I love the unloved, so here's some lucha notes for AAA:

I'd recommend adding 'strictly enforced' for the face/heel divide; exceptions certainly happen but 9 times out of 10 it's 3 tecnicos vs 3 rudos.

 

I get your choice of 'Attitude Entertainment', it certainly fits the rougher edge AAA has over CMLL better than 'Lucha Entertainment' would. However, it does mean you miss out on the impact of luchas de apuestas, so maybe it's a sacrifice worth making.

 

Schedule

 

(Let's ignore Lucha Fighter for now.)

 

So, before the world ended, in 2020 AAA haven't really run weekly TV in the way the game is set up. They've done 'big' (ie. broadcast) shows roughly every fortnight (Nacemos Para Luchar Gira 2020), lasting around 2 hours each, with what are basically house shows dotted in-between. These are live on Twitch, and uploaded on about a month's delay on YouTube.

 

However, since fortnightly shows aren't available as an option in TEW 2020, you'll want to avoid having to make 24 annual events. So I suggest you put 'Nacemos Para Luchar Gira 2020' as a 1 hour TV show on Twitch/YouTube Mexico, but set to tape 2 episodes at a time.

 

Roster Additions/Removals

 

You can remove Juventud and Mr Aguila, neither have really wrestled with AAA since 2018 (Aguila's made 2 appearances since then, but they're just annual one-shot deals).

 

There's a few missing big-name regulars: Rush (rudo), Blue Demon Jr (rudo), Mascarita Sagrada (tecnico), Lady Shani (tecnico), LA Park Jr (rudo, and to be clear, this is a different guy to El Hijo de L.A. Park), and La Parka Negra (rudo, also a different guy) to name a few. Oh, and Dr Wagner Jr's back now.

 

There's also a lot of missing minis, like Drago Kid, Laredo Boy, Parkita Negra (yes, another Parka), but they're less regularly featured.

 

Oh, and Hugo Savinovich does commentary. He says PELIGRO! and BRUTAL! a lot.

 

Alignments

 

Monster Clown and Murder Clown recently turned face.

Pentagon Jr is a face.

Super Fly is a heel.

Taya worked as a face recently.

L.A. PARK is a heel.

Argenis is a heel.

 

Attributes & Relationships

 

I'd definitely remove the '100% Babyface' attribute from Tirantes, he's a typical lucha rudo ref.

 

Remove 'Can't Play Comedy' and 'Poor Comedy Matches' from Mr Iguana, he's big-time comedy guy (though your mileage may vary on how funny he is).

 

La Bestia Del Ring is Rush's dad.

 

I think you've accidentally assigned a relationship to the wrong Tito Santana in the form of a strong friendship with Tully Blanchard.

 

Stables

 

Los Ingobernables (or Facción Ingobernable if you prefer) is Rush, L.A. Park, and La Bestia Del Ring. And Konnan apparently, but he's very much in the background.

 

Los OGTs are a heel stable of Averno, Chessman and Super Fly. Their theme music is pretty cool.

Never compromise this, I'm looking forward to jumping into this and I pretty much never play real world mods other than Genadi's because he has a similar attitude, thank you for providing another option I can trust.

 

With that said I'll update this post with anything that stand's out as something that could require a second look or tweek, feel free to take the suggestions or disregard them as you please, ultimately it's your mod!

 

 

NJPW;

- One initial minor concern is that WK N1 & N2 are set to be season finale's and that may lead to problems, might be best to just have N2 set as the finale.

- Events in general are a little packed, regular tour dates mixed in with named tour dates leading to situations were literally almost every day of the week has a show, could be nuts particularly during tournaments.

- Some events that could maybe need a minor boost in importance; Dontaku, BOTSJ Final, Destruction.

- ROH World title is at the same level of prestige as the IWGP Heavyweight, seem's likely to be a mistake.

- RevPro & CMLL should probably be willing to accept excursion talents.

- Stardom maybe set to a mutual friendly attitude since both are owned by Bushiroad. (To be fair, this is simulated somewhat by the IWGP Conception alliance but I can't see the harm in adding the friendship)

- Both NJ Dojo & LA Dojo are set to produce female talents, I can't speak for LA Dojo but I'm fairly sure NJ Dojo is male only?

- A lot of big players like Okada, Tana, Ibushi had awful gimmick ratings in my game but I'm going to assume that's set to random, if it's possible maybe lock in some of the top tier guys as having good or stronger.

- I'm pretty darn happy with the stats of the roster, my only gripes would be with some of the Young Lions in terms of Star Quality; Yuya Uemura, Ren Narita, Shota Umino could all use to be more in line with Yota Tsuji.

- On that note one of the more promising lions seem's to be awol, Hikuleo who is in the Bullet Club and on excursion at Rev Pro.

- Kawato & Tomoyuki Ok seem about right but in terms of the other five lions above they are heavily tipped to be a "Golden Generation" of NJPW over the next decade so a little love might be worth a consideration.

- I think Switchblade & Bad Luck Fale should probably have a strong friendship.

- Chaos stable still regards them as "the predominant group of heels in New Japan" and while that was once true, it really isn't anymore.

I just saw the gimmick rating for the WWE roster and majority of them are awfull or great. I saw in the editor that they are set on random, maybe take look at them?

 

Sorry if this is as much as a feedback i can give, i know pretty close to nothing on current day wrestling (not much in general) and even less about game balance.

EDIT: Some guys (always WWE) are set to be occasional wrestler or other roles but then they contract are for working only as Road Agents. Exemples I remember (Because by the time i noticed i already modified a loto of people roles): MVP, Sonjay Dutt, Jeff Jarrett.

 

Natalya is set to be a manager for Tyson Kidd but he is a retired wrestler.

Just want to say that I really like the presentation with the pic pack and the amount of work that you can tell went into the stats and leveling things off so thank you for the time and effort into it.

 

Not really a mod issue but may be a game one, I noticed in attempting to hire some legends (Flair, Steamboat) that they declined offers wanting to retire in peace. Checking the editor, I noticed that at least Flair has wrestling in the blood so that's kind of odd since I would imagine that would make him continue to be involved.

 

It also seems like WWE go on a major hiring spree so the owner preferences may need to be tuned up there.

 

Overall, I look forward to the depth that personalities and other little touches that get fixed up over time will bring to enhance things even more. I also hope to see some more younger American independent womens wrestlers added into the game in the future to flesh out that scene a little more (but I'm quite happy enough Portia Perez made it in as a big fan). I definitely will be attempting a long term game once the game itself is released and the mod continues to come along. Keep up the great work and all the best.
