Hey there guys,

Just to tell you that I played a f*ckload of Thunderverse on TEW16, and it actually salvaged my interest in that game some 1~2 years ago

The universe is just so lively and diverse and fun, it just clicked for me

I'm looking forward to 2020 and OHMYGOD I LOVE ODA'S NEW LOOK

Love how Juro transitioned from flat out Shinsuke Nakamura to having a facing resembling Takayama

Really curious about the whereabouts of CWT under Saul also, did Fargo Korben finally turned on Jesse Mills and got pushed to the Moon?

Having fallen back in love with the T-Verse having dabbled about with 2016 recently, would anyone be interested in a TVerse draft once the data is released to the world with the updated data? I find myself incredibly wanting to produce some dream matches across promotions and thats without even knowing the landscape four years later.

Would be very interested. I imagine we’re a little way off TV2020 so I’d be really interested in another 2016 version if anyone had the patience to organise it.

I've been meaning to ask how people have found the converted data? I know personalities were wonky and I think I heard road agents were a little off too. How does it play?

Yeah personalities really need worked on with the converted data. That's really the only issue I've had. Backstage is super toxic no matter what company. I get like 10 or more backstage issues every show.

Has something happened to old TEW 2016 (?) Dynasty threads? Can't access the Rise & Fall of the AWC thread which was super useful for Thunderverse history. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=526476" rel="external nofollow">http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=526476</a>

In terms of Thunderverse history, there may be a longer term project I'm working on outwith the TEW mod itself that would fall in line with this. I'm undecided on a pdf almanac type deal or a full website a la the Cornellverse site but it's something I've wanted to do for a long long time.</p>

Awesome, hugely excited for this. A Thunderverse website would be incredible. :D

Almanac is currently the preferred option mostly down to time but depending on out of TEW circumstances I might have a lot more time soon. :|

Sorry to hear.

Either would be great, I’m trying to teach myself HTML & CSS at the moment so would be happy to lend a hand if you go website. :)

Was wondering if there was any sort of rough ETA?

Are you hoping for release sometime this year? First half of next year?

None yet. As soon as we have something resembling a date we'll make a post. (or will we....)

A fair chunk of the fiddly stuff is getting battered into just now so progress is happening though. :)

With the Team's track record I have no doubt that progress is being made and that it will be amazing when it does release.

Just being selfish, lol. I've tried and tried...just can't get into the CVerse. I just have this and London Verse that I can actually get into. So my TEW is basically just sitting there. lol. Oh well, I got NHL 20 and Cities Skylines to help kill the time. STILL Furloughed as a result of COVID.

yes

Follow up question - was it meant to be a "one size fits all" starter fed? I see the belts they have are for different regions, along with a World title if I'm not mistaken.

So if you start out west, you have your Western States Heavyweight Champion (same for Texas, Great Lakes, etc), and as you grow you eventually have a World title. (not that you're constrained by that in the game - you can have a World title as a "tiny" company).

it’s an alliance, like a version of the old NWA

To expand on this, Thunderverse Vice expanded on this with an actual working AWC a la old school-ish territory system but then it never got to completion so that went night night. A lot of the belts included were part of that IIRC so they got kept around.

Quite a few which I've personally now lost to the sands of time/having about 4 different computers since the Vice days. If they get unearthed I'm sure I can put them up somewhere.

Please. I keep toying with the idea of having a go at a Thunderverse/Idom hybrid, I think it would be a really interesting use of all the AWC graphics and cannon we do have.

That was my second guess! :p

I hadn't played TEW for years (probably since 2018?) so I'm not well versed on the alliances and such, but the TVerse feds do bring some flavor to the CVerse. If/when it comes out I will probably dive into a game with it. Likely would have kept my interest during that time.

Excellent job on it.

Two of the newest teams that I've really taken to are ALPHA and The Gibson Brothers. The latter are just a good old fashioned brute tandem (kind of like the Dawsons but with slightly more class if anyone has been watching NWA Powerrr). The former...I am not sure why I like them really, but I just think they work really well as a duo. Don't worry though, the indy scene in particular will see something of a tag resurgence before we're done!</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I forgave Enemies of the State, I forgave the Van Holts. I trusted you that tag team wrestling would thrive in the new Thunderverse. But if Hero's discord hint is the case, and you've destroyed Team Blimchan, then that is something I just can't forgive. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
