They then discuss who they believe might be the enforcer for the WWF Heavyweight title match at The Wrestling Classic. Finally, Heenan sends us to the ring for our opening match, including two Heenan Family members...B -In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Mr. Perfect(B) and The Barbarian(C+) defeated The Bushwhackers(Butch-D, Luke-D-) in 5:52 when Mr. Perfect defeated Bushwhacker Luke by pinfall with a Perfect Plex. In terms of in-ring work, Mr. Perfect was head and shoulders above everyone else...C+ -In a video, Eddie Gilbert talks about his attack on Wahoo McDaniel from Prime Time Wrestling. Eddie Gilbert says that he attacked McDaniel due to McDaniel pulling him from under the ring at the Royal Rumble. Eddie Gilbert says that he has more to come after McDaniel cost him the WWF Heavyweight title. Eddie Gilbert ends the interview by saying that McDaniel is about to experience some hot stuff...C -In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Jake Roberts(B+) and Sam Houston(D-) defeated Orient Express(Tanaka-C, Kato-D+) in 6:05 when Sam Houston defeated Tanaka by pinfall with a Bulldog. In terms of in-ring work, Jake Roberts was head and shoulders above everyone else. Sam Houston was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance...B- -In a video, Rick Martel has a promo hyping his upcoming singles match with The Ultimate Warrior. Martel calls this the ultimate opportunity to earn a WWF Heavyweight title shot. He says that The Ultimate Warrior is nothing compared to him because gold belongs around the waist of The Model...B+ -In a video, Gene Okerlund hosts The Wrestling Classic Event Center. Okerlund talks about all of the matches signed for the show, including a six man tag team match featuring Power and Glory and The Warlord taking on The Rockers and The British Bulldog. He sends us to a promo with Slick, Power and Glory and The Warlord. Slick says that he has the best unit in professional wrestling today with future World Tag Team Champions Power and Glory and future WWF Heavyweight Champion The Warlord. He says that The Rockers and The British Bulldog are just blips on the radar for his group. They are just stepping stones to greatness for this jive soul bro. Slick says that at The Wrestling Classic there will be just another victory for his men and you can believe that...C+ -In a superb match, The Ultimate Warrior(B) defeated Rick Martel(B-) in 11:56 by pinfall with a Running Splash...B+ -Having picked up the victory, The Ultimate Warrior celebrates in the ring. During this celebration, Randy Savage rushes down to the ring and slides inside, looking across toward The Ultimate Warrior. The two men stare each other down with the crowd getting hotter and hotter as they prepare for a fight between the two men who will currently meet at WrestleMania VII. As they move in, officials come running in from the back to break things up. We have the two men who will fight for the top two singles titles in the world at WrestleMania VII. On one side, we have the man who will fight for the WWF Heavyweight title in The Macho King Randy Savage. He is the man who won the Royal Rumble and will face Hulk Hogan at The Wrestling Classic. Fighting him on this night is the number one contender to Mr. Perfect's WWF Intercontinental title, Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat! These two men matched up at WrestleMania III where Steamboat pinned Savage and took the Intercontinental title. Many consider this to be the best match in the history of WWF and WrestleMania. Can the two of them live up to their last match and can Randy Savage avenge this loss? Make sure you tune in to find out. -It has, also, been announced that we will see a contract signing for the WWF Heavyweight title match at The Wrestling Classic. This contract signing will be overseen by WWF President Jack Tunney. It will, of course, be between the current WWF Heavyweight Champion The Ultimate Warrior and his challenger at The Wrestling Classic, Sgt. Slaughter. Slaughter earned this match after the controversy of his match with Warrior at The Royal Rumble. Warrior pinned Slaughter but Slaughter's foot was on the bottom rope during the pinfall. This lead Jack Tunney to make this rematch. Tunney, also, said that there will be a special enforcer at ringside for this match. He will announce this enforcer during the contract signing. There is much speculation as to who this enforcer will be. One way to find out is to tune in to the USA network for Prime Time Wrestling. -The first hour main event will also be huge for the fans as we see men who will be facing off in tag team action at WrestleMania VII. On one side we have former WWWF World Heavyweight Champion Ivan Koloff. The man known as The Russian