<p>AAA Women Of Wrestling 20 Match Card</p><p> </p><p>

Pre-Show Match</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mary Beth Chase & Steph Blake</strong> vs Sarah Taylor & Wendy Anderson</p><p>

<em>Hmm, I keep betting against Anderson and being wrong even when I miss predictions. But I'm still going to do it.</em></p><p> </p><p>

AAA Tag Team Championship Match</p><p> </p><p>

Ellie May Walton & Selina Svelte vs <strong>Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly ©</strong></p><p>

<em>Just turned face, plus I think we're going to have heel number one contenders.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Grudge Match</p><p> </p><p>

Talia Quinzel <strong>vs</strong> Tamara McFly</p><p>

<em>One of the matches has to end in a draw right? Even though it's a grudge match I say this one ends in a draw and McFly loses the blowoff and retires as I know that's on the horizon.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Top Contender For The AAA Tag Team Championships Match</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow</strong> vs Jessica Bunny & Katherine Goodlooks</p><p>

<em>The heel number one contenders I mentioned earlier. Ta-da!</em></p><p> </p><p>

AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</p><p> </p><p>

Devil's Daughter vs <strong>Suzanne Brazzle ©</strong></p><p>

<em>Oly reason I'd see Brazzle losing here would be so she can move into the void in your main event scene.</em></p><p> </p><p>

AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Joanne Rodriguez</strong> vs Sara Marie York ©</p><p>

<em>This is Women of Wrestling, We need a big moment to close the show.</em></p><p> </p><p>

