Luckily, she did great work at ringside, and we had good chemistry as a wrestler/manager pairing! Hopefully Ms Quine and Cherry thought the same, and maybe this could become a regular thing?</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, the match was as bad as my match with Mary last month, I clearly have a lot of work to do before I make an impact as a singles competitor. After 8 minutes and 26 seconds, I won with my Newton's Cradle finisher for the pin! Even though wrestling is predetermined and I knew I was going to be winning, I was still overcome with emotion at my first pinfall of the year!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-e.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/p0Mswpv/grade-e.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Opening Segment</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/LnCczxZ/Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Sara-Marie-York.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/W2tkq5N/Sara-Marie-York.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Joanne Rodriguez came out to the ring and wasted no time inviting Sara Marie York to join her. I don't think so..."</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Cherry-Bomb.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/dkt5hRM/Cherry-Bomb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Now Cherry Bomb's music hit, and she came out onto the stage!</em></p><p> </p><p> I was glued to the backstage monitor by this point!</p><p> </p><p> "I don't know if you guys noticed, but every Femme Fatale Championship match this year has featured some combination of Joanne Rodriguez and The A-List! Something else you may have noticed, is Catherine Quine isn't at the announce desk tonight... Hi Grace!...</p><p> </p><p> "So now she can't show her blatant bias against me, and I want what I deserve: a shot at the Femme Fatale Championship, tonight!"</p><p> </p><p> Sara grabbed Joanne's microphone and finally spoke up. "So, let me get this straight. You (pointing to Joanne) want another shot at me? And you (pointing to Demelza) want me to beat you again, just like last month? And you (pointing up the ramp at Cherry) think that, because you and your new sidekick hurt Catherine Quine, you suddenly jump to the front of the line?</p><p> </p><p> "Well, let's settle this the old-fashioned way: why don't you three fight for it? Tonight, main event, J-Ro vs Demelza Wade vs Cherry Bomb, and the winner is the number one contender for this!"</p><p> </p><p> Sara lifted the Femme Fatale Championship in the air, and Joanne grabbed her mic back!</p><p> </p><p> "You know what? That sounds like a great idea! When I'm done with these two, I'm taking your title and continuing my quest to prove that we here in AAA are every bit as good as the men in America's top promotions!"</p><p> </p><p> That first snippet of Joanne's "equality fighter" gimmick got a very good reaction from the crowd, and the girls headed to the back, keeping a safe distance from each other until they were behind the curtain.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-c.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/xzJZ3c4/grade-c.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>6 Woman Tag Team Grudge Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Ellie-May-Walton.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/pR442nX/Ellie-May-Walton.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Selina-Svelte.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/JsDZ75t/Selina-Svelte.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Talia-Quinzel.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/gWRWMh9/Talia-Quinzel.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Paige-Croft.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Lrg2hSf/Paige-Croft.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Simony-Sentinel.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Dt0GXpV/Simony-Sentinel.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Suzanne-Brazzle.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/SBhzmXC/Suzanne-Brazzle.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>The Uprising (Ellie May Walton, Selina Svelte & Talia Quinzel) vs Paige Croft, Simony Sentinel & Suzanne Brazzle</em></p><p> </p><p> This match was a wild brawl from the start. Selina and Paige had long-standing issues (although their backstage stuff had never reared its head after the first incident), Talia and Suzi had been going at it over the Top Contender's Championship, and now this new faction, The Uprising, had been rubbing people up the wrong way with interference and post-match assaults.</p><p> </p><p> Eventually, it settled into a standard 6 Woman Tag, with the "heels" isolating Simony for several minutes until she managed to break free and get the "hot tag" to Suzi, who came in like a house on fire! She was always great, but she carried herself differently now she was Top Contender's Champion.</p><p> </p><p> Eventually, the numbers got the better of her, and she was lucky to have Paige sneak a blind tag in, which almost netted the "faces" the win! In the long-term, all it did was infuriate The Uprising, and eventually, after 12 minutes and 27 seconds, the referee stopped the match because Selina was beating Paige so badly she couldn't respond, and showing no sign of even attempting to win the match.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-eplus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Jpdh7qZ/grade-eplus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The Uprising left the ring, pleased with their handiwork. Paige really "sold" the beatdown, even getting stretchered out by some off-duty paramedics Ms Quine had given free tickets in exchange for this favour. Suzi came through the curtain, and Talia barged back out the other way moments later!</p><p> </p><p> She grabbed Simony, who was still on the stage with Paige and the paramedics, and Powerbombed her <strong><em>through</em></strong> the stage! I had no idea they had rigged up part of the stage to give way, so I was genuinely shocked when it happened!</p><p> </p><p> The paramedics stretchered Paige through the curtain, she hopped off, they switched positions and who was wearing a cap, and took the empty stretcher out for Simony. Hey, it wasn't perfect, but we're a low-budget operation!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-fplus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/RjPf3n9/grade-fplus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Out next was a face AAA fans hadn't seen in a long time!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Farrah-Hesketh.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/M70D24b/Farrah-Hesketh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>It had been six years since Farrah Hesketh appeared for AAA!</em></p><p> </p><p> "Well, well, well... look who it is! I wish I could say I'm happy to be back, but being here only reminds me why I chose to leave and start my own company, far away from you people!</p><p> </p><p> "This isn't a nice little trip down Memory Lane for me, this trip is strictly business! This rotten promotion is trying to steal one of my wrestlers, and I'm here to make sure it doesn't happen!