Does having that many titles help or hinder your workers' popularity in any way, or can you have a million titles and it wouldn't matter? I haven't personally tried playing with so many.

January 1970 - February/March 1971

WWWF World Heavyweight - Bruno Sammartino

WWWF US Heavyweight - Ernie Ladd

WWWF Junior Heavyweight - Pedro Morales (x3)

WWWF International Tag Team - Antonio Inoki & The Destroyer

Jan 1970 - April/May/June (Wk.2) 1971

WWWF World Heavyweight - Bruno Sammartino

WWWF US Heavyweight - Ernie Ladd

WWWF Junior Heavyweight - Victor Rivera (x2)

WWWF International Tag Team - Gorilla Monsoon & Pedro Morales

Things are heating up again for the WWWF. Sammartino, Morales, Inoki & Destroyer, and Ladd all maintained a solid grip on their respective belts. That was until the Showdown at Shea series kicked off the last week of May with a sellout crowd. All summer long, the end of the month show will be at Shea Stadium.

Ernie Ladd goes out with an injury for 6 weeks after suffering a rib contusion in a win against Dominic DeNucci. Off the show entirely to recover, he will face DeNucci in a rematch as soon as he returns end of June.

Emile Dupre enters into a white hot series with Bruno Sammartino. Dupre had a short winning streak following his losses to Pedro Morales earlier in the year. The smaller technical heel in Dupre seems to counterpoint the Italian Strongman perfectly, each match a 90+ rating.

Inoki & The Destroyer explode at Boston Garden! After narrowly defeating Ivan Koloff & Nikolai Volkoff; sick of Inoki's rising star & JWA commitments, a post-match interview gave way to pure chaos. The Destroyer knocks Inoki cold with his own tag belt! This leads to a 1v1 submission match at Shea Stadium, where the winner keeps both titles and chooses a new partner to defend them with. The Destroyer wins via figure-four and refuses the tag belts. He proceeds to vacate the titles at the post-match interview and says, "Any further questions can be directed to my new agent, Gary Hart". Inoki takes time off to strategize with a returning Karl Gotch.

The following week, Pedro Morales is issued an ultimatum by Vincent J McMahon, "Compete for the tag belts with Gorilla Monsoon against Koloff & Volkoff, OR continue on defending the Junior Heavyweight title". Pedro relinquishes his title to win the tag team titles at Madison Square Garden with Monsoon mid-June. The newly vacated Junior Heavyweight championship went into a #1 vs #2 eliminator where Victor Rivera defeated Pat Barrett at the Civic Arena. This series isn't over as Rivera beat Barrett down post-match forcing Dominic DeNucci to make the save.

Behind the scenes at WWWF, Vince K. McMahon takes a seat at the booking table next to his father.

Notes: JCP started a war with EWW and stole some key workers from them such as Road Warriors, Harley Race, Bob Backlund. AWA is falling a bit having in Dusty Rhodes, Kevin Von Erich and Bam Bam Bigelow the only stars after a failed push with Austin Idol and still green for main eventing Dean Malenko and Scott Hall. WWF is carried on by Barry Windham and Jerry Lawler. There is an ongoing big push for Brad Armstrong as he won the Royal Rumble and he his feuding with Windham but the fact is the guy is unmarketable and this is a problem for not very solid WWF finances. In Mexico in LLL the main story is a big feud into Guerrero family with Hector and Eddie Guerrero as faces and Chavo and Mando as Heels. This will bring to a Hector Guerrero vs Chavo Guerrero for LLL Mega Leyenda title.

FREEDOMS December 2020-October 2021

Ruler of FREEDOMS Championship

Masashi Takeda (3) - Week 4, December 2020 - Present

Royalty of FREEDOMS Tag Championship

Chris Dickinson and Steve Manders - Week 1, May 2021 - Present

The Story of Masashi Takeda

Takeda's reign began after defeating champion Toru Sugiura at Jun Kasai/FREEDOMS' Blood X'Mas show and has been going strong ever since. He defeated long-time partner, friendly rival, and fellow UNCHAIN member Jun Kasai in March of 2021 for his first defense with the stipulation that if Takeda retained Kasai could not challenge for the belt for a full calendar year.

He would then pick up wins over Toshiyuki Sakuda and Isami Kodaka through the early parts of 2021, leading up to his big rematch against Toru Sugiura at July's Tokyo Deathmatch Carnival. This would be a hellacious match ended with a barbed-wire wrapped ankle lock. Following the match Masashi Takeda would turn his back on UNCHAIN and the rest of FREEDOMS, creating a new stable known as DICTATORSHIP with Kenji Fukimoto (Jun Kasai's former partner and UNCHAIN member), Takumi Tsukamoto, Tomoya Hirata, and Daisuke Masaoka. From there, he defeated former ally Rina Yamashita and is looking ahead to a match against Minoru Fujita at Bloody Halloween.

