Killing the Business 2020 MOD FULL RELEASE

<p>This mod is great, I really enjoy the fact that it is trimmed down compared to some of the other real world mods, and I don't have to wait ages to progress a day.</p><p> </p><p>

That said, I've noticed what I would consider to be some fairly big names missing. Admittedly, none of them are overly active in big companies these days, but their absence does detract a little from the mod for me.</p><p> </p><p>

Carlito <-- this one in particular, as I was really keen to get a Colon faction going</p><p>

Chris Masters/Mordetzky/Adonis - I would never rule him out from appearing at a known company in the future. Hell, I could easily see him as a surprie Royal Rumble entrant in the next few years</p><p>

Paul London - wikipedia suggests he works as a producer for Impact wrestling, and I've not heard that he has retired, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they could use him in the same way as Glenn Gilberti at some point</p><p>

Mark Jindrak - admittedly, he hasn't wrestled in 2 years, but I can see that changing in the near future after featuring in the Ruthless Aggression series on the WWE Network</p><p> </p><p>

There will obviously be more, and I do understand why a lot would be left out - it's a big part of what makes this mod so good, but I was wondering if there was any chance of including any extra guys? It would be difficult to give accurate stats for wrestlers who haven't wrestled for a while, so that's why they're not in the mod presumably</p>

Does anyone know if there’s a work around to getting a broadcast deal after being dropped? For some reason if you get dropped no other broadcaster wants to talk to you for an entire year. Seems unrealistic given how often we see shows switch networks (specifically TNA in the past).</p>

That's a TEW thing. It's in the handbook. Basically, it's really, really important for any mod maker to make sure their network requirements aren't too bad and bookers are pretty good because that penalty is uber-harsh.

Haven't played a Real World Mod in a while but I'm absolutely in love with AEW right now and have been since their birth! Thought I'd give your mod a spin to get my RW fix and it looks excellent, my friend. Not even booked a card yet, just the look of it is getting me giddy!

 

Also, have to say, love the pictures used for Best Friends when you combine them on the Tag Team screen. Gave me a chuckle!

TSN2 had higher demands than TNT for Dynamite, despite being on in PrimeTime for TNT, and Late Night for TSN2.

 

I also find the broadcasters in TEW are just really quick to drop shows. It only a took 2-3 shows after a PPV where I was just starting new storylines and trying out some new matchups, that I finished 1-3 points below their expectation for them to drop me, despite have a couple of months of above expectation shows.

 

Ideally the broadcaster drop function will get tweaked by Adam, but perhaps TSN2 needs to be tweaked in this mod to make up for it?

 

I constantly see SmackDown get moved to Late Night as well.

No, because of the mechanics of how they work in game. Touring you'd be bleeding money and the AI would treat them poorly, iirc. There was a very large discussion about touring and real-world puro companies.

 

Don't remember what the consensus was, but I think I came out of it feeling that NJPW has very few actual "touring" shows in the TEW sense, and the majority of their shows (even stuff like the G1 days) are lesser shows, with the finals being your regular events. Just due to the way booking/popularity gains&losses/event attendance work in game.

 

Also the Road To shows are still on NJPW world.

 

Basically TEW isn't set up to mirror this, and this seems like the best workaround.

I legit was just coming to check and see if you had gotten around to finishing the post Double or Nothing update. Can't wait to start booking AEW effective June 1st when the pic pack is up!

 

I love this mod. It's not great for a local to global because everyone with even a modicum of talent is signed up immediately, but it is fantastic to play as an established company.

Its more a historic concept, used prior to the likes of NJPW World and WWE Network etc, but by setting up the TV Asahi deal it stops the AI creating a weekly TV show and allows NJPW to maintain their true real life schedule in game.

Oh great, I get it. So basically it will only use the NJPW World broadcaster for pretty much everything. Love it, it makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

That's fair. I think only a few in the mod is fine too. If I had to shorten the list, I'd go with:

Alan Angels (he had competitive matches with both Omega and Fenix and shone, so he'll probably be back at some point)

 

I just wanted to mention that the AEW website lists Anna Jay and Pres10 Vance on the official roster page. I can't find any data that has Anna Jay in there, it's weird.

<p>So, in playing as AEW, I'm running into an issue where 90% of the female roster pisses the fans off (Including the Women's Champion, Hikaru Shida) because they are "unimportant". </p><p> </p><p>

I really don't want to go and edit their popularity, but it's making faithful booking hard, since AEW usually does focus on their Women's Division pretty well.</p>
