Michaels: “Hello and welcome to another exciting and action packed episode of The Last Rebels. We are fresh off the heels of the Tennessee Tussle -- and what a show that was. If you weren’t in The Sweat Box in Atlanta, Georgia or with us on SCCW.com, you’ve got to order the DVD. Sure, we can tell you the results but nothing beats seeing the action for yourself.”

Sneer: “They better buy the damn DVD and next time you all better be in the building or on SCCW.com. You missed matches with major implications. The Maryland Alliance are no more -- Buck Graham was pinned by Whisky Jack and thus the sixteen year journey of the Maryland Alliance has come to a conclusion and the Tennessee Outlaws are still standing.”

Michaels: “They are, and that isn’t the only big news coming out of Tennessee Tussle.”

Sneer: “No it’s not, Peter. We have a Southern Heavyweight Champion! “Southern Justice” Jack Griffith has once again climbed to the top of the mountain here. For the third time, he is Southern Heavyweight Champion and he’s the first champion of this new era.”

Michaels: “It was a historic and an emotional moment, no doubt. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the new SCCW Southern Heavyweight Champion, “Southern Justice” Jack Griffith!

WcR5asq.jpg

Jack Griffith comes out carrying the title belt he won at Tennessee Tussle and heads to the interview booth.

Griffith: “I bet everyone wants to hear about how I feel carrying the SCCW Southern Heavyweight title once again or who will be my first challenger, but this isn’t about me or any title contender. This is about all the athletes back in the locker room, each and every one out to prove they are the best of the best. This is about eight men who entered a gruelling tournament, each and every one of which I respect greatly. Here in SCCW, no one gets handed titles or opportunities, we come out here again and again to earn them, to prove we deserve them. That is why that tournament was held, to prove that whoever ended up with this title was indeed the toughest, most resilient, most determined son of a gun. And if anyone knows anything about resilience, determination and fighting an uphill battle, that man is me. Take nothing away from big man Findlay O’Farraday. He is a monster among men. A phenomenal wrestler. He put me through hell in that match we had, but I’ve been through hell one too many times in my life. This title here is proof I’ve survived the journey and came back to tell the tale, just like this company. And that’s… justice!”

Michaels: “There you go folks, Southern Heavyweight Champion Jack Griffith! He’s a man of passion, a man who wears his heart on his sleeve and tonight was no exception”

Sneer: “He speaks from the heart and shoots from the hip, Peter, our champion has seen it all, he’s done it all and really risen from his ashes, much like this promotion he’s now the face of.”

Michaels: “Griffith has a long history but so does this next competitor, the embodiment of old school, Rick Sanders. He is set to wrestle tonight’s opening match against the promising rookie from Minnesota, Seth Whitehead!”

“Old School” Rick Sanders versus “The Man With No Nickname” Seth Whitehead

Once more, Sanders played the part of the veteran out to prove he still has some bullets in his gun before he’ll ride off into the sunset, this time against the young grappler Seth Whitehead. This was another slow, methodical match with plenty of back and forth grappling that showcased both Whitehead’s amateur background and Sanders as the ring general that he is. Never really doing anything that Sanders hadn’t seen and couldn’t answer, Whitehead put on a decent performance but quickly found himself trapped in and tapping out to the Figure Four Leglock.

In a poor match, Rick Sanders defeated Seth Whitehead in 6:08 by submission with a Figure Four Leglock.

GegwXV8.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “Another victory for the veteran Sanders and a good performance from Seth Whitehead in that match”

Sneer: “Sanders was knocked out of that tournament by Justice Jolson, but he’s been schooling rookies left right and center since!”

Michaels: “He’s gotten wins, but lost big matches like that tournament one you mentioned, Shane, or the tag match at Tennessee Tussle.”

Sneer: “Just like the Hacksaw from Cobb County, Georgia. I’m being told he has some comments to make in response to his latest title match and Jack Griffith’s words earlier tonight.”

Y1aF9Ur.jpg

Findlay O’Farraday comes out to the interview area, completely dwarfing the booth.

O’Farraday: “I heard Jack Griffith flap his gums earlier tonight and I came out here to say something myself. Jack, you’re a great wrestler, I’ll give you that. You beat me fair and square in that ring. But don’t try and tell these people you went through hell to beat me. No Jack, you got lucky, that is all. You didn’t get Findlay O’Farraday at 100%. See Jack, just the night before our match, I was in Japan, wrestling one on one against “Machine Gun” Bunrakuken Torii, the only man to ever win all four titles of Black Canvas Grappling. Not even the legendary Pistol Pete Hall was able to pull that one off. And as soon as that match was over, I hopped on a plane and flew all the way to Atlanta for our match. I didn’t get any rest. Matter of fact, I didn’t even get some decent sleep, stuck on them tiny airplane seats as I was for hours and hours. No, I flew straight here, wrestled you and flew straight back to Japan, because I’m a professional. You wanna talk about resilience, Jack? About going through hell? Try surviving that schedule first. I did, but it came at a cost. The cost of wrestling our match when I wasn’t at my best. I know it, you know it and we both know it’s eating you Jack. So here’s what I say. TagMania’s coming up in Japan this month, so I got a lighter schedule. Let’s do this one more time, what do you say?”

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “Sounds like the Hacksaw wants another chance to dance with the Southern Heavyweight champion!”

Sneer: “And it sounds like he has a good reason to want it, I know the jet lag would kill me if I had to call a show after a flight like that, let alone wrestle major matches back to back!”

Michaels: “We’ll keep you posted on whether those two will meet again for the title, right now we have to get to the ring for our next match, the return of Mad Dog Mortimer against Riley McManus!”

Sneer: “We haven’t seen Mortimer since our first episode when he lost to Roger Monteiro. McManus hasn’t been much luckier, he got knocked out of the tournament and lost to Rick Sanders, but he got a measure of revenge against the veteran when he beat him and Masked Mauler at Tennessee Tussle. Can he keep that momentum going against the Mad Dog?”

Mad Dog Mortimer versus Riley McManus

Seeing Mad Dog Mortimer in the ring immediately reminded everyone why he hasn’t been featured since the first episode of Last Rebels. McManus did his best to lead the match despite being the younger wrestler and probably the most entertaining moment in it came when Mortimer tried to steal the flag his opponent carries to the ring. That got a loud, albeit mixed reaction and also created the opening McManus needed to hit the veteran with the Slingshot Suplex for the pin.

In a poor match, Riley McManus defeated Mad Dog Mortimer in 6:25 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex.

EjdrcWN.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “A big win for Riley McManus coming off he and Regular Joe’s successful win at Tennessee Tussle.”

