White Canvas Grappling [C-Verse]

I second this, fantastic work.

Thanks mate:cool:

Captain White Canvas is my favourite captain.

He's mine too.:cool::cool:

The logos are excellent! Nice design touches and work. Still a fun read.

Thanks man i really appreciate it. :D

I'm guessing The Hurt weren't living up to their 2016 ratings as a team, which not only led to their loss but their split. Robinson going to the Junior division could be interesting, we may get him winning the Junior Heavyweight Title before years end.

I liked Phoenix's bid to get an S-1 Festival for the Juniors, as you see from my PGHW dynasty I agree Juniors need equal treatment to heavyweights :).

Yep you got me. Unfortunately i planned out to win Hurt the titles, but suddenly they had a very bad chemistry as a team. I wanted to stick to my plan that they're going to dethrone the long reigning champs OWARI, so i thought it's only a tag belt and i've got a pretty stacked division there, why not do the change immediatly?

I know predicting in this diary wasn't the biggest hit, but if anyone is interested here's a prediction key for the upcoming tour finale in Sapporo:

Hope to update the thread today, so take your picks!

Kinda excited for the final show in Sapporo. Have in mind Explosion is the show where the S-1 Festival participants will be announced. I think that i'm going to announce the blocks and schedule at Pacific Battle, which is our very first coop-show with NYCW!

<div style="text-align:justify;">No surprise that the hate between Sarumara and Toshusai is still on. Much more interesting was the aftermath. NYCW Empire champion Roger Cage and fellow NYCW wrestler Ernest Youngman came down to the ring to issue a challenge to WCG warrior Sotatsu Sarumara. "The Armlock Wizard" accepted the challenge by Cage, but only for his Empire title. Cage mused around, accepted the challenge for his belt.

<div style="text-align:justify;">Miyake may be the biggest talent in White Canvas, however his time is not yet there. Omezo Shikitei, more experienced, was a step above him today. Young Miyake did not land his Penalty Kick, was immediatly caught with a rollup for two and had to swallow a brutal Forearm to his face followed by an STF for the win. Miyake still stands by only one victory against a older opponent and that was his win over mentor Hidekazu Ozawa one year ago.

WCG World Heavyweight Championship

RazanOkamoto.pnghttp://shuyaku.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/red60.pngt8x9H4Y.png

<div style="text-align:justify;">It was a tough first defense for the now two time WCG World Heavyweight champion Razan Okamoto. The "Dreamcatcher" may be the same age as Yoshinaka Taku, but their path went in other directions when Okamoto joined White Canvas Grappling first. Okamoto came across more experienced, with more willpower and much more determinated. You could see very cleary that Taku was a bit afraid of this important match, he left his holed wide open for Okamoto to go for the kill. Knee Strike and Brainbuster was too much for him to handle.

COMMENTS

Razan Okamoto: I feel good. It wasn't easy, but i feel like i'm definetly at 110% at the moment. Yoshinaka [Taku] is tough, he should join us at xDREAM to get the best teammates in WCG, right? I'm glad he's in S-1 Festival again."

Omezo Shikitei: "He's a 22 years old kid, huh? He's not even in the tournament man. But i have to give him some sort of credit. He's a tough sob and he will be a dangerous foe in the near future, trust me. "

Kimitada Yanagita: "I'm happy. Fukazawa-san watched me a whole year. I was frustrated being rejected from last years tournament. I know that i'm 47 years old, but i got one more tournament in my body. Give me one of those Shokka-gun b*astards and i'll unleash hell on them. The Dog Of War is going to bite one more time."

Sotatsu Sarumara: "I'm thrilled for Kimitada-san and Ray, but i'm sad for Yoemon, ya know. I think he's still one of the toughest here. He will come back, trust me. Anyway, Roger Cage? I know NYCW has some sort of relationship with us, so i'm happy to invite you into my ring. Don't be sad when i'm going to take your Empire title from you."

Japanese Phoenix: "First Tiger now Tanaka? These young guns are special. I accepted, so i'm curious what he's got in his tank. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of spotlight we Juniors will get from the office. I plead for some sort of tourney. Doesn't matter if round-robin or single elimination. Give us something."