Bear was one of the survivors of the tag team battle royal last week, along with his nephew Nikita Koloff. That win gave them the WWF World Tag Team title match at WrestleMania VII against the current champions The Hart Foundation. Speaking of the current champions, Ivan Koloff will be taking on one half of the current champions, Bret Hart. The man known as The Hitman has been one half of the tag team champions since SummerSlam last year. Hart is known as a great technical wrestler and the Excellence of Execution but can his technical wrestling overcome the power of The Russian Bear? Comments: I could this see this going either way depending which team is planned to win the title match and if their partners will go against each other´s in next show. But while I think Bret is more likely to win, I could see Ivan going over and feel that it would be pretty strong signal on Russians being a real threat to Foundation if that happens so I go with Ivan this time.

In this rematch from WrestleMania V, Savage will be looking to get a pinfall victory over Hogan for the very first time here in the WWF. Hogan will be looking for revenge from the Royal Rumble where these were the last two men left and Savage eliminated Hogan to win the Royal Rumble. Either way, The Macho King will be looking for momentum as he heads toward his WrestleMania title match. -Speaking of the WWF Heavyweight title, there will also be a WWF Heavyweight title defense as The Ultimate Warrior defends against Sgt. Slaughter. This is a rematch from the Royal Rumble last month where The Ultimate Warrior pinned Slaughter with Slaughter's foot on the bottom rope. The referee missed the foot and awarded the victory to Warrior. The next night Jack Tunney announced this rematch at The Wrestling Classic with two referees. What he didn't announce at the time was that one of those special guest referees will be none other than Andre The Giant! Andre will be positioned outside the ring as an enforcer of the rules. The winner of this bout will head to WrestleMania as the WWF Heavyweight Champion to take on The Macho King Randy Savage. Make sure you tune in to find out who that man will be. -One man, however, will not be around the WWF at WrestleMania. There will be a six man tag team match at The Wrestling Classic featuring three members of The Heenan Family, Mr. Perfect, The Barbarian and a third mystery man, taking on Ricky Steamboat, Big Bossman and Tito Santana! Announced on WWF Superstars twenty four hours before this show, the loser of the fall of this match will be fired from the WWF. We could see the Intercontinental title get vacated when Mr. Perfect is fired. We could see the match at WrestleMania get changed if Ricky Steamboat loses and he is fired. The Barbarian has been here for three years but he could be sent packing if he loses the fall. Big Bossman could do some hard time and be sent back to Georgia if he loses the fall. A mystery third man could join The Heenan Family one night and be sent packing on the same night. Finally, Tito Santana could be the man leaving the WWF after nine years here in the promotion if he loses the fall. One man will be gone. Make sure you tune in and find out who that is. -The battle for Virgil will take place on this night. We will see The Million Dollar Man take on The Hot Rod Roddy Piper to determine which contract Virgil will sign. Virgil became 'unemployed' at the Royal Rumble when he turned on his benefactor, Ted DiBiase, and sent DiBiase over the top rope with a clothesline. The following night, Roddy Piper offered Virgil a contract with the WWF but DiBiase interrupted and offered to let bygones be bygones and bring Virgil back under contract with him. Virgil has been torn between the two offers but he will make that decision at The Wrestling Classic. It has been announced that Virgil will be the special guest referee for this match. Will he side with his old benefactor or will he become his own man and sign his own contract with the WWF? While that didn't go his way, he has signed a full time contract here to rejoin the promotion. Hey everyone, I wanted to give a little update here since it's been over a week since the predictions started. I am more than halfway through with writing up the card so I do expect it to be up sometime this week barring real life, of course. I have really enjoyed writing the card and I hope that it shows and that everyone feels it was worth the wait. With that said, you have a bit more time to get in predictions and some fun fan signs if you decide you want to create some. For those who don't know what they are, they are signs that would be seen in the crowd. I add them in to the writing for a little bit of realism. Sam Houston is quick to want to start the match and