<div style="text-align:justify;">In a fight in which emotions controlled most parts of the fight one wrestler kept the overwiew: Tadakuni Toshusai pinned former WCG World Tag Team titleholder Sterling Whitlock while Torii had his fights with Smith and Suzuki clashed with Pavel Vanzycha a numerous times. Toshusai celebrated alone in the squared circle and got ambushed again by Sakai and Kikuchi. Loud boos rained on the two when suddenly Gonkuro Kamioka, a close friend of Tadakuni, jumped the guardrail and saved his friend from more attacks.

<div style="text-align:justify;">Overcoming a team with two studs is always a success. It's even bigger when you dropped them in your first title defense after you received a loss against them just a couple of shows ago. "Ice Cold" Ray Snow lived up to his name when he showed zero fear when he was outnumbered against the Mad Dogs.

Svensson came to the rescue in literal the last second, the Swede took Konoe in a choke and outside of the ring and prayed for a win. Snow and Makioka had a great crunch time, Zeshin nearly made the win with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Snow recovered with a Backdrop Suplex for a close two count. A Spinning Back Fist to Makioka's occiput lead the way for the Back Fist to the forehead for the win.

<div style="text-align:justify;">A match between two friends, two allies isn't very common in wrestling. Most of the times it's a bad guys versus a good guy, two guys who hate each other but not in this world title match. Ikoma and Okamoto are friends since their days in Black Canvas, allies in White Canvas to fight for a dream. It was a respectul affair which got a little heated when Okamoto wasn't keen to stop at a rope break count.

The finishing sequence was quite exciting when the two countered their big moves several times until Okamoto finally hits his dangerous Knee Strikes to Ikoma, who crumpled to the mat. A Brainbuster Suplex was too much for "Blast", V7 was in the books.

It wasn't a big surprise that Greg Gauge came down to the ring to challenge Razan Okamoto to a titlematch at Anniversary. The Rogue Squad leader not only challenged Okamoto, he also stated that he's going to leave WCG as the champion when his contract will expire at the end of January. Okamoto smirked, answered that he has no respect for Gauge and his friends because they clearly have no idea what "Puroresu" means. However "The Dreamcatcher" accepted Gauge's challenge for January 7th!

COMMENTS

Razan Okamoto: „Gauge is annoying. He talks, talks, talk -- His contract is expiring? Is that true? However I'm not interested in his mind games, I have zero respect for him. He's a good wrestler, but his attitude s*cks. He cheats often and that's not the way of White Canvas Grappling. I will teach him a lesson on January 7th, trust me.“

Ray Snow: „They're so strong. I'm super happy that we got them. Nigel is a monster, he's always there for me, he has my back every time. I'm greatful to have him as my partner. I don't know if we're going to have a match at Battle Final, but our eyes are on the Tag League. We're aiming to win the league as champions.“

Tadakuni Toshusai: „They're cowards!! Ambushing a man who had a match, is exhausted... I demand a match against them, please Fukazawa-san, please give me both of them. My good friend Kamioka is on my side, we know them, please let them fight at WCG.“

Another great show and another great defence for Okamoto! You have a real knack for keeping storyline’s going across the card, which isn’t always easy with Japanese feds - it’s sometimes easy to just let people get lost in the shuffle of endless six-man tags. Looking forward to seeing how Okamoto goes against Gauge, surely his reign comes to an end soon but not sure if this is the time!

WCG president Junnosuke Fukazawa announced that the 2nd Hanami Cup will take place during the Battle Final tour. Eight young boys have the chance to crown themself as the best young boy in White Canvas Grappling. With Heiji Noguchi (Golden Canvas Grappling) and Leroy Fraser (New York City Wrestling) two wrestler outside of WCG participate in the tournament alongside WCG's young guns.

WCG Intercontinental Champion Bunrakuken Torii nominated former WCG Tag Team titleholder Fujio Narahashi as his first challenger: „He's very talented and one of the best tag team specialist of the world. I know he had some chances in the past for gold and glory, but I think it will be a great match between us. I mean Okamoto nominated Ikoma as his challenger the last time, then I can nominate Narahashi as mine.“

Tadakuni Toshusai was happy. The former BHOWTG man finally had a chat with WCG president Fukazawa to get his wish granted. His attackers, Heihachiro Sakai and Brute Kikuchi, could compete in a WCG squared circle very soon. „I'm very grateful that it will happen soon. Sakai was a close friend of mine, attacked and ambushed me for no reason. We should settle our differences in a ring and not by ambushing people.“

Relatively inconspicuous between those men was Gonkuro Kamioka. Also a former Burning Hammer guy recently released by the company came to rescue Tadakuni Toshusai in Nagoya. Kamioka is going to work for WCG from now: „I'm going to help him no matter what. He helped me so much in the past while working at BHOTWG, I'm glad I can finally help him and return the favor.“

- In Saitama Heihachiro Sakai talked about his aces up his sleeve, today these aces came alive. Shiomi attacked Billy Robinson again, however the main focus was on the attackers of Tadakuni Toshusai outside of the ring while Kamioka had to deal with Kikuchi inside. Toshusai's former friends the Mad Dogs, Zeshin Makioka and Taheiji Konoe, ambushed Tadakuni and alligned themselves with Sakai and his little group! Backstage Sakai told the press that they're going to release a statement soon.

Special Singles Match

Hitomaro-Suzuki.png77gWQsH.pngPavel-Vanzycha.png

<div style="text-align:justify;">It wasn't a surprise that this match was a technical masterclass. Hito Suzuki and Pavel Vanzycha had great exchanges, compelling mat-wrestling moments and an exciting crunch time. Suzuki was successful in reversing Vanzycha's Cross Armlock into a submission move of his own. After a precise forearm strike Vanzycha was done and caught with the Suzuki Lock.

