Michaels: “Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another exciting, action-packed hour of professional wrestling here on the Gibson Broadcasting Group family of stations. I’m Peter Michaels and I’m joined by legendary commentator and manager Shane Sneer and this is The Last Rebels!”

Sneer: “It’s great to be here Pete. Tonight we have a big time main event. The number one contender to the Southern Heavyweight Championship, Findlay O’Farraday will be in one on one action against The Silencer in what should be a very physical match. We have a big debut of a promising young star and we’re supposed to hear from Stan Manna.”

Michaels, “It’s a full night so let’s not waste any more time! Let’s go ringside for our opening contest.”

Rex Reeves versus “The Crusher” Naozane Goto w/ Ernie Turner

Rex Reeves, a common name in SCCW, was back in action here despite not being a full time member of the roster, against young Japanese wrestler Naozane Goto. Goto was brought to the ring by Ernie Turner and was dressed like a sumo wrestler. It was very clear why Reeves doesn’t have a full time job in this match as he struggled to do the job of establishing Goto like he was supposed to -- but the crowd really responded to The Crusher and the surprising speed the big man moved with. The BCG prospect made short work of Reeves when he hit him with a thunderous Goto Slam, a big front slam and got the easy three count.

In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Naozane Goto defeated Rex Reeves in 3:47 by pinfall with a Goto Slam.

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “What a debut for Naozane Goto. The big man from the Far East looked very impressive tonight.”

Sneer, “And with Ernie Turner, SCCW’s own manager of champions in his corner, who can tell where that big man is going to go in his career.

Michaels, “That is very true. But up next, we hear from the Southern Heavyweight Champion.”

Jack Griffith came out to the ringside interview set and Peter Michaels handed the reigning Southern Heavyweight Champion looked around at the GBG studios and the crowd that came him such a warm reception.

Griffith, “Last week Findlay O’Farraday came out here crying over spilt milk. He came out here and told all of you that he was robbed. That Stan Manna is the reason he’s not the Southern Heavyweight Champion right now, but c’mon. Each time he’s lost, he’s blamed some other reason. He’s always got an excuse for why he deserves another shot at the Southern Heavyweight Championship. That’s fine. He wants this belt bad, I understand. This belt is the ticket to the big money. It’s the ticket to main events. It’s the biggest payday on the roster. I understand why he’d want it and I understand why he wants another shot at Southern Justice and this belt. So, I accept his challenge, but on one condition. I name the stipulation. If he’s going to get another shot with me, it’s going to be on my terms. I’m not going to tell him what that stipulation is. Not yet. But rest assured, it’s going to be something the SCCW faithful are going to love.”

Jack Griffith walked off the set with that.

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “I can’t wait to find out what sort of stipulation Jack Griffith has in mind for his match with Findlay O’Farraday.”

Sneer, “I know Jack Griffith pretty well and I’m going to guess it is going to be something incredibly violent. Something to settle the score the way men in the South have settled their scores since we first came over the Appalachia mountains.”

Michaels, “Well we will find out soon. Up next, a tag team match between four men looking to get some momentum behind them here in SCCW.”

El Mitico Jr. & Seth Whitehead versus Jose Flamenco & Ricky Douglas

A tag team match between four up and coming performers. It was an interesting contest between two teams that probably are not going to be full time teams, but it fits in the classic southern mold of throwing guys together to see if anything sticks. The crowd wasn’t super into this match, with the exception of Douglas, the rest of the guys are still trying to establish themselves with the audience. The wrestling itself was pretty solid but not spectacular.

The young luchador, El Mítico Jr, hit a picture-perfect Northern Lights Suplex that he kept the bridge for and got the three count and the big win on television.

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, El Mítico Jr and Seth Whitehead defeated Jose Flamenco and Ricky Douglas in 10:16 when El Mítico Jr defeated Ricky Douglas by pinfall with a Northern Lights Suplex.

El Mítico Jr carried the match in terms of in-ring performance.

Michaels, “A big win for El Mitico Jr. and Seth Whitehead. Those two young men have bright careers in front of them. Up next, we hear from Stan Manna.”

PdyiWN6.jpg

Stan ‘The Man’ Manna came walking out to the interview set.

