Will is the future of RAW and will be getting wins. I am curious who their 3rd is and a debuting guy should get a win on the PPV to make a statement. But at the same time there is no one in almost all of RAW let alone the Australian Independant scene that deserves to pick up a win against Kerry and CWII

I liked that line. Nobody deserves to pick up a win against Kerry and CWII. They are two of the biggest names in Australian Wrestling. Before Swoop came along, they were probably THE two biggest. But they do have a youngster in Will on their team, who can eat a loss in a match like this and still be okay. You're right about wanting to protect him and booking him well though too...

That's almost exactly how I'm viewing him. I've got a weird view of my roster right now, with Swoop obviously at the level of stardom of The Rock, McKenzie as a kind of Stone Cold ass kicker, and Tombstone as my Goldberg! There are other comparisons that I won't go into right now, but interesting you say that

Horton and Heath made a great start to this match, keeping both Masterminds at bay, and not allowing the Champions to tag in. Eventually though, Spin Doctor's antics at ringside allowed Quiz Master to tag Alexander Banks in, and suddenly God's Gift went to work. Banks and Standish know how to cut a ring in half, and they did a masterful job of cutting this one in three! In the end, it was Spin Doctor who was the deciding factor once again. With a few competitors down on the outside, The Doctor clobbered Horton with the question mark cane behind the referee's back. But it didn't work out for his team of The Masterminds, because Quizzical Mark Question was the man pinned, failing to notice that Banks had blind-tagged in. Echo and Tombstone are very similar athletes, and in another life, could have been an epic tag team. However, here tonight, Echo wanted what Tombstone had, and Tombstone looked like he wanted to end Echo's career! He viciously and without remorse, attacked Echo's neck from the opening bell until the final bell. The announce team suggested early on that he was softening 'The Enigma' up for his 'Rear Naked Choke', but as the match wore on, and the assault became more targeted and vicious, it was clear that Tombstone thought RAW would be better off without Echo for a long time again. He stamped on Echo's head, used the ropes to strangle him, and even hit a piledriver where he landed on his knees! But Echo just wouldn't stay down. He fought hard, and stayed in things, right up until Tombstone hooked in the 'Rear Naked Choke'. Even then Echo didn't tap out. Finally, it was time for the much anticipated Swoop McCarthy versus Frogue Element confrontation. Swoop is desperate to be the first Five Time RAW TV Champion, and he looked focused, and ready tonight. He still had a lot of fun with the 5,000 strong in the crowd, including shouting at the top of his voice “ROOOOPES” every time he got to the rope break in the early stages. Swoop can do no wrong right now. When he's on this kind of a roll; anything he does or says gets over. The crowd chanted along with him for the rope breaks, and also when he rolled Frogue around with a rolling pinning combination. Element was dazed and dizzy when he got up, but Swoop was just getting started! His stamina levels are high, and tonight he was in no mood to win this one quick. He was aiming to toy with his opponent, then destroy him. Frogue had other ideas though. Constantly ducking Swoop by slipping to the outside of the ring for a breather. He angered the crowd, and tried to get Swoop to make a mistake. But 'The Alpha Male' remained composed, and in the end, he picked up the biggest win of his career; which is saying something. Frogue had Swoop in position for the 'Frog Splash', but as the announce team surmised, he hadn't done enough damage to hit it yet. As he launched off the top rope, Swoop leapt to his feet, and delivered a cutter out of mid-air!! Maurice Jackson potentially turning as well with a positive segment that is awesome too. The aggressiveness of Tombstone stamping on Echo was brutal and a great read.

 

Taylor & Taylor made a good awkward segment.

 

Swoop winning was fitting. His 5th win at a major milestone event was so fitting, but as you mentioned Frogue won in a triple threat, he never felt like a legitimate champion and he doesnt now either. I cant see him dethroning Swoop. So curious how you build his rep up, as the placeholder title reign hasnt elevated him at all.

Thank you guys. I love a shock heel turn, so I'm glad none of you saw it coming. Fair play to Satyr24 though, who did predict it in his prediction picks I likened it to the Hogan joining NWO heel turn, but the Shield split is a good comparison too. It's a massive complement to me that you were that surprised, so thank you I like getting great feedback like that. Also glad the angle title was a swerve. The 'Third' Wayne Brother would naturally make people assume Kerry had ANOTHER brother, until they read on. Like a final spanner in the works to throw you off course.

So Maurice probably won't turn face. I kind of need the star power on the heel side for now. He is awesome on the mic though and could do either!!

 

Tried to protect Echo, even though he got an absolute beating!! It was a case of blaming his weakened neck for his loss, rather than his skills or abilities.

 

Taylor/Taylor will lead to something soon That was the first awkward moment, just to plant a seed.

 

Frogue losing was a must unfortunately. I booked myself into a bit of a corner by putting Swoop in there for the Title. Frogue was nowhere near popular enough to beat McCarthy, and if he did, my top star (by quite some way) would have taken a hit. I'm happy to say that Frogue jumped by a couple of points, even in losing, so it was nice to see that and he's now my most over heel. Storywise though, I'll need to build him back up quickly! And I have a great idea for him. They'll have a re-match soon, and Frogue will build himself back up in one night... So watch this space for that one.