</p><p> </p><p> "But, I'm a fair woman, and I know how the wrestling business works, so let's say we take Ava Anderson's QAW contract, which is in this briefcase, and suspend it above the ring! If I retrieve it, I retain her services in Texas. If she wins, she can rip up her contract and come and work here... although why she'd want to is beyond me..."</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-eplus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Jpdh7qZ/grade-eplus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ladder Match For Ava Anderson's Contract</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Ava-Anderson.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/zswgPPJ/Ava-Anderson.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Farrah-Hesketh.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/M70D24b/Farrah-Hesketh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Ava Anderson vs Farrah Hesketh</em></p><p> </p><p> Wow, Farrah did such a good job of riling the crowd up, I almost believed what she was saying! Of course, the truth was that AAA and QAW, while not allies, were certainly far from enemies. In fact, Farrah had decided not to keep Ava on in QAW, Ms Quine had heard and contacted Farrah about doing a one-off match to give her a head-start here.</p><p> </p><p> Farrah was off her game, and the 17 minute 52 second match was far too long for her fitness levels, but who could blame her? She wasn't a wrestler any more. Ava's gimmick seemed to be pretty much having no gimmick, which went over poorly with our audience, so maybe that'll need a rethink, too.</p><p> </p><p> Aaaaanyway, the match ended when Ava grabbed the briefcase, making her officially a member of our roster!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-eminus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/LS8Mx9h/grade-eminus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Tag Team Championship Rematch</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Debbie-Rose.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/JsTPdtc/Debbie-Rose.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Kate-Lilly.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/xM7frWr/Kate-Lilly.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Jessica-Bunny.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/7rw7yqH/Jessica-Bunny.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Katherine-Goodlooks.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/cCZxP0J/Katherine-Goodlooks.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly vs Jessica Bunny & Katherine Goodlooks</em></p><p> </p><p> The show thus far hadn't exactly set the crowd on fire, so these girls' plan to cool them down a little before the announced main event didn't go great. The match played out like a fairly standard tag team match until the 15:55 mark, when the referee was forced to throw it out as The Uprising attacked all four women!</p><p> </p><p> There was even an unexpected moment when Lilly & Rose attempted to save Good Lookin' Bunny from The Uprising's assault, maybe hinting at a future "face" turn? Alas, eventually the only women left standing were Ellie, Selina and Talia, as they soaked in the boos of the crowd.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-dminus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/R4D70qB/grade-dminus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> When they came through the curtain, Jessica was angry because Kate apparently almost hurt her with a "botched" move. Hopefully this doesn't affect their future performances, as Lilly & Rose and Good Lookin' Bunny are probably our top two tag teams at the moment!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Top Contender For The AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Cherry-Bomb.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/dkt5hRM/Cherry-Bomb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Demelza-Wade.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/M1LPSSp/Demelza-Wade.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/LnCczxZ/Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Cherry Bomb vs Demelza Wade vs Joanne Rodriguez</em></p><p> </p><p> The planned main event went over half an hour, and none of the girls seemed tired by the end! The match started off, as many probably expected, with Cherry and Demelza teaming up to beat down Joanne, even getting to the point that Cherry held Joanne for a Superkick from Demelza!</p><p> </p><p> But that's where the teamwork broke down. With Joanne down, both women wanted to go for the pin, but this wasn't an elimination match! So, as Joanne rolled out of the ring for some well-deserved respite, Cherry and Demelza went at it, pulling no punches, figuratively or literally!</p><p> </p><p> The crowd were hugely into it, more cheering that each girl was getting hit than that they were doing the hitting, but what does it matter? They were cheering every single punch, kick and slam, that's all that matters! I couldn't blame them, I was thoroughly enjoying the match backstage, too!</p><p> </p><p> Eventually, Demelza hit Cherry with a Superkick, then Joanne slid into the ring, Demelza attempted a second Superkick on her, but Joanne caught her foot, span her round and hit a J-Rocker for the pin after 31 minutes and 32 seconds! J-Ro was the number one contender again!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-d.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/nLVKvMZ/grade-d.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Mary-Beth-Chase.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/sJG40QS/Mary-Beth-Chase.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Nadia-Snow.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QNzZYRB/Nadia-Snow.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Mary Beth Chase & Nadia Snow hit the ring!</em></p><p> </p><p> After the match, Nadia Snow and Mary Beth Chase ran down to the ring and attacked Joanne on behalf of their respective partners! Cherry recovered from the effects of the Superkick and joined Mary in the assault while Nadia woke Demelza up, which would've led to a four-on-one beatdown, except...</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Jaime-Quine.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/vH2dz7X/Jaime-Quine.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Sara-Marie-York.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/W2tkq5N/Sara-Marie-York.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Jaime Quine & Sara Marie York hit the ring!</em></p><p> </p><p> Jaime, looking for vengeance on Cherry and Mary, and Sara, who's had nothing but issues with The A-List this year, both quickly cleared the ring, saving Joanne! <p>Post-Girls-Aloud Drinks</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Lady-Liberty.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/WVKLbY2/Lady-Liberty.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Unlucky, Lisa! Lisa Rothchild, more commonly known as Lady Liberty, was sentenced to buy everyone drinks tonight after the show, and it was probably the worst night of the year to have to do that. Everyone was out tonight, as it had been a couple of the girls' last show with us.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Paige-Croft.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Lrg2hSf/Paige-Croft.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Simony-Sentinel.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Dt0GXpV/Simony-Sentinel.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p>