Manna, “Last week, I told y’all that I was bringing something special to SCCW. Somethin’ to help me prove I’m not a one hit wonder. So I made a phone call… And I got my best friend and my lead guitarist. That’s right, the band is getting back together. ‘Cause Rockin’ Ryan is here in SCCW.”

h4NpB30.jpg

Rockin’ Ryan comes out with his guitar and the crowd boos as Stan grins.

Manna, “That’s right. The Rock City Stars are here in SCCW and we’re going to rock and roll all over this company.”

The Rock City Stars walk off the set.

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “The Rock City Stars are here in SCCW! This could only mean big things for the tag team division here in SCCW.”

Sneer, “We just keep getting more and more competitive here.”

Michaels, “We certainly do and up next, Regular Joe looks to score a major singles win against the experienced Rick Sanders.”

Regular Joe versus “Old School” Rick Sanders

Regular Joe has been on a roll recently with his tag team with Riley McManus and this was a good opportunity for him in singles action against the experienced Rick Sanders. The old-school minded Sanders controlled most of the match and exerted his will on Regular Joe, but Joe was able to counter an attempted Sleeper Hold and take control, going on an offensive spurt that ended when he hit the Joe and Behold, a Camel Clutch Cradle, and got the three count.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Regular Joe defeated Rick Sanders in 9:52 by pinfall with a Joe And Behold.

EjdrcWN.jpg

Michaels, “Regular Joe with the marquee win! That’s a much-needed win for him here and now it is time… Time for the main event.”

2MnrCLE.png

oQRL1Fz.jpg

The Silencer comes walking out before his match.

The Silencer, “I’m tired. I’m tired of guys like Sgt. Bubba Lee West. I’m tired of bullies. I’m tired of people trying to hold people down. Last week, Bubba Lee injured Desert Storm. He injured my friend, my partner in battle. Who knows when or if Desert Storm will be back after what Bubba did do his throat. I can’t stand for that. I’ve spent my entire adult life-fighting in other people’s wars. I’ve spent my life standing up to bullies and tyrants and despots. Sgt. Bubba Lee West is no different. Bubba, I know you’re in that back somewhere hiding from me. I know you can hear me right now. I want you in that ring. I want you one on one. We’re going to settle this, me and you.”

The Silencer walks off the interview set and into the ring for his match.

The Silencer versus “Hacksaw” Findlay O’Farraday

Sometimes, two big hosses getting in the ring with one another and it is like two bulls locking horns in the middle of rutting season. The decorated military officer and the bully from Georgia. This was not a classic catch-as-catch-can style match. This wasn’t a British World of Sport contest. This was two guys throwing hands and seeing who could stay standing. It was very physical and the action was good. The crowd was pretty into everything they did. The Silencer gained the upper hand and looked like he was about to put “Hacksaw” away when Sgt. Bubba Lee West came walking out. Bubba -- the man who was challenged by The Silencer just before this match, didn’t actually interfere in the match, but his presence distracted The Silencer and opened up for Findlay to seize control and hit his Atomic Spinebuster for the big win.

In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Findlay O'Farraday defeated The Silencer in 14:27 by pinfall with an Atomic Spinebuster. During the match we also had Sgt. Bubba Lee West distract Silencer.

2MnrCLE.png

HYre8mQ.jpgNHTJB7Y.jpg

Michaels, “I can’t believe it! Bubba Lee West cost The Silencer again. These two are on a collision course that is going to get incredibly violent, but next week Sgt. Bubba Lee West will be in action as he faces the incredibly powerfully Justice Jolson in singles action.”

AlNDyXF.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “What a night of professional wrestling action we had tonight. Findlay O’Farraday and Jack Griffith will be going at once more in just two weeks. Hopefully, next week will find out what stipulation Jack Griffith has in mind for their match up. Make sure you tune in next week to catch all the action here on The Last Rebels. For Shane Sneer and everyone here at GBG Studios and SCCW, I’m Peter Michaels saying goodnight.

Sneer: “And what a night we have tonight. Jack Griffith is scheduled to announce the stipulation for the Southern Heavyweight Championship match at Springtime Slamdown. Plus, Sgt. Bubba Lee West is in action.”

