Vegas Nights Review

I had mixed feelings over Vegas Nights, sure the show was deemed a success with 1,590 in attendance and 341,984 viewers watching from home. But the main concern coming out of the shows was that SIn City Wrestling lacked stars. Good news on that front is that we still have some wrestlers that we have managed to sign from the likes of USPW, TCW and SWF who whose contracts expire at the end of February and should start to appear in March. This could backfire as we had to offer some good money to get them to sign, I guess having a network does have big advantages.

You may have noticed that we changed up the Blackjack round robin to just 8 people instead of 20. We decided to do this as it was easier to follow. The show itself was all matches, this is what we wanted from our special events. There may be the odd segment but we will see.

Anyways onto the show. The two matches that stood out according to wrestlereviews.com were the main event of Pablo Rodriguez against Clark Alexander and Frankie Perez against Doug Peak, both getting scores of 53/100. There is some concern that the likes of Alexander, Peak and Russell will struggle with the match lengths that are required in SCW and we will have to monitor them. The good news is that they are handshake deals so if need be I will have to let them go.

The Women's match got a good rating I thought with Debbie Rose defeating Christy Higgins to advance 42/100. The lowest rating match on the main card was Ant-Man against The Architect 36/100.

The other concern from people watching from home was the announcers, we have reached out to other talent but I guess everything at the start is trial and error.

USA Sports 1 said they liked what we put out and that we looked like we were going in the right direction. They did point out that we have a lot of talent signed up and asked me to come up with a way of using lower card talent, more on that soon.

Our Next Monthly event is Double Down in April. This event will feature the "Double Down" match. That's all I have for today, I hope to see you all Wednesday night for SCW Wildcard!!

Last night was fun, everyone had a blast. Even though attendance was way down from Vegas Nights we attracted 403,527 viewers.

The main event of the night which saw Frankie Perez defeat Billy Russell to pick up 3 points in the Blackjack round robin. The worst rated match on the main card was Doug Peak defeating Nelson Callum. This is the second match that Doug has struggled with the match lengths in SCW and it's worrying.

The women stepped up again and was the second best rating match on the night. We feel we have a strong set of female wrestlers that can keep the division great.

Update on SCW:

Hey Guys, Thank you to everyone who has took their time out to read and comment on my Diary. I have just Got the all clear to get ready for work and with that and my little baby I'm going to struggle writing out shows( Never been good anyway haha).

So I've decided that with SCW I'm going to write chapters leading up to the big events.

So My next post will be leading up to Double Down. I have got SCW through to October at the minute and I am really excited to share what the company has been up to.

THE ROAD TO DOUBLE DOWN

Coming off the huge debuts was big for Sin City Wrestling. We showed that we have the financial power to beat the guys like TCW and USPW but it's not just about that, We wanted to have the best shows and having guys like Tommy and Starr would help the younger stars and SCW in General.

The Following Wildcard saw A huge upset in the Round robin as Atlas defeated the legend Tommy Cornell in the main event to bag 3 points. In the other match Hollywood Bret Starr took the 3 points by defeating Funky Fedora.

The Las Vegas Classic carried on with Youngman, Fro Sure and Ozzie Goldstein advancing to the next round of the tournament. And the Rng Generals defeated The Canadian Daredevils to advance to the finals in the Casino Tag.

Nelson Callum continued to march on with Emily McQueen at his side by defeating Ant-Man. After the match Callum Assaulted Ant-man more.

The following week saw the Round Robin come to a close as Tommy Cornell picked up 3 points against Funky Fedora but it wasn't enough as Atlas defeated Bret Starr to bag another 3 points and win the table!

In women's action The little underdog Paige Croft picked up a win over Simony Sentinel to Advance to the finals of the Queen of Sin. Paige has been overcoming all the odds and people are starting to believe in her!

After the match Debbie Rose and Kate Lilly attacked Paige to send her a message.

The Latino Kings made there presence felt in SCW when they took out the Rock City Stars Backstage. Stan and Ryan were just doing an hype interview when they were attacked.

With two Wildcards left until Double Down everything was getting hot!

The Next show started off with owner Sam Strong in the ring with Cornell, Starr and Fedora. He announced that At Double Down they will face each other and Sterling Whitlock in the first ever Double Down Match! Sam explained that the match will start with all four men in the ring and the winner will be the first to score two pinfalls!

The four men were then put in tag team action in the main event which saw Whitlock and Cornell defeat Bret Starr and Fedora.

Not waiting for Double Down Frankie Perez challenged Atlas to to match but was unsuccessful in defeating him. After the match Pablo Rodriguez attacked both men, standing tall over them.

The Las Vegas Classic Final was set up as Ernest Youngman and Fro Sure won their matches to advance to the finals. Both have are exciting and should put in a good match.

Paige Croft got some payback in Debbie Rose and Kate Lilly when she found a partner in Suzzane Brazzle and picked up the win. And Dean Waldolf picked up a singles in over California Love Machine when Frankie-Boy Fernandez hit his partner by mistake.

The final Wildcard before Double Down has some good matches and another debut!

The main event saw Tommy Cornell and Frankie Perez team to pick up a win over Pablo Rodriguez and Atlas.

The Rock City Stars came back this week and attacked The Latino Kings after their match against The Heartbreak Express. after Rudy got he win the Rock Stars hit them with Guitars!

Nelson Callum and Emily McQueen issued an open challenge for Double Down. That was answered the debuting James Prudence!!

And in singles action Suzzane Brazzle picked up a win over Debbie Rose, After the match Rose and Lilly attacked her until Paige Croft made the save!!

All In all Double Down looks to be a good show on paper with some decent matches with the crowning of our Champions.

THE ROAD TO JACKPOT

Double Down was a success and we gaining more popularity. Over the course of the next few weeks Wildcard had some cracking matches and feuds develop. Going Coastal manged to defeat the Ring Generals for the Tag Team Titles. Tommy Cornell and Sterling Whitelock got into a heated rivalry and Hollywood Bret Starr was the man to Challenge Frankie Perez.

The Next Big Event is Jackpot. Here are the matches.

Frankie Perez's first title was when he defeated Atlas on Wildcard, after that match Hollywood Brett Starr attacked the Champion from behind signalling his attention to take the SCW Global Championship.

SCW Tag Team Championship

Going Coast manged to defeat Ring Generals a few weeks back on Wildcard for the Tag Titles. Now they have to face a team they know well in the Rich and Famous.

Sterling Whitlock VS Tommy Cornell[/b]

Tommy Cornell will have to wait for his title shot as Sterling Whitlock is in his way. the past few weeks Whilock and Cornell have been at each others throats. At Jackpot They battle in a 2 our of 3 falls match.

American Flash VS Americana Jr VS Angel Of Mercy VS Masked Cougar VS Matt Sparrow VS Tigre Salvaje

6 of the best SCW Cruiserweights battle it out in a Jackpot Ladder match, The Winner receives a Title match when they want.

Debbie Rose has been asking for a rematch against The Champion and at Jackpot she gets it. If she loses she cannot challenge for the Queen of SCW Championship whilst Paige Croft is champion.

SAtlas VS Pablo Rodriguez

Pablo has been the one to get the fury of Atlas after he failed to win the Global Championship. Atlas heard that Pablo had been laughing at his loss and since then they have been at odds.

SJames Prudence VS Nelson Callum

Nelson still hasn't got over his loss to Prudence at Double Down and issued a rematch. Can Nelson get even?