Martel volunteers Hansen to start for the other side. The crowd members are on their feet as the two men lock up to begin the in ring action here at The Wrestling Classic. As you might expect, you don't exactly get a wrestling classic with an eight man tag team match. The match starts a little crazy as early on all eight men fight in the ring before things settle down. Bret Hart gets caught in no man's land and is the subject of frequent double teams by The Russians. Other than The Russians themselves, there's not a lot of chemistry between that side of things as Rick Martel keeps out of the ring unless his team has the decided advantage. It is during one of these moments that Martel is in the ring that The Hitman manages to avoid a clothesline and catch Martel with a double clothesline sending both men to the mat. Hart manages to crawl to his corner and he tags out to his partner The Anvil as Martel manages to tag in The Russian Nightmare. Neidhart and Nikita meet in the ring and exchange punches. Neidhart gets the advantage and The Anvil knocks Nikita to the mat! Neidhart rushes over and knocks Ivan Koloff off the apron but gets tagged with a right hand by Stan Hansen. Neidhart staggers around to take a kick to the gut by Nikita and a Russian Sickle -- NO! Neidhart ducks the Russian Sickle attempt and clotheslines Nikita over the top rope! As Nikita is going over, he tags in Rick Martel, who is NOT happy to be in the ring with Neidhart. Martel looks to quickly tag out but Stan Hansen and Ivan Koloff drop off the apron. Hansen walks toward the back as Ivan checks on Nikita, who seems to be legitimately hurt. Ivan helps Nikita to the back as Martel is stuck going four on one. The Hart Foundation hit him with the Hart Attack clothesline and then tag in Jake The Snake. A DDT chant rings through the crowd and Roberts gives them what they want, dropping Martel with the DDT in the center of the ring. Jake Roberts exits the ring and grabs a bottle of water from the timekeeper before sliding back inside the ring. The Snake opens the water, takes a sip and then pours it on Martel to wake him up! Martel flails a moment as he wakes up and then looks absolutely horrified as Sam Houston drops Damian on top of him! Martel wiggles almost as much as the snake, trying to get himself free. Finally, The Model manages to get out from underneath the snake before rolling out of the ring and running toward the back. Sam Houston has done exactly what he said he would do tonight and the crowd absolutely loves him for it! Jake Roberts and Sam Houston raise each other's arms in the center of the ring. They not only scored the victory tonight but they got a second victory by placing Damian on top of The Model. Roberts grabs Damian and puts the snake over his shoulders before the two men and the snake exit the ring and head toward the back. The two wrestlers meet in the center of the ring with Ted DiBiase motioning for Piper to lay down on the mat. DiBiase says that he will give Piper more money than he could ever dream of. The crowd boos as Piper lowers to his knees and then onto his back. DiBiase smiles and does his evil laugh toward Virgil before lowering down and laying with his back on Piper: One, Two, Piper shifts his weight, bringing DiBiase's shoulders to the mat in a roll-up: OneTwo, Kickout! Piper and DiBiase pop back up to their feet with DiBiase shoving Piper, yelling at him that he's a fool. In response, Piper pokes DiBiase in the eye, telling him that he's blind now. DiBiase staggers around and Piper drops to all fours with DiBiase tripping right over him! The match becomes a little more serious as we move forward with DiBiase exiting the ring and being chased by Piper. DiBiase slides back in and then strikes Piper with a knee to the ribs when Piper comes back in. DiBiase takes full control over the match for the next few minutes, including striking Piper with a flying double axehandle off the second turnbuckle and a belly-to-back suplex that scores him a two count. DiBiase gets up and yells at Virgil, telling him to count faster but Virgil simply refuses.] [Moving forward, Ted DiBiase grabs Roddy Piper and begins choking him on the middle rope with Virgil beginning the five count. DiBiase doesn't break before the five count so Virgil steps in and pulls him off, shoving DiBiase and threatening him with a DQ. DiBiase just laughs and stalks back toward Piper. DiBiase drags Piper to the center of the ring as the crowd begins chanting for a comeback from the Rowdy Scotsman. DiBiase sets up Piper for a vertical suplex but Piper blocks it! Piper shifts and catches DiBiase with a vertical suplex of his own! Both men lie on the mat as Virgil begins the count. He is taking his time on this count because he doesn't