Michaels, “It is an action packed line up and let’s not waste anytime. We’re scheduled to have Land Mass, yes, that Land Mass, in action against Naozane Goto -- the Crusher from Japan but… Here comes Jack Griffith. He doesn’t want to wait until his scheduled time!

2MnrCLE.png

WcR5asq.jpg

The Southern Heavyweight Champion came roaring out to the interview set. He’s full of fire tonight.

Griffith, “Pete. Shane. I’m fired up tonight, baby. I’m fired up because I get to stand here, in front over 800 screaming SCCW fans. I get to stand out here on the Gibson Broadcasting Group’s family of stations. I get to stand here on The Last Rebels and I get to tell the world that at Springtime Slamdown, me and that big bastard from Cobb County Georgia are going toe to toe. He wants what I have and I want to make sure that he never, ever, forgets what Southern Justice stands for. I’ve been thinking long and hard about how we’re going to do this.”

Griffith takes a dramatic pause and looks around the studio.

Griffith, “I decided on a match I learned a long time ago. A match that me and Jesse Christian waged war in all those years ago. A match that made me bleed. A match that took years off my career and maybe even my life. A match that is guaranteed to leave the best man standing and make sure the best man is the Southern Heavyweight Champion. I’m talking about the… TENNESSEE DEATHMATCH!”

The crowd gasps. They haven’t seen one of these in years.

Griffith, “No submissions. Not just an ordinary pinfall. No time limit. Just two men beating the hell out of each other until not only do you get pinned, but after being pinned you still can’t answer the ten count of senior official Alvin Lavin. The match can end anywhere in the building. It can end anywhere in the city. Hell, it can end anywhere in the damn world. It might last five minutes. It may last five hours. Either way, only one of us will leave, only one of us will survive and only one of us will be Southern Heavyweight Champion!”

Jack Griffith walks off to thunderous applause.

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “A Tennessee Deathmatch!?!?! Folks, we have to warn you. If you are parents of small children, you will not want them to watch that match as it is guaranteed to be violent. Guaranteed to be brutal.”

Sneer, “I was in one Tennessee Deathmatch when I was a much younger man. It’s the match that changed me from being an active professional wrestler to managing careers full time. The match was that brutal. That vicious.”

Michaels, “I never knew that, Shane.”

Sneer, “I don’t like to talk about it. I still have nightmares from waking up in the back of the building with my own blood dried on the cold concrete floor. I couldn’t move. I had to be helped to the shower. Helped into my street clothes. Driven. Do you know what that does to a man? The toll that takes on a man’s soul? This is not a match for weak men.”

Michaels, “And neither Jack Griffith or Findlay O’Farraday are weak men… But that is in two weeks at Springtime Slamdown. Up next we have our first match of the night as Land Mass takes on Ernie Turner’s newest charge, The Crusher Naozane Goto.”

Land Mass versus “The Crusher” Naozane Goto w/ Ernie Turner

Land Mass, the former SWF and NYCW monster known for being well north of 400 pounds was in action against The Crusher here. Goto, just south of 400 pounds and a former sumo champion who reached the rank Ozeki, is used to big men like Land Mass. Mass is truly awful and moved around the ring with zero grace, more like a golem than a man looking to win a championship. Goto had his way with the big man. He pushed him around the ring with the footwork one would expect from an Ozeki before hitting him with a Goto Slam that looked like it might have broken some boards in the ring from the sheer mass of humanity that collided with it.

In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Naozane Goto defeated Land Mass in 3:29 by pinfall with a Goto Slam.

GegwXV8.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “What a win for Naozane Goto! Land Mass is a massive man and Goto controlled him like he was a lightweight.”

Sneer, “With his sumo background and Ernie Turner in his ear, Goto could become the most imposing force SCCW has ever seen!”

Michaels, “Well that is two straight wins from the man from the Far East. Up next, Flex Express has a big tag team opportunity with a championship winning duo that is looking for a full time spot. You don’t want to miss this.”

