Live from The Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Japan Rizin 22 will take place 19th April 2020. The main show will host not 1, but 2 championship title fights when Rena Kubota challenges Seo Hee Ham for her 1st title defense following her victory over Ayaka Hamasaki at Rizin 20. The 1st of 2 Asakura brothers; Kai will face off against Hiromasa Ogikubo for the vacant Bantamweight Championship after former Champion Manel Kapel left for UFC earlier this month. Kyoji Horiguchi is still on the sidelines with the same injury that forced him to vacate both Rizin and Bellators Bantamweight Belts and will likely be next in line, injury depending. Welcome back. Looking forward to reading this.

Always love seeing different dynasties on different companies, look forward to reading this :)

Thank you both, i'm looking forward to this one after my last. i shall be taking my time and not flying through years and years. I have edited the above image as the card changed from my original plans and i wanted a more accurate Rizin poster. I hope you all enjoy where it goes from here. Im planning on keeping it "Super Show" directed at least for the foreseen future as this will allow me to build my ranks and also add some UFC stars without feeling like im cheating the system.

Can already tell this is going to be a great dynasty also nice fight poster.

Thank you Mc! Spending time time on posters gives me a little more opportunity to research into my fights. I'm trying not to just throw cards together without reason. RIZIN certainly have some super shows in their books so finding the right talent to mirror this means digging into alot of guys history to find out previous opponents, results and championships. I'm looking forward to this myself.

Competing since 2011, Takahashi has fought for 4 different companies, Demolition Xigma, Vale Tudo Japan, Shooto and most recently ONE Championship. An impressive 8 win streak came to an end in January with a loss to Thanh Le via Knockout. Takahashi is a well known fighter in Japan and will be a perfect match up for Mateusz Gamrot. "Gamer" is undefeated in 16, with 1 No Contest. His most recent bout was a grappling exhibition which he did not win, but does not go on his record. Having not fought since late 2018, Gamrot is hungry to return to Championship ways after being a KSW double champ. Stephanie Egger returns after her RIZIN 17 victory over Reina Miura, since then she does have 1 exhibition grappling loss to Gabrielle Garcia. She welcomes Rin Nikai who is on a 6 fight streak. The Japanese star loves to fight on the ground. Having lost his last 3, UFC decided to release the Brazlian Sergio Moraes who debuts for RIZIN with a record of 14 wins, 6 losses and 1 draw. The 37 year old will face Koshi Matsumoto who holds a record of 20-9-2, with a loss to Daron Cruickshank at RIZIN 10. Roberto de Souza has 9 wins and 1 loss, plus he recently fought at RIZIN 21, submitting a team of 5 in a grappling exhibition. Opening the main card, Tenshin Naukawa returns with a record of 4 wins and 0 losses, the kickboxer looks to continue his rise to stardom with another MMA victory.

- Gamrot remains undefeated at 16-0-1

- Stephanie Egger entered 9lbs heavier than Nakai

- 4 of the 5 main card bouts ended in a decision

- Osunaarashi Kintaro's returned to RIZIN with a dominant performance over the much heavier Hoovelson

- Dustin Ortiz' debut loss left Gigliotti speechless, stating that being given no chance of victory only served to spur him on

- Vuqar Keramov defeated Minoru Kimura and then called for Akiyo Nishiura

- Eddie Ng debuted for RIZIN and after a split decision victory over Han Seul Kim, NG called for a fight with Lightweight Grand Prix Champion Tofiq Musaev, perhaps a little too eager?

Kyoji Horiguchi returns from injury against a familar foe. Horiguchi was forced to vacate both Rizin and Belators Bantamweight Belts and now looks to reclimb the ladder to the top. Nguyen picked up a 1st round knockout against Jae Hoon Moon after his loss to Horiguchi back in April 2019. Horiguchi sandwiched the victory with Championship victories against Caldwell. Could Horiguchi use this as a platform to the top or will Nguyen earn a shot at the belt if he can beat a former champ champ? Rizin's womens divisions are heating up as Rin Nakai and Kana Watanabe face off in the co-main. Both women can fight at multi weights and could be 1 impressive outing away from contention. Brandao and Case both enter on a win and are also being talked about as a title eliminator, with the winner possibly stepping up to challenge Kawajiri in the future. The remainding 4 fighters all come in with a win, Nakamura and Gyu Lim face off whilst Eddie Ng welcomes Gilbert Melendez back to action after his victory over Mike Richman at LFA84

Lamas vs Brandao is an interesting matchup. Lamas went from someone who was at the top.. to crumbling to the bottom. Brandao on the other hand won the ultimate fighter in spectacular fashion and looked like a bright prospect.. until he lost a bunch of matches everyone assumed he would win. Seems like his head got to him tbh.. then he goes to Rizin and goes up and down again. Im curious about this match up the most tbh. Kawajri winning the belt was surprising but not at the same time. I always thought he was underrated. Hes another fighter who has had his up and downs.

The Rizin roster seems to be full of fighters who have had bad times despite their skills. Even with guys like Lamas that ive signed myself. Tawajiri was kind of the best hope at Lightweight with my starting roster, he's doing well so far. I think Gamrot would have taken the belt if it wasnt for his loss to Nakamura for sure. Im hoping the lightweight division can keep things at a heat, especially singe Horiguchi's suspension looks likely not to be overturned.

Mark Hunt and Frank Mir first fought back in 2016 when Hunt defeated Mir in the 1st round. Hunt's last 4 all come by way of loss withe most recent being against now retired Hideki Sekine. Mir has lost 3 since his last bout with Hunt, including a loss to Fedor and Rampage, but did defeat Roy Nelson inbetween those 2. It is unknown if this will be either mans last fight, but the winner may be tempted to hang around by a potential bout with Justin Tafa. Mateusz Gamrot will need to earn himself a victory or 2 if he is to be worthy of a title shot says Kawajiri, and the Pole will have a big test as he welcomes Martin Nguyen. Saiga and West will battle as they look to climb the stacked Bantamweight rankings. Murata is undefeated in 6 and will face Syuri Kondo who comes off a good performance against Davidsdottir. Former champion Hee Ham and Sugiyama will battle it out, but the winner will not be granted a championship challenge quite yet as it looks likely that Hamasaki and Kubota will run it back.