want the match to end in a draw. What would happen with his contract then? Both men slowly get up to their feet and meet in the center of the ring exchanging punches. Piper definitely seems to be getting worn out at this point in time with DiBiase seemingly having a little bit more left in the tank. DiBiase goes for the Million Dollar Dream but Piper blocks him from getting it completely hooked in. Piper catches DiBiase with a headbutt that seems to rock both men. DiBiase fires back with a running knee to Piper, knocking The Hot Rod down to the mat. DiBiase turns and tells Virgil to make the three count in this manner. He claps his hands quickly three times and then shoves Virgil! Virgil's face twists in anger and he shoves DiBiase in return! DiBiase staggers backward right into a Sleeper from Roddy Piper! DiBiase's eyes go wide as Piper has the Sleeper locked in completely in the center of the ring! DiBiase struggles but slowly begins to drift in the hold. Piper seems to be thinking about something else, though. He walks over to DiBiase's corner and grabs a one hundred dollar bill! He holds it up to cheers from the crowd and tells Virgil that he will get the honors for this one. He hands over the bill and Virgil walks over to the fallen body of his former owner. Virgil takes a knee and then places the bill square in the mouth of The Million Dollar Man! This draws a huge cheer from the crowd! Virgil stands up and raises his arms again as he stands beside Roddy Piper. Slick did some good work at ringside during this match, using an early distraction of Marty Jannetty to get him caught in the corner of Power and Glory and The Warlord. The big man, The Warlord, shows his power on Jannetty when he grabs him in a bear hug and then runs him back-first into a neutral corner. Jannetty drops to his knees and a stomp to the head by The Warlord sends him right down to the mat. The Warlord bounces off the ropes and hits a leaping elbow drop, making the cover but it's broken up by The British Bulldog and a stomp to the back. The Warlord gets back up and tags in Hercules, who comes in and catches Jannetty with a big boot to the face. Hercules picks up Jannetty and sets him up on the top turnbuckle. He climbs up, setting him up for a superplex but Jannetty blocks it! Jannetty throws two punches before shoving Hercules off the top! Jannetty drops down and forward rolls under Hercules, leaping and tagging in The British Bulldog! Bulldog rushes in and catches Hercules with a powerful clothesline and then a punch to knock The Warlord off the apron. Bulldog lifts Hercules on his shoulder but Hercules slips off the back, shoving Bulldog chest-first into the corner! Hercules tags in Paul Roma and goes for a German suplex on Bulldog but Bulldog blocks and slips around behind, leaping backward and tagging in Shawn Michaels! Michaels rushes in and catches Hercules with a knee to the back, sending him into the turnbuckle and crotching Roma! The British Bulldog and Marty Jannetty enter the ring with Bulldog battling The Warlord in and then out of the ring. Andre stands at ringside with his arms crossed over his chest as Slaughter and then Warrior make their entrances. Slaughter has the Iraqi flag in his corner, while Warrior has the WWF Heavyweight title. Earl Hebner is the referee assigned to this match inside the ring, while Andre is the second referee outside the ring. The two men meet in the center of the ring as the bell sounds and begin jawwing at one another. Slaughter gives Warrior a mock salute and Warrior slaps the taste out of Slaughter's mouth! The crowd cheers the slap but Slaughter throws a punch! Warrior throws a punch! The two men begin exchanging blows in the center of the ring! Warrior starts getting control, knocking Slaughter to the mat! Slaughter rolls out of the ring with Monsoon calling him a coward as he walks around before coming face-to-face with Andre The Giant. Andre smiles and Slaughter turns and slides back in the ring instead of doing battle with Andre. Warrior's control comes to an end when Slaughter rakes his face and then the Sarge begins focusing on the back of The Ultimate Warrior. Slaughter drops Warrior with a backbreaker in the center of the ring and makes the cover, only scoring a one count before Warrior slips out the back door. Slaughter picks up Warrior and drives him back to the mat with a body slam before dropping an elbow. Slaughter makes the cover again but only gets a two count this time. The match moves forward and around the eight minute mark Slaughter ducks a clothesline attempt by Warrior and Earl Hebner is taken out by the clothesline! Slaughter strikes Warrior with a knee to the back and he sees Andre helping to slide Earl Hebner out of the ring. With both men's backs