Sneer: “Every win matters and Mad Dog is an experienced veteran. A win over him proves that Riley is as tough as people think he is. Back to back wins is good momentum. Riley’s partner, Regular Joe is in action after this.”

Michaels: “Wait a minute. It looks like we are being joined by Ernie Turner and the Tennessee Outlaws.”

wyLHFJZ.jpg6YXMR0Z.jpgRDdflOJ.jpg

Sure enough, the Southern Tag Team Champions are led out to the interview set by Ernie Turner. Turner looks incredibly pleased with himself and with his teams win at Tennessee Tussle.

Turner: “Did I tell you what was going to happen? Did I tell you that the Outlaws, these big bastards, were going to end the Maryland Alliance and what did they do? They ended them! Because they are the baddest tag team to ever come to SCCW. Four times they’ve been Tag Team Champions and now who wants a shot? The National Guard. The Silencer and Desert Storm. Two tough men, for sure. War heroes, but men who are out of their depth when they get in the ring against these two. But if they want a chance to find out that pro wrestling ain’t the same kind of war they’re used to, the Tennessee Outlaws will give them that chance!”

Regular Joe versus Sgt. Bubba Lee West

Bubba Lee West and Regular Joe had a solid contest between two hard working, talented men. West got great heat throughout the match as the crazy drill sergeant. West had great control over the crowd and everything he did really registered with the audience. Joe is continuing to get comfortable with his first regular work since FCW and it was a good contest that helped make Joe look like the underdog babyface that he’s trying to get established. He sold the Recon Wrench wonderfully and Bubba West got a great win.

In a decent match, Sgt. Bubba Lee West defeated Regular Joe in 9:54 by pinfall with a Recon Wrench.

7EqFCw6.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “Sgt. Bubba Lee West is victorious in a great contest. Both he and Regular Joe are going places here in SCCW, I can tell.”

Sneer: “West is tougher than a two dollar steak and he showed that tonight against a very capable Regular Joe. Jack Griffith might want to keep tabs on the Sergeant, he could be a future challenger for the Southern Heavyweight Championship.”

Michaels: “He very well could be...and what the hell is this? What is going on?”

PdyiWN6.jpg

While Peter Michaels exclaims his surprise, Stan “The Man” Manna comes strutting out to the interview set. Clad in a black leather jacket and sunglasses with his long dark hair wet, he looks like the Rock Star he has portrayed since he first started teaming with Rockin’ Ryan Turner -- who is not with him. Many in the audience seem to recognize Stan.

Manna: “Southern Championship Class Wrestling… The talk of the wrestling world. The happening-company that has been setting records. For the past month, every where I’ve gone, all I’ve heard about is SCCW. This is where you go if you’re a grown man and you want to prove yourself. Well ladies and gentleman, even though I know you already know this, I’m Stan 'The Man' Manna. The Man in professional wrestling. I’m here for Jack Griffith. I’m here for the Southern Heavyweight Championship and I’m here to let everyone know that I am what is happening in pro wrestling. I’ve already talked to the guys in the back. Brady Prince, I know you’re back there and I know you’re a former Southern Heavyweight Champion and your partner just left. So why don’t you lace up your boots and meet me in that ring right over there so I can let these people know just who I am.”

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “I can’t believe it. Stan Manna is here in SCCW! This is a major acquisition for SCCW.”

Sneer: “He’s a hell of a hand and he’s got that Rock star energy. And he’s here? And he’s in our main event against Brady Prince? This is going to be better than the beauty contest at the county fair.”

“The Hunter” Brady Prince versus Stan “The Man” Manna

The main event for the evening was Stan Manna getting his first action in SCCW. The Canadian definitely had the Rock Star air about him. Brady Prince, now solely a singles wrestler, in his first match since the loss of his partner at Tennessee Tussle. This was a solid main event contest that clearly had a goal of making both men look good but establishing Manna as a new player in SCCW. Prince hit several big moves to get near falls and Manna managed to “accidentally” poke Alvin Lavin in the eye. While Lavin recovered, Manna hit Brady Prince with a pair of brass knuckles he retrieved from his jacket on the apron and got the pinfall victory when Lavin was able to count.

In a decent match, Stan Manna defeated Brady Prince in 11:26 by pinfall after using a foreign object.

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Sneer: “And that’s what it is all about! Stan Manna got the job done by any means necessary. That’s my kind of guy, Peter.”

Michaels: “He blatantly cheated!”

Sneer: “It's only cheating if you get caught. He took advantage of the situation. That’s called being a smart professional and now he’s got a ‘W’ in the win column already.”

Michaels: “Oh hell Shane! Unfortunately, we are all out of time. For Shane Sneer and SCCW, I’m Peter Michaels saying see you next week right here on The Last Rebels!”

Michaels: “Hello and welcome to another action packed episode of The Last Rebels. We are coming to you from the GBG Studios and once again I’m joined by the legendary Shane Sneer. Shane, thanks for being here tonight.”

Sneer: “Once again, thank you to the Gibson Broadcasting Group for opening up their studios to the most exciting hour of television you’ll find all week. What a show we have for you tonight. We have a blockbuster ten man tag team match in the main event, plus Steel will be in action against the fourth-generation luchador El Mitico Jr. and Melvin Otto will be going one on one with a debuting Austin Smooth.”

Michaels: “It is a full format, Shane and right now we’re starting things off with the Southern Heavyweight Champion, who would like to address last week’s challenge by Findlay O’Farraday.”

2MnrCLE.png

WcR5asq.jpg

For the second week in a row, The Last Rebel’s opening segment is the Southern Heavyweight Champion, still in his resplendent leather jacket that you can get a replica of on SCCW.com/shop, comes to the interview desk. “Southern Justice” looks to be all business as he takes the offered microphone.

Griffith: “Last week I was riding a high. I was celebrating winning this championship. I was celebrating a victory. I had a reason to celebrate too. I beat a man that everyone has called one of the baddest men walking God’s green Earth. A man who’d make Goliath think twice about going into battle. I was proud of my victory and then what happened? That same man, ol’ “Hacksaw” Findlay O’Farraday came out here in front of all of you and said that my victory didn’t mean as much because he wasn’t wrestling at a hundred percent. He was tired. He was worn down. He’d been travelling and flying and crossing oceans and it had kept him from meeting me in the ring at full strength. I won’t lie, that took a lot of luster out of my sails, folks. I mean, I’m the Southern Heavyweight Champion. I survived three different opponents in the tournament. I’m supposed to be happy but now here I am wondering if I really deserve to be champion. If my challenger is saying he wasn’t one hundred percent, did I beat him at his best? Don’t I want to beat all of my opponents at their best? So the big man issued a challenge. He said he wanted another opportunity at my championship and I’ve only got one possible answer…”

Before Jack Griffith can answer, he is interrupted..