The Aces of Mayhem versus The Flex Express

The Aces of Mayhem, a duo noted for their success in Rip Chord’s Mid Atlantic Wrestling, was looking for a big win here to get them a full time contract in SCCW. They came out hot with lots of slick tag team moves that showcase their experience as a duo -- three regional tag titles to their names made sure they weren’t an easy defeat for the two big powerhouses -- but ultimately the size of Richie and Steel was just too much. The two big men punished Max Mayhem and Steel hit him with a Gorilla Press Slam from the ring to the floor that opened up Richie Riggins hitting the Body Bag, his own version of the Gorilla Press Slam, on Ace Youngblood and got the big victory for his team.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Flex Express defeated The Aces Of Mayhem in 6:34 when Richie Riggins defeated Ace Youngblood by pinfall with a Body Bag.

2MnrCLE.png

LkAVZkW.jpg6sBRKdN.jpg

After defeating The Aces of Mayhem, the two big men walk over to the interview set.

Riggins, “Did you all see that? Who am I kidding. Of course you did. Could Steel and I look better? I don’t think so. Between us, we’re at 9% body fat. Nine. None of you fatsos in the audience know what that’s like. There are some of you here that might be 9% muscle and 91% chocolate.”

The crowd boos.

Steel, “I think you’re being generous to many of these lardos in the audience. But you know who we’re not going to be generous to? Regular Joe and Riley McManus next week here on The Last Rebels when we challenge them for the right to go against the Tennessee Outlaws at Springtime Slamdown!”

Riggins, “That’s right Steel. Next week, right here on the Gibson Broadcasting Group, we’ll be in the ring against those two for the right to go for the Southern Tag Team Titles. It’s a forgone conclusion that it’s going to be us. But we’ll see you next week!

7EqFCw6.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “What a major match up signed for next week’s episode of The Last Rebels. Championship opportunity will be on the line.”

Sneer, “As it should be. If you’re not here to win championships and make trips to the pay window, what are you here for?”

Michaels, “That’s a good question. And up next, two men looking to get some momentum on their side so they can maybe challenge for the Southern Heavyweight Championship in the future, Seth Whitehead and Cobra, will go one on one.”

Seth Whitehead versus Cobra

The former collegiate standout, who happens to hold the most pins in the history of the University of Minnesota’s storied wrestling history, where he was a four year wrestler and twice went to the finals of the annual NCAA tournament (though he lost both times), he was still an All-American wrestler. Cobra, the methodical man who manipulates and plays mind games to get what he wants. Whitehead came out strong, looking for a double leg takedown (that he got), and he asserted his will over Cobra for most of the short match, but on a second attempt at a double leg, Cobra saw it coming and hit Whitehead with a snap DDT that laid the young man out and got Cobra the victory.

In an extremely short match, Cobra defeated Seth Whitehead in 4:48 by pinfall.

“American Eagle” Roger Monteiro versus Whisky Jack w/ Ernie Turner

The young Roger Monteiro came out with a lot of fire against the experienced beer drinker and wrestler, Whisky Jack. While this match wasn’t long, it was very physical with Jack pummeling the smaller Monteiro. Jack hit him with a barrage of tape-fist punched that Monteiro tried his best to absorb, but ultimately the less-experienced, less-physically imposing man was overwhelmed by the bigger Jack, who hit a Face First Suplex to get the pinfall victory.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Whisky Jack defeated Roger Monteiro in 5:53 by pinfall with a Face First Suplex.

Ernie Turner walked over to the interview booth where he was joined not just by Whisky Jack, but also by Blackjack Robbins and Naozane Goto. The three men not named Ernie Turner didn’t do anything but stand there and look scary and/or impressive and/or intimidating while Turner did the talking.

Turner, “Look at this collection of men standing around me. I’m building a group of men that are unstoppable. Look at the Tennessee Outlaws. Undefeated as a team since SCCW returned to the world. Unstoppable as a tag team. Goto is unstoppable in the ring. He’s a crusher. An absolute crusher. The three of them together will dominate SCCW. With me behind them, who will stop us? Jack Griffith? He trembles in fear at the idea of any of them! Riley McManus and Regular Joe? Brady Prince? Who? No one! Turner Enterprises is taking SCCW over. Soon you’ll see us with all the gold.”

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “Well not only did Whisky Jack get the win, it looks like Ernie Turner is building himself an empire here in SCCW.”

Sneer, “As all great managers should aspire to do!”

Michaels, “You’re probably right about that -- but up next we have our main event.”

