Nice show, I thought the tag team speed dating was a great concept.

Interested to see where this Swoop angle goes. I'm hoping its a new character behind it, rather than one we already know. But realistically I'm not sure who you could bring in with the popularity to make it a contest with Swoop. I guess we'll see

Being Australian, I've wanted to give RAW a go myself, but there's only so many angles I have the mind space to be running at once. Maybe one day I'll give the soap opera a try.

Just catching up with the last two, Steele is an excellent psycho.

"George keeps on dancing, but sobs."

"Oh so does that explain how we can all be here drinking into the night after only just being in that tag match."

Loved the whole segment at the bar. Intriguing ending.

Big win for the WorldStar. Swoop's abduction was a great cliff hanger. Glad I could go straight into the next one.

Don't think I've mentioned yet, but I like the match write ups. Furthering stories all the time, even if just of the individuals.

Having set up Swoop as the main event everpresent, his absence felt like a big deal.

The Cluesome Twosome are great, catchy song and that segment was brilliant. It felt like a gta cut scene or something. Such a great story developing, and I can't wait to see what comes next with it.

Liked how you worked Frogue accepting the challenge with the other roster members commenting on him being a coward.

Really liking Rod Sullivan, the speed dating was well done too. Such a great idea.

Might be an out there prediction, but I'm wondering if the Swoop & Croft storylines might cross paths. I guess we'll find out soon

Another great episode, very unique and I can't remember seeing anything like it before. Without spoiling anything, I loved how it all came together and had a good arch for the hour. Wasn't where I expected Swoop's story to go at all, but felt like the type of thing you could only see in RAW. No other company could have done something like that, but it worked really well!

Now we're at the end of the second month I thought I'd post a real brief rundown of storylines. Mostly just so new people, or perhaps readers who mostly skim read through it can be up to date with the main going ons. But the bottom in particular could still be interesting to anyone who has followed along as it's essentially a road map of what's coming up.

What has happened in January and February?

The troubles of Swoop McCarthy

With RAW it would feel wrong not to start with our figurehead. He's had a very tough start to 2020. In 6 straight main events he would take too much accumulative damage and end the run with an important loss to 'WorldStar' Maurice Jackson.

The formation of The Main Event Mafia

A new stable would form comprised only of top level talent. Although there is no clear leader Jackson is often the mouthpiece, Rahmel Goode, former 2x TV Champion is the level headed enforcer, tough and silent. Then 'Unbreakable' Luke Steele gives the trio a touch unpredictability, perhaps even insanity. So far the group have accomplished what they initially set out, to defeat Swoop. Now it sounds like they have set their gaze on gold.

The title reign of the coward Frogue Element

Despite being RAW TV Champion many have called Frogue out for being spineless, and it would be hard to argue this. But what really put him on the wrong side of most people was breaking an unwritten code of wrestling when he refused to help Swoop McCarthy take on Main Event Mafia even though he personally had been attacked by them. This refusal has brought Captain Wrestling II into the picture who plans to take his title and teach him a lesson in respect.

Blake Belushi's balding issues

Belushi was embroiled in a bitter feud with Loxley Robbins over hair envy. When Blake defeated his rival Loxley came good on his word and provided Blake with his shampoo, however this ended awfully for Blake who was embarrassed during a modelling audition in Milan due to the appearance of a bald patch! Now he's spending his time on the streets of Milan trying to save up money for a 1st class flight home.

Despite his insistence that the hairloss had nothing to do with him people were suspicious of Loxley, he did however pass a lie detector test which in most peoples eyes has proved his innocence. He's also now fundraising for a FundMe page set up to help get Blake his ticket home.

Big Mac vs Montgomery Croft

'Big Mac' Nathan McKenzie is one of the fastest rising stars in RAW, yet to be pinned clean he's steamrolled through the lower ends of the RAW roster. Croft has tried to kill this momentum, but also to embarrass the man, digging up dirt through getting a copy of his bank statements.

This completely backfired on Croft though as it turns out Big Mac is also able to find dirt. With the help of The Cluesome Twosome (FKA The Brat Pack) Big Mac is on a journey to uncover a mystery behind Croft that is fast unraveling.

We've already learnt that everything we knew about Croft is a lie. He wasn't born a millionaire with a silver spoon in his mouth as he has always bragged about. No, he's actually called Barry Foster, is 6 years older than he claims, and has two secret children that he hoped would grow up to become his lackeys in wrestling. What's more we now have reason to belief said children are on the RAW roster!

The Wayne Family Drama

The next chapter of the ongoing saga was written. Bullying the breakout solo star of Liberteen Will Beaumont backfired for Kal and Kian Wayne when their brother got involved. Will & Wayne worked together to defeat the mean spirited brothers and through this became a new tag team. However we've already seen that perhaps the honeymoon period is over as Will has been glued to his phone messaging someone, even when he should have had his partners back.

