner, right? Maybe he could be a future WWF Heavyweight Champion.

Thoughts On Diary: Loving it. Can't say much else. Shameless plug, please check out my SMW diary if you haven't already. :)

Hey sportsfanmas! Thanks for the predictings and the comments. Glad that you're enjoying things so far. I am really looking forward to seeing reactions to the Royal Rumble.

I gotta rise from the shadows and let ya know that I'm still here just been dealing with work and sooo many changes in my life. KUTGW cuz I'll always read your dairies!

Hey critical-23! I can understand being busy with real life stuff. Real life always comes first. But it's great to see you still around and I hope that your life calms down a little bit. I am always glad to have you as a reader.

Thoughts On Formatting Question: In my opinion, the most essential part to a successful diary is longevity. If you think lightening the load a bit will help with that, then I'm all for it.

Thoughts On Formatting Question: Short and concise works for me. :)

Thoughts On Formatting Question: Short and concise except in special circumstances (eg Mankind winning the title on Raw, or some kind of legendary angle. Otherwise I feel matches outside of PPVs can be short and the big write ups saved for big events)

Thoughts On Formatting Question: I think you should go with option that suite yourself the best and personally I´m fine with shorter write-ups.

In that case, your workload being reduced is going to lead to the most product and passion in this diary. :) This will lead to happy readers either way. The pictures are great, but in reality most people surely skim for results. :p

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts. I really do appreciate each and every one of them. I believe that I am going to try the shortened write-ups and see how things go.

Piper's special guest is Ricky Steamboat, who comes out and joins the Pit. Piper asks Steamboat about his return last week, showing a video of exactly what happened. Steamboat says that he saw an injustice happening last week so he had to come out and do something about it. He says that when you see something wrong you have to make a stand. The Pit is interrupted by the arrival of Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect. Perfect tells Steamboat that he stuck his nose in where it doesn't belong and that, if he's not careful, it will be cut off. Steamboat asks if that's a challenge, maybe for the IC title. Perfect backs off from that, stating that Steamboat has not earned a title shot. But he says that if Steamboat can eliminate him in the Royal Rumble then he will earn a title shot. With Steamboat distracted, Haku and The Barbarian suddenly attack him from behind, leaving him down and out and The Heenan Family standing tall on Piper's Pit. Haku and The Barbarian remain in the ring because they have a match and it's next...A

-In an extremely short match, Haku(C+) and The Barbarian(B-) defeated Jim Powers(D) and Shane Douglas(D) in 5:27 when The Barbarian defeated Shane Douglas by pinfall with a Cresant Kick...C+

-Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior had an interview with Gene Okerlund hyping their upcoming tag match with DiBiase and Undertaker. He reminds Tunney what he is capable of but this only angers Mr. Tunney. This causes Mr. Tunney to add an extra stipulation to that match. The stipulation is that if Martel loses, he's out of the Royal Rumble match. Martel fumes and stomps off...C+

-In an exceptional match, Hulk Hogan(A*) and The Ultimate Warrior(B) defeated The Million Dollar Man(A) and The Undertaker(C+) in 15:08 when The Undertaker got disqualified after going into a rage and refusing to release a chokehold on Hulk Hogan.

The Undertaker was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance...B

-The Million Dollar Man and Dusty Rhodes are in the ring and are squaring off, unhappy about something. The argument soon turns physical, and they are joined by The Undertaker, Sgt. Slaughter, Virgil, Dustin Rhodes, Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior for a wild brawl, with the chaos spilling out all around ringside. Some of the major happenings during this brawl include Virgil accidentally striking The Million Dollar Man, The Undertaker being sent over the top rope with a double clothesline by Hogan and Warrior, Slaughter and Hogan brawling in the ring and, finally, Hogan and Warrior going face-to-face with both men having their hands on the WWF Heavyweight title belt. The show ends on this face-off with Hogan and Warrior, a call back to last year's WrestleMania battle between the two men...A*

We are on the road to WrestleMania VII and this show will go a long way in determining what happens at WrestleMania. Our main event for this show is the Royal Rumble match and we learned at the beginning of this month that the winner of the Royal Rumble will compete for the WWF Heavyweight title at WrestleMania VII! Aside from some unnamed wrestlers competing, such wrestlers as Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and The Russians will be participating in this match! All three prior winners will be included in this match, including Hogan, Big John Studd and Jim Duggan.