<em>Paige Croft & Simony Sentinel</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Both girls' contracts were running out, and due to our strained budget, neither could be renewed, but there were no hard feelings on either side. Paige and Simony had put Selina and Talia over, respectively, by running a double injury angle on their way out. Both girls were wrapped up in bandages, although to say it was to keep kayfabe in 2016 would be naïve, especially considering we were all out together, "faces" and "heels," enemies and allies. No, the real reason was for a bit of a laugh.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="o.jpg" data-src="https://s3-media2.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/6rjvzZlUdNumzxq199e8Kg/o.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This wasn't my usual haunt, but then again this wasn't my usual crowd for a night out. We had come to nearby "Esti Brava" for a few drinks and to give Paige and Simony a nice send-off.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Ellie-May-Walton.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/pR442nX/Ellie-May-Walton.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Jim-Lou-Freebush-alt2.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/rHRVk7q/Jim-Lou-Freebush-alt2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

I guess Ellie and Jim were now public with their relationship, as they sat holding hands and generally acting couply. Good for them, I hope they're happy together. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

One thing I should mention from the night, is I had an interesting chat with Joanne...</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/LnCczxZ/Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

She told me she thought Talia was "a star in the making" and could make AAA "some serious money in the future," and I got the impression she'd like to work with her to bring her up to that level. She also told me she was going to be working some shots for QAW in future, but that she wasn't leaving AAA.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Phew!</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

She also told me she wasn't the only one who'd be appearing for QAW as well as AAA, but she kept schtum as to who the other(s) might be...</p>

<p>Wednesday, Week 2, May 2016</p><p> </p><p>

Last night was QAW's "Nowhere To Run 2016" event, and Joanne had hinted to me that this would be where she'd be making her QAW debut, so the first thing I did this morning was check the internet for results.</p><p> </p><p>

Sure as anything, there it was!</p><p> </p><p>

I was thrilled for Joanne! She debuted in their semi-main-event, picked up a win, and stole the show with the best match of the night! I was definitely going to follow QAW's results more closely going forward...</p>

AAA Tag Team Championship Elimination Match

Jessica-Bunny.jpgKatherine-Goodlooks.jpg

Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly © vs Ellie May Walton & Talia Quinzel vs Jessica Bunny & Katherine Goodlooks

The rules of this match were simple: one member of each team was legal at any given time, and if either member of a team was pinned, counted out, disqualified, or forced to submit, the whole team was eliminated.

With that in mind, as soon as the opening bell rang, Debbie and Jessica (who started the match for their respective teams) flashed each other a knowing smile and jumped the other legal woman, Talia! Lilly & Rose and Good Lookin' Bunny worked together as if they were one team, absolutely dismantling Talia (and Ellie when she tried to get involved), much to the delight of the fans!