PdyiWN6.jpg

By a sunglasses-clad Stan “The Man” Manna. SCCW’s resident rockstar is coming off a successful debut last week on The Last Rebels. Manna takes a microphone.

Manna: “Before you answer, Jack. I’ve got to say that if anyone deserves an opportunity at the Southern Heavyweight Championship it is a guy who is undefeated in SCCW. A guy who has beaten a former Southern Heavyweight Champion. And that guy is me! Last week I beat Brady Prince, one of the only men to hold both the Southern Tag AND Southern Heavyweight titles. I beat him fair and square in the middle of that ring and I think that I should be the one given a Southern Heavyweight title shot, not Findlay!”

Jack looks around at the crowd. Now he has two challengers for his championship.

Griffith: “I was going to accept Findlay’s challenge but since you want some too… Hell, I’ll talk to Whistler and maybe we’ll make this thing a three way dance!”

The crowd roars with approval at this and Jack sets his microphone down and holds up his championship as Stan just grins and backs off.

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “I gotta say, I’m not happy with the way Stan Manna inserted himself in the title picture, but hopefully Whistler will sanction this match up because I for one would love to see a three-way dance for the Southern Heavyweight Championship.”

Sneer: “You’re definitely not the only one, Peter. I would too and by the sound of it so would the fans here in attendance. But they’re going to have to wait because up next we have the hippie himself in action against a debuting Austin Smooth. Austin Smooth is a youngster from New Jersey that has had good things said about him in some local matchups in the Tri State area. I saw some footage of him locking in something called the Smooth Hold and it might be the most devastating submission I’ve seen since Sam Keith debuted the Proton Lock.”

Michaels: “That is a major claim!”

Sneer: “I mean what I say and I say what I mean, Peter.”

“Easy Money” Austin Smooth versus Melvin Otto

It is no secret that Otto’s strength lies in his character, not his wrestling, so he spent his time trying to avoid Smooth and break up the pace of this match. As if fans didn’t hate his hippy character enough already, having him deny them a proper match had the audience in uproar and young Austin Smooth baffled. The few times Smooth was able to grab him and get some actual wrestling done, Otto always weaseled his way out of it and escaped out of the ring, until he managed to blindside the youngster with a sneaky punch while having some of his hippy jewelry wrapped around his fist. Showered with boos, Otto threw his opponent into the ring and, as if on purpose, delivered what was possibly the lamest looking legsweep to take him down and get away with a dirty pinfall.

In a poor match, Melvin Otto defeated Austin Smooth in 9:56 by pinfall after using a foreign object.

“American Eagle” Roger Monteiro came out to the interview set. The young man has been earning a lot of praise for his work here in SCCW -- his first real opportunity with an organization of any merit.

Monteiro: “It’s always an honor and a privilege to be part of the magic that is happening here in the GBG Studios, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t upset about what happened at Tennessee Tussle. See, I went into that show undefeated, alongside a man hailing from a long line of professional wrestlers, we gave it our best and still somehow we lost. Now I’m not here to complain, I’m not here to blame my partner and I’m certainly not here to take anything away from the Flex Express. They were the better team, they beat us fair and square in the middle of that ring. No, I’m here to wish El Mitico Jr good luck in his match against Steel next and I’m here to tell everyone that the American Eagle may have lost one match, but that’s only made him more motivated to soar even higher!”

El Mítico Jr. versus Steel

Steel came into this match with no shortage of confidence and it was well deserved as he’s not only undefeated still but also defeated Mitico and Monteiro at Tennessee Tussle as one half of the Flex Express. Mitico quickly made him regret it though as he made the best of that opening to use the size of Flex against him. One judo throw later, the big man was on the mat and the masked luchador attempted to soften him up with submission holds. Steel used his power to get back on his feet but Mitico held onto him and Steel stumbled around before he found a way out of that situation as he sandwiched the fourth generation luchador between the corner and his own massive frame. Frustrated, Steel went immediately for the Sidewalk Slam but picked up his opponent with a bit more rush than needed, allowing Mitico to use the momentum in order to wrap his legs around Steel’s head for a rana. Slowly but surely, fans began cheering for Mitico and his uphill battle, buying into him being the David to Steel’s goliath, but it all came into a halt when Mitico’s poor judgement had him go for the Northern Lights Suplex. Too heavy to be thrown up and above, Steel blocked the move and finally managed to pull off the Sidewalk Slam to get the pin in a match he really had to work for the win.

In a poor match, Steel defeated El Mítico Jr in 10:03 by pinfall with a Sidewalk Slam.

Jose_Flamenco_2.jpg

A flamboyant young man in an equally flamboyant shirt comes out and struts his way to the interview booth. His greasy hair, 5 o’clock stubble and possibly his apparent Hispanic heritage seems to draw an odd reaction from the audience.

Flamenco: “Hello fanth of the eth thi thi doubleyou!”

Hearing the man’s lisp and effeminate voice is the straw that breaks the camel’s back and the audience erupts in loud jeers.

Flamenco: “Oh pleathe, hold your adoration… You haven’t theen me wrethle yet and you thertainly haven’t heard what I have to thay. My name ith Jothe Flamenco and I have come here all the way from Mexthico to grathe you all with my prethenthe. From the lookth of it, you thure need to zhooz up your fathion thenthe, tho take thome noteth from the one who doeth it right…”

Flamenco stretches out his hands and slowly spins around to showcase his flashy shirt.

Flamenco: “Now I know you thavageth can’t handle tho much fabulouth at onthe, tho I only came out here tonight to introduthe mythelf, but you will thee me wrethle in that ring real… THOON!”

Justice Jolson, National Guard and Joe & McManus versus Rick Sanders, Ricky Douglas, The Tennessee Outlaws and Cobra

The main event was a classic wild Southern multi-man brawl. Referee Alvin Lavin struggled to maintain any semblance of control. Each side was filled with guys who like to throw hands and get a little crazy -- but each side also had a technician in McManus and Douglas. Tags were few and far between as each team kept getting into the ring when they weren’t supposed to. During the match, Sgt. Bubba Lee West came to ring side to talk smack to The Silencer and Desert Storm and that caused both of them to chase him off. Eventually, Lavin was forced to throw the match out when no one would obey his commands any longer.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Justice Jolson, National Guard and Joe & McManus drew with Rick Sanders, Ricky Douglas, Whisky Jack, Blackjack Robbins and Cobra in 10:07 following a double disqualification. During the match we also had Sgt. Bubba Lee West distract Silencer.