-Speaking of WrestleMania VII, only one man can be the WWF Heavyweight Champion heading into this big show. The question becomes whether this will be the current champion, The Ultimate Warrior or his challenger, Sgt. Slaughter. Last Monday night, these two men battled in the ring and Randy Savage had a hand in Slaughter getting the advantage. The turncoat Sgt. Slaughter definitely doesn't have any fans in America and especially in a building where America's pastime takes place. Slaughter has promised to take the title and bring it back to the Middle East but The Ultimate Warrior has other ideas. Only one man can be right.

-In another match, we will see two men leave the World Wrestling Federation. We will see The Million Dollar Man and The Undertaker team up to take on the father and son duo of Dusty Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes. The four men were part of the show-closing brawl on Prime Time Wrestling. Only two of these four men will be part of the Royal Rumble match at the end of the night. The other two will be gone from the World Wrestling Federation. A big question is how will Virgil play into this match after he accidentally struck The Million Dollar Man on Prime Time Wrestling.

-Two more titles will be defended on this night in separate matchups where Mr. Perfect will defend the WWF Intercontinental title against Big Bossman and The Hart Foundation will defend the WWF World Tag Team titles against The Orient Express. Could we see some title changes happen on this evening?

-Our opening match is sure to be a great one as it will take place inside of a steel cage. You can win by pinfall, submission or escaping the match as Rick Martel takes on Jake Roberts! This feud goes back to last year when Martel 'accidentally' sprayed Roberts in the eyes with his Arrogance. This blinded The Snake but we know that Roberts has recovered his vision at this point. Roberts will definitely be looking for revenge in this match but The Model has more riding on the outcome. Last Monday, on Prime Time Wrestling, Martel got into an argument with WWF President Jack Tunney. Due to this argument, Tunney added the stipulation that, if Martel loses, he will no longer be part of the Royal Rumble match.

Prediction Listing

Steel Cage Match (Win By Pinfall, Submission Or Escaping The Cage)

If Rick Martel Loses, He Is Out Of The Royal Rumble

Rick Martel vs. Jake Roberts

Comments:

WWF World Tag Team Titles Match

The Hart Foundation defend vs. The Orient Express

Comments:

WWF Intercontinental Title Match

Mr. Perfect defends vs. Big Bossman

Comments:

Losers Leave The WWF Match

The Million Dollar Man and The Undertaker vs. Dusty Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes

Comments:

WWF Heavyweight Title Match

The Ultimate Warrior defends vs. Sgt. Comments: I could see Slaughter getting a win here in case you would want to get the belt off from Ultimate Warrior but Slaughter´s current gimmick would make it a bit of a hard sell in America so doubt title change would happen here.

Thoughts On Mystery Combatants: Could be guys from WCW or former stars. Could just be jobbers. Interested to see who it could be, but the winner won't be one of the mystery competitors.

Thoughts On Diary: Like how the Royal Rumble is to go to WrestleMania. it really all depends on who walks out as Champion.

Hey RyanR93WKU! Thanks for the predictions and the comments. I can say that the mystery combatants will be a mixture of newer talent and legends coming in for, maybe, one last run. I'm glad that you like how I went ahead and changed up the Royal Rumble early. It isn't for several years, in real life, that the winner officially goes to WrestleMania. But I feel that this is just the right step forward.

Thoughts On Diary: Looking forward to The Road to Wrestlemania.

Hey lionsden03! Thanks for the predictions and comments. Glad that you're enjoying things as we begin on the Road toward WrestleMania. Just remember that anything can happen in the WWF.

Hey to4sty! Thanks for the predictions and comments! The Orient Express are a pretty decent team together, both this one and the original team. I do feel I must say that both members of LoD won't be seen for a bit. Hawk's 'injury' by Demolition is because he had to go to rehab.

Hey horseman4lyfe and FellaLibby! Thanks for the predictions and comments! As far as Ric Flair goes? There's only one way to find out if he's The Nature Boy that's been advertised and that's to tune in to the Royal Rumble. But I must say that I am happy and satisfied seeing Arn Anderson as the WCW World Champion.