Evening folks, Greg Sluchinski of The Pro Wrestling Reporter here. And we have some interesting news to get to. We will kick things off, by reporting on the sit-down interview I got to have, with one Alex DeColt last night. Alex and I spoke for over half an hour, and we just shot the breeze, as it were. I won't read out the entire interview here, but I recorded it, and it'll be up on our website in no time. But. There were some highlights. On his Brothers Steve, Ricky and Jack DeColt, Alex said they're welcome to each other. On the Canadian Wrestling Alliance, he thinks they'll fail. He admitted that what he had seen so far from the CWA was good, it doesn't cater to their fans. In his eyes, NOTBPW fans still want long, intricate matches, while CGC fans want short, fast-paced bouts with a lot of entertainment. The middle ground disappoints both sets of fans, and they'll all just leave eventually. I asked him if he'd ever return to the wrestling business in some capacity, he said the immortal words: 'Never Say Never'... So watch this space on that one. All in all, it was a GREAT conversation with 'The Mind'.

 

As reported a few weeks ago here on the Pro Wrestling Reporter, USPW's B-Show, 'The Edge' has joined the Tuesday Night Wars, up against both SWF and TCW's A-Shows. This week, USPW headlined their episode with Jaime Quine defeating Tiffany Jade in a 77 rated classic, which earned the show a 70. TCW pulled 76, and SWF managed a 77. So USPW's B-Show is not that far behind their two A-Shows!! It was brave of USPW to put the Women out there to Main Event, but they did not disappoint! They're using their B-Show to create more opportunities for guys and girls on their roster who might not get one otherwise, and I for one enjoyed the heck out of the show!

 

Finally for now. RAW held their 11th Anniversary Show at the sold out 'Frank's Place' in Western Australia. 5,000 fans showed up to witness what was a superb event! Considering this aired as an episode of their TV Show, and they don't run Pay-Per-Views, they did a really nice job of making this seem like a big event! Loxley Robbins versus Blake Belushi was expertly put together by both men, and they tore the house down. But their effort was matched by Swoop McCarthy and Frogue Element in the Main Event. Swoop was on fire, and he captured his record FIFTH TV Title!! Swoop is on a roll right now. Everything he touches turns to gold from an entertainment stand-point, and now he's the Champion. Interested to see how they handle the Frogue Title loss. And very interested to see what happens next between Nathan McKenzie and Montgomery Croft. When 'Big Mac' stomped to the ring as Croft and the referee were counting him out, I almost leapt out of my seat!! They never touched, but it got me very excited for when they finally do!!

Oof. What did I think of the 11th Anniversary Show? Well, I actually thought it deserved a much higher rating than 62. I would have gone with high 70s, maybe even 80s. But we got a 62! We polled our audience after the show was over, and a lot, and I mean a LOT, of people suggested that a reason for the rating to be so low from them, is because they wanted more angles, and less matches. They (almost) all loved Swoop McCarthy's TV Title win – unsurprising. I felt I needed a babyface Champ with God's Gift and Tombstone holding onto the other Belts. When asked about Kerry Wayne's heel turn and gimmick overhaul, they said it was 'adequate', but that it could get better with time... Okay... Awesome.

 

OH... Speaking of The Wayne Brothers, Kian got a nasty bruise on his tailbone after Will Beaumont's back-cracker! Allegedly, Will's foot went up Kian's butt. Now, I know that probably hurt, and it was probably careless from Will. But he's just a kid, learning his trade, and I know for a FACT that he did apologise after the match – Captain Wrestling II told me. Capt also told me how Kian has reacted in general and apparently, Kian and his 'Brothers' gave Will a really hard time about it all. I get it. Will needs to learn. But I'll be having a quiet chat with him this week, make sure his head's in the game.

 

Um... A couple more little notes here from my Road Agents... Echo and Tombstone showed GREAT chemistry in the ring!! They also got along well backstage, so I think a re-match between them isn't out of the question at all. Tombstone dominated Echo in their match, but 'The Enigma', who will take a few weeks off, WILL be back, and will be stronger than ever!

 

I also put Lynx out there in the Maurice Jackson 'Audience With a King' segment, and he delivered. They both did. It was the third highest rated segment on the show. (First and second were the opening hype video, and Swoop celebrating his win at the end!! But there wasn't much in it!!). Lynx is someone I've had my eye on, and recently I've noticed that he's gained a bit of muscle! If I had to put his transformation into words, I'd say he's gone from a 'toned' guy, to a 'muscular' guy. It's not something I asked him to do, he just did it! And now, I think he's sexier, and looks more like a star. Well done kid.

 

No other big incidents. Spin Doctor was late and the Masterminds took him to 'Wrestler's Court'. Swoop found him guilty, and now he has to pay for Quiz and Quizzical's food for the next three weeks! That guy is p*****g a lot of people off, but he works well with The Masterminds. If they personally came to me with an issue, then it's different.

 

Anyway, I'm off to the after party. Hoping to not have to punch anyone!

Haha, yeah but I ignored it because I was so annoyed you'd called it so soon

 

McKenzie is a big Austin or Goldberg. He's 320lbs. But I'm booking him like an ass kicker who has a problem with a rich bloke (Croft/McMahon).

 

I like the Taz comparison for Tombstone. His finisher is the Rear Naked Choke, so that works. I just never really watched ECW regularly. His only run I saw was as a jobber in WWF and then an announcer. Apart from that win over Angle on his debut. Which is one of my favourite moments in wrestling history!!