The RAW Quest Title, Nicky Gilbert, Tombstone and the abduction of Swoop McCarthy

The Quest Title belt is a mysterious item. When a champion loses his title he dreams a vision of the future. Rumour has it the longer, and more impressive the title reign the more accurate and detailed the vision.

Over the years this has had many affects for example it told Cole Taylor that he'll experience greatness as part of a trio, leading to the formation of The Three Amigos. More recently Nicky Gilbert lost the title to Tombstone after a very impressive reign. However Nicky's vision was far from what he hoped, simply him in the gym working hard, forever.

Tombstone's reign was short lived, losing it to Lynx. However this didn't stop him from putting a lot of trust in his vision that showed him holding all title belts and having Swoop McCarthy as his right hand man. This motivated him to kidnap Swoop with the help of The Wayne Brothers (who wanted to do something to force others to take them serious). On the last episode of February, Swoop was able to free himself revealing the fact that he was in a secret basement underneath the ring the whole time!

Other noteworthy stories...

4x Tag Champs The RAW Giants split up with Skyscraper deciding he needs some time away to find himself in the hopes that when he returns he'll be destined for bigger things.

The New Generation failed to win tag gold, and after losing more matches there was some clear ill feeling coming from Brodie Lachlan towards Matty Willis despite his partners complete and utter loyalty. Brodie then shocked the world when he turned up at Tag Team Speed Dating to look for a new partner.

Although Brodie didn't find a partner the event was a success pairing two teams, 'The Master of EchoFu' Echo and Isaac Taylor as well as Rod Sullivan and Rick Stantz (two former 4 time tag team champions, both still feeling the affects of their last tag team breakup).

RAW's resident boy band Liberteen have been grounded from wrestling by their manage 'Uncle' Raymond Royce after failing to pick up a victory. The boys are now working on their next album but it's clear there's plenty of tension in the group. New boy Tye has been called up for stepping on the toes of Frankie, trying to steal his bad boy act. The group warned him that they could make him go away like they did Will. Although it's unclear what they mean by that.

What to look forward to in the upcoming months?

1. What will Swoop do now he's free from captivity?

2. Will The Main Event Mafia be successful in their takeover of RAW?

3. Will the Captain take the title and teach some respect to Frogue Element?

4. Who will be revealed as the sons of Montgomery Croft?

5. Why has Will Beaumont been so preoccupied on his phone and will it get in the way of his tag team title match?

6. When and how will Blake Belushi make his way back to Australia?

7. And will we find out the actual cause of his hair loss?

8. With old teams splitting up and new ones forming seemingly every week what will the state of the tag team division be?

9. How will Matty Willis react to Brodie 'cheating on him' by attending TTSD?

10. What will Lynx's Quest Title Open Invitational entail and who will walk out the champion?

11. What happens now to Tombstone and The Wayne Brothers after their failed attempt to turn Swoop McCarthy?

12. What now for Brittini Burke now that Skyscraper has left her?

13. Will the people who failed to find a partner at TTSP focus on singles competition on keep searching for their tag team soul mate?

14. When will Skyscraper return to RAW?

15. Will Swoop McCarthy be able to reach that historic 5th TV Title?

16. Will any of the numerous people with 4 tag title reigns be able to attain number 5?

17. Will the forgetful Mac Guffin remember he was TTSD to find new clients?

18. Who will use the services of The Gimmick Doctor?

19. What are the Liberteens on about regarding Will Beaumont? Where they actually responsible for his exit from the band?

20. Will there be any follow up from the lie detector test that Loxley Robbins has a crush on someone in RAW?!

I was very interested to see what people thought of the Swoop Episode so I appreciate the comments! It's the type of episode I want to use sparingly (0 standard matches, all focused on one storyline) but I'll definitely be doing more like it again, soon in fact.

I don't know why at all but I love 'Isn't that just something?' as his catchphrase, it's so perfectly lame and yet endearingly optimistic.

Tombstone and The Wayne Brothers are on trial, tune in to find out the verdict. <strong>GUILTY AS CHARGED!</strong> <em>I heard a great interview yesterday with Brian Gerwitz (on Jericho's podcast, from a few years ago) and he talked about the time he and Edge and Christian went to wrestler's court. He was hilarious! Really came across well. I recommend the interview for sure. But the bit about wrestler's court was superb! The wrestlers saying nothing to the police was a great touch. Loved that. The Croft mystery as well is great. Always fun to have a storyline with "suspects" and eliminating them one by one!

The five minute time limit stipulation was really smart from the champs. Frogue's attempt at Swoop's intro made me laugh, and the main event having a cut away to Tombstone was good. There's so much unique stuff in this, I'd love to see a real life wrestling show like this. The idea of a thud being heard from above and a wrestler living under the ring. Again, it's like a trivial everyday thing of having a noisy neighbour in the flat above, but this guy lives under a wrestling ring good finish to the main event too. RAW is such a crazy show, another great episode!

Looking forward to the Open Invitational, and the wrestler's court segment