HYre8mQ.jpg

Sgt. Bubba Lee West comes marching out before his match. Before the main event, he took the microphone.

West, “Last week that puke, The Silencer, came out here and he called me all sorts of things before he challenged me to a match. We said all sorts of awful things about me but then he wants me one on one? Fine. But you will regret it.”

Justice Jolson versus Sgt. Bubba Lee West

The main event pit two big powerhouses against one another. West, the former Army Ranger in incredible shape and an incredible physical specimen was up against the man with the American colors painted on his face and a physique that won him the title Mr. Pittsburgh and almost won him the [i[Mr. America[/i] contest. This match was old school. They took their time over the eleven minutes to tell the story. Jolson’s power was able to overwhelm West, but West kept getting salty. He threw lots of short, closed fist punches that the referee Alvin Lavin kept threatening to disqualify him over and at one point looked like he was about to, but West was able to convince him not to. Jolson hit a big stalling suplex that was incredible to watch him hold West upside down for over thirty seconds (the fans counted along). Another short closed fist and a Recon Wrench, a Full Nelson Slam, and West had the big victory heading into Springtime Slamdown!

In a decent match, Sgt. Bubba Lee West defeated Justice Jolson in 11:13 by pinfall with a Recon Wrench.

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “What a night of professional wrestling action we had tonight. Justice Jolson almost defeated the very dangerous Sgt. Bubba Lee West and Naozane Goto continues to build momentum. Next week, we will find out who will challenge the Tennessee Outlaws for the Southern Tag Team Championships at Springtime Slamdown and you do not want to miss that!”

Riggins and Steel make a good team though, and the duo called The Flex Express isolated Riley McManus from his partner. The young man from Georgia sold his ass off for Riggins and Steel. They hit him with big suplexes. A couple of elbow drops that had some posing to go with them. Riggins and Steel are a perfect kind of big old school heel tag team and they are really jelling as a team -- but when Riley fought through them to make the hot tag to Regular Joe, the people came out of their seats. Joe came in like a house of fire. Punch, punch, clothesline, clothesline, dropkick, dropkick. Unlike most luchadors, El Mítico Jr is more of a technician than an aerial artist -- though he does take to the sky every so often -- he prefers the ground game and it really caught Sanders off guard. El Mítico Jr had several quick pin attempts that almost got the victory. The masked grappler went for a snap suplex and Sanders, in an attempt to block it, inadvertendly thumbed referee Alvin Lavin in the eye. Lavin turned away from the two men because of it, and Sanders reached in to his tights and pulled out a pair of brass knuckles. A hard punch from them knocked El Mítico Jr out and Sanders put the knuckles back in his tights and made the cover. Lavin turned around and counted the three.</p><p> </p><p> In a decent match, Rick Sanders defeated El Mítico Jr in 10:01 by pinfall after using a foreign object.</p><p> <img alt="gUMXSOo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gUMXSOo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="2MnrCLE.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2MnrCLE.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Michaels, “What a night of professional wrestling action we had tonight. If you are in the Atlanta area, you do not want to miss this event! “Southern Justice” Jack Griffith will put the Southern Heavyweight Championship on the line against “Hacksaw” Findlay O’Farraday in a Tennessee Deathmatch that is sure to leave both men different than they came into the match. Findlay is too likely to be poached and Jack is mister SCCW, as long as he isn't in heavy time decline he should be up here a while.

Springtime Slamdown

Live from the Sweat Box [south East, USA]

Sunday Week 4, March 2016 with 902 people in attendance

kPzRGn7.jpgOzvzrHe.jpg

Michaels: “Hello and welcome to Springtime Slamdown. What a night we have for you tonight! The Southern Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in our main event when Jack Griffith puts the title on the line against Findlay O’Farraday in a Tennessee Deathmatch.”

Sneer: “Make sure you put the kids to bed before the main event. You do not want them to see this. It will be violent. It will be bloody. It will be vicious. It will be a hallmark match, but consider this your parental advisory warning.”

Michaels: “It is a warning we hope you heed. In addition to that, the Southern Tag Team Titles will be on the line tonight as Riley McManus and Regular Joe challenge the Tennessee Outlaws for the belts.”

