Glad (almost) nobody saw this coming. Kerry as a heel is something I really wanted to do from the early stages of planning this diary. When TEW2020 came out, the names at the top of the card: Swoop, Captain, Kerry, Loxley, Maurice, Steele, Goode and Croft were all the same alignment as they were in TEW2016. Frogue and Echo had switched. And then Belushi and Gilbert had gone singles. McKenzie and Tombstone were new. But I knew I wanted to mix things up in a big way! I have plans to turn one other Main Event heel to a babyface too.

We kicked off the show, with a huge ovation for the NEW RAW TV Champion: 'The Alpha Male' Swoop McCarthy as he stomped to the ring!!

Swoop McCarthy:

“I'm just gonna... SWOOP... ON... IN... HERE!! Ahh what a FEELING!!”

Swoop held his Championship Belt aloft and soaked in the crowd's cheers... he looked absolutely delighted, and the crowd were loving it...

Swoop McCarthy:

“You guys... THIS... Means so much to me... I am now, the first, ever, FIVE TIME, RAW TV Champion!! In fact... I'm the first ever five time ANY Champion in RAW history... There have been plenty of fours... But I'm the first five!! It means a lot to me... and I just want to thank you for your support... I was also chatting to a stat guy... and he says I've been here, in RAW, for 89 months now... and I've been a Champion for 33... So... All I need to do... is hold this bad boy for the next ... 2 years...!! Then... I'd have been a Champion longer than I haven't...!! Listen, I didn't have long, so I'm gonna slide on out, and leave you guys some action... But I'll be back here next week... Until then... SWOOP... There it is!!”

Swoop hopped through the ropes and to the floor... Still with a big grin on his face... He was stopped in his tracks though, by a familiar entrance music...

Nathan McKenzie, stomping to the ring in his denim jacket... looking like a man on a mission, as ever... He stopped when he got to the same spot as Swoop...

'Big Mac' and Swoop shared a look, and then McKenzie cricked his neck a little, continued to the ring... He was due to be in action, for our opening bout!!

On a normal night, Zucco would have put up more of a fight that he did here. But this was no normal night. 'The Z-Man' had a dominant patch, but really and truly, McKenzie kicked it into another gear that Zucco just didn't have. 'Big Mac' steam-rolled through his opponent with a 'Spear' in the end.

“It's freaking me out a little Doug... Not gonna lie... Is someone sending them these messages...?! Or is it some kind of, higher power...?!”

“It is anybody's guess Rebecca... We're hoping to hear more from them, next week... and their confused manager Brittini Burke...”

Kal and Kian were like a pack of dingos in this match. Constantly hopping up on the apron to distract Cole Taylor. In the end, he was put down by Kerry's 'Flying Bulldog' from the second rope. Without Kal and Kian, this would have been a more competitive, and better, contest.

“Oh Loxley... I forgot, you can't read so good can you? My advice... Go and check the board, mate... You're wrestling Frogue Element in the Main Event... Oh... and Loxley... I should warn you, he is not in the best of moods...!! Good luck?”

Sat around a small table, the tag team of Heath and Horton (Party Central) along with their manager Autumn Gleason... It wasn't exactly 'Party Central' around the table today...

Autumn Gleason:

“So Heath... Having reviewed the footage, our one saving grace is that we weren't the team pinned... God's Gift pinned The Masterminds... So if anyone deserves another chance... it's US!!”

A cameraman climbed into the back of a limousine... revealing the well dressed feet of two young RAW talents... It panned upwards, to reveal their identity...

Thurston Darcy III:

“YES! For it is I... Thurston... Darcy... The THIRD... Joined as ever, by my best mate, Artemis Eyre-Rochester... We're travellin' in style... and makin' the ladies smile...”

Artemis waved at the camera when Darcy mentioned him, but for the rest of the time he was sat glued to his phone...

Artemis Eyre-Rochester:

“Well I'll be stuffed!! You seen this?!”

He held up his phone to Darcy, and then explained that there's a tag team on RAW, essentially doing their exact gimmick!!

Artemis Eyre-Rochester:

“They think they're better than US?! Na na na... We're ACE mate... ask A.N.Y.O.N.E...!! We better get back there and make sure they don't try and take our spot too!!”

Thurston Darcy III:

“Our spot as the greatest tag team in RAW history? Doubt it!! DRIVER... Step on it!!”

The crowd were electric for Gilbert tonight, after Steele had not only pushed his buttons last week in the locker room, but pushed HIM into some lockers! Gilbert weathered an early storm, but because of the crowd, got back into it. The shock win of the night, and possibly of the year so far, saw 'The Natural' hoist Steele up and drop him down with the 'Fisherman's Suplex'!

