I agree with you. This is more of me just being bored at work & wanting some silly banter. I can't comment on if this has been a rough release compared to the others though. I feel like it has it's ups & downs for sure though.

To Adam's credit, I don't know if it's limitation of the way TEW games are released or if it's Adam's own decision. He doesn't do stuff like that.

This is the roughest release ever. I think he started doing the release stuff since 2007 (I've been playing since 6500, whatever the one that was done in 1998 was) and this is by far the roughest one ever.

I understand and respect Adams call on things, it’s good that he didn’t want to release the game until he is happy with it.

That being said, maaan I don’t know what to do for 2 weeks. Playing 2016 feels redundant, I have reached a suitable climax with that, and I don’t want to go too much on 2020 in case there are issues and save games maybe couldn’t continue

I haven't had a chance yet, but I need to start working on mods. That's what I plan on doing.

Knowing now that this is a game being made in Visual Basic now puts a lot of things into perspective. However, saying "limitations" only goes so far when 2020 was billed as a complete overhaul and you still can't do simple things like resize a window, drag and drop your event card, or even keep colored text and arrow key scrolling.

I've played a couple saves now with the different patches. I think that this game has a solid foundation of ideas, and what works works really well. The new features are pretty good, and I think if we were given more than 2 months in the Beta/Demo we would really be able to see how well they all work.

I just think that at $35 I don't know that I can fight through the UI, look at the game's intentional limitations, and justify getting the game. Maybe on a sale much later on, but day 1 full price? I don't think I can justify it.

I have to say that every morning for the last few days I eagerly scan the patch notes over my morning coffee (after reading through pages of people arguing about product types/whether or not it’s a beta or demo) to see if there’s been a fix to the storyline histories yet. But unfortunately there hasn’t.

For me, this is one of the biggest short term issues right now, it’s a bit of an annoyance to book a storyline when you can’t see the previous few sections, ie you have to read your last show and figure out where you were going with each storyline and what happened last, as the storyline history only seems to show the first five segments. Even the last five would be an improvement, although ideally you’d see them all.

Surely this is bugging other people as well?

Honestly, I title my segments in a way that allows me to easily read them and see what I was doing and instinctively use Show Histories so it's not a huge issue for me. It is quite annoying when I'm in the screen. But it's not as big a deal to me as it is most.

I get your issue, doesn't really bother me though. I'm more annoyed with not being able to refine my search when doing angles, not being able to view my roster when setting up an actual storyline. instead needing to book the angle with 2 rando's then go through the view roster button on the main screen of the storylines, & most importantly, being forced to use those terrible arrows that are in the segment screen when booking the show!

<p>I really was hoping to play the game by now. I specifically made no other plans. The virus thing isn't exactly providing much alternatives <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. It is what it is, but he showered the dev diary with "running smoothly" and "things are looking really good" and he normally never does that, so it made me very positive that the release wouldn't be postponed. And here we are... <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I haven't followed all these threads as they fill pretty quickly, but is it really that bad? I've been able to run shows. There were bugs, but they're getting fixed. Nothing gamebreaking if there's a patch the next day.</p><p> </p><p>

Is it just the UI? Personally I don't care much for that. I've learned to accept the limitations of these kinds of games. And I hope people aren't expecting some overhaul as I don't think that'll happen. Besides: people already stepped in and fixed the contrast issues with the UI (still can't believe no one in the team had any remarks on it).</p><p> </p><p>

But man, two more weeks? That's rough. I'm a patient guy, but as I've got nothing game-wise going on, it's not pleasant.</p>

Almost a month in with IPW. I'm not a fan of some of the features either. Already miss customizable products. Half of my playtime so far has been finding stuff in wierd places. I do admit that it mostly going to pass with time. But it's highly, highly unintuitive. Hopefully, Skin makers can save some of the day and make this look better.</p>

I have been playing very consistently since the first release and have even reported and help determine the cause of a couple specific crash issues. Here's my two cents.

A lot of the bugs that have been discovered so far are somewhat niche, but inevitably would be discovered anyway. A few of the crashes have been extremely gamebreaking, and prevented someone from even making a new save for that whole day.

And in some cases, fixing one problem, moved the problem to a different area.

Needless to say, this is not the condition Adam wanted to release the game in, even if there were no complaints about the UI, because it has been much buggier than he thought it was going to be and releasing it in that state would have been a mistake. Even after a week of testing, we are still discovering a lot of crash bugs, but we are whittling away at them. However to ask someone to pay 35 dollars for this still buggy state of the game is something Adam does not want to do.

This is on top of the huge complaints and discussions about the UI and other issues like custom products that has erupted since day one.

So pushing it back was the right move on all accounts, whether some people are enjoying the current state of the game and willing to accept it as is or not.

I honestly think the AI is so much better in 2020.

I'm playing the 2004 RW mod as ROH.

The very first day a bunch of copanies tryied to sign CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe from me. I had to sign them into a written exclusive before them, and honestly I think this move will put me out of business.

This gets me super exited for the full release.

The AI improvements are the thing I’m most interested in, as that’s been a constant frustration in past versions. Even in 2016 AI roster management is terrible.

I’m looking forward to the full release just to see the reports from people a few years in.

I am really excited to see how the AI will handle tag teams since IMO it was the biggest flaw of previous AIs. They would do random tag teams and often the world champion would be tag champion as well.

Smaller companies tend to do that.

But I think the big thing is that each company tries to have a certain number of teams and keeps creating new teams. It shouldn't be that weird but watching from an outside perspective and knowing the wrestlers makes teams like say Aleister Black and Sunil Singh a weird pair up. But for the game, it's just 2 wrestlers with nothing else to judge from.

For some people who have been anticipating the game since December of 2018 and having the Beta but not the full game -- it can be a painful (not in the reality of like, dealing with a painful illness, but just the anticipation kind of painful wait).

I liken it to when Mass Effect 3 and Andromeda came out for me [Mass Effect is my favorite video games series of all time]. The last two weeks before the release were just so anticipatory that I was on edge. Andromeda was worse, because I had EA Access so I got to play 10 hours of the game early and that was like having the Beta for TEW and not having the full game.

<p>I have to say it's pretty rough for me. The last two weeks prior to the demo were rough for me, I was jumping off the walls, kept telling my fiancé (who was entirely uninterested) "only four days until the new wrestling game, only three days until..." and now I've had a taste it's two more weeks!</p><p> </p><p>

Having said all that, I completely understand why it is what it is. Just happy be playing now and helping out by reporting bugs and fixes as I see them.</p>

<p>Can anyone explain to me why in the Cornellverse, is a venues with the capacity of 75,000, only costs 600$ (Estimated) yet the venue right about it is 30,000 capacity but costs 60,000? What am I misunderstanding here?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

EDIT: I see one says (location) the other is (venue)</p><p>

So I still wonder what the difference means.</p>