Hey sportsfanmas! Thanks for the predictions and comments! I can say that the Immortal one does have his creative control and that factored in some to the results of the Royal Rumble. How much did it factor in? Only one way to find out and that's to tune in to the Royal Rumble itself. I can say that, in real life, I was a Hulk Hogan fan during this era and that he still gets a nostalgia pop from me.

The atomizer is brought in the ring and placed in Martel's corner. When the bell sounds, these two rivals meet in the center of the ring. Martel makes a motion like Roberts smells and then he walks back to the atomizer. He goes to pick it up and Roberts attacks him from behind. Roberts shoves Martel back in the corner and climbs up, throwing punches on Martel! Roberts quickly drops back down and pulls Martel into a short-arm clothesline. He yanks Martel back up and signals for the DDT! He hooks Martel but The Model slips free, dropping to the ground and crab-walking back to a corner. Roberts follows him in and Martel pokes him in the eye! Martel turns Roberts back into the corner and catches him with several shoulders into the gut before pulling him out and bringing him to the mat with a vertical suplex. The beginning of the match has Perfect trying a little stick and move tactic on Bossman, trying to keep him away from being able to use that power. However, Perfect steps in one too many times and Bossman grabs him, throwing him across the ring. Perfect stands up in the corner and gets squashed by Bossman with a corner clothesline! Bossman has the crowd behind him as he places Perfect over the second rope. Bossman bounces off the ropes and then slides underneath the bottom rope, turning and jacking the jaw of Perfect with an uppercut! Bobby Heenan steps in, yelling at Bossman! With the Bossman distracted, Mr. Perfect recovers in the ring and hits Bossman with a baseball slide kick! Perfect rams Bossman into the guardrail and then brings the action back inside the ring where he begins focusing on the back of the Bossman. He stomps on the back and somehow manages to hit a backbreaker on the larger Big Bossman! Perfect gets Bossman in the corner and hits a snapmare followed by a rolling neck snap. Perfect calls for the Perfect-Plex but it's blocked by Bossman! The crowd begins cheering and clapping their hands as Bossman twists out of the Perfect-Plex attempt and brings Perfect down with a body slam. Both men slowly get to their feet and Bossman takes control. Bossman calls for the Bossman Slam but Bobby Heenan gets on the apron! Heenan yells at the Bossman and gets the attention of the referee. Will it be The Million Dollar Man and The Undertaker? Or will it be Dusty Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes? The fans are solidly in the corner of the Rhodes family but Brother Love and Virgil are standing in the corner of The Undertaker and The Million Dollar Man. Virgil does not look happy standing in the corner as he was originally supposed to be a part of this match. Ted DiBiase starts the match with Dustin Rhodes. Dustin shows some of that youthful exuberance against DiBiase, going right after him. He pushes DiBiase back into a corner and the referee asks for a clean break. Dustin is ready to give it to him but DiBiase goes for a slap -- blocked by Dustin! Dustin catches DiBiase with his own version of the Bionic Elbow in the corner, sending DiBiase staggering out of the corner and flopping on the mat. Dustin tags in his father and Dusty comes in, picking up DiBiase and body slamming him on the mat. Dusty gets wild in the ring, attacking DiBiase with a few chops and punches while standing and dropping an elbow on him on the mat. He only scores a two count when it's broken up by The Undertaker. Dusty pulls DiBiase back up and begins punching him with three straight right hands before doing a little dance and another Bionic Elbow. Dusty plays to the crowd as DiBiase yells for Virgil to get on the apron. Virgil refuses but DiBiase manages to get enough momentum to tag in The Undertaker. The Undertaker steps in and catches Dusty with a stiff clothesline before twisting his arm. He climbs the turnbuckles and does his rope walk before hitting Dusty with a forearm shot off the top rope. The Undertaker stares at the younger Rhodes family member before turning back to the elder one. He literally tosses Dusty back into his own corner and Dustin tags himself in. He goes racing toward The Undertaker but the deadman doesn't sell any of the punches. Instead, The Undertaker catches Dustin with a throat chop and then sends Dustin to the