Tombstone asked for a microphone, and a stage hand ran up to him with one... Tombstone kicked the stage hand in the chest as he arrived!!

The microphone went flying, and the Champ demanded another one... This time, he snatched the mic from a different stage hand...!!

The intimidating 276lber said only one word to Gilbert...

Tombstone:

“YOU!!”

He pulled his thumb across his throat, and then stormed off the stage... Leaving Gilbert happy, but also scared...

The announce team appeared on our screen next...

Rebecca Richey:

“He's called his shot Dougie...”

Doug Vallence:

“You got that right Becca... Last week, Tombstone destroyed Echo... To the point where we don't know when 'The Enigma' will return... If he's EVER going to return...”

Rebecca Richey:

“Yeah I mean, his neck could be injured again... We don't know... But it looks like Gilbert is 'next'...”

Doug Vallence:

“What we DO know... is that next week, Tombstone will team with Luke Steele... and they'll be taking on the team of Rod Sullivan AND Nicky Gilbert!! It'll be GREAT to see The Next Big Things back together again!! What a great pairing!! And speaking of great pairings... Becca... I need to ask you something...”

Rebecca Richey:

“I'm gonna have to interrupt you there Dougie... we're being sent backstage...”

More weird tension between the two Taylors... But seems a little harsh on Doug Vallence to be interrupted like that...

Brutal. Gory. Unnecessary. Three words you'd be forgiven for thinking wouldn't apply to this match. However, very early on, Matty Wills got a cut above his eye so bad, that the ring canvas had a bunch of red puddles soaked into it. The brutality was there for everyone to see. A stray elbow from Frankie LiberTeen at ringside behind the referee's back did the damage. The gore was also clear, with so much blood, how could it not be. What was unnecessary, was how long the match continued. It should have been stopped a lot sooner, but it ended up dragging out for almost 10 minutes! Rose Wills pleaded with her boyfriend (Brodie Lachlan) to do something. Take her brother Matt's place in the match. Or anything. In the end, with Rose crying, and Matty's bleeding getting really bad, Brodie had no choice but to throw the towel in!

Interesting to see these two flirting, since Jackson held his 'Audience With The King' last week with Lynx, and Lynx mentioned his fondness of Gleason...

Speaking of Lynx, the 'Pretty Boy' walked up, and things got awkward...

Jackson and Lynx squared up to one another, and Autumn decided to just leave them to it... so she walked off to end the segment there...

'The Real Beaut' Loxley Robbins [vs] 'The Ultimate Trash Talker' Frogue Element

Blake Belushi was right earlier when he said Frogue wasn't in the best of moods. He angrily too his frustrations out on Loxley here, throwing 'The Real Beaut' around the ring and lashing out at the fans and the referee on multiple occasions. Frogue is a lot smaller than Loxley, but he was still able to dominate and overpower the fan favourite. After a while though, Loxley got the crowd behind him, and the comeback was on. It took interference from the aforementioned Belushi for Frogue to win it. He showed up on the apron out of nowhere, and yanked Loxley's hair behind the referee's back! Pulling him off the top rope, and he landed throat first across the ropes!! This allowed Frogue to hop to the top rope himself, and deliver the 'Fro Splash'.

The match was over, but Blake Belushi clearly wanted to get some shots in on Loxley Robbins... and Frogue Element was happy to help him...

Blake and Frogue delivered boots to Loxley's chest, and the crowd booed them loudly...

If their boos were loud though, their cheers were louder, when Swoop McCarthy's music hit!!

The RAW TV Champion sprinted to the ring, with his Belt in his hand... and slid under the ropes at a great velocity!!

He slid so far, he actually slid under Belushi, who was attempting to intercept him... and popped up right next to Frogue!!

Swoop went to throw a punch, but Frogue ducked and flinched... Dropping to the mat and rolling out under the ropes!!

Belushi went for the kill, but the Champ swung him around, and hit the 'Side Russian Leg Swoop'!! A new move he's been working on!!

The show ended with McCarthy helping Robbins to his feet, and the pair of fan favourites staring down their rivals...

Howdy. Greg Sluchinski from Pro Wrestling Reporter here. It's a slow news day today folks, not a lot of big talking points or happenings in the world of Professional Wrestling. However, we're going to start with the feedback from last week's sitdown interview with Mr. Alex DeColt. Largely, the feedback has been positive, and the interview was well-received. I thought Alex was well-spoken, and generally positive about the business. He was also positive about what CWA have been able to achieve so far. I've heard rumours that Alex's son Danny DeColt is due to complete his training soon!! I'll keep an eye on his progress, but he could debut for a company by the end of this year! It's great to see more DeColts coming into the business. Will there be more Stones too?