turned, Slaughter grabs the Iraqi flag and strikes Warrior with the flag! He hits him two more times across the back before putting the flag back in his corner as Andre enters the ring as the second referee. Slaughter grabs Warrior and locks on the Camel Clutch in the center of the ring! Both men lie on the mat as Andre The Giant begins a ten count. Slaughter manages to reach his feet first and he puts his finger in Andre's face before turning back to The Ultimate Warrior. Slaughter strikes The Warrior with a forearm shot to the back but Warrior grabs the bottom rope and begins to shake. His entire body begins to vibrate with the warriors in the arena giving him energy. Slaughter strikes The Warrior again and The Warrior gets to the second rope. Another shot and Warrior is on his feet. He begins moving around the ring taking in the strength from the warriors in the audience. He finally blocks a forearm shot and throws a punch! Warrior bounces off the ropes and takes down Slaughter with a clothesline! Warrior moves around the ring and hits another clothesline! The fans are on their feet as The Ultimate Warrior has regained control of the match. The Ultimate Warrior strikes Sgt. Slaughter with a leaping shoulderblock! A 'USA' chant fills the arena as Slaughter stands there for a moment. He walks over and grabs the Iraqi flag as Andre The Giant begins to leave the ring. Slaughter rushes back over to Andre and strikes him with the flag on the back! Slaughter stays behind Andre, hitting him again and again with the flag before choking him with the staff from behind! He forces Andre The Giant to the mat and then stomps on him with Gorilla Monsoon decrying this as a Pearl Harbor Job on Andre. Slaughter locks Andre in the Camel Clutch! The crowd boos as Slaughter is in complete control. Vince McMahon reminds everyone that Andre has back issues and that is what caused him to leave the World Wrestling Federation as an active competitor. Slaughter leans back in the hold before some familiar music begins to play. He picks up Slaughter and brings him back to the mat with a body slam! Hogan cups his ear to the crowd, getting a loud ovation before pointing to the fallen Slaughter. Hogan bounces off the ropes and Slaughter quickly rolls out of the ring, escaping further punishment. Hogan grabs the flag and breaks the staff over his knee! He tosses the flag and staff over the top rope to Slaughter as Slaughter backs his way toward the back. Then Hogan turns toward Andre The Giant and points to him. Hogan walks over and helps Andre reach his feet. These two men have been the best of friends and the best of enemies. Hogan defeated Andre at WrestleMania III. Hogan raises the arm of Andre The Giant in the center of the ring! Hogan begins posing to the delight of the crowd. Gorilla Monsoon says that Hogan is the greatest professional athlete in the world today! Andre does a few poses with Hogan in the center of the ring. The two men celebrate together with Hogan cupping his ear and getting even more cheers from this crowd. Hogan cups his ear to all four sides and then points to Andre! Whoever loses the fall is removed from the WWF! On one side, we have The Heenan Family, Mr. Perfect, The Barbarian and 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff! On the other side, we have Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, Big Bossman and Tito Santana! We get a near fall in the first thirty seconds when Tito Santana rolls Mr. Perfect into a small package but Perfect slips out the back door right before the three count. Santana catches Perfect with an arm drag and then a scoop slam before Perfect rolls out of the ring to confer with The Weasel, err, The Brain. Perfect rolls back in the ring and tags in The Barbarian. Santana tags in Ricky Steamboat. The two men lock up and The Barbarian drives Steamboat toward a corner but Steamboat reverses it at the last moment, backing The Barbarian in the corner. Steamboat lights up The Barbarian's chest with chops before ducking a clothesline attempt and sending The Barbarian flying with an arm drag! Steamboat with a dropkick that knocks The Barbarian back against the ropes! Big Bossman comes in and Bossman and Steamboat send The Barbarian over the top rope with a double clothesline! In come Mr. Perfect and Paul Orndorff! Tito Santana joins the fray and The Heenan Family are sent flying from the ring, leaving only Steamboat, Bossman and Santana standing tall.] [The Barbarian reaches in the ring and grabs Ricky Steamboat by the ankles, pulling him out of the ring and running him into the barricade! The crowd boos as The Barbarian has control now of The Dragon. The Barbarian runs Steamboat into the ring post before tossing him back in the ring and then joining him inside