I did it, I made my predictions in time <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Eventually, I got the hot tag when I escaped the grip of Steph, and Wendy came in like a house on fire!</p><p> </p><p> She was really taking it to Steph when Mary decided she'd seen enough and stormed the ring. The referee tried to tell her to get back to her corner, but she was on a rampage and, at 7:45, he called for the bell. Technically, Wendy and I had won!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Wendy-Anderson.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/qsHrsyf/Wendy-Anderson.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Tag Team Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="AAA-Tag.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/FbsfXBf/AAA-Tag.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="Ellie-May-Walton.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/pR442nX/Ellie-May-Walton.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Selina-Svelte.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/JsDZ75t/Selina-Svelte.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Debbie-Rose.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/JsTPdtc/Debbie-Rose.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Kate-Lilly.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/xM7frWr/Kate-Lilly.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Ellie May Walton & Selina Svelte vs Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly ©</em></p><p> </p><p> Both of these teams have excellent chemistry together, so this match really showed why it was for the tag titles and ours hadn't been. In our defence, it was the first time any of us had ever teamed up, but enough about my match...</p><p> </p><p> This match still followed the usual pattern for a tag team match, but didn't feel as obviously formulaic as ours had. They worked the crowd expertly, especially when building to the "hot tag" in the latter part of the match. Debbie was the one being isolated by Ellie and Selina, and when Kate eventually got the tag, she cleaned house before Lilly & Rose hit their finisher, "The Thorn" on Ellie for the pin after 14 minutes and 49 seconds!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-dplus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/PzLDNk1/grade-dplus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sara Marie York Promo</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Sara-Marie-York.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/W2tkq5N/Sara-Marie-York.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Sara came down to the ring and grabbed a microphone. She talked about her underwhelming 2016 so far, but also about how, when her back's against the wall, like in the Double Jeopardy match three months ago, she still comes out on top, and tonight would be no different.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/LnCczxZ/Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>J-Ro came down to the ring, interrupting Sara!</em></p><p> </p><p> Joanne ran down the history of 2016 so far, including Sara's losses by disqualification and other near misses, and said that tonight, on the biggest show of AAA's year, her luck would run out.</p><p> </p><p> Sara simply replied "I guess we'll find out later, won't we?"</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-bminus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/9nwNXm4/grade-bminus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Grudge Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Talia-Quinzel.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/gWRWMh9/Talia-Quinzel.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Tamara-Mc-Fly.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/yVFPznY/Tamara-Mc-Fly.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Talia Quinzel vs Tamara McFly</em></p><p> </p><p> Before the match could begin properly, Talia grabbed a microphone and challenge Tamara to put her career on the line again, just like she did last month against Geena The Warrior Princess. Tamara showed no fear, snatched the microphone from Talia and said "if I can't beat you, I don't deserve to continue my career! You're on!"</p><p> </p><p> The match told a great story of Talia dominating, but being unable to put Tamara away. Tamara was clearly determined to hold onto her career, and eventually fought right back into the match, eventually catching Talia in the McFly Roll for...</p><p> </p><p> <strong><em>TWO!</em></strong> Talia kicked out, and Tamara looked stunned! She checked with the referee that he only counted two, and Talia grabbed her from behind and nailed the Spinal Trauma for the pin at 12:41!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-eplus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Jpdh7qZ/grade-eplus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Top Contender For The AAA Tag Team Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Demelza-Wade.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/M1LPSSp/Demelza-Wade.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Nadia-Snow.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QNzZYRB/Nadia-Snow.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Jessica-Bunny.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/7rw7yqH/Jessica-Bunny.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Katherine-Goodlooks.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/cCZxP0J/Katherine-Goodlooks.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow vs Jessica Bunny & Katherine Goodlooks</em></p><p> </p><p> With Lilly & Rose having already retained their Championships earlier, interest was high in this match to determine their next challengers. Would it be Good Lookin' Bunny again, keeping their newly-respectful rivalry going, or would it be The A-List? The last time these teams met, GLB were the champions and came away with the win. Would we see a repeat?</p><p> </p><p> In short, no. After a fairly dominant 14 minutes and 50 seconds of the best match of the night so far, Demelza and Nadia picked up the pinfall victory after hitting Jessica with their Star Treatment finisher!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-cminus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Vq0Y2Pc/grade-cminus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="AAA-Top-Contender.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/CwNbhqs/AAA-Top-Contender.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="Devils-Daughter.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/JKxrRjJ/Devils-Daughter.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Suzanne-Brazzle.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/SBhzmXC/Suzanne-Brazzle.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Devil's Daughter vs Suzanne Brazzle ©</em></p><p> </p><p> I'm sure a lot of people were expecting this match to be pretty one-sided, but it was surprisingly open! Cordelia (that's Devil's Daughter's real first name) kept the pace slow, grinding Suzi down and locking her in all manner of holds designed to wear her down. Eventually, Suzi rallied back and hit a Miracle Connection for the three after 13:14!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-d.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/nLVKvMZ/grade-d.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Catherine-Quine.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/2hkF272/Catherine-Quine.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Before the main event could get started, Ms Quine headed out to the ring! She announced that Cherry Bomb's actions against her and her daughter had given her no choice but to send her packing to Canada, which got a bit of a "pop" from the fans who were in the know.</p><p> </p><p> She then turned her attention to Grace Harper, who had been covering for her on commentary while she "sold" her injury but being more of a "heel," and told her she'd been listening to her commentary on the monitor in the back, and she didn't like what she had to say, so Grace was fired!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Grace-Harper.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/wM7kYfm/Grace-Harper.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> In reality, Grace had only signed on for three appearances to cover for Ms Quine, but this was a good way to make the switch back at the commentary table, and get Ms Quine re-established as the authority figure in AAA!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-dplus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/PzLDNk1/grade-dplus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="AAA-Femme-Fatale.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/Kqkb3bH/AAA-Femme-Fatale.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/LnCczxZ/Joanne-Rodriguez.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/QrWhQPh/vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Sara-Marie-York.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/W2tkq5N/Sara-Marie-York.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Joanne Rodriguez vs Sara Marie York ©</em></p><p> </p><p> Wow. This was... epic! Joanne was obviously exhausted by the end of the match, and Sara was visibly tiring, too. But no-one could blame them after 42 minutes and 13 seconds of Femme Fatale Championship match!</p><p> </p><p> The end came when Joanne ducked an Energy Burst and connected with a J-Rocker for the win!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-dminus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/R4D70qB/grade-dminus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Overall Show Rating:</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="grade-dminus.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/R4D70qB/grade-dminus.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Not the amazing show we were hoping for, but at least it was an improvement on the last couple of months! Ms Quine normally praises three of us after each show, however this time she praised Demelza, Nadia, Jessica and Katherine for great performances in their tag match, and rightly so, in my opinion!</p><p> </p><p> Then, unexpectedly, she looked straight at me and said "Sarah, can you stay behind for a chat once everyone's gone, please?"</p><p> </p><p> Oh my God, was I going to be fired?! <p>I sat there, nervously fidgeting as everyone else left the arena, some going home, some going on to their next booking, some going out for drinks. Ms Quine had asked me to stay behind, and I had no idea why. I was terrified I was in trouble. My performance on the pre-show hadn't been great, was it that? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46371" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>A few months ago' date=' you called me just to suggest we hire Darkness Cat...[/quote']<p> </p><p> <em>Oh God, was she mad about that? <p>Week 2, July 2016</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Friday</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

