What have been the change to product? The product I love the most is silver age pro wrestling... But 20 minutes match are really hard to make for a tv show of 1 hour. Would like an episodic product with shorter matches time that is similar to this one with some angle ratio... I need to adjust to this one

Has anyone tried playing as a booker instead of an owner? From my experience, bidding is literally Impossible. The owner's contract offer is not adjusted to take into account the competition, but solely based on what he thinks about the worker (which most often is lower than the opposing offers).

And I wish there was a way to bypass some restrictions ex taking the risk to offer bonuses or higher merchandise cut even if the owner is against it. As a punishment, my company rating could drop, and at some point I could get fired. It's a lot better than losing half of your stars to NJPW.

Similar. My long term save on TEW 16 got corrupted, and I don't want to start a new save but I'm bored waiting for 20.

I'm starting to enjoy the game quite a bit and I'm about to start up a new save, as I've hit my two months with CZCW (a company I've fallen in love with again). Balancing issues aside, the game world feels quite alive and the workers so much more human. I also recommend trying the "Simplified" skin, as I've found it quite easy on the eyes and is helping me dive in.

However, after starting a nationwide internet subscription network for a mere $135k, I started with 90k viewing my show and make $15,000+ per show through advertisements. That is enough money to match RIPW's production and give out iron clad $6,000p/m, three-year deals to Frankie Perez, Masked Cougar, and Alina America. As it stands, CZCW will make it a Big Four within two years and I feel confident in leaving the COTT and giving ironclad deals to the rest of the important players.

I'm not certain if this is too easy, or if the #12 promotion in the game should be able to take the next step.

I'm also getting serviceable road agent work for $100 a show out of Rumble Roper and Tamara McFly. This feels like an exploit and that there's something of a sweet spot in their attributes that I can't put a finger on.

@Zero - that's extremely unfortunate. I always looked forward to your updates. What year did you end up getting to?

My goal in 2020 was to have my first long save. Making it from 1991 (my favorite mod) to current day with WCW,WWF or a created fed would be amazing.

How many shows are you doing? When you say 6,000 p/m you mean per match?

At first I thought one shouldn't be able to start a network with $135k, but then again, you could probably do that these days. I do not think you'd be making $90k in advertisements, though. That seems a bit high.

Oh, I apologize. It's $6,000 every month. As for the ad sales, after two shows, I've made $44,000 in advertising revenue. It seemed to increase further after my audience increased from 92k for the first show, to 100k for the second. I'm running a weekly two-hour show from here on. The uptick in the advertising monies perhaps could have been caused by going from 90 minutes to two hours.

In the editor, every option in the "property of" dropdown has (broadcaster) next to their name. Are there supposed to be other types of options? For instance, how do you simulate NXT opening as a WWE developmental territory? It feels to me like you should be able to choose other companies from the "property of" box.

Property Of is specifically for broadcasters, as far as I remember. To simulate WWE/NXT you'd use company relationships, which is a separate section of the editor.

Problem is you can't set a relationship involving a company that doesn't exist yet or it causes a critical error when the game loads. For instance:

And fair enough if that section is just for broadcasters but it seems weird to go to the trouble of adding (broadcaster) to every entry in the list if that's the only category that can display there.

Not that an explanation is owed to anyone but can Adam or whoever that may know speak on what exactly makes the date be pushed back to 14th?

Because seems that most of the updates can just be released in a patch (Scrollbar, UI, etc).

Since it was already scheduled for release, can't you just do it now and continue working into the patches? Everyone is going to have to use future patches anyway.

I'm interested in testing further into the game as well, like others have mentioned. Going to be unique issues that come up further into game saves.

Obviously I'm not someone who actually knows anything, but guessing the background redesign is going to be a major thing - I think releasing it as it is, given how many people the game was giving headaches to, would be a mistake. (I couldn't play for more than half an hour or so without feeling ill until I installed Blue and Gold, and I know numerous others have made similar comments.)

Adam would have to do double the patch work, one for the beta, one for the full release, taking double the time. You have to keep that in mind every time this question is asked.

I think the goal here is to not have so many patch's after the release. Like maybe one a week, than on to two or one a month. That's about how all the other releases worked.

I get that it has slowed, but there is still a patch every day. We are on Patch 13, tomorrow will be patch 14, on the 14th day since release. IF it were truly slow, we wouldn't have a patch until the 6th of next month.

I personally think there is a chance that it could happen sooner, but the last update said he felt he was right on track for what he said.

It's important to remember that the match time just sets an upper bound on the score. A 19 minute match may never go above 90 for example (I don't think we know what these caps are for sure.) If you match wasn't going to go over 90 in the first place, it doesn't need to be 20 minutes.

I got to October or November 2010. I had all my plans until March (Mania). Plan on starting a game at 80 or 85. Probably 85

Certainly improved in some respects, such as the auto booking and some products.

I saw some crazy things with pop on patch 9 (eg a manager going from 11 to 60 in a month and a half); there was reference to tweaks to popularity in a more recent patch, so I don't know if that has been fixed.

There are some balancing issues being pointed out elsewhere, such as the ability to create your own broadcaster and spamming PPVs being both significantly overpowered.

That's great hopefully by the end of the BETA, it'll be a lot easier to play than it was the start. I'm glad they've ironed out some of the issues and made it a better play.

I feel the same - except that I'm past the point where I can enjoy TEW 16.

Some things need to be fixed for 20 for it to surpass 16 for classic real world mods (or alternate history mods for that matter), but then again some of the stuff that helped those particular mods in terms of realism that were in 13 were stripped in 16 and now are back in 20 (for example, the contracts with broadcasters splitting costs and revenue, which really helps mimic Vince's early strategy of essentially bribing TV stations to air his shows and not air those of the other companies).

That said, I can confidently state that, at least IMHO, 2020 is the better base game for CVerse (and hopefully TVerse...hopefully) and perhaps modern day mods as well.

If Adam could fix the UI more here and there (especially in the database editor), add in TV shows having fixed venues as an option, and add in the option for defined "non-compete" contracts with workers (to mimic workers leaving for longer than a few shows for Japan tours but still remaining exclusive in the US to a specific company, or being able to work really small indies on off days but not for similar sized or larger US companies as yours), then there'd be no going back to 2020 other than for product creation/modification modding purposes.

On that end, if he could add some more flavor to the product types, that'd be nifty. Better yet would be to, somehow, someway, release a front end to whatever he's doing to add products in...but that seems likely to not happen at this point (but I can still dream).

I've been playing in the editor the last day or so for the first time, and I'm not sure if switching the list view was added via patches or not, but I can't imagine doing any DB work without it.

Switching to the classic style list (so you can navigate more using the keyboard)?

Yeah. It should be the default option, tbqh.

The only issue is that switching to that view takes away the option to do mass edits. You can always switch back to do those, but it is not an optimal solution.