After only five minutes or so, Ellie and Talia were eliminated and sent packing. The remaining girls high-fived, shook hands, and backed up to their corners to compete for the tag titles. I guess Ellie and Talia should've seen that coming after their uninvited participation in last month's tag title match!

The remainder of the match was a good, back-and-forth tag team match, with Lilly & Rose eventually coming out on top (and without underhanded tactics this time!) at the 18:30 mark!

grade-dplus.jpg

After the match, Debbie and Kate approached Jessica and Katherine and extended their hands for a handshake, again to the delight of the crowd. I think we just witnessed a "face turn," and it's safe to say it was a complete success!

AAA Top Contender's Championship Match

AAA-Top-Contender.jpg

Selina-Svelte.jpgvs.jpgSuzanne-Brazzle.jpg

Selina Svelte vs Suzanne Brazzle ©

Suzi and Selina had a decent match that made Selina look a million bucks without hurting Suzi at all. It was a good, open match that told the story of Selina trying to both avenge her friend's loss and claim some personal glory for herself. After about 16 minutes, Talia made her way down to ringside and jumped up on the apron, signalling for Selina to bring Suzi over to her.

Selina held Suzi's arms in a full nelson and dragged her over to Talia, but when Talia went to hit Suzi, she ducked down and out of the grip, meaning Talia hit Selina square in the face! Selina stumbled into the centre of the ring, and Suzi planted her with the Miracle Connection for the pin after 17:49!

grade-d.jpg

Up next, Geena The Warrior Princess came down to the ring to talk about her career, which was coming to a close.

Geena-Princess.jpg

She managed to turn the crowd against her, talking about what a big deal she is in Europe and how that's the only place that matters any more, and there isn't a woman in America who could even lace her boots!

This brought out Tamara McFly!

Tamara-Mc-Fly.jpg

The crowd reaction for Tamara was huge, as she hadn't been pre-announced for the show! Tamara got right in Joanie's face and, without another word being said, a brawl broke out! That was my... our cue!

Ava-Anderson.jpgChristy-Higgins.jpgLady-Liberty.jpgSarah-Taylor.jpgSteffi-Chee.jpgWendy-Anderson.jpg

Pretty much every "babyface" not currently involved in a big feud!

All six of us rushed the ring like our lives depended on it! Ava, Christy and Lisa (Lady Liberty) grabbed Joanie, Steffi, Wendy and I held Tamara in the opposite corner. Tamara shouted, above all the commotion, "get a ref down here! You and me! Career vs career! Let's do this!"

grade-dplus.jpg

Retirement Match

Geena-Princess.jpgvs.jpgTamara-Mc-Fly.jpg

The referee arrived, the six of us let go of our captives and left the ring, and the bell rang! We all scurried to the back to gather round a monitor and watch these two legends go at it!

I watched in such awe that I barely took in any of what was happening to commit to memory. All I know was that the atmosphere backstage was the same as the atmosphere in the crowd. We were all fans again! Joanie and Tamara went Hell for leather until, after 18 minutes and 35 seconds, Tamara got the win with her signature McFly Roll!

grade-dminus.jpg

After the match, Joanie left the ring and walked to the back, looking dejected. As Tamara celebrated, three women rushed the ring!

Ellie-May-Walton.jpgSelina-Svelte.jpgTalia-Quinzel.jpg

The Uprising!

Ellie, Selina and Talia beat Tamara mercilessly, leaving her laying in the ring as they headed back to the entrance way, evil smiles plastered across their faces.

Tamara sold her beat down in front of the fans, but the moment she stepped through the curtain, her demeanour changed. "WHERE IS SHE?!" she yelled, furious. None of us had even spotted it, but it turned out there had been a bit of a "botch" in the match, and Tamara had nearly gotten hurt because of it.

Luckily, Joanie apologised and took the blame, so the situation diffused pretty quickly. I don't think any of us fancied trying to hold them apart for real!

Even though we knew there wasn't anything specific on the line in this match, we all agreed to do our best out there, as a matter of pride. Steph and Zoe, being an established tag team, worked together throughout, and it worked for them as they got to the final four, along with Ava and Wendy.

At that point, Ava and Wendy teamed up to eliminate Steph and Zoe, but then Wendy immediately eliminated Ava to pick up the victory! It was well deserved, she'd eliminated the most people over the course of the match, too.

The three known "faces" came out and gathered at ringside...

Joanne grabbed a microphone. She said that it wasn't hard to find someone who wanted to get her hands on the girls in the ring, especially Cherry and Mary! Their mystery partner is...