before they can get counted out. The Barbarian places two stomps on the back of Steamboat's head and then tags in Mr. Perfect. Perfect moves in and picks up Steamboat, bringing him down with a snap mare. He backs into the corner and then catches Steamboat with a rolling neck snap. Perfect drags Steamboat into the corner of The Heenan Family and the next several minutes is a true beat down of the number one contender to the WWF Intercontinental title. But Steamboat shows his heart as he refuses to be pinned despite the beating he is taking. Finally, the momentum shifts when The Barbarian lifts Steamboat but Steamboat manages to swing around behind The Barbarian and bring him down with a crucifix to score a two count. Steamboat rolls to the corner and tags in Tito Santana as The Barbarian tags in Paul Orndorff! Mr. Wonderful rushes in but takes a clothesline from Santana! Santana catches Orndorff with a knee to the gut and then a double underhook suplex! Santana tags in Big Bossman and they do a quickly double team of Orndorff that brings in Mr. Perfect and The Barbarian! All six men do battle in the ring with Big Bossman catching Mr. Perfect with a Boss Man Slam! Could the WWF Intercontinental Champion be leaving the WWF tonight? He has been here for almost three years and won at the Survivor Series 1990 in a team with Hulk Hogan, Jim Duggan and Tugboat. Bossman slowly pulls himself to his feet and walks over to his corner. He picks up the handcuffs and nightstick and swings the nightstick in his hand. A 'Bossman' chant begins in some corners of the crowd as he stands there for a moment. His music cues up and Bossman shakes his head. He is leaving the WWF but not professional wrestling, right? Bossman slowly moves to the ropes and exits the ring. He begins high fiving the fans in the front row, walking around the ring and then back toward the back. He pauses at the top of the ramp and raises the nightstick to some cheers from the crowd. The man looks Muraco up and down and doesn't look impressed by The Rock.] [Don Muraco:] "I think we have a taker. Please introduce yourself." [Gary Albright:] "My name is Gary Albright. For those who don't know, I am the greatest wrestler in the history of the University of Nebraska with 38 falls in one season. I am here to prove that I am not only the greatest wrestler but the strongest when I take you on, Rock." [Don Muraco:] "Alright, Gary. Welcome to the World Wrestling Federation and welcome to this weightlifting competition. Is there anyone else?" [For some reason, '2001' begins to play over the speaker system in the gym. Muraco and Albright look confused but in walks 'The Nature Boy' Buddy Landel! Landel gives a strut toward the two men but doesn't quite make it and has to add a couple of struts in there to get into position. Landel foregoes the talking and walks right up to the weight bench. He sits down, lays down and does ten repetitions with two weights on each side. Albright smirks and takes over the position, adding a third weight on either side. Albright does ten reps and then stands back, letting Muraco take over. Muraco adds more weight until there are five on both sides. Muraco begins and gets to seven before Landel strikes him in the knee with a dumbbell! Muraco drops the weight on his chest and then it gets sent to the side. Landel continues his assault on the knee of Muraco until security steps in and pulls Landel away. McDaniel enters the ring and is immediately set upon by Gilbert. Gilbert knocks McDaniel back in the corner and throws some hard punches before taking him out and dropping him to the mat with a body slam. This particular match was meant to cool down the crowd a little bit and it seemed to do it's job with a lot of restholds during the contest. The match was very formulaic with McDaniel getting the brief comeback early before Gilbert takes control throughout much of the match. The man known as Hot Stuff scores a near fall following a bulldog on McDaniel but the crowd gets behind Wahoo. The Native American responds by fighting his way back to his feet and gaining control. McDaniel takes Gilbert to the mat and goes for the Indian Deathlock but Gilbert grabs the referee and yanks him over. The referee is stuck between McDaniel and Gilbert for a moment, dazed. McDaniel checks on the referee as Gilbert reaches into his trunks and pulls something out. McDaniel turns his attention back to Gilbert and takes a right hand to the head! McDaniel comes over and shoves Gilbert. Gilbert fires back with a literal FIREBALL! The fireball burns the face of McDaniel and he drops to the mat, rocking back and forth in pain. McDaniel covers his face, crying out from the pain of the fireball as Eddie Gilbert just smiles in the background. The referee