Sneer: “Will the Outlaws continue their reign or will they find themselves dethroned by the upstart duo?”

Michaels: “We will find out tonight! Let’s go to the ring for our first match of the evening.”

Seth Whitehead & El Mitico Jr. versus Cobra & Jose Flamenco

All four youngsters have been trying to impress and make a name for themselves in SCCW and this match was no different. In the six or so minutes they were given, they wrestled a very technical match, one that might have surprised new viewers who’d expect otherwise given Mitico’s lucha mask, the flamboyant Flamenco or Cobra’s antics with his pet snake at ringside. Some nice back and forth chain wrestling was on display here for the old school SCCW audience and Cobra managed to get the win for his team with a ring shaking DDT on Seth Whitehead.

In a poor match, Cobra and Jose Flamenco defeated Seth Whitehead and El Mítico Jr in 5:41 when Cobra defeated Seth Whitehead by pinfall with a DDT.

El Mítico Jr carried the match in terms of in-ring performance.

"The Hunter" Brady Prince versus "Straight A" Ricky Douglas

Brady Prince continued his quest here to establish himself as a legitimate singles competitor after the departure of Buck Graham. However, Ricky Douglas was anything but willing to let him achieve that at his own expense. What followed was an exciting match between two solid competitors, a classic wrestling contest that highlighted their technical prowess as much as their resilience. Hitting bigger and bigger moves as the excitement built up, the ending sequence saw Douglas go for his finisher, only for Prince to reverse it and keep his shoulders on the mat for a three count.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Brady Prince defeated Ricky Douglas in 9:33 by pinfall.

Justice Jolson versus "Old School" Rick Sanders

The third match of the evening pit the veteran Rick Sanders, looking for one last chance at glory, against the up and coming Justice Jolson. Jolson looked like a million bucks physically here and Sanders and Jolson had a solid, but unspectacular old school affair. Sanders knows his limitations and he sticks to what he can do -- wrestle on the ground and throw some hands. Jolson is still learning the ropes and is still green -- but his moves all look good and with his physique, he could be the big star of the SCCW in the same vein as the on-hiatus Jesse Christian. Sanders worked over Jolson for most of the match before Jolson used his power to make the big comeback and hit The Death Penalty, the Running Powerslam that is very effective and got him the win.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Justice Jolson defeated Rick Sanders in 7:48 by pinfall with The Death Penalty.

The Silencer versus Sgt. Bubba Lee West

A rivalry that began since the first ever episode of Last Rebels with roots in both men’s past, this match really felt deserving of its title as a grudge match. Things were very personal and it showed in the stiffness of West’s moves as well as the intensity of the Silencer’s attacks. Fans were solid in support of the former Army Ranger who was fighting for himself as well as to avenge the injury his partner Desert Storm suffered at the hands of West, a fact the psychotic ex drill sergeant made sure to remind everyone at every turn as he once again seemed to aim for Silencer’s throat, almost in mockery. This focused offense eventually took its toll on the Silencer’s breathing, slowing him down enough for West’s killer instinct to kick in, the subsequent onslaught forcing referee Alvin Lavin to jump in and stop the match in fear for the Silencer’s well being.

In a decent match, Sgt. Bubba Lee West defeated The Silencer in 11:48 by stoppage when The Silencer was injured and could not continue.

The Southern Tag Team Titles were on the line in the semi-final match. The crowd had seen some solid action so far but this was the first of two championship matches. The young upstart team, Joe & McManus came out like a good white meat babyface team with the American Flag and the people firmly behind them against the salty veteran team that’s been dominating the tag division since the relaunch of SCCW. This match definitely took care to not expose Blackjack and keep him looking good in the fans’ eyes while also getting the young team over. Jack did most of the work for his team while Regular Joe took the heat in the classic Southern tag team style. Jack and Robbins and Turner on the outside are a good act, but it is clear that Blackjack’s body is long since past its sell-by date and that was all the more clear that during Riley’s hot tag, he didn’t actually take a bump for Riley, he just kind of fell through the ropes while Jack took the bumps for the comeback -- but the fans were loving it none-the-less. Jack took a great bump off an over-the-top-rope toss out while Blackjack, the legal man, rolled into the ring. Jack tried to blindside Riley, but Riley ducked and Blackjack took the only bump he took all match -- the Slingshot Suplex, and we have new Southern Tag Team Champions!

