So why not him then? If it's either yourself or FellaLibby as a killer due to you both being blocked and there being no sign of protectors around, surely you should know 100% that FellaLibby is scum and that would be your top pick? Seems weird you wouldn't pick him at all....

Lukess or Crychon. I trust Fella over Lukess and out of everyone else remaining Crychon is someone I don't have a proper handle on.

Yup, my bad. I think I pretty much 100% screwed up the game for the town. Between that and my choices for my ability that didn't seem to work out.

 

It didn't help that I was already feeling kind of anxious that day. To not only choose but completely screw it up means that I think I'll be out for at least a game at this point.

I think you're being WAY too tough on yourself in this post.

 

1. With the rabbitman vote, there was a lot of pressure on you, MoT, Lukess since it was only you 3 making the call. A mislynch on D3 wasn't the end of the world and then, after the night phase party, Rabbit was given a strong town lean by most.

 

2. Your power connected a townie and a scum, which was the goal. In fact, DJ even messed up once or twice and posted scum chat stuff in the mason thread. Luckily he either deleted it prior to Derek b seeing or it worked for both chats. Your plan was accurate, it just didn't help that both Derek and DJ are smooth talkers and trusted each other.

It was a bad place for you so don´t beat youself up on that, I thought you actually made the right decision at the time and I was TSS´s backup don so even though I was tecnically town, it wasn´t that bad hit for town other than making the numbers a bit worse.

Yeah, I was surprised when I told Derek b that we needed to get rid of at least three more non-scum to win, he was like "I can help tonight!" and got rid of MoT for us.

 

And MoT... He gets the Vainglory "Best Scummy" award for killing Bluestar n1.

 

Your little mis on Rabbit is NOT the thing that broke the game, IMO.

 

We were exceptionally lucky in many other areas of the game.

Plus, I played pretty badly on day 3 and put myself into that lynch position because my own missplays so got no-one than myself to blaim on that.

Oh goodness. I was so struck with surprise when I got lynched (with what I came up as). I figured things would go down a lot differently than I expected, on several fronts. When I saw the two alignments hit the graveyard early on, I did my best to put on a town game face, but then real life also got the best of me at crucial times where I could've maybe convinced one or two more souls to look elsewhere.

 

And yeah, Night 1 I think will stand out as the big doozy of the entire game. I had a lot of fun this game, and thanks IER for running it and rolling out the roles/epilogue so quickly.

You know what the town could have done with? A serial killer under their control

 

I seem to be making more and more mistakes in mafia - apart from my obvious one a made a couple of light slips while defending myself. At least I can reassure myself that once I hadn't claimed vig (which was potentially the only claim that could have saved me), the town should always have lynched me, so my mistakes just made it easier for them.

 

Thoughts on the council? Did it make things interesting or was it just an unnecessary bother?

 

Good - gave the game something to talk about in the early game. Delayed my lynch as well (by hours, not days) while people sorted that out

 

However, if this had been a closer game which went down to much smaller numbers, there could potentially only been one council member elected, who could then hugely influence the game. I wonder if maybe after there were less than, say, 7 people left the Council would be disbanded.

 

Good game though, pity so many died so early, but even near end game if one scum had been lynched there was a chain linking a few that could have changed the game around.

 

Be interesting to know if Derek thought he had been changed into a lover like DJ did, which would help explain why he was still alive... revealing scum but not being able to action it without committing the suicide.

Well... that could have gone better.

 

First up, thanks to IER for modding the game, I had a blast. Second, congrats to scum for a well played victory.

 

Crychon, thanks for masoning up me and DJ. I had a lot of fun in our Discord chat there and I think it was clear that I never trusted DJ fully... sometimes I said I did to try to get things done, but my groupings towards the end were very much my real thoughts and DJ wasn't in the full town group for a reason.

 

In case anyone was wondering... my plan on Night 4 was to try to use my kill/PGO to murder as many scum as possible. I was so sure FellaLibby was scum and trying to claim DJ's ability, with me wanting to trust DJ so much but never quite being able to. Had hoped DJ would prove show himself there. Really thought I could take down about 3 scum and then my rules would have worked very nicely for the day we were going to have.

 

Obviously I thought that Vainglory and Scarpa were equal level scum groups too... it was critical to everything and there was no reason not to believe it. I LOVE seeing a hypnotist in there as the actual second kill, that's cool... but thinking we had two equal scum groups is what kept me from seeing what was going on. That... and getting a town result on TSS. In my head with two groups, and one Don killed on N1 already, having a possible result on the second Don was about a 1 in 24 chance... I trusted that result to the end, even when there were times that I probably shouldn't have.

 

Too Sweet Spartan may be getting renamed to Too Good Spartan because he really is too good at this.

 

I need to read through all the roles for more details on what has happened. When I logged in I saw the game had a few pages and thought that was good... then I saw a bunch of names added to Dj and I's discord and knew that was NOT good cos there was no way I killed all the bad guys.

Well, your resident absentee scum checking in. Sorry for not being active all throughout the game, that wasn't my intention and I was really was going to try be active when Zergon got lynched, unfortunately life threw a curve ball and I wasn't able to be online the rest of the game. Sorry for my scum buddies, and thanks for carrying the game. For future reference, always get rid of TSS just to be sure. Lol. Thanks to the mods as well, it was a good game, IER and Rev, although, I felt more of a spectator than a player. Gotta fix that for the next one.

I've also just signed up, something to do whilst waiting for the next game to begin here. Should be interesting I've never played anywhere else before.