<p>The show was a sizzle and the post match comments were the steak! I’m a fan of inter promotional shows so I’m excited to see what happens next week. Really curious about the Empire Title match. </p><p> </p><p>

I really like the new design of your shows. You’re really good at creating unique logos and creative color schemes for your formats. It’s a really important part of writing for a Japanese company and you’re one of the best at it on the boards.</p><p> </p><p>

Okamoto is on a different level than Taku for sure. But his seal of approval and offer to join xDream is a new interesting development. Will Taku join or will he continue to a free agent to the stables of WCG? Who knows maybe he’ll go Rogue or needs some Shokka-Gun in his life <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />.</p><p> </p><p>

I’m stoked for the S-1 Festival, I love round robin tournaments cause ya never know what can happen. Taku could get a win over Okamoto, Sarumara & Toshusai can tangle, so many different possibilities I’m smiling from ear to ear right now.</p><p> </p><p>

Japanese Phoenix trying time be the Juniors spokesperson, pleading for a tournament. You can see the desperation on his face. I think he’ll take out Tanaka in the defense and continue to be the leader of the Juniors till they get the tournament he’s begging for.</p>

Thank you both for your continous feedback. You two are a really good motivation to keep that thing up forever:p

And i also want to thank each and every one of you who voted for me in the recent DOTM. White Canvas Grappling won two awards, which make our diary a four time award winner now. Great feeling! Buzzing to get further into the year, i think i got a pretty good rhythm at the moment.

Let’s go!!! I’m down for it go hundred years 😁. Seriously though I feel like people underestimate the power of giving genuine feedback rather than four word sentences and predictions only. It really helps motivate any writer to keep on going. Plus getting two DOTM’s ain’t too shabby either. I think WCG fell under people’s radar but I’m glad you’ve kept on going and can’t wait too see where you’ll take it!!

6. NYCW.png Andrew Harper & NYCW.png Brutus Milano vs. OWARI (Azumamaro Kita & Fujio Narahashi)

7. NYCW Empire Championship: NYCW.png Roger Cage © vs. Sotatsu Sarumara (6th Defense)

8. WCG Intercontinental Championship: Bunrakuken Torii © vs. Gonnohyoe Kada (1st Defense)

Cross-branded shows are hard to predict on but I always liked the idea. Not only is it NYCW but we get an OLLIE appearance as well. I like that you didn't make the matches solely WCG v. NYCW so it makes the matches more divided in who will win. I think OWARI will get the tag win to cement themselves as a top team after The Hurt beat them and then broke up. Roger Cage vs Sarumara is the match I'm really looking at to see if you pull off Sarumara getting the title. Torri I see getting an easy defense here for his first oppoent as champ.

『WCG & NYCW Pacific Battle Night 2』- February 17, 2018

Saitama Sports Field @ Kanto, Japan

1. El Mítico Jr., Japanese Phoenix & Dos Phoenix (OLLIE.png Phoenix II & OLLIE.png III) vs. Jotaro Tanaka, Isamu Kijimuta & Galaxy Surfers (Mercury & Solar II)

2. Steve Flash, Ray Snow & The Ring Generals (Dean Waldorf & Marv Statler) vs. NYCW.png Andrew Harper, NYCW.png Brutus Milano, Austin Smooth & Brandon Smith

5. OWARI (Azumamaro Kita & Fujio Narahashi) vs. Tiger Fuyuki & Hirokichi Yoemon

6. Jayson Van Pelt & White Justice (Kimitada Yanagita & Sotatsu Sarumara) vs. Sterling Whitlock, Pavel Vanzycha & NYCW.png Roger Cage

7. The Last Chapter: Billy Robinson vs. Nigel Svensson

8. WCG World Heavyweight Championship: Razan Okamoto © vs. Findlay O'Farraday (2nd Defense)

The OLLIE luchadors vs. WCG juniors Night 2 I think will go to WCG only for redemption of the Juniors. maybe getting a win over foreign lightweights and defending WCG will make managment think harder about adding a Junior tournament . We know Japanese Phoenix will just complain more if it doesn't happen so why not :p.

OWARI getting two wins over the two nights helps them get back into the title picture and they could very well win the titles back. The Hurt diabocal led to a blank page for the tag division so maybe this the way forward.

The Last Chapter aptly named for this team, though not too old they're jounrey to the S-1 Tag League finals got them super over to me. Unfortunately it's over but both have a good forture as singles, Robinson maybe more than Nigel. That's why I think Nigel wins here, also with him being a heavyweight I just envision the typical Heavyweight vs. Junior match in New Japan.. I mean Burning Hammer :3 where Heavyweights always win.

The world title match is a hard decision. Findlay is a great hand and would be a great monster champion. But Okamoto is the Ace in my book, so does his reign end so soon, especially with him being a smaller kind of Heavyweight? I think we're getting the first gaijin world champion and Findlay is the best choice for theat in my opinion.