It wasn’t a great match. It was a physical match though telling the story of two men trying not to give anything away. Turner was really good at ringside, really helping get the crowd riled up and against Whisky Jack. Storm looked like he had the match under control when Turner hopped onto the apron. He’s only 21 years old and has only been in the business for two years. It was a big opportunity to be featured against a guy going into the title match at the next big show. Stan has come in with a lot of fan fair and a lot of hubbub. Bubba Lee West</p><p> West entered this match looking supremely confident and indeed, through a combination of size, power and experience he quickly got control over his rookie opponent. Monteiro hadn’t come out for a quick loss in his first ever main event match and just wouldn’t stay down for the cover, kicking out of every pin attempt West made. If there’s one thing the psychotic drill sergeant can’t stand it’s defiance and Montero is all about it, proudly embracing his native American heritage from day one. All this had West frustrated, but the young Monteiro was equally careless and couldn’t capitalize. Matter of fact, he would have almost lost the match to his recklessness, had the Silencer not shown up to observe the action from up close. His presence distracted West and that was all Monteiro needed to pull off the Eagle Chop for the win, ending the show with his hand raised and West glaring down at the Silencer, who was laughing as he had now returned the favor and given West a taste of his own medicine.</p><p> </p><p> In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Roger Monteiro defeated Sgt. The American Eagle got the biggest singles victory of his budding career tonight, even if it came with a little assist from The Silencer."</p><p> </p><p> Sneer, "A little assist?!? Michaels: “Hello everyone and welcome to another action packed hour of television. I’m Peter Michaels and as always I’m joined in the broadcast booth by legendary manager Shane Sneer.”

Sneer: “It’s a pleasure to be back in the GBG Studios right here in Nashville, Tennessee -- the home of country music and Southern Championship Class Wrestling. This is the last show before Hotlanta Hustle and it will have a big impact on the momentum going into our second big show. Last week, The Flex Express let the world know that they don’t believe they can be matched here in SCCW. Who will step up to the challenge? Will we find out tonight?”

Michaels: “Who knows, Shane? I know that Brady Prince is in action tonight against Melvin Otto, The Silencer and Blackjack Robbins are set to wrestle in advance of their tag team match at Hotlanta Hustle and in our main event, “Hacksaw” Findlay O’Farraday is in action against the grappler from Robbinsdale, Minnesota -- Seth Whitehead.”

Sneer: “I’d hate to be Whitehead tonight. Findlay will be in the three way dance for the Southern Heavyweight Championship at Hotlanta Hustle and I don’t want to know what he’ll do to Seth Whitehead tonight to prove a point.”

Michaels: “It should be interesting to say the least. And wait a minute. That’s Roger Monteiro and Austin Smooth out here. What do they have on their minds?”

Roger Monteiro and Austin Smooth come out of the curtain and head to the interview booth

Monteiro: “Me and Austin here, we’re out because we’re pretty upset. You see, last week, the Flex Express came out here and claimed they’re on another level. Well I have news for those buff gym bros. The W in SCCW stands for wrestling! This isn’t a bodybuilding competition!”

Smooth interjects himself to calm down Monteiro and gets the mic to speak as well.

Smooth: “What Roger’s trying to say here is that wrestling’s about so much more than just being strong and looking good. Sure, Richie and Steel look like they were born and raised inside a gym, but there’s a big difference between the gym and the ring. I know it, Roger knows it and we’ll prove it because at Hotlanta Hussle, we’re the ones who’ll get in that ring to answer their challenge!”

Sure enough, Blackjack Robbins is up from the Drop Zone and he blasts The Silencer from behind. The former member of the US Special Forces stumbles forward as Whisky Jack runs to the ring. This brings out Desert Storm to even the odds and it is a wild brawl until Sgt. Bubba Lee West also makes himself known as he runs to the ring and gets involved himself and with his help, the Tennessee Outlaws leave the National Guard down.

Michaels: “We need some medical attention out here. Folks, while we get the National Guard looked at we will take a quick break. When we come back, we will hear from Riley McManus and Regular Joe.”

0RGSI7t.jpgGMCgV8u.jpg

Riley McManus and Regular Joe come out. The two babyfaces get a warm reception from the crowd as they head to the interview set. McManus takes the microphone from Peter Michaels.

McManus: “Y’know. Joe and I feel confident. We feel good. We feel like we could be major players in the tag team division here in SCCW. There are some really good teams here. Tough teams. The Flex Express. The National Guard. The Tennessee Outlaws -- all tough teams. All men fighting for something they believe in. All men fighting for money and championships and to be the best and me and Joe, we want to be apart of that. We want to be in that mix.”

Regular Joe takes the microphone from Riley.

Joe: “We sure do. Riley and I look around and we see a lot of tough men in that locker room and we know there are some guys who don’t have a match at Hotlanta Hussle and we’re saying that if any of them want to get into a fight if any of them want an opportunity to prove themselves and get into the mix in the tag division that they come out here and let us know and we can get something scheduled.”

There is a long moment before anyone comes out and then…

MSsiD5w.jpg

“Straight A” Ricky Douglas walks out. Joe offers him the microphone he was holding and takes several steps back to see what Douglas has to say.

Douglas: “You boys want a fight? Well I want a fight. I thrive on competition. It is the only vice I have. Competition. I’m not booked on Hotlanta Hussle either.”

We can hear Riley talking, even though he doesn’t have the microphone.

McManus: “Well find yourself a partner and we can do this.”

Douglas: “Oh I will. And I’ll see you boys at Hotlanta Hussle.”

EjdrcWN.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “It looks like we have another match at Hotlanta Hussle! Who will Ricky Douglas’ partner be? The only way to find out is to be at Hotlanta Hussle.”

Sneer: “Hotlanta Hussle is shaping up to be one hell of a show! I can’t wait. Can we start now?”

Michaels: “Not yet -- because we still have our main event. Up next, Seth Whitehead challenges ‘Hacksaw’ Findlay O’Farraday.”

Seth Whitehead versus “Hacksaw” Findlay O’Farraday

Seth Whitehead is a legitimate athlete. He has a great amateur pedigree and is in incredible shape. Unfortunately for him, he was in the ring with the Hacksaw...the Big Bruiser… The man from Cobb County, Georgia who just likes to hurt people and win titles and tonight O’Farraday could only do one of those things and he did just that. After an initial flurry of offense from Whitehead, O’Farraday took control and inflicted his will upon Whitehead. Findlay tossed him around like a ragdoll and pummeled him with heavy strikes before hitting the Atomic Spinebuster and putting Seth Whitehead out of his misery.

In a decent match, Findlay O'Farraday defeated Seth Whitehead in 9:14 by pinfall with an Atomic Spinebuster.

Stan Manna comes out and applauds, almost ironically, as the referee raises the hand of Findlay O’Farraday in victory. The two men trade some words off the mic, then Manna is offered a microphone by the studio staff so he can be heard.

