Serious question here... how on EARTH do you guys book shows in a couple of minutes in either TEW2020 OR TEW2016?

Usually takes me twenty minutes to half an hour to book a show in any version of the game, which is why I really struggle with any promotion that has two shows a week (either a Raw/Smackdown or an A-Show/B-Show type setup).

I’m really going to need to hit some of you guys up for tips. I’d love to pump out shows in under ten minutes.

Pre-booking, lots of it. I can have the major matches for the whole year and first 6 months of TV planned out in an hour. Then I just throw angles in. With 16 that was simple. 20 not so much.

I just arbitrarily book matches on the spot. :D

Perhaps not the best example to follow, but then again I've got 4C to the #1 company in the world in 2016, so maybe there's merit to it!

I just pre-booked a show and then ran it no problem at what I think is normal speed. Where do you see the issue with prebooking that makes it less simple?

Mainly because I pre-book all the matches, then fill in angles later. So moving them is a complete slog. Pre-booking is fine. But the angles and rearranging segments are not.

So then the problem isn't with prebooking it's with us wanting a single button "highlight angle" + "move up" or "move down", which I think is a legit criticism. Rearranging cards now with the individual arrows is more annoying and was easier with TEW16.

Yeah that's definitely it. Just want a more convenient system.

This is so true! Expect for Digimon Games. Everyone knows Digimon World 1 is the best game ever released of any Digimon game.

If you disagree, then I don't consider you an intellectual equal!

I'm clearly superior because both Cyber Sleuth games are far superior to that game :p

So I started a new game with a brand new company in Alberta, Canada. My company's popularity there is 10 and I've ran two shows which have scored 35 and 39. Says I'm gaining popularity in the area but hasn't moved from 10. This a bug or do I need even better shows to move the needle?

Your popularity is likely only increasing by a percentage of a point and the game doesn't display decimals. You may actually be at say 10.4 pop, but the game will display it as 10.

No I get that, but after two shows like that my popularity should go up at least a point? In 16 after a couple shows like that with a tiny company, you would see a couple points grow in both pop. and size. At this rate it would take forever to grow a new company.

Just curious, what are the industry, economy, and company momentum like (as those will have an effect as well)?

Just so it's known, I'm not saying anything is wrong with the game here, just trying to see what to watch for so I understand it better.

From what I understand, economy doesn't affect popularity gains. What product do you have? Some of them are more affected by the state of the industry than others.

Yeah, economy likely doesn't affect it much if any (though an argument could be made that low economy means fans aren't spending money to go to shows).

Low industry and momentum will absolutely cause slow pop growth. As you momentum builds you should be able to gain pop easier (wouldn't quite categorize it as a snowball effect though).

Forgot about product(s) that could hamper pop growth under certain conditions.

DW3 Is probably number 2 of the best. If I were to power rank them it would go.

#3: Digimon world 3

#2: Digimon Digital Card battle game

#1: Digimon world 1.

#2 & 3 could be easily swapped around.

Dude, I'm with you.

Idk if this is your issue, but I know with me, I over plan and try to get everything too perfect. My plans are 6 months in advance and I, like you, only book one A show a week with 1 PPV per week.

Paying this much attention to detail, imagining exactly what the wrestlers are saying, what the angles look like, etc. really adds the amount of time it takes.

I've come to the conclusion that the people that can book so fast are playing the game differently... they're playing it as a game. They're putting in matches and angles to get the highest rating. They turn wrestlers because they need to turn, they change their gimmicks because they've become stale, etc. etc. They're playing a video game.

I definitely try to keep things as if I were booking real life and put as much effort and attention into it as such. Maybe this is what you're doing as well.

And for the record, there's nothing wrong with either of these methods. Neither is right, they are just two different ways of playing the game.

Note that I could be wrong as well. If someone can play the game with that much attention to detail and book in 5-10 minutes, color me impressed.

The mods would probably ban you for that Joke, I'm seeing comments dissapearing again and more threads are ebing locked, they're on high alert.

Eh, I think that's more because any criticism tends to result in attacks from the defenders, and things degenerate from there.

Case in point - the "Will you buy" thread where critics have been dismissed as "ridiculous", unable to deal with change, "entitled" etc.

I think those responding in such a fashion should be forced to play the unpatched beta without skins for a week. Then they might appreciate the value of criticism.