<div style="text-align:justify;">Larry Vessey wasn't amused when his champion Roger Cage had to tap to Sarumara's devastating Arm Lock. Cage played too much to the crowd so Sarumara could rest a bit after Cage's attacks on his arm. After the match Sarumara stated that he's open to defend the belt in every country of the world against anybody.

<div style="text-align:justify;">You could see that Kada was pissed. The Kenka man wasn't include in this year's S-1 Festival lineup so he wanted to bring a message to the WCG office by beating a champion. Nevertheless Kada's feelings made him an easy target, Torii targeted his neck throughout the match and made him even more angry. A Spinning Forearm Smash later V1 was in the books. Torii took a microfon and said that he's looking forward to be in the same block as WCG World Heavyweight champion Razan Okamoto. He knows that he's got a target on his back, but by beating Okamoto he could be a double champion sooner or later.

COMMENTS

Bunrakuken Torii: Don't overreact please. It was just my first thought by looking at the blocks. Imagine beating Okamoto and challenging. I could be the first double champion in WCG history by defending both belts. Anyway i need to rest after that match."

Sotatsu Sarumara: "I told ya. Roger, Roger, Roger.. You should go to USPW or whatever they name is. You don't belong in a competitive ring like ours. So, i'm the NYCW Empire champion and i'm going into the S-1 Festival as a champion. Maybe someone will challenge me after the tournament? I'm ready."

Kimitada Yanagita: "Man, just Konoe. You guys should have give me all three Shokka-gun as*holes. What can i say? I'm feeling great and ready for nine singles matches."

Hirokichi Yoemon: "How i'm feeling? Not good. I'm happy for Yanagita, but i think we got too much good talent out there. Every year someone will fall behind, and this year it was me. But all you guys could see that i'm still there. Let that smug tap today. But i have to ask? How crazy were those guys i teamed with? I saw them eating a raw pork backstage."

Only one place to start, and that's Sarumara winning the NYCW Empire title. I did not see that coming whatsoever!! As you know I was in a state of shock after seeing it!! It's a perfect addition to the company as now a new title from America can be added to stories. So now Torii & Okamoto aren't the only singles Champions in the tournament. Plus with Sarumara's issues with Toshuai and Shokka-Gun I gotta think somethings gonna happen in their one on one match during the S-1 Festival.

Now to start from the top, the OLLIE stars make their presence felt getting a win to open the show, will the WCG Juniors be able to redeem themselves? Gotta make papa Phoenix proud so he can get the tournament he always wanted! :D

Captain White Canvas continues to be the best super hero since Iron Man, helping Naga-Mori get the win here. I wonder who's under the mask (Wondering Face)?

The S-1 Blocks are announced and I'm excited for it!! The A-Block has me more intrigued than the B-Block cause of Okamoto, Kato, & Torri being in it. I'm so curious to see Kato vs Okamoto again, can Kato redeem himself from the loss from the man who got out of the Choke Sleeper? Torri looking to go passed the Intercontinental Title and go for the world, he's getting in a Naito mood. Personally I don't like double champions who are holding a secondary belt, I think once they win the world title of their division they should vacate the secondary title. But that doesn't make me any less excited to see if he can actually get it done and win both belts. Who knows maybe he'll go for the Empire belt too :p. I'm not trying to undercut the B Block though. They got Toshuai, Gauge, Sarurmara, & Taku all primed to be top of the block. I have no clue who'll win but it's gonna be a hell of a journey.

OWARI returns and gets some momentum going. I wonder what they will think of The Hurt disbanding after beating them. They get any redemption, or maybe they can by winning back the belts :3.

Kada is upset he isn't in the S-1 but then shows why he isn't in the S-1 lol.

Jotaro Tanaka makes a statement choking out Mitico for the win here. I imagine him staring down the Junior Heavyweight title afterwards. His intentions are clear and he has shown himself worthy of such a challenge to Phoenix. Phoenix continues his calls for the tournament and his fantasy may become a reality with some sort of announcement incoming. With Robinson involved, Tanaka gaining momentum and Phoenix leading the way the Junior division is heating up.

Ray Snow gets a win building himself up for the S-1, I see him as a dark horse to finish high. He is a strong style gaijin and can tangle with the best WCG has.

