I haven’t caught up but keen as so predicting blind!

TNA World Heavyweight Championship

AJ Styles © vs. Kurt Angle

AJ retains to establish him and the youth focus

TNA Knockouts Championship - No DQ - If Tara Loses, She Never Gets Another Shot At The Title

ODB © vs. Tara

Tara wins to force the ODB heel turn. I think cutting Tara out of title picture isn’t possible at this stage as there are a lack of built up challengers for ODB

TNA World Tag Team Championships

Motor City Machine Guns © vs. An Unsigned Mystery Team

Can see a random mystery debut title win being very TNA

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships

Awesome Kong & Hamada © vs. Sarita & Taylor Wilde

I think it’s too early to drop titles and a win will help establish the team

TNA X Division Championship - Creed Invokes His Feast or Fired Title Shot

Amazing Red © vs. Consequences Creed

I think Creed was under utilized irl

TNA Global Championship

Abyss © vs. Eric Young

Abyss retains to remain dominant

If Daniels Loses, Tomko Is Gone From TNA - Tomko Is Barred From Ringside

Daniels vs. Samoa Joe

Tomko is expendable and this stip just screams a Joe win

Desmond Wolfe vs. Jeff Hardy

I love Hardy but I think he will put Wolfe over to build him up

Bobby Lashley vs. Mr. Anderson

Anderson because... well, Anderson

Also there’s a severe lack of The Beautiful People here :-P

They do feel too good to just bin off, especially when they're so much better than everybody else in certain aspects. I think as long as the focus stays with the youngsters, there is no harm in maybe keeping them around. I have ideas for both Sting and Foley, but wasn't 100% sold on doing them. The consensus seem to be to make the most of them, while I can, so I'm thinking I'll go ahead.

I quite like that and will keep it in mind if/when I do decide to bring Sting back on screen. They pretty much did middle aged and crazy Sting during the Hogan Era, so it might not be too far off of a comparison :D

TBH, I think Mick being so good is a facet of the mod and not rooted in the period. Maybe I'm a bit biased, but I don't think he contributed much to their on-screen product and the dude never came off as much more than a check-casher.

Sting on the other hand was definitely the 'credibility guy' for TNA, moreso than anybody else from 2002 to 2009. He was still great afterwards in a limited role, but I think he would have been far better off as an 'final boss of goodness' than the main event role he still maintained. Like, if he'd 'retired' in 2009 and done a Bill Watts where he was the authority figure who occasionally wrestled (which I think he did for like six months in 2013 or 2014 to great success), he'd have been far less of a millstone around the younger guys.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship

AJ Styles ©

AJ is the face that rules the place! Plus I think Angle has another path to take.

TNA Knockouts Championship - No DQ - If Tara Loses, She Never Gets Another Shot At The Title

Tara

Guessing Tara might be on time decline, but think she’s the better choice.

TNA World Tag Team Championships

Motor City Machine Guns ©

Guess it’s the Wolves, but Guns win.

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships

Awesome Kong & Hamada ©

Meh, indifferent here, but Kong and Hamada seem to be a force

TNA X Division Championship - Creed Invokes His Feast or Fired Title Shot

Amazing Red ©

To me Red represents the X division really well.

TNA Global Championship

Abyss ©

Abyss retains to maintain his aura of legitimacy

If Daniels Loses, Tomko Is Gone From TNA - Tomko Is Barred From ringside

Samoa Joe

I oddly like Tomko but not sure of his in game value.

Desmond Wolfe

I love Wolfe

Bobby Lashley

Just feel like he wins

Another two good shows, I was happy to see that the Gargano thumbnail was in some ways a swerve as I'm glad to see you holding off on those types of signings that whilst seem like obvious ones to make, realistically would just be too early like you say.

Mick's a tough one, of course I agree that he doesn't really fit with Heyman's vision, well not at all. But especially after his promo I do want to see him get one last good chance to shine. I suppose it is a shame if in the mod he's still got great wrestling stats but as much as I appreciate you sticking close to reality at the same time part of the reason for diaries like these is to see alternative timelines, and if one of the ways that this timeline differs is that Mick got in better shape and extended his run then that's far from out of the realm of possibility.

That's not at all to say I think Mick should be world champion or anything, more just I wouldn't let our perceptions of what they were like affect things too much. Nothing wrong with leaning into and embracing some of the differences between the mod and real life.

If I'm not wrong, Knocked Out! uses the same database as you. Could be working look at his recent shows and see who's delivering ratings a few months down the line.

Also, Frankie Kazarian is obviously Traci Brook's client. He's her husband, he's an X-Division champion and he's been involved in his storyline. ;)

I like the idea of sending Heyman out essentially just to hype the PPV. It's useful in that it's a) realistically something that would happen. b) In-game allows you to get some extra heat on your storylines in a way that doesn't feel too gamey. and c) It allows you personally to actually hype the PPV for us readers but do it in a way that fits being in the actual videos easily.

Enjoying the Homicide/Dinero feud more than I thought I would have. And poor Sharkboy. I feel like in a weird alternate universe he could have randomly blown up and had a run (albeit short) higher up the card.

Did he always do that Stone Cold thing? When I picture Sharkboy I picture him wearing the Stone Cold jacket and putting on Austin's voice, pretending to chug beers, that sort of thing. But for all I know that was literally just one promo. I'd go from watching TNA often to going years without reading anything about it so my memories are pretty unreliable.

That's not at all to say I think Mick should be world champion or anything, more just I wouldn't let our perceptions of what they were like affect things too much. Nothing wrong with leaning into and embracing some of the differences between the mod and real life.

For Mick, I have an idea, but it's not like he's great in-ring in the mod I don't think. It's just his microphone skills and probably psychology and stuff. I'm a huge fan of his promos, like a lot of people, and feel he has something to offer. He's never going to be a weekly feature again, and I don't think he has many great moments in TNA, but this one storyline should be fine I think. More for what it does for the other person, and less giving Foley one last time to shine :)

If I'm not wrong, Knocked Out! uses the same database as you. Could be working look at his recent shows and see who's delivering ratings a few months down the line.

Also, Frankie Kazarian is obviously Traci Brook's client. He's her husband, he's an X-Division champion and he's been involved in his storyline. ;)

I think it's a different database, but the one I used for the TEW 2016 part of this save. I'm definitely keeping up with Knocked Out! though. Mostly because it's excellent, but also because I want to soak in some of the ability to book the Knockouts division.

As for Traci, it's a complete mystery... I couldn't possibly say :D

I think, given what I've seen in interviews, Heyman had a high opinion of this roster, so it makes sense to send "him" out and do the final hype job. Like you say, it gives me the chance to do it too!

I think Shark Boy would probably be really popular if he came around today. He didn't always do the Austin gimmick, but he seems to have done it from 2008 until present day I think. I remember at this time thinking that Anderson was trying to pull of an Austin like gimmick in TNA, but I didn't put two and two together and make this an Austin impression-off! Could have be this universes version of Jay Lethal and Ric Flair's woo-off :(