My friends and I were having some drinks at Rico's, when a familiar figure walked in...</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Steph-Blake-alt1.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/7kJ0vGP/Steph-Blake-alt1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p>

<em>Steph Blake</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

I hadn't seen Steph here before, but I waved to get her attention and she came over. My trial as Ms Quine's booker wasn't common knowledge in the locker room yet, so I made sure not to mention it, but we chatted about a lot of things, mostly wrestling. Steph was worried that, without Zoe, she'd get "lost in the shuffle" in AAA, and I made a mental note to try to find something for her.</p><p> </p><p>

Just as we were getting onto her story (she's English, so I wanted to find out more about her decision to move out here), another familiar face appeared!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Steffi-Chee.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/BHkxnvr/Steffi-Chee.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p>

<em>Two in one night! What were the odds?</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Strangely, the atmosphere between Steph and Steffi was frosty, and Steph soon made her excuses and left. I asked Steffi if there was an issue, and she said they hadn't been getting along backstage. Obviously, according to Steffi it was all Steph's fault, and I'm sure if I asked Steph it would be all Steffi's fault!</p><p> </p><p>

Steffi had a couple of drinks and was on her way. I made a couple of mental notes, and went on to enjoy the rest of my evening with my friends.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Sunday</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="NOTBPW.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/B3Y2N0v/NOTBPW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Last night was North Of The Border Pro Wrestling's Mid Summer Madness. I would've watched live, but they only broadcast their shows in Canada. Anyway, I looked up the results, and saw a familiar face in the NOTBPW Womens title match:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Cherry-Bomb.jpg" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/dkt5hRM/Cherry-Bomb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p>

<em>Cherry Bomb!</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Granted, she lost to the reigning champion, Kristabel Plum, but still, it was good to see Cherry doing well! Jaime hasn't surfaced in any televised matches yet, and Zoe has been in a couple of tag team losses (with different partners) to Nina Cacace and Amber Allen.</p><p> </p><p>

None of the three AAA girls who signed this summer have picked up a televised win just yet, but at least two of them have been featured. I couldn't help but think that Zoe and Steph might be better off if they were still together, on either side of the border...</p>

AAA Girls Night Out 2016

Oh no. This was all too familiar. I walked into the Washington State Gymnasium's backstage area, and it was chaos!

Lady-Liberty.jpgTracy-Brendon.jpg

Lady Liberty and Tracy Brendon were being held apart!

Ms Quine came rushing over, leaving Wendy on the other side of the room (presumably, she was giving more tips to her protégée) and dragged Lisa (Lady Liberty) into a makeshift office and could be seen (and overheard) giving her a very stern warning. Even through her mask, Lisa was visibly unhappy about this, although I found out later that the brawl was over a rib she pulled, so I don't know what leg she thought she had to stand on...

Once everything had settled down, I grabbed Steffi and Steph and tried to convince them to bury the hatchet, but I think it did more harm than good! I think my meddling made them hate each other! :(

So much drama, so I decided to break away and go check out the notice board with tonight's match card on it.

Wow, that was a lot to take in. I was in a pre-show match again, but I knew Ms Quine and I were going to be putting our heads together after this show, so hopefully I could throw in an idea or two for myself without seeming too egotistical!

Suzi continues her rivalry with The Uprising, we have all three of our titles on the line on the show, and wow, that "cool down" match! If word of their backstage skirmish leaks online, I'm not sure that match will do its job...

AAA Girls Night Out 2016 Match Card

Pre-Show Opening Match

Ava Anderson & Sarah Taylor vs Selina Svelte & Steph Blake

Blake doesn't want to get lost in the shuffle, but her she is in the pre-show :( At least she gets a win though, right?

Pre-Show Match

Christy Higgins & Steffi Chee vs Mary Beth Chase & Talia Quinzel

Think Chase and Quinzel have more upside, especially with Quinzel 'retiring' McFly, unless she hasn't retired just yet and comes out and cost her the match...