In a decent match, Joe & McManus defeated The Tennessee Outlaws in 9:02 when Riley McManus defeated Blackjack Robbins by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Joe & McManus win the SCCW Tag Team Championship titles.

Joe & McManus are celebrating their victory in the ring. They are the Southern Tag Team Champions! They have dethroned the Tennessee Outlaws. While they were celebrating, the Rock City Stars hit the ring and put the boots to the new champions. Rockin’ Ryan grabbed his guitar and he blasted Riley McManus over the head with it and the guitar shattered.

Findlay O'Farraday came out to the ringside area in advance of his championship match. The big man looked ready for war as he looked directly into the camera that was filming this for DVD and then at the audience watching it live.

Findlay, “In just a few moments that bell will ring and Jack Griffith and I will be locked in the ring with one another. Locked in combat. Locked in the most vicious of battles. We will bleed. One of us will not walk out. We will be taken to the limit. War will be waged and neither of us will ever be the same again, but when the blood dries and that final bell tolls I will be standing atop the mountain here in SCCW. I will be the king of the hill. I will be Southern Heavyweight Champion.”

This was a pre-recorded promo for the DVD viewing audience of Jack Griffith in an empty arena. The classic kind of pre-recorded interview that was used in the 70’s and 80’s.

Griffith, “Since I said that I would be putting the Southern Heavyweight Championship on the line in a Tennessee Deathmatch, everywhere I go people have something to say. They have an opinion. They’ve told me not to do it. They’ve told me not to get in the ring with Findlay O’Farraday. When I’m at the gas station or the grocery store, the fans beg me. They say “Don’t do it, Justice. Don’t get in the ring with that man. He’s a killer. He’s a monster. He’s going to hurt you. He’s going to take your title and maybe your career.” But what they don’t understand is that tonight in the Sweat Box… Something heavy is about to come down on Findlay O’Farraday. See, I know I did this to myself. I put myself in this position. I’ve got no one to be mad at. I’m going to hurt after this match. I’m going to be in pain, but Findlay O’Farraday came out here and he called me a coward. He called me yellow. Now I’ve been a lot of things in my life. People know that. They know my past. They know my failings. They know where I came up short. It was in the newspapers. That night in Knoxville with the bottle of Thunderbird and my Pontiac Thunderbird and that tree. They know. I don’t run from it. I’ve never run from everything. Not a fight. Not myself. And damn sure not Findlay O’Farraday. So tonight… Tonight.. I’m going to show Findlay O’Farraday what Southern Justice is all about.”

The main event. The match that almost a thousand people filled the Sweat Box to see. A Tennessee Deathmatch. The rules are simple. No disqualification. No count outs. Falls count anywhere. No time limit. The match doesn’t end until one person has been pinned and then cannot answer the ten count of senior SCCW official Alvin Lavin. Findlay O’Farraday and Jack Griffith looked like they were ready for war. The look in their eyes told the story and the bell rang and neither man immediately moved. They had all night, after all. The initial lockup was intense with Findlay overwhelming Griffith and pushing him back into the ropes. The early part of the match was that story -- Findlay’s power keeping Griffith from getting started, but Griffith dialed back the hands of time to 2002 when he was the Jack Griffith that had the whole South on fire.

He let out some speed and got the crowd behind him with some wild offense early. Multiple big punches that got Findlay stumbling around the ring. Jack hit a big drop kick that sent the big man stumbling through the ropes but not off of his feet. Jack couldn’t knock him down. He grabbed the top tope and used it to slingshot himself from the ring to the outside where Findlay turned around. Jack was looking for a crossbody of some sort and the almost a thousand people in the building were on their feet -- but they saw Jack get caught by the bruiser from Cobb County, who slammed him into the unpadded floor of the Sweat Box.