Manna: “Congratulations, big man. I hope your match tonight didn’t take that much of a toll, because I don’t want you to have any excuses again when you lose at Hotlanta Hussle!”

O’Farraday grabs the mic out of Manna’s hands and paces around the ring for a moment, trying to settle down a bit before he talks.

O’Farraday: “You watch your tone when you’re addressing a world class athlete, Manna! Because that’s what I am, a world class athlete. I fly back and forth between this place and Japan because I am a man in high demand and my stock is only going to rise higher after I become Southern Heavyweight champion. So you can run your mouth all you want, matter of fact is, once you get in the ring with me, I’m taking you down!”

WcR5asq.jpg

“Southern Justice” Jack Griffith comes out with the SCCW Southern Heavyweight title on his shoulder. Griffith cautiously steps inside the ring with the other two wrestlers and offers his hand, politely requesting the mic so he can talk.

Griffith: “You two seem to forget I’m also in that main event. I am the Southern Heavyweight champion. I’ve been in this business way longer than the two of you combined. I know every trick in the playbook and hell, I’ve waged war against the toughest of ‘em, in this ring and in my own head and here I am, still standing. It ain’t gonna be any different after Hotlanta Hussle. Bring your best, or your worst, both of you. At the end of the night, I’m still gonna be standing tall as the SCCW Southern Heavyweight champion!”

Griffith drops the mic and holds the title high above his head.

7EqFCw6.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “What a show we had here tonight. Hotlanta Hussle will be a great show and we hope to see all of you there. For Shane Sneer and everyone here at SCCW, I’m Peter Michaels saying good night.”

Michaels: “Well I guess we have our answer, Shane. Roger Monteiro and Austin Smooth have accepted the challenge of the Flex Express!”

Sneer: “Well you better go ahead and get the undertaker ready ‘cause I don’t know how those boys think they’re going to stand up to the Flex Express. No disrespect to either, I know they have a lot of heart, but c’mon. The Flex Express look like Michaelangelo himself carved them out of marble.”

Michaels: “That’s one way to put it, but up next we have our first scheduled contest of the evening as ‘The Hunter’ Brady Prince looks to get his singles career back on track as he takes on the Hippie Love Machine himself, Melvin Otto.”

“The Hunter” Brady Prince vs Melvin Otto

Not seen since his loss to the debuting Stan Manna, Brady Prince returned to action in the opening match for the next chapter in his transition from a tag team specialist into a singles wrestler. His opponent was Melvin Otto and though it might not show from his looks, the young hippy is a pretty energetic, scrappy brawler. He’s also a dirty fighter and wasn’t shy to take a shortcut such as an eye poke or rake of the face if it meant getting out of a tight spot, which might explain how he was able to survive over seven minutes in the ring with the veteran. That was the story told in this match, with Otto being the disruptive heel while Prince sought to apply his Maryland Crossface finisher and it was told beautifully thanks to the sublime way their two characters seemed to mesh but once Prince finally made it, Otto slapped the mat like a madman and the match was immediately over.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Brady Prince defeated Melvin Otto in 7:31 by submission with a Maryland Crossface.

EjdrcWN.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “What a statement win for Brady Prince! The Hunter lived up to his name by treating Melvin Otto just like he was prey.”

Sneer: “There is a reason Brady Prince is a former Southern Heavyweight Champion, Peter and he showed it right there!”

Michaels: “Wait a minute. That’s Rick Sanders!”

utvut8G.jpgwuMnMdy.jpg

Brady Prince is celebrating his first singles win when Rick Sanders comes out of the curtain. Without saying a word, he locks eyes with Prince who seems to acknowledge his presence by returning the stare.

2MnrCLE.png

Sneer: “Well slap me naked and hide my clothes -- I think we’ve got ourselves a big fight brewing between those two veterans.”

Michaels: “What did you just say?”

Sneer: “You heard me.”

Michaels: “Unfortunately, I did. Well folks, after this commercial break, The Silencer and Blackjack Robbins will go one on one with each man looking to gain the psychological edge before the Southern Tag Team Title match at Hotlanta Hussle.”

The Silencer vs Blackjack Robbins (with Ernie Turner)

The two big hosses of their respective teams were meeting here. Last week, Desert Storm lost to Whisky Jack after interference from Ernie Turner and The Silencer definitely had to have his head on a swivel as Turner made sure his presence at ringside was felt. Robbins has clearly lost a step from his heyday, but The Silencer sold every shot from Robbins like he was getting blasted by a train which kept the crowd into it. The Silencer reversed what looked like a DDT attempt and fired off several big right hands before hitting a Drop Zone and getting the victory heading into their match at Hotlanta Hustle.

In a decent match, The Silencer defeated Blackjack Robbins in 10:26 by pinfall with a Drop Zone.

EjdrcWN.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “An impressive win for the former member of the US Special Forces. The Silencer definitely has a bright future, both as a singles and in his tag team with Desert Storm.”

Sneer: “You’re right about that, but it looks like Blackjack isn’t done.”

Hotlanta Hussle

Live on Sun W4 Jan 2016 at The Sweat Box in Atlanta, Georgia in front of 780 people

kPzRGn7.jpgOzvzrHe.jpg

Michaels: “Hello and welcome to Southern Class Championship Wrestling’s second major event, Hotlanta Hussle! 780 fans here at the Sweat Box ready for some wrestling action and I know I am ready too, you ready Shane?”

Sneer: “I’m primed and ready to go, as is every man back in that locker room. Some great matches lined up for tonight and both championships will be defended as the Tennessee Outlaws square off against the National Guard and SCCW Southern Heavyweight champion Jack Griffith goes to war with not one but two challengers in Stan Manna and Findlay O’Farraday!”

Michaels: “Thank you to all our fans for joining us, be it live here, watching on sccw.com or by purchasing the DVD, you are the reason all this is happening and you’re the ones keeping it alive. Now, with all that said, let’s get this underway with our first match as Roger Monteiro and Austin Smooth step up to answer the challenge laid by the Flex Express!”

"Easy Money" Austin Smooth & "American Eage" Roger Monteiro versus The Flex Express

An exciting opening contest as Smooth brought his technical prowess to Monteiro’s high energy mix of brawling and high flying, producing a well-rounded package against the powerhouse style of the Flex Express who do one thing and do it well. Austin Smooth used his fast grappling style to turn his opponents’ size advantage against them and more often than not, he would tag in Monteiro who would hit a high flying move against someone that Smooth was holding down. This quickly got the fans behind the underdogs but also made the match way more even than looks would initially suggest. However, chopping down not one, but two big strong men like the Flex Express needed time and in that timeframe, Riggins got lucky enough to hit a counter and take control of the match. From that point on it was all Flex Express, the two bruisers showcasing their teaming experience with double moves that took the wind out of their opponents’ sails, before Riggins hit the Body Bag on Austin for the pin some thirty seconds before the ten minute mark.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Flex Express defeated Roger Monteiro and Austin Smooth in 9:30 when Richie Riggins defeated Austin Smooth by pinfall with a Body Bag.