The Story of Chris Dickinson and Steve Manders

Coming in from America's Game Changer Wrestling promotion, Chris Dickinson and Steve Manders would make almost an immediate impact. Ending Violento Jack and Mammoth Sasaki's monstrous two-year 9 defense reign, the two wouldn't slow down. Now with defenses over Tony Deppen & Daniel Makabe, Toshiyuki Sakuda and Takayuki Ueki of the 3rd Generation Chimidoro Brothers, and a rematch win over Violento and Mammoth, the duo don't look to be slowing down in the slightest.

The Story of ASUKA

Although not listed as a champion, ASUKA was the current reigning UWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion before it was retired for a brand new belt: the Fighter of FREEDOM Openweight Championship. With the influx of non-hardcore wrestlers such as GLEAT stars, Katsuhiko Nakajima and Minoru Tanaka, young fighter Leona Fujinami, and more, Takashi Sasaki decided to make a belt less limiting to these competitors.

Before that, however, ASUKA would hold the UWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship for well over 120 days, picking up defenses against some of the best Jrs. FREEDOMS has to offer in Kamui, Yuya Susumu, Daisuke Masaoka, and Makoto. ASUKA is now in the tournament to crown the Fighter of FREEDOMS champion, with high hopes to win the whole thing.

5SSW. The last show before the J Grand Prix

World Champion: Romi Yamato (defeated Yuma Maruya at Joshimania) - 54 days reign

Triangle Champion: Eri Sato (defeated MAYA and HEART Saitoh at Big Crush) - 110 days reign

All-Asian Champion: Lady Lotus (defeated Miwako Katsukawa at Joshimania) - 54 days reign

Tag Team Champions: Torment & Sorrow (defeated The Uprising at Joshimania) - 54 days reign

I had a lot of title changes at Joshimania. It was my first season ender, so I wanted to make things fresh for the next calendar year.

I'm booking the J Grand Prix as a King of the Ring style tournament. The brackets are:

Shiori Jippensha vs Selina Svelte

Machiko Matsuda vs Kaede Sugiyama

Megumi Nakajima vs Yukiko Matsumara

Paige Croft vs Monster Ishimura

The big storyline is Paige Croft's war on the stable known as "Mirai" (Romi Yamato, Eri Sato and Machiko Matsuda) since they basically destroyed her partner and friend Yuma Maruya(who is absent from the company following pregnancy, but was kayfabe hospitalized)

Each week was a demonstration in brutality where they met in 2v2 & 3v3's up until Showdown at Shea. In a best of 3 falls lasting 45 minutes Wahoo lost 2-1, dead lock for match of the year. Bruno offered a rematch should Wahoo want it, and he most certainly does. </p><p> </p><p> Fresh off of a face turn Gene Kiniski shot into Ernie Ladd's crosshairs. After Ladd shot a series of humorous promos towards Canada, Gene got down to business and took the US Heavyweight title at MSG. Ladd went for the rematch and got dismantled. Retreating to work with the Iron Curtain, Ladd has been seen tagging with Ivan Koloff. Kiniski will go on to defend the US belt against John Quinn. </p><p> </p><p> Pat Barrett finally triumphed over Victor Rivera for the Junior Heavyweight title. A rematch was to follow, but an injury pushed things to the point that Rivera will be in a whole different storyline by the time he returns. Since then Barrett has been defending against the likes of Charlie Fulton and Johnny Rodz.</p><p> </p><p> The Valiants were granted #1 contender status for Gorilla Monsoon and Pedro Morales' International tag titles, but figured a little loophole that would get the US tag team titles to return, should they protest it. The last men to hold the belts were Bruno Sammartino & Spiros Arion in 1967. Arion had been tagging with Bruno intermittently in the summer months so Vincent J McMahon brought back the US tag title for a defense against Johnny and Jerry Valiant. Go figure, Jimmy Valiant was freshly signed away from the AWA and appeared ringside to distract Bruno and get his brothers the win in the Civic Arena. Bruno has bigger problems in Wahoo as Arion teams up with Mario Milano.</p><p> </p><p> The Destroyer and Antonio Inoki have resumed their feud...it's turning into a war of sorts. Destroyer brought in a few faces to keep him company while Hart's guys are making a mess of the lower ranks. Nick Bockwinkel, Ray Stevens, and a young Bobby Heenan are now apart of The Hart Syndicate, but more like Destroyer's entourage.</p>

For context, WWF went under in 1987 and since then AWA, WCW and UWF became the three leading groups in the US. WCW has Hogan, UWF has Flair and I have Savage. I actually didn't doctor with how that all played out and because of that it quickly became one of my favorite saves ever</p><p> </p><p>

Lawler was part of a pretty dope stable with Curt Hennig, Ted DiBiase and Barry Windham before (kind of my AWA take on the Horsemen) and after they split off, DiBiase and Lawler got their spin off groups. Lawler is the leader of the Memphis Kingdom with Kevin Sullivan as his right hand man, Sherri Martel in supporting role and Buddy Landell and a young Jeff Jarrett as henchmen. 1989 and parts of 1990 were all dedicated to a big feud between the Steiner Brothers and Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody on the other side. Switching the title four times and even main eventing two supercards for me, especially Scott Steiner got so over that it wasn't defendable anymore to not put him in singles. So I reactivated an old team of mine, putting Steiner and Neidhart back together as the Freight Trains. </p><p> </p><p>