Opening Match

Devil's Daughter vs Wendy Anderson

Anderson is Quine's chosen one so she gets the win here

AAA Top Contender's Championship Match

Ellie May Walton vs Suzanne Brazzle ©

Keeping the belt on Brazzle here, not sure if she wins clean or if its a DQ win.

AAA Tag Team Championship Match

Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly © vs Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow

Picking this as this months draw ;) Could go either way for me so picking neither

Cool The Crowd Match

Lady Liberty vs Tracy Brendon

Brendon gets some revenge for the backstage antics, surprised Liberty hasn't got herself fired yet, always seems to get into an argument with the booker or complains constantly.

AAA Femme Fatale Championship Rematch

Joanne Rodriguez © vs Sara Marie York

Could also be a draw but think J-Ro wins this and retains

Sometimes when your working the book you have to consider others, in this case Steph Blake and keeping her relevant

This could go either way and it’s time one or both are poached but I’ll still with the veteran champ

This is a fun dynasty. Good work!

AAA Girls Night Out 2016 Match Card

Pre-Show

Ava Anderson & Sarah Taylor vs Selina Svelte & Steph Blake

- Pre-show or not, Selina and Steph shouldn't be losing right now

Christy Higgins & Steffi Chee vs Mary Beth Chase & Talia Quinzel

- Talia's the only star here, and MBC is in a current storyline. I'm surprised they're on the pre-show really.

Actual Show

Devil's Daughter vs Wendy Anderson

- Neither have much going on, so going with the boss's protege

Ellie May Walton vs Suzanne Brazzle ©

- No reason for a title-change yet

Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly © vs Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow

- A draw, or Wade & Snow win but the titles don't change for some reason

- Wade & Snow are the better team, but they're needed in your main event scene. Plus if they get the tag titles they'll smother the whole division.

Lady Liberty vs Tracy Brendon

- Lady Liberty isn't valuable enough to be rewarded for bad behaviour

Joanne Rodriguez © vs Sara Marie York

- Too soon to swap back

I walked into the coffee shop, and there she was.

Catherine-Quine.jpg

Ms Quine

She smiled warmly, and motioned for me to join her. There were two drinks on the table, one in front of her and one in front of the empty seat across from her. I instinctively assumed we were being joined by someone else, and went to grab a spare chair from another table.

"That's for you," she chuckled.

"Oh! Thank you!"

Once pleasantries had been exchanged and my nerves had subsided slightly, we got down to business. We started by discussing the last show, and what went wrong. We started with the main event, which was bizarrely the worst match of the main show and on par with the two pre-show tag team matches.

"We could bring someone in to challenge Joanne, bring out the best in her. I stayed up late last night, doing some research..."

"Sara is one of the best female wrestlers in the world," Ms Quine interrupted.

"Third best, in my opinion," I responded, hoping I wasn't overstepping my boundaries. Ms Quine sat back, either offended or impressed. "The only two better, in my opinion, work in Japan... for 5 Star."

That piqued her interest.

AAA have a working agreement with 5 Star Supreme Wrestling, although we haven't exactly done a lot of talent trades so far. My first suggestion was to change that. "We could bring in Umeko Karube or Shiori Jippensha..."

DEVIL-Karube.jpgShiori-Jippensha.jpg

"Or both?" Ms Quine surprised me with that interjection. She smiled. She liked my idea!

We discussed other problems, solutions and ideas, including an idea for myself (I'd be stupid not to, right?), but I feel like that's enough detail for now. Don't want to spoil everything, do I? ;)

Week 2, August 2016

Friday

I was flicking through various "dirt sheets" (it's kind of part of my job now, keeping up to date with wrestling news) and saw some interesting news from 5SSW: DEVIL (Umeko) Karube and Shiori Jippensha were rumoured to be starting a feud! The two best female wrestlers in the world (in my opinion) having a rivalry? I wish 5SSW broadcast in the US!

Sunday

Last night, NOTBPW had their "Summer Smash" event, during which Jaime Quine made her debut (losing, but only by disqualification) and Zoe Ammis had a shot at the NOTBPW Women's Championship (and lost)! Sure, two losses for our girls, but I was proud of how they were doing. Jaime's match was the second best of the whole night!

Had me worried for a second... This was good for Selina, and potentially good for us. WINNOW didn't have a domestic TV deal yet, let alone anything in the States, but Shiori Jippensha has also signed for them, so maybe, way down the line, we could do some kind of crossover feud...</p>
