It's been a while since I was hungry, the itch was starting to come back. Since 1975 I had been in the wrestling industry. My opening match was for the American Pro Wrestling Federation, my last match was in 2005, against Rip Chord.

I had a great in ring career with some great memories from my time in TCW and SWF, I was the main force of professional wrestling. My best work was the Owner of USPW. Over the next 10 years I established them as a genuine force in American wrestling. I finally retired from the business in 2014.

Since then I have kept a close eye on the wrestling world whilst I went on with my life. I helped out with a local Children's Charity and best of all I spent time with my loves ones.

But the last year and half I have felt lost and my mind kept asking can I do more, can I go back to wrestling. I didn't have a clue as what I would do I just wanted to be a part of it again.

I started looking at my options in May and had a talks with a couple of promotions in America and one in Canada. Unfortunately nothing came of these as we couldn't agree on our goals. I thought that i was not to be and considered just staying put, that what until a phone call in July.

It was a sunny Wednesday morning and I was sat at home watching an old episode of according To Jim, when the phone rang. I picked up the phone and it was a women called Robyn Smith. She explained that she was the PA for the President of USA Sports 1 Steven Showtime and after hearing about myself wanting to return they had a proposal that he wanted to talk to be about. Intrigued agreed to meet up with Steve a week later, He agreed to pay for my expenses and travel.

I arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada on the following Tuesday and at around 1.30 in the afternoon met Steven Showtime at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. He explained to me his vision and how I could help with his master plan. Mr Showtime wanted to start a wrestling promotion in Vegas, with a casino style themed background. With his network and people he knew the promotion could have great publicity before it even had a show. He also knew that with myself on board it would send a warning to everyone else.

I liked what Steve pitched to me, he allowed me to go away and come back a few days later with my answer. When I met up with him again gave him my conditions for the promotion, I wanted full control of the place. I explained that it had to be promotion that had great wrestlers, cool characters and with a bit of entertainment.

We spent a good few hour jotting down our ideas and we agreed to plan for a good few months with some good scouting and the launch in 2020 with our first show end of January or Middle of February.

I was really excited about this, but nervous at the same time. I was putting my reputation on the line for this new promotion. Could I do this, Could I make a new promotion strong.

I was on my was home on the plan when the name came to me, it was great, it was fitting what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!!

The months after our talks went fast, during that time we made sure we had everything covered. Once I had the promotion details ready, USA Sports began there publicity stunts, we had adverts on there channels every day, posters in every Casino and hotel in Vegas and radio advertisements. Mr. Showtime was showing me that he really did mean business!

By November I had an idea of who I wanted on our roster. so far we have 81 wrestlers on a list, 24 have been signed on written deals with a few of them exclusive to us the rest we have agreed handshake deals. Some of them may not get used at first as we get to know them all and some we have plans to repackage. We set up a talent reveal with would showcase most of the talent in Sin City Wrestling that will happen this month.

We launched our website in December with details about the product and Championships. We want our divisions to stand out and each Championship to mean something to the talent and fans. We agreed to have four Championships. Global, Women's, Cruiserweight and Tag Team.

In terms of events the plan is to have a weekly show on the USA Sports network but, I have asked them not to kick things off straight away. We are looking at holding 6 Monthly events to start with the first being called Vegas Nights. This will feature the SCW Vegas Classic tournament with the winner becoming SCW Cruiserweight Champion.

There had been a lot of talk regarding our product. I have told the network that my aim to have the best wrestling matches around, with hard hitting action. I also want to try and have something for everybody in the promotion to with interesting feuds and battles. Hopefully we can achieve this.

Our plans are in place, the question is can we do this? It won't happen over night but we are going to make some noise!!

I second exactly this, it's great that you could basically take out any mention of Vegas, but I'd still know it's Sin City Wrestling. Looking forward to seeing the roster

January 2020

The reveal of our talent went down really well. I feel we have a big roster, but with experience and a few rookies in there. We nearly have our staff signed up to deals and should be able to reveal them soon. With a month away from our first show everyone is really excited with what we can achieve.

A few days ago we held a company meeting with all the talent to get them information on how Sin City Wrestling will run. We explained that Gimmicks won't be necessary in the promotion, but if we use them we will use them for the right people.

President of USA Sports 1 Steven Showtime was nest to speak to the talent and explained his goals and how events will happen. If the 6 monthly events go well This year then next year we will look and increasing them. he also stated that at the moment the planned TV show Wildcard might launch sooner than expected and details should be announced in a few days.

I then ended the meeting with news about the championships in Sin City. Each division in SCW will have its own style of Tournament to crown the first Champions. I am very excited about these and details will come soon.

I was happy sure, the everyone turned up and showcased what they had to offer in SCW. Like I had told them in the meeting, we have a big roster here in SCW, It's their chance to perform and steal the show. We had some great matches and I made sure everyone knew that.</p><p> </p><p>

Now our debut show is out of the way, its time for the big one, Vegas Nights. This is where the tournaments start and wins and losses start to count. Each month we hope to release rankings for each division.</p><p> </p><p>

We also concluded that Wildcard will launch the Wednesday following Vegas Nights. We are still talking about if we will go live or block tape shows. We are still planning what will air during the show shows. It will be a great to get on air and for more time for the wrestlers.</p><p> </p><p>

Before Vegas Nights we will announce the talent that will be in each tournament. </p><p> </p><p>

Excellent ! Just one thing I would recommand is maybe putting a bit extra time on the video when we read the matches results, we don't have the time to read it completely ! Otherwise fantastic presentation

The presentation has really kept up, it's looking awesome. Debut show was good, will look forward to once the weekly shows get going properly.

I agree with cecede that perhaps some of the parts with more text needed to be on the screen much, but at the same time once suggestion I would have would be to speed up some of the other parts. For example of dice rolling thing was cool, a unique transition from one match to another, although by the 5th time it came on I was sort of wishing it was sped up a little.

Although one thing that perhaps is my fault is I can't see the bottom of the video where you can pause/skip/rewind/change the speed. I know when others have used embedded videos on here (first that comes to mind is 20LEgend's ECW and current Kurt Angle 2020 diary) is they have that bar. So sometimes I put it on 1.2 speed, or if I miss something I can easily go back. Also means you can speed it up as much as you want on your end, because people can easily pause or rewind if they miss something. So I'm not sure if there's some different way to embed the video? I've never done it before so wouldn't know. Maybe some people can see the options?

Although the way it is embedded currently is very clean and looks good so it's not a big deal either way!

I can't think of a diary though that's had as strong a theme running throughout it so looking forward to see where you take it.

Edit: Just gone back to the show and remembered I can always just click the link to open the show on youtube, which obviously then gives me the chance to speed it up/pause it etc.