checks on McDaniel and calls for an EMT to come out and help the burn victim. Gilbert starts to leave the ring and then looks down at the Native American headdress! Gorilla Monsoon cries foul, yelling from the announce booth that Gilbert wouldn't dare. Hot Stuff grabs the Native American headdress and exits the ring, walking to the back as we have to have Wahoo McDaniel stretchered from the ring. What a horrible way to continue this Wrestling Classic. Randy, what kind of strategy do you have planned for tonight to finally secure that pinfall victory over Hulk Hogan?" [Randy Savage:] "Hulk Hogan, I can remember way back when at a time when The MegaPowers were bonded, yeah. I can remember a time when I could actually trust you to watch my back. Those days are gone, dig it? You've always made eyes at every woman I've ever loved, including this woman, Sensational Queen Sherri. But Sherri's not the type to stray away from her Macho King." [Gene Okerlund:] "Wait a second, are you saying that Hulk Hogan has eyes for Sherri?" [sensational Queen Sherri:] "And why wouldn't he? I am the most beautiful woman in the World Wrestling Federation. There's a reason why I am the Queen. But there's also a reason why I am with this man. He is going to bring his woman gold at WrestleMania and a victory tonight." [Randy Savage:] "That's right, Sherri, yeah. Tonight, Hulk Hogan, you're stepping in the ring with a changed man. They are surrounded by several muscular men who are throwing rose petals in front of them so that each step the King and Queen take is on the rose petals and not on the floor. When they reach the ring, one of the muscular men holds the ropes open and in walks The Macho King. Randy Savage twirls his finger in the air before moving back to the ropes and dismissing the men. Savage holds the ropes open and in walks his Sensational Queen Sherri. The man known as The Macho King stands in the center of the ring and has Sherri remove his robe and sunglasses. She also has his sceptor in hand as she exits the ring and stands in his corner. Pomp and Circumstances fades out and 'Real American' pumps through the arena in Portland, Oregon. The crowd rises with a huge pop! The cameras focus on the entrance and out walks Hulk Hogan! Gorilla Monsoon says that The Immortal Hulk Hogan looks as good as he's ever seen him! Hogan high fives the fans on his way to the ring, taking the time to walk all the way around the ring before stepping up the stairs and entering the ring. As Savage watches from his corner, Hogan moves to the center of the ring and tears off the red and yellow shirt. He cups his ear to the crowd, getting a good 'Hogan' chant started by those in attendance. Howard Finkel does the ring introductions, including tonight's referee, Earl Hebner, who has recovered from what happened to him earlier. Hebner calls for the bell and this match is on!] [Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan meet in the center of the ring and lock up. Hogan turns the lock up into a side headlock, wrenching the neck of The Macho King. After about ten seconds, Savage manages to pull Hogan to the ropes, shooting Hogan off to the opposite side. Hogan comes back with a shoulderblock, knocking Savage not only to the mat but sending him flying to the corner. Savage sits in the corner for a moment looking up at Hogan before pulling himself to his feet. Savage circles around Hogan briefly before locking up with him again. Hogan pushes the lock up to a corner where the referee calls for a clean break. Hogan is willing but Savage slaps Hogan! Hogan moves in and Savage ducks, swinging Hogan around in the corner. Savage throws some quick punches and then goes for a vertical suplex. Hogan blocks it and then reverses it, lifting Savage up in the air. Hogan holds Savage up, his blood rushing to his head before Hogan drops Savage with the suplex. Hogan makes a cover but only gets a one and a half count before Savage has his shoulder up. Hogan maintains control for the next several minutes but the momentum turns when he goes to bounce off the ropes and Sherri grabs his ankle. It doesn't trip him but it does distract him as he turns to admonish Sherri. With Hogan's back turned, Savage moves in and catches him with a high knee to the back, sending Hogan through the ropes to the floor. Savage joins him outside the ring and rams him against the guardrail, choking him on the top of the guardrail. This causes the referee to leave the ring and warn Savage, threatening to disqualify him. Savage breaks from Hogan and then grabs him, running him face-first into the ring post as Sensational Queen Sherri distracts referee Earl Hebner. Savage picks up Hogan and brings him down with a body slam outside the ring! Savage picks up Hogan and rolls