EjdrcWN.jpg

Michaels: “What a way to start off Hotlana Hussle. The Flex Express just got a big win in a series of big wins and definitely stated their intentions of heading towards the Southern Tag Team Championships soon. They could be a major force in the SCCW Tag Team division for years to come.”

Sneer: “Of course they could be, Pete. Look at them. Two men in such impressive shape. Two young bulls like that? There is no telling what the ceiling for them is.”

Michaels: “We will have to see how their SCCW careers unfold, but up next, we will hear from Justice Jolson.”

2MnrCLE.png

NHTJB7Y.jpg

The big man with the American face paint came out to the ringside area. He took the microphone that was offered him.

Jolson: “I want to make my intentions clear. I want to be the Southern Heavyweight Champion. I want to be the face of the Southern Championship Class Wrestling. I love this business and I love this company and I respect the hell out of Jack Griffith or whomever leaves tonight with the Championship, but I’m coming for the belt. I’m coming for the top spot in the company and I will represent it with pride. I will become Southern Heavyweight Champion and I will be a guy that you can respect and count on and I will lead SCCW into the future.”

EjdrcWN.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “Strong words from a strong man, Justice Jolson is not shy about his ambition and just like every other competitor in that locker room, he wants to be the best. He wants to be the champion!”

Sneer: “What’s the point of being in the race if you’re not out to win it, Peter? This is professional wrestling, this is SCCW and the entire roster is filled with real men looking to prove they’re the best of the best!”

Michaels: “Speaking of proving a point, Regular Joe and hometown hero Riley McManus are scheduled up next, facing Ricky Douglas and an unannounced mystery partner of his choice!”

Riley McManus & Regular Joe versus Ricky Douglas & Cobra

Ricky Douglas’ partner of choice was revealed to be Cobra, the young grappler from the Florida Everglades who likes to bring his pet snake to the ring and has actually adopted snake-like mannerisms as part of his psychological warfare in an attempt to unsettle his opponents. Between that character and the punishing shooter that is Ricky Douglas, Joe and McManus had a lot to work with, both in terms of technical in-ring wrestling as well as a clash of characters that got the live crowd behind the babyface team. Joe worked most of the match and sold his ass off for the heels who cut him off his corner and beat him down before his inevitable adrenaline rush that allowed him to hit some offensive moves and create the separation he needed for the hot tag to McManus. The Georgia native entered the ring to a roar of approval from the fans and before it could wear off, knocked Douglas off the apron and hit a series of moves on Cobra building up to his Slingshot Suplex finisher for the pin.

In a decent match, Joe & McManus defeated Ricky Douglas and Cobra in 12:16 when Riley McManus defeated Cobra by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex.

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “McManus and Joe continue to prove that SCCW has the most competitive tag team division in the United States. With Flex Express also winning earlier tonight, there is going to be some competition for who will challenge for the Southern Tag Team Titles after tonight.”

Sneer: “That is how it should be. Teams of men competing to find out who is the best! Speaking of, up next Brady Prince looks to get himself going on the right track with a match against Rick Sanders. Two veterans of SCCW trying to find out who should still be at the top of the card.”

"The Hunter" Brady Prince versus Rick Sanders

Two veterans in quite different trajectories was the story told in this match. On one hand, Brady Prince, a multiple tag team champion as one half of the Maryland Alliance, transitioning into a singles competitor. On the other hand, Rick Sanders, who in the tail end of his career became known as one half of the Old School Principals after the surprisingly successful teaming between him and the Masked Mauler in New York. What these men had in common though was experience and a rock solid foundation of wrestling skills, which made for a classic old school grapplefest, much to the delight of the traditionalist SCCW audience. It was physical, it was technical and actually pretty even for over ten or twelve minutes before Prince caught his opponent with a mean-looking Brainbuster that was enough to keep Sanders down for the three count.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Brady Prince defeated Rick Sanders in 11:49 by pinfall.

GegwXV8.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “Brady Prince finally gets his first singles win in the reborn SCCW, a victory that has so far eluded him and what a competitor to get that win over, Rick Sanders really left it all out there in that ring.”

Sneer: “There’s still some mileage left in him and he fully intends to… wait, what is that clown doing out here again?”

Jose_Flamenco_2.jpg

Jose Flamenco comes out and heads to the interview stand.

Flamenco: “Thith ith prepotherouth! You people don’t know greatneth when you thee it! But I thould excthpect ath much from an audienthe that cheered for a big muthlehead with paintingth on hith fathe inthtead of the true thar that ith Jothe Flamenco!”

Fans boo, but Flamenco dismisses their reaction with a wave of his hand.

Flamenco: “No no, you idioth have it all wrong… I am not here to complain about not wrethling tonight at Hotlanta Huthle. I’m acthually here to let you all know that I requethted it! Yeth indeed, wrethlerth in that locker room are lining up and begging for a math againth me, becauthe they know that by jutht being in the ring with me, they’re taking a huge thep towarth becoming tharth in thith buthineth. But I thaid no! You people don’t detherve Jothe Flamenco grathing thith event with hith wrethling, so… adioth!

Boos turn to cheers as Flamenco departs, the Mexican talking down fans off the mic as he makes his way backstage.

EjdrcWN.jpg

Michaels: “Jose Flamenco definitely means business, even we can’t always understand what that business is.”

Sneer: “That business is preparing to be a champion! Flamenco, whether you like him or not, is here to be at the top of the card and he very well could be.”

Michaels: “Stranger things have happened, but up next we have the Southern Tag Team Titles on the line as the National Guard steps into the ring with the defending champions, the Tennessee Outlaws.”

Sneer: “This should be one hell of a match.”

National Guard versus The Tennessee Outlaws © w/ Ernie Turner

The Southern Tag Team Championship was on the line next. The Outlaws, who have become perhaps the most important team in the history of SCCW were defending their belts against the National Guard. Both Robbins and Whisky Jack are on the tail end of their careers and as such worked slow and methodical in this match up, which worked for the story being told. While the match itself wasn’t great, the story being told had the crowd very engaged in the action. The Silencer looked like a star in the making throughout the match and when Sgt. Bubba Lee West came to the ringside area and got into it with The Silencer. Ernie Turner had the referee distracted and these dual distractions had Desert Storm confused and allowed Blackjack to hit the Leaping Side Suplex and the Outlaws retained their championships.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Tennessee Outlaws defeated National Guard in 12:56 when Blackjack Robbins defeated Desert Storm by pinfall with a Leaping Side Suplex after Ernie Turner interfered. During the match we also had Sgt. Bubba Lee West run in and attack Silencer. The Tennessee Outlaws make defence number 2 of their SCCW Tag Team Championship titles.