From here, Findlay was in control and the match got intense and wild. It was a genuine Southern brawl, not to be confused with a hardcore match from the North East or California. Findlay didn’t empty out the ring for weapons. He pounded on Jack Griffith. Suplexes onto the floor. Irish whips into the guard rail. A straight punch to the face. He even sent Jack headfirst into the ring post and that got the blood to flow and man did the blood flow. Within seconds it was running down Jack’s face and the crowd was hot. This was the South. Men are supposed to bleed in main events and they forgot that they were watching a faux-competition. This was Findlay O’Farraday beating their hero. This was the monster on the attack. And attack he did. Viciously. He bit at the wound on the face. He dug his elbow into it.

Findlay hit Griffith with a Back Body Drop onto the apron of the ring and a bloody Jack rolled off the apron onto the floor where Findlay pinned him. He got the three count but by six Jack was standing back up and the people were cheering him on -- only to see Findlay’s size fifteen boot slam into Jack’s face. He pinned Jack again but again Jack was up by six. The crowd was really behind Southern Justice who began to fight back. Big punches that sent Findlay back into the ring trying to get away -- but Griffith was still on the attack. Griffith came running at Findlay, but the big man ducked under the attempted clothesline and hit him with a massive Atomic Spinebuster that got him another three count. There was silence in the crowd as Alvin Lavin counted one...he counted two and three and four and five… The crowd started to pound their feet, trying to will a bloody, battered Jack Griffith to his feet as Lavin passed six and seven and hit eight. Griffith started to stir at nine and just before Lavin hit ten, Griffith pushed himself to his feet just to beat the count and Findlay’s eyes went wide. He couldn’t believe Griffith was still standing.

Findlay started to come at Jack who dug deep into his reserves and leapt for a dropkick that hit flush. Findlay stumbled -- but still did not drop. The big man had yet to drop. A second dropkick and Findlay stumbled again. A third dropkick and Findlay O’Farraday finally left his feet and hit the mat. Griffith roared and ran a hand over his bloodied face. He stared at his blood and it was suddenly as if Jack Griffith was gone and he was just Southern Justice, he was just a man possessed with keeping his championship. His punches found the mark each time. Findlay’s eye split wide open and blood began to flow.

Both men were bloodied now. The crowd was on fire as Jack hit Findlay with the Jack in the Box, his own version of the Spinebuster that he immediately took into the pin. Lavin got to two before the big man kicked out and Griffith immediately lifted him and hit him with a second Jack in the Box, but again just a two count. Griffith hit a third and this time he got the three count and Lavin started the ten count. The crowd was once again silent as the numbers rolled by and when Alvin Lavin hit ten they exploded with cheers. Their hero had done it. He had won. He had vanquished his foe in a blood bath. He was still champion.

In a decent match, Jack Griffith defeated Findlay O'Farraday in a Texas Death match in 23:01 when Findlay O'Farraday was pinned and could not beat a ten count. Jack Griffith makes defence number 2 of his SCCW Championship title.

Michaels: “What a night of professional wrestling action we had tonight. We have new Southern Tag Team Champions and somehow, someway, Jack Griffith was able to retain the Southern Heavyweight Championship against Findlay O’Farraday. We appreciate every one of you who purchased this DVD or was here live. For Shane Sneer and everyone here at SCCW, I’m Peter Michaels saying good night.”

A very well written show, I enjoyed it, thank you.

Thank you. Most of the credit goes to Historian though, he's been the driving force behing these last couple of shows while life's been keeping me busy elsewhere and I thank him for it.

Love the Rock City Stars renders

Me too. From their style, I'd guess willr0ck made them.

Great show and nice to be in on the "start" of this one. As I am catching up on the climb. Small tip put those main event promo's before the second and third match so you do not have the risk of them overshadowing and thus lowering the grade of the semi main and main. Unless that was a tew 2013/10 thing. Sorry been out for a while.

Like my partner in booking crime, I thank everyone for the positive feedback.

It's good to have you on board, Hyde and I appreciate the feedback. I'm not sure if the promos work the same way as they did in 2013 -- I don't think they do anymore, but they might! For me (and I formatted this show since DR was dealing with some real life stuff), I like having the big match promos right before the big match. There's something about it that makes me want to see the match more when right before it I get to hear from the wrestlers. Maybe it's because I really liked the way WCW did that in the late 80's and early 90's, when the promos were right before the matches on a PPV -- though in the future I might try to put them earlier on the show to see what that does for the main event just to find out!