Some Oceania news now, as Black Flash has completed his expected move over to ZEN. The 'well known' Australian masked athlete slots nicely into the upper mid card of the company, joining Shaolin and fellow former-RAW employee Monday Next as the third new signing of 2020. ZEN decided to not extend the contracts of, and release the trio of Auklund Raider, Lerone Slim and Buckminster Snark earlier in the year. Flash, Shaolin and Monday appear to be their direct replacements on the roster. Speaking of direct replacements, DIW have added Merv Matera to their broadcasting team, letting Dean Hawkins leave the company, which is a shame but does make sense.

Sticking with Oceania, I'll spend a little bit of time here talking about one of my favourite promotions right now: RAW, and their TV Show Attitude! A disappointing 11th Anniversary Show Rating was followed up with an excellent episode of the TV show the following week. We saw Swoop McCarthy make his first appearance as RAW TV Champion in 2020... He opened and closed the show, coming to the aid of Loxley Robbins who was being beaten down 2 on 1 by the excellent Frogue Element and Blake Belushi, which is the correct use of their top star. We also saw a furthering of the Nathan McKenzie/Montgomery Croft story, and a brutal contest between Matty Wills and Tye LiberTeen. Just, blood, everywhere!!

I'm starting to find RAW the most enjoyable wrestling show of the week each week, and that quite frankly scares me. Is it the Jack Bruce influence? Or is there more to it than that? In my opinion, Bruce's arrival has made a big impact on the company. But he also arrived at a time when multiple top talents, and I mean MULTIPLE, top talents, were just hitting their prime! Swoop, Frogue, Blake, Captain, Kerry, Loxley, Steele, Jackson, Croft, Goode, Gilbert, McKenzie, Echo... The list goes on, but they're all between the age of 30 and 36!! It is truly unbelievable that they have that many top guys all hitting their peak at the same time. The golden era indeed!

I for one can't wait until next week, and the continuation of McKenzie/Croft. Check it out guys.

I have to keep this short, because I'm gonna head to the hospital and see how Matty Wills is doing. He lost a LOT of blood, and that cut was nasty. Heard he's going to need a bunch of stitches, and a possible transfusion. Poor kid. Speaking of poor kids, Frankie LiberTeen was cut up about causing the injury but he's got his boys, they're all rallying around him. Knowing Frankie like I think I do, he'll be at the hospital when I get there.

I paired up a few talents from developmental on the pre-show tonight, just to put them out there in front of the crowd and see how they do. One tag team I put together was Hack Greer and Hack The Hunter. Because, their first names are Hack. And I'm happy to report that they showed GREAT chemistry as partners. This is good news for the two youngsters. I like them both for various reasons.

Umm... Before we go here, Nathan McKenzie and Montgomery Croft continue to roll. I'm still really liking what I'm seeing from both of them. Kerry and his brothers are building momentum nicely. I need to spend some time putting the teams together for the Easter Egg Hunt show. I'll work on that tomorrow.

I can assure you, the storyline is not to do with diabetes. I've enjoyed dragging the feud/story out, and keeping things secret but where I'm writing, I'm kind of just ready to do the reveal now. I might let it go another month, and bare in mind I'm writing around a month ahead of what I'm posting.

LiberTeen are improving all the time, but there are a couple of them I could probably ditch and not be too bothered. The problem/good thing is, they're so over! Their popularity never seems to go down, no matter what I do, and they do win occasionally, but it's rare. A handy group to have around as enhancement talent. Most new guys I bring in to the company or developmental have little to no popularity. So they can always start with a LiberTeen feud.

Swoop A Doop! I really hope you all like the plans I have for Swoop, as I'm taking a BIG risk to get there. I don't normally map out a full year of stories for someone, I'm normally 1-3 months ahead in terms of arcs, but with Swoop and Frogue Element, I had to do something! I mentioned it before, but putting Swoop in the Title feud, I booked myself into a corner in a way, because Swoop was and is the most over guy on the roster. I didn't want him losing any of that 80+ popularity, even though the rest of his skills are plenty good enough to keep him as my top guy no matter what happens to his pop. But then Frogue losing puts him in a rough spot, so I had to come up with a plan. As I said, it's a big, big, risk. So I hope you like it.

Cole Taylor is hugely talented! Bit of a 'sleeper' on my roster if that makes sense, in that he's not one of the biggest stars (Swoop, Jackson, Frogue, Loxley). He's not even one of those, 'upper mid card' talents who could be a Main Eventer at the drop of a hat (Captain, Kerry, Croft, Steele). But I can easily see myself pushing a guy like Cole, with his abilities, down the line. I think I'd need to find a great gimmick/character or story for him though.