WCG's Avengers get another win, Captain White Canvas and the Hardcore Brothers are my favorite trio you got! :D I'm gonna look up what a twisted bow and arrow is after this, cause I can't imagine what that entails. I do wonder where Captain will be heading, if he will be a lower card guy or will have a shot at bigger things.

<div style="font-weight:normal;border-top:2px solid rgb(000,000,00);"></div>

I'm gonna predict for the S-1 one block night at a time, see if I can get close to perfect on it.

S-1 FESTIVAL PREDICTIONS FIRST NIGHTS

『S-1 FESTIVAL NIGHT 1』- March 4, 2018, Saitama Sports Field (Kanto)

A-Block: Fujio Narahashi vs. Ray Snow

Comment: As a said above, Snow I feel has good potential to be high in his block so I think he starts strong with a win. Especially with Narahashi coming off two losses in the NYCW shows.

A-Block: Taheiji Konoe vs. Sterling Whitlock

Comment: Stable warfare between two heel stables in Shokka-Gun & Rogue Squad. With Shokk-Gun just establishing itself and with Taheji as the only member in block A I'm giving him the win here to represent the faction well.

A-Block: Brandon Smith vs. Omezo Shikitei

Comment: Smith suffered two losses from his team matches cause of Austin Smooth during the NYCW shows. Omezo got to stay fresh, so this is a hard choice..... I'm gonna go with Smith just so he can start off with win and some positive momentum.

A-Block: Morimasa Kato vs. Kimitada Yanagita

Comment: Kato has continued to use the Choke Sleeper effectively and against Yanagita will be no different. He picks up the win putting him to sleep.

A-Block: Razan Okamoto vs. Bunrakuken Torii

Comment: The odds may be against him but Torii claims he wants to be both champions and what a better way to state your claim than beating the champion on night one. This match could have lasting effects on the tournament with both being worn for their second matches.

『S-1 FESTIVAL NIGHT 2』- March 5, 2018, Saitama Sports Field (Kanto)

B-Block: Zeshin Makioka vs. Azumamaro Kita

Comment: Both in tag teams coming off two wins from Pacific Battle. I'm gonna go with Kita cause of his age and OWARI stellar performance as tag champs.

B-Block: Greg Gauge vs. Kuemon Hotta

Comment: Gauge hasn't been going down the right path since losing to Torii and losing his gold. Now it's time for redemption for the Gaijin Superstar, and I don't say Superstar lightly. Hotta could give some momentum to xDream with a win here, but Gauge just feels like he's hungry for the spotlight.

B-Block: Tadakuni Toshusai vs. Pavel Vanzycha

Comment: Tadakuni is my pick to win B Block. He came in hard trashing anyone in his way, especially Sarumara (which is the match to see). I can see him going almost undefeated against the Block to build to a big enocounter with the A-Block winner. But this is a wild guess.:D

B-Block: Maro Shimizu vs. Sotatsu Sarumara

Comment: Sarumara continues his singles success and moves his momentum forward, I wonder who'll get a win over him and challenge for the Empire title... Also I saw him vs. Toshuai is for the last night, I can't even imagine what will happen between now and then. How will that match turn out (Squeals) I'm excited!!

B-Block: Hitomaro Suzuki vs. Yoshinaka Taku

Comment: Like Snow Suzuki is a dark horse for me, but after Taku lost to Okamoto in a close match and was offered a spot in xDream I see him feeling extremly confident going into this. He's gonna show he can earn a top spot in WCG and not just get it by chance.

<div style="font-weight:normal;border-top:2px solid rgb(000,000,00);"></div>

The Last Chapter has been written and Robinson & Svennson are split. Svennson getting the win is good cause it doesn't hurt Billy one bit as he heads to the Junior division and gives Svennson some momentum going into the Heavyweight division. I'm curious if they will end up joining a stable, maybe they end up in different factions or end up by each others side once more. Only time will tell.

I know how much Findlay gave you a headache so I'm not surprised Okamoto got a clean win here. Now Findlay can head back to America giving one last rub to a Japanese counterpart. Okamoto has his focus set on Torii it seems, as he wants to maintain his spot as Ace of WCG in my book at least, and a loss to Torii could derail that momentum in creating that aura for him. Torri is a really tough challenge and could be the man to take down Okamoto in the future. Especially after facing Findlay in a match that was physically draining a week before having to fight Torii, it could spell a bad ending for the World Champion.