During Suzuki's celebration a very known theme hit the speaker and Yokohama went nuts. The legend Eisaku Hoshino came down the aisle to the ring and stood calmly right before Suzuki's very eyes. The former BHOTWG and PGHW man made it pretty clear without speaking into a microfon: He wants a piece of Suzuki!

<div style="text-align:justify;">Carried by the WCG faithful in Yokohama, the Gaijin Wrecking Crew overcame their biggest challenge so far. The Brothers In Vengeance were brute, reckless and precise at the same time. Nigel Svensson received a loss at RISE to Hiroshi Morisue and you could see that the swede had his problems with the "Mohawk Of Insanity". The key to victory was found when Snow "backfisted" Morisue from the Apron, Sakata was isolated from that point and had to tap to Svensson's Arm Lock.

<div style="text-align:justify;">It wasn't meant to be! Fujio Narahashi fought like a lion against Torii but failed to capture the title for now. He sweat, bleed and screamed for his dream to be a singles titleholder in WCG, however the "Machine Gun" lived up to his name when he chopped Narahashi's chest raw, nailed him with a Forearm Smash twice to defend the title for the first time since winning it for the second time.

More important for Narahashi was the aftermath. The former tag champ crawled out of the ring and immediatly got attacked by his former friend and tag partner Azumamaro Kita, who was sidelined the last weeks. Torii had no idea of the idea, he was focussed on his next challenger coming down the aisle.

COMMENTS

Bunrakuken Torii: „I'm glad Smith challenged me. I know that he's one of the good guys in Rogue Squad, he likes to fight properly and clean like myself. He's a big challenge, maybe the biggest I've ever faced being the WCG Intercontinental champion. It's a proper match for January 7th, trust me, you won't be dissapointed.“

Hitomaro Suzuki: „Man that was something, huh? You see, I already left a mark on WCG in the short history of this great promotion. I became an IC champion, I won the WCG Trophy and the prestigious S-1 Festival on top of that. And still many fans are right that I never won the big world title yet. I'm amazed that a legend like Eisaku Hoshino came to WCG today to challenge me to a match at the 3rd Anniversary. A match with him is my world title challenge, my chance to bask in the glory of a living legend of our beautiful sport. Bring him on!“

Heihachiro Sakai: „Are you for real, Tadakuni-chan? Those punks are your army to beat us, huh? You're pathetic. Did you see my army tonight? Your former allies turned on you long ago, joined me and they smacked you from left to right. We are Burning Hazard, don't burn your fingers b*tch!“

Azumamaro Kita: „This can't be real! I stomped Fujio months ago, got injured and now he's got a title challenge?! I'm speechless. I demand an answer from White Canvas Grappling now!! I'm back, healthy again and what happened again? Yep, I stomped him again. Let's have a meeting Narahashi soon.“

Dalton almost with a clean sheet:p

Next up is the S-1 Tag League. I'm toying around with ideas how to get a bit faster through an in-game year. I started the thread two years ago and I'm only two years in-game:D My "Gabe Sapolsky-esque" notebook (because he wrote his ROH booking ideas down in a notebook back in the day, not because I think I'm as good as Gabe!) is full with ideas and matches until 2020, so I would love to be a bit faster in posting and stuff.

Founding Shokka-gun and being a rule breaker, attacking Sarumara and his friends and now he act like he's best buddies with them. He's a hypocrite if you ask me. WCG president Junnosuke Fukazawa announced that this years S-1 Tag League is a one block only tournament. All ten teams having matches against each other, the top two teams will collide in a decision final match on December 15 at Bunkyō Hall.

Six matches are confirmed for the 3rd Anniversary show in Kanagawa Stadium. Fukazawa said that he's expecting a large crowd for their first ever stadium show: „I'm confident that we will have a sell out crowd for the show. Six strong matches are announced and we will announce more to come when the time is right. With a big title defense by Okamoto, a new champion will be crowned between Miyake and Morisue and a legend like Hoshino participating at our Anniversary show is a huge success.“

So I fixed the "images problem" and we're now good again:D

Before I continuing posting let's have a little prediction key if you're interested. This one will be the last one for the 2018 year of WCG, in 2019 I'm going to crown a winner who's getting some sort of a prize.

S-1 Tag League 2018 Prediction Contest

Participating teams

Gaijin Wrecking Crew (Nigel Svensson & Ray Snow)

Mad Dogs (Zeshin Makioka & Taheiji Konoe)

White Justice (Kimitada Yanagita & Sotatsu Sarumara)

The Berzerkers (Tatsukichi Shichirobei & Toyokuni Hardcore)

Maro Shimizu & Omezo Shikitei

Naozane Goto & Captain White Canvas

Hirokichi Yoemon & Kado Kamisaka

Tanyu Toshusai & Noburo Ikoma

Sterling Whitlock & Pavel Vanzycha

The Ring Generals (Dean Waldorf & Marv Statler)

1. Which teams will be in the tournament final?

2. Which team will be at the bottom of the table?

3. How many losses will the current tag team champions (Gaijin Wrecking Crew -Nigel Svensson & Ray Snow) receive?

4. Ring Generals or Mad Dogs? Which team will have fewer points in the end?

5. Is Captain White Canvas going to beat someone?

Have fun:)

Going to update the thread today. I figured out that posting more "road to shows" will be much better for me as a writer to do, so you can expect four shows in one post today. I know tournament nights aren't the classic "road to shows", but tag team tournaments are pain in the ars* for me lol