The Silencer carried the match in terms of in-ring performance.

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels: “And the Outlaws are still tag team champions, albeit with a little assist from Bubba Lee West.”

Sneer: “Bubba didn’t do anything. He just wanted a ringside seat to watch his former friends in action. It’s not his fault that The Silencer can’t control himself.”

Michaels: “Whatever you say Shane. Up next, our main event of the evening. The match that we are here to see -- the three way dance for the Southern Heavyweight Championship!”

"Hacksaw" Findlay O'Farraday versus Stan "The Man" Manna versus "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith ©

The main event of the evening had a lot of buzz behind it. This was the match on the marquee. The match that sold the tickets to the show. Jack Griffith’s first title defense -- against Findlay O’Farraday and Stan Manna in the main event of a major show. While it is clear that Jack is probably about five years past his prime and is physically a shell of the athlete he once was, he remains a high caliber professional wrestler. Manna is a solid worker who despite being Canadian, is really taking to the Southern style of working and O’Farraday is clearly the premier worker in the SCCW roster.

The match started with Manna and O’Farraday working together on Griffith and the champion took a beating from the two men. He sold his ass off but eventually O’Farraday and Manna had to take the action to each other which gave Jack much needed recovery time. O’Farraday attacked Manna with a ferocity that he has learned in Black Canvas Grappling. It was incredibly physical and he tossed Stan around the ring. Jack was able to come back and hit several big dropkicks -- channeling the athlete he once was. Manna came back into the ring and he and Jack managed to hit a big double suplex on Findlay O’Farraday that took him out of the match and allowed Jack to hit the Jack in the Box on Stan Manna and get the pinfall.

In a decent match, Jack Griffith defeated Findlay O'Farraday and Stan Manna in 17:01 when Jack Griffith defeated Stan Manna by pinfall with a Jack in The Box. Jack Griffith makes defence number 1 of his SCCW Championship title.

Findlay O'Farraday carried the match in terms of in-ring performance.

The Last Rebels Ep. 9

3cWd304.jpg

Episode Number Nine

Taped on Wed W1 Mar 2016 at The GBG Studios in Nashville, Tennessee in front of 764 people

Ratings: 0.02 (17.040 viewers)

kPzRGn7.jpgOzvzrHe.jpg

Michaels: “Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another exciting, action-packed hour of professional wrestling here on the Gibson Broadcasting Group family of stations. I’m Peter Michaels and I’m joined by legendary commentator and manager Shane Sneer and this is The Last Rebels!”

Sneer: “What a night we have in store for our fans, Pete. We are just days removed from Hotlanta Hussle -- our second big event here since SCCW was reborn in January of this year. At Hotlanta Hustle, the Southern Heavyweight Champion, Jack Griffith, successfully defended his championship against Stan Manna and Findlay O’Farraday and we know that both Findlay and Stan are scheduled to be here tonight.”

Michaels, “They are -- plus the Tennessee Outlaws continue to prove that by hook or crook, they’ll get the job done when they retained, albeit with a little help, the Southern Tag Team Champions.”

Sneer, “They don’t ask how you won, Peter. They ask if you won and the Outlaws keep winning.”

Michaels, “You’re right about that. We’ve got a lot of action in store for you tonight so let’s not waste any more time. If my format is correct, we’re supposed to be starting our show with Justice Jolson and Melvin Otto -- wait, what the hell is this? He’s not supposed to be out here yet.”

2MnrCLE.png

Y1aF9Ur.jpg

Findlay O’Farraday comes out and grabs the mic out of Peter Michaels’ hands, directly addressing the fans in the studio and the viewers at home.

O’Farraday: “I bet you all wanna hear my thoughts on the main event of Hotlanta Hussle and let me tell you, I’m not here to complain. Ol’ Hacksaw is not the kind of man to come out here and whine for his misfortunes, Jack Griffith won that match fair and square. But what Jack Griffith didn’t do was pin Findlay O’Farraday. Matter of fact, he didn’t even face me one on one again, because Stan Manna had to insert himself in our business. Well Stan Manna got what he deserved for sticking his nose where it don’t belong, but Jack… We still got unfinished business, buddy. So I’m out here to ask you, in front of all these fans and everyone watching at home, whaddya say we get in that ring, one on one, just one last time? Whaddya say, Jack?”

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Sneer, “Clearly Findlay didn’t want to wait for his scheduled time later, Peter. It’s good you didn’t tell him off otherwise he might’ve cleaned your clock.”

Michaels, “I know better than to tempt the fates.”

Sneer, “Smart man you are, but I think it’s time we get to our first match of the night!”

Justice Jolson vs Melvin Otto

Otto came into this match mocking Jolson but once the bell rang, he did what every chickensh*t heel would and that was to avoid any contact with Jolson. The big man from Pittsburgh originally shrugged, unsure what to do against the hippy’s antics but eventually realized this match wasn’t going anywhere and gave chase. Otto tried to lure in his opponent and gain the upper hand with some dirty tricks, but Jolson no-sold everything and from that point on proceeded to slam Otto around, much to the delight of the audience who applauded every move up to the final Death Penalty that ended the match.

In an extremely short match, Justice Jolson defeated Melvin Otto in 5:04 by pinfall with The Death Penalty.

GegwXV8.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “Justice Jolson continues to build momentum. It’s clear that the big man has his eyes set on the top prize here in SCCW and if he continues to look as good as he looks tonight, it’s only a matter of time.”

Sneer, “There are a lot of men who might argue with you there, Peter, but I’m not one of them! “

Michaels, “When we come back from this commercial break, we will hear from the National Guard.”

oQRL1Fz.jpgHqwlEac.jpg

The National Guard come out of the curtain and salute the crowd, before heading to the interview booth.

Silencer: “Ever since me and Desert Storm here were rookies back at boot camp, Sgt. Bubba Lee West delighted in making our lives a living hell. I figured we’d push through and we did, so we were sent to the warzones and he was just a bad memory in our rearview mirror. Yet now here we are, discharged and making our living in the wrestling ring when Sgt. Bubba Lee West shows up again to torture us!”

The Silencer pauses and discusses something with Desert Storm off the mic, then continues.