ropes. Undertaker, also, bounces off the ropes and catches Dustin with a leaping clothesline! The Undertaker picks up Dustin and grabs him around the throat -- Choke Slam! Dusty comes in to save his son but only takes a Choke Slam from The Undertaker, as well! The Undertaker grabs Dustin and turns him upside down -- Tombstone Piledriver! Clips of promos that go back and forth between Slaughter and Warrior are shown during the video. Slaughter is shown firing and attacking General Adnan. The two men never get physical until this past Monday on Prime Time Wrestling during a chaotic brawl to end the show. Slaughter takes in the loud boos from this crowd in Fenway Park as he walks down the aisle and enters the ring. He calls the referee to attention and salutes the Iraqi flag that he had carried down to the ring by attendants. In contrast, the crowd goes absolutely wild when the WWF Heavyweight Champion The Ultimate Warrior comes running from the back! He slides in under the bottom rope and then goes to the rope, shaking the top rope. This has him turn his back on Sgt. Slaughter and Slaughter moves in, striking Warrior with forearm shots to the back. Warrior shrugs them off and turns back around to look Slaughter in the eyes. The Ultimate Warrior blocks a punch from Slaughter and then fires one back of his own! He punches Slaughter three straight times before bouncing off the ropes and taking down Slaughter with a clothesline! Warrior picks up Slaughter and tosses him over the top rope before standing in the center of the ring beating his chest to hoots and hollars from the crowd. All three members of the commentary team are solidly in the corner of The Ultimate Warrior. Slaughter slides back in the ring and Warrior continues his dominance. He catches Slaughter with a back body drop in the center of the ring. Warrior bounces off the ropes and hits Slaughter with a leaping shoulderblock! He picks up Slaughter and Irish whips him into the corner. The momentum shifts when Warrior goes for a corner clothesline only for Slaughter to move. Warrior crashes over the turnbuckles, striking his head on the ring post! Warrior falls back in the ring and Slaughter picks him up, dropping him with a body slam before driving his knuckles into the top of Warrior's head. Competing 'USA' and 'Warrior' chants rise from the crowd as they try to get The Ultimate Warrior back into the game. Slaughter brings Warrior to the mat with a snap mare before dropping a knee onto Warrior's forehead. Slaughter grabs Warrior and pulls his head between Slaughter's legs -- Piledriver! Roddy Piper threatens to run to the ring but he's told not to by both Vince McMahon and Gorilla Monsoon. The crowd claps and begins chants of Warrior louder and louder as The Ultimate Warrior begins to get some of that energy. Sgt. Slaughter looks shocked as The Ultimate Warrior begins lifting up to his feet with Slaughter on his back. Warrior drops backward, sandwiching Slaughter on the mat, breaking the hold. Both men lie there on the mat, obviously having a lot taken out of them in this moment. The referee begins the ten count and The Ultimate Warrior manages to grab the bottom rope and begin shaking it. He moves up to the middle rope and then the top rope. Warrior is coming back alive! Sgt. Slaughter, on the other side, manages to pull himself back up. He moves over to Warrior and attacks him from behind but, just like the start of this match, Warrior doesn't sell the forearm smashes. Instead, Warrior turns and begins attacking the Sarge! OOC UPDATE: Hey everyone. I just wanted to give an update here. I haven't had much time to really work on the Royal Rumble part of the show yet. I went to the doctor on Saturday and was given more powerful pain medicine to deal with my recurring kidney stones. For anyone who deals with these, Dilaudid(hydropmorphone) works wonders. Though it's not something you should take very often. But I am hoping to get some time to work on it soon. This diary is so very far from being over, though. I can place an actual guarantee on that. So long as the new game doesn't come out tomorrow. LOL.

AWESOME AWESOME WORK SO FAR!

Steel Cage match didn't go as planned...

Mr. Perfect is simply that.

Bring it on! Can't wait to see what you have in store for the Rumble! :D

Hey Kijar! Thanks for the response. I am glad that you enjoyed the work so far. I hope that the appearance of Stan Hansen was a huge surprise for the show. I am hoping to get the Royal Rumble up as soon as possible. I was hoping to get it up before the end of the month but I can't make any promises on that in light of the painkillers.