him in the ring before heading to the top turnbuckle. He perches and waits for Hogan to reach his feet -- Flying Double Axehandle! Savage makes the cover as Earl Hebner slides back in the ring:] [....1.... ....2.... ..Kickout!] [The crowd cheers as Hulk Hogan manages to kick out! A desperate and angry Macho King looks to the referee, who signals that it was only a two count. Randy Savage claps his hands together three times as though showing the referee how it's done before he turns back to Hogan. He picks up The Immortal and brings him over with a vertical suplex before dropping a standing elbow drop on Hogan. Savage makes another cover: One, Two, Shoulder Up! Savage is still unable to get the pin as a 'Hogan' chant breaks out among the crowd here in Portland. Savage tosses Hogan out of the ring and joins him out there. Sensational Queen Sherri gets on the apron, getting the attention of the referee once again. With the referee distracted, Savage grabs a cable from one of the cameras and uses it to choke Hogan! Vince McMahon, at the announce table, yells about the cheating that Savage is doing in this match. Savage breaks the choking before Sherri gets off the apron. He pulls up Hogan and tosses him back in the ring before joining him. For another few minutes, Savage has control and uses a couple of restholds during this time. Savage has Hogan down on the mat and he signals for the top turnbuckle. He begins to ascend and looks down at the fallen Immortal. Savage raises his arms straight up in the air and leaps with the Flying Elbow Drop -- MISSES! Hogan rolled out of the way and gets to his knees, shaking his head! Hogan stares at the fallen Randy Savage, waiting as The Macho King gets to his feet and charges Hogan. Savage with a punch but Hogan shakes his head. Another punch! Another! Hogan pushes up to his feet and then points at Savage, wagging his finger. Hogan blocks a Savage punch and returns one! A second punch! A third punch! Hogan sends Savage to the ropes -- Big Boot! Hogan bounces off the ropes -- Leg Drop! He makes the cover:] [....1.... ....2.... ....3?] [While there should have been a three count, there wasn't because Sensational Queen Sherri jumped up on the apron and distracted referee Earl Hebner. Hulk Hogan lies on top of Randy Savage for at least a five count before he realizes that the referee is distracted. Hogan gets up to his feet and walks over to Sherri. He points at her, wagging his finger at the Sensational Queen. Sherri keeps Hogan and the referee distracted as The Macho King begins to recover. Savage grabs the ropes and pulls himself up to his feet. He charges in behind Hogan and strikes with a double sledge to the back. Sherri drops off the apron as Savage grabs Hogan by the top of the head. He rushes toward the ropes and leaps over the top rope, bringing Hogan's throat down on the top rope. Hogan bounces back and onto the mat as Savage rolls back in. Savage picks up Hogan and tucks him between his legs -- Piledriver! This move puts Hogan down on the mat as Savage looks toward the turnbuckle. Savage moves slowly toward the turnbuckle, climbing to the top. He looks down at Hogan and raises his arms in the air -- Flying Elbow Drop! This one connects! Savage thinks about going for the pin but, instead, goes back to the top turnbuckle. He leaps and connects with a second Flying Elbow Drop! He pops back up and heads to the top turnbuckle for a third time. He leaps -- a third Flying Elbow Drop connects on Hogan! I have to admit that I am a big Eddie Gilbert fan so it is a little bit more difficult for me to punish him, especially given the plans that I have for him. Though, if this continues, I will have no choice. I'm glad you're enjoying things so far. I really am enjoying this diary as well. The lessened workload for the television shows is definitely a blessing and is helping me keep the diary going at a semi-decent pace.

Hulk Hogan will be teaming with long-time friend and rival Andre The Giant to take on Hogan's WrestleMania opponent: Sgt. Slaughter and Hogan's long-time rival Earthquake! Andre will be looking for revenge on Slaughter after Slaughter's attack on him last night at The Wrestling Classic. -The number one contender to the WWF Heavyweight title, Randy Savage, will also be in action in the opening bout this evening. He will take on Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine. Valentine is a long-time veteran of the ring and definitely no slouch in the ring. He is a former World Tag Team Champion and Intercontinental Champion. So he will be looking to do a number on Savage with his Hammer elbow and the Figure 4 Leglock. But Savage will be looking to drop that Flying Elbow Drop to score the victory. Only one man can walk away with the win.