</span></p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><span style="font-family:arial;"><strong>■</strong></span><span style="font-family:arial;"> STEP UP will be folded, long live </span><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>RISE</em></span><span style="font-family:arial;">. RISE will be the new sub-brand in White Canvas Grappling with a focus for young talent, talent outside of WCG and talent who are not on the level to be a topstar. RISE will henceforth be the replacement for STEP UP, but also have their shows in the Tokyo Gunma Hall like STEP UP did. RISE is an acronym for </span><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>Revolution</em></span><span style="font-family:arial;">, </span><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>Intense</em></span><span style="font-family:arial;">, </span><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>Special</em></span><span style="font-family:arial;"> & </span><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>Eternal</em></span><span style="font-family:arial;">. </span><span style="font-family:arial;"><strong>■</strong></span><span style="font-family:arial;"> WCG president Junnosoku Fukazawa told the following to the press: „We're always looking for the best talent out there. It's an upgrade to STEP UP and i'm really proud that we could afford this move. RISE will be even more exciting than STEP UP, which i'm looking forward too. We're in contact with many outside talent at the moment that are keen to be featured on RISE. Two wrestlers, who are known from the famous TV-show Palace Run, will be have their debut at RISE: </span><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>Strong Kanegou</em></span><span style="font-family:arial;"> & </span><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>Takeshi Ishimara</em></span><span style="font-family:arial;">!"</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

</span><span style="font-family:arial;"><strong>■</strong></span><span style="font-family:arial;"> Both TV-stars looked menacing out there. Kanegou and Ishimara are famous for their appereance at "Palace Run", which is a famous television show in Japan. The balded Ishimara stated that he and Kanegou are going to crush every single guy who are brave enough to step into the ring with them. Kanegou continues and said that he's looking forward to give opponents the black paint over their faces.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

</span><span style="font-family:arial;"><strong>■</strong></span><span style="font-family:arial;"> Motoyuki Miyake and Nigel Svensson were a bit disgusted by the barbaric behaviour of the TV-stars. Miyake noted that he's eager to fight against opponents from outside and that he's going to be the next big thing after being the best wrestler in RISE. The former WCG World Tag champion Nigel Svensson smirked around. The swede said that Miyake's comments are basically the same what he was going to say. He thinks that he's much better than Miyake and others and that he has shown it by not getting pinned or submit yet in a bout in WCG. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial;">

First of all i just want to tell you a bit about Pacific Battle. It wasn't the plan to have a Okamoto title defense at this show, however Findlay made me angry. He got injured just before Explosion (which was the show he had his titlematch) and then he signed a contract with USPW. But i already had the confrontation between Findlay and Razan, so it was a must book thing to do the match at Pacific Battle.</p><p> </p><p>

The whole Cage-Sarumara thing came to my mind while booking Explosion in TEW. I thought man it would be so cool to have an interpromotional titlematch with one of NYCW. I had Roger Cage on the New York side and looked for the right opponent at my roster and discovered Sarumara. I love this man, i'm using him on my "Indy Sleaze" feds since TEW 2013 and i think it made perfect sense to have an Sports Entertainer vs. former Shoot fight guy in a match. Sarumara captured the title obviously and will go into the S-1 Festival with a belt, which is pretty cool tbh. The "best thing" is that Cage also got signed by USPW, so a rematch won't happen. </p><p> </p><p>

The whole idea of RISE, which is pretty obvious a rip-off of NEVER, was in my head for months. I liked STEP UP but i felt it was the right time to pull the trigger for RISE. RISE will have their own shows and i'm really looking forward to book outside talent. You can pretty much say that RISE will be like STEP UP a bit, but even more competetive. It's like Dark in <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=548893&page=19" rel="external nofollow">Daltons AEW</a> where he test around with many indy talents. I like a big roster and i like to test out new guys, so i thought it would be cool to have the Takeshi's guy debuting at RISE 1 and 2. </p><p> </p><p>

An easy place to make mistakes that doesn't sound like it's for young lions.</span></span><p><span style="font-family:System;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:System;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Also the idea of tryouts for outside talent, either from different countries or from Japan would be a good place for them to start. Instead of losing a bunch on tour give them a shot on a quick RISE and see what they're working with. Maybe you'll find interest in people you never thought you would.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:System;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:System;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Glad I could be of service with the backstory for the "Palace Run" boys. I'm curious how he'll turn out, I see Robinson as the more successful of the two so I wanna see Svennson prove me wrong.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:System;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:System;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Japanese Phoenix can stop whining now, he gets the tournament he's been asking for. Good name too!! Will it be a single elimination or round robin tournament? </span></span> </p></div></blockquote>