Silencer: “At Hotlanta Hussle, he cost us our shot at the titles. This aggression will not stand. So Sarge, come out here and…”

HYre8mQ.jpg

Sgt. Bubba Lee West marches out in the middle of the Silencer’s sentence and walks up to him and Desert Storm.

West: “Looks like the two of you finally Ranger’d the hell up and decided to settle your debt with me… Good! I’ll let you make your battle plans and I expect to see one of you in that ring later tonight!”

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “It looks like we have ourselves a main event tonight! Desert Storm and Sgt. Bubba Lee West. That should be a good one.”

Sneer, “It should be. They’re both tougher than a two dollar steak, but we’re going to find out just who is tougher tonight -- but we’ve got a lot of show left before we get there. Six of SCCW’s finest are in action next!”

Austin Smooth, El Mítico Jr and Seth Whitehead vs Cobra, Jose Flamenco and Ricky Douglas

This trios match featured many SCCW regulars and unlike the usual chaos that is multi man tag matches, it was kept pretty solid and easy to follow, with most of the action being about the two legal men fighting it out inside the ring. This tone was further enhanced by the fact that all six men are solid technical wrestlers with great fundamentals and a good grasp of the basics. Besides a nasty atomic drop from Cobra that seemed to legitimately have hurt Austin Smooth, even the flamboyant Jose Flamenco, who’s usually more about his character than his in-ring skill, had a chance to showcase a good technical foundation, albeit presented in an awkward suggestive manner that drew tons of heat from the audience, a reaction that was instantly converted into cheers when Seth Whitehead caught the showboating Flamenco from behind for the surprise roll up pin.

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Austin Smooth, El Mítico Jr and Seth Whitehead defeated Cobra, Jose Flamenco and Ricky Douglas in 8:04 when Seth Whitehead defeated Jose Flamenco by pinfall with a fast roll up.

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “A big win for Seth Whitehead and company.”

Sneer, “Every win is a big win, Peter. Every win matters and the win tonight elevates all three of those men just a little bit more, but it’s time for something I have been waiting for -- to hear from Ernie Turner and the Tennessee Outlaws!”

wyLHFJZ.jpg6YXMR0Z.jpgRDdflOJ.jpg

Ernie Turner and the Tennessee Outlaws came strutting their stuff on out to the interview set. The Outlaws, the grizzled veterans that they are, looked exactly how you’d want them to look after a title defense. Banged up but happy. Jack had his ever-present cigarette dangling from his lips and Blackjack had himself a bottle of the brown.

Turner, “Once again I’m here on the Gibson Broadcasting Group, on The Last Rebels, on the premier professional wrestling program in all the United States of America to tell y’all that I was right. Once again I’m here to tell all of you here at the GBG Studios, to tell all of you watching at home that Ernie Turner told you the truth again. I told y’all that the Outlaws were gonna beat the National Guard. I told y’all that the Outlaws were gonna leave Hotlanta Hussle and still be the Southern Tag Team Champions and guess what?”

Ernie stops to look behind him at the two big men with championship belts.

Turner, “It looks like I was right ‘cause they still got the belts and the National Guard got beat. It looks like ol’ Ernie Turner continues to prove to the world that he’s an honest man ‘cause I keep tellin’ the world that the Tennessee Outlaws are as good now as they ever were -- and they’ve been real good for a long, long time. They are your Southern Tag Team Champions and whether you like ‘em or not, they aren’t going anywhere for a long, long time.”

7EqFCw6.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “The Outlaws do not lack in confidence, that is for sure. Up next, a young man with a bright future -- Roger Monteiro -- goes one on one with Rick Sanders.”

“American Eagle” Roger Monteiro versus “Old School” Rick Sanders

The young Native American babyface has been getting quite popular with the SCCW audience and he was up against the salty veteran Rick Sanders. The crowd was very excited to see American Eagle and he looked pretty good- if a little stale, against the man with three decades in the sport. Sanders worked slow and deliberate and took his time with Monteiro. They were telling a story of the young whitemeat babyface trying to overcome the more experienced heel and in the end, Sanders was able to use a handful of hair to counter Monteiro’s momentum and bring him down to the mat where he could lock on the Figure Four Leglock (where he also used a little second-robe grab action for extra leverage) and gained the submission victory.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Rick Sanders defeated Roger Monteiro in 7:48 by submission with a Figure Four Leglock after blatantly cheating.

GegwXV8.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “Damn that Rick Sanders!”

Sneer, “He did what he had to do, Peter. Can’t fault him for that. This is pro wrestling, not your taxes. You do what you have to do to win.”

PdyiWN6.jpg

Stan Manna comes out in his usual leather jacket and shades, his cockiness seemingly unaffected by his recent loss at Hotlanta Hussle. Peter Michaels is about to make a question but before he can articulate it, Manna grabs the microphone out of his hands.

Manna: “I know what you’re going to ask, Peter. I know what all these people want to know from The Man, but the answer might surprise you. See, every great artist might get a hit single or make the charts with a hot debut album, but eventually that will pass and they need to move on. To prove they’re not a one hit wonder. It’s no exception with me, an artist on the music stage as well as inside that ring. I joined SCCW and immediately, I was wrestling for that Southern Heavyweight Championship. I was in there with the greats and now I’m here thinking about the next day. Well let me tell you, The Man has a plan. And when it’s time to put that plan into motion, I will prove I am nothing like a one hit wonder!”

gUMXSOo.jpg

2MnrCLE.png

Michaels, “I wonder what Stan’s plan is.”

Sneer, “Well I’m sure we will find out soon enough, but it’s time Peter, it’s time for our main event. It is time for two men who do not like each other -- two men who have a history -- a past -- two men who want to do nothing more than tear each other limb from limb…. Wait, where was I going? Oh yes. It’s time for them to get in the ring and beat the holy hell out of one another. It’s time for them to do what this sport is all about. Prove themselves in the eighteen-by-eighteen battlefield. Who will have their hand raised? Hell, who will survive? We’re going to find out next.”

Desert Storm versus Sgt. Bubba Lee West

A battle that has been brewing for months now -- The National Guard and Sgt. Bubba Lee West. This time, Desert Storm and the Sgt. This was a real dismantling. West overwhelmed Storm from the beginning of the contest. He went right at the throat of Desert Storm too - punching him in it, chopping him in it and dropping him over the top rope on it. Storm had no answer for the onslaught and senior SCCW official Alvin Lavin was forced to stop the match when West came off the second rope with a knee drop right to the throat of Desert Storm. Medical personnel were quick to hit the ring.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Sgt. Bubba Lee West defeated Desert Storm in 5:59 by stoppage when Desert Storm was injured and could not continue.

Michaels, “Unfortunately we are all out of time. Make sure you stay tuned to SCCW.com for updates on Desert Storm’s health.