Catherine-Quine.jpg

Catherin Quine! WHAT?!

They had played this one close to the chest! I guess that explained the super-secret meeting before the show! Ms Quine was going to have a one-off match in our main event!

Catherine-Quine.jpgJaime-Quine.jpgJoanne-Rodriguez.jpgSara-Marie-York.jpg

Cherry Bomb, Mary Beth Chase, Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow vs Catherine Quine, Jaime Quine, Joanne Rodriguez & Sara Marie York

The match started with the "babyfaces" thoroughly dominating, as the "heel" team really "sold" the shock of Ms Quine being the mystery partner. Eventually, the match settled into a bit more of a rhythm, with the "heels" dominating, eventually isolating Jaime. They worked her over, but Cherry refused to let anyone on her team go for the elimination, instead wanting to punish Jaime even more.

Eventually, she got Mary to tag in, and Mary rag-dolled Jaime around until the referee called for the bell and eliminated Jaime via stoppage. Ms Quine then rushed into the ring to check on Jaime, which the referee took to mean she was the next legal competitor from her team.

Ms Quine was more concerned with making sure Jaime was okay, so she motioned for paramedics (yep, the same deal as last month!) to come and get her. Once Jaime was on a stretcher, Ms Quine left with her, as Mary and Cherry intimidated the referee into counting her out!

This left Joanne and Sara, who had a future Femme Fatale Championship match against each other in the back of their minds, against all four members of the other team. They fought valiantly, but The A-List teamed up to eliminate Sara, and Cherry finished the clean sweep by pinning Joanne, albeit after Mary's finisher.

Overall Show Rating:

Our usual post-show meeting was delayed by half an hour, as Ms Quine threw a special retirement ceremony for Joanie after the official show had finished, which the live crowd thoroughly enjoyed. (B- - should've put it on the main show :p)

Ms Quine complimented Joanne on her introduction of her as the mystery partner, and Debbie and Kate on a "face turn" well done. She also said not to worry about the last couple of shows not being our best - they'd been experimental and we, the wrestlers, wouldn't take the blame for the crowd not being overly into it.

Darn it, didn't get the chance to post my predictions until now. Wouldn't have picked Anderson to win the Battle Royal so your prediction prize would have been safe but was actually going to pick Cat as the mystery partner based on your story with Quines vs. Cherry Bomb and the fact the you've already brought Farrah out of retirement for a match before. Oh well, you win some and lose some.

<p>Saturday, Week 1, June 2016</p><p> </p><p> I woke up to an email from Ms Quine, as did everyone on the roster (we were all on the recipient list), which didn't happen often. They were very much an experiment, and one that failed. Cherry and I will be going back to the booking that brought us more success towards the beginning of the year, as well as bringing any current storylines to their logical conclusion. The first difference is that I will absolutely not be stepping back into the ring any time soon! Even after my limited involvement, I'm still aching today!</p><p> </p><p> Now, onto some unfortunate news. Jaime has signed a written deal with North Of The Border Pro Wrestling. While this is a big loss for us, this is a huge opportunity for her, and I wasn't going to try to stand in her way. I know she's sad to be leaving us all behind, so please feel free to send her your well wishes!</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, I won't take up any more of your time, I'll see you in July for our biggest show of the year: AAA Women Of Wrestling 20!</p><p> </p><p> Catherine</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> What a blow! Jaime was one of our success stories of the year, with Cherry managing to elevate her to main event level in their storyline. That explains the injury angle in the elimination match, and also the meeting she, Cherry and Ms Quine had before the show! I sent her a text saying "Congrats on the NOTBPW deal! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> x" and got back a "Thanks, will miss you guys tho! x" and went about the rest of my day.</p>

It's just a bit of a gut shot to lose three in such quick succession, especially during the build-up to our biggest show of the year.</p><p> </p><p> But, we'll persevere, and will end up stronger for it! They hadn't exactly been setting the world on fire this year, but now she'd have to completely reinvent herself as a singles wrestler, but I knew she could do it!</p>

<p>Thursday, Week 4, June 2016</p><p> </p><p>

North Of The Border Pro Wrestling's TV deal only covers Canada, so I couldn't watch Cherry's debut live, but I read an online report the next morning that said she'd debuted by getting into a brawl with former NOTBPW Women's Champion, Amber Allen. It was rated the worst segment on the show, but I was super proud of her all the same!</p><p> </p><p>

No sign of Jaime or Zoe just yet, but I was sure they'd show up soon enough...</p>
