<p>To clarify a few things:</p><p> </p><p>

I sent PM warnings to a few members for their posts here. This is not related to criticizing the game, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.</p><p> </p><p>

That said, spam posting the same issue repeatedly is not going to change anything is coming off antagonistic to various members. </p><p> </p><p>

The thread could very quickly spiral into personal attack for either liking/disliking the game. Keep it respectful to one another, understand the other side does not think like you do, and feel free to not engage with every poster who has a dissenting opinion. </p><p> </p><p>

If members cannot follow forum rules, this thread will be locked and warnings/bans could be incoming. </p><p> </p><p>

(Seriously, I'd rather not to do that...my save is getting interesting and I'd rather spend my night doing that than responding to several reported posts on both sides).</p>

I do not agree with being a jerk towards Adam but I think in order for the game to be the best it can be, the developers need to look at the merit of the actual argument and problems with the game regardless of the tone of the person saying it. So yes, I think all criticism is valuable and should be considered.

Especially since that poster has already posted several other posts with in-depth criticisms...

One of the more frustrating aspects about this is that people are arguing back and forth with rather low effort posts, and then when mods lock the threads to cool things down they're accused of "censoring criticisms about the game."

If everyone in both camps would just stop picking at each other things would be rather pleasant and much easier to read for everybody. I think people's legitimate, well thought out, critiques and praise for the game is interesting, but belaboring the same points in a snippy way is getting tiring.

Chill out. You're endlessly arguing about a text sim about wrestling.

Posts in these stylings are not necessary. Warnings have been handed out where appropriate, let's all move on to the next thing and not retread covered ground.

Life happened, so I didn't get around to buying the game until today. The retail interface has been reorganized...very spiffy, but unfortunately close to Michigan colors. I propose an SEC skin with appropriate color schemes. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Perception might be one of my favorite new features. My only issue is that I wish it was easier to distinguish wrestlers from non wrestlers, because I don't know squat about the Cverse and keep thinking of booking some Major Star in a match only to find out he's the ring announcer.

Which places can you view perception?

Or right-click the "roster" button to see it for your whole company. Unfortunately including non-wrestlers.

Although the contracts page does maintain any current filters from the roster page. So if you want to search by role, disposition, gender, etc in roster then view contracts you can.

I'll note this by stating that I haven't bought the full game yet, and am still running the demo, so this is based on my opinion of that:

I'll echo Teemu's opinion on 2020 from a few pages back, although I will differ with his opinion with regards to the editor, particularly with regards to editing and/or creating workers. IMO, it is not easier to use. There is more clicking, not less. Yeah, putting in attributes is simpler to do, but goodness is putting in skill points more of a slog. There was no reason to remove the sliders, particularly from this screen. It used to be tab, scroll with arrow, tab to next skill section and so on. Now it's tab, arrow over to behind the number, delete, enter new number, tab, repeat or highlight with mouse/trackpad, enter new number, highlight with mouse/trackpad. Either way I'm clicking more, not less, and entering in numbers takes longer. Yeah, the options on the bottom conceivably make things easier, but only in concept. Fine tuning mods would still require a lot more clicking than in the previous games.

Yes we will get more products, but the fully custom products you can make in the game, like how it used to work, isn't going to be able to come back. If you have an idea for a product, or of how to adjust a product there is a sticky thread in the suggestions forum.

Which is still kind of a deal breaker for me (and it seems the same for others). Because it does negatively impact modding. And that's something that folks who argue against the complaint don't seem to "get", because they're always bringing up using it in-game to "cheat". They're ignoring the impact on modding.

IMO, if it was in the older games in the series, it should've remained in this one. And yes, I understand that Adam stated that he can't put it back without rewriting everything but he hasn't stated why that is. Is it a technical issue due to the use of Visual Basic? Most likely not, because, again, the option was there in the older games of the series. Or is it due to the potential impact on game balance? Okay...then don't allow for that within gameplay itself, but implement it as an option for editing the database for modders. Create a UI or something for whatever tools he's using to add in new products (because they're being added somehow).

Hell, charge us separate for it. I'd pay up.

Because the base game, in gameplay, aside from some QoL (mainly UI related) issues is way better than 2016. Some great stuff for historical mods that was missing in 2016 that were in 2013 is now back in, like the revenue and cost split for broadcasting deals (allowing us to mimic the '80s expansion era a lot better). And the new stuff is ace. Gimmicks work better. Block taping shows is a wonderful addition (which, again, would really help historical mods). There's some stuff I'd like to see added into contracts down the line (to better mimic area exclusive deals, or company size exclusive deals for guys exclusive to a promotion in one country but allowed to work international tours, or modern day indie contracts), and I really would like the ability to have a TV show taped at a set venue each week (to better mimic, say, WCW Saturday Night tapings at Center Stage and, later, Disney/MGM Studios), but overall this would be an instantaneous purchase for me...but I like to mod for my own use, particularly historical mods and off the wall fantasy mods. The in-game is way better, the out-of-game (that is, the modding ability/database editing) just isn't.

TBH, I just wanted an updated version of TEW2016.

I didn't want him to reinvent the wheel.

Just add some stuff to it. Don't take away stuff or add new things that would ruin the experience.

I appreciate rebuilding the game. Sounds like a ton of work. Then again, I live in the mindset of "If it's not broke, don't fix it."

As for me. I say stick with 2016. The "new" additions tend to ruin what made TEW fun to play.

People can disagree if they want. That's fine, but for a 7 year fan. I can tell you TEW 2020 is a slog to play. 2016 is in my opinion a masterpiece compared to 2020.

Go re-buy 2016 if you are looking to support Adam & anyone that worked on that game.

I kind of regret buying 2020 myself.

Again, all one mans opinion.

About 3 but you need to keep in mind wcw starts at that time with a roster of 112 so don't exactly need any more workers so I certainly would not say undertuned

I wonder what would happen if you looked a company with less. Did the update only fix companies with a huge roster or is it equivalent to their size as a promotion.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply.

It to do with the roster size settings for each owner....If they had a large preference for roster size for example they would go on a mass hiring spree.

Even small roster size preference was making too many hirings so they have all been toned down a bit

I have to say the game is REALLY starting to become excellent to play, the fixing of the road agents notes screen has made booking a match a thousand percent better (although... you can’t remove road agent notes by double clicking anymore?).

But, is there no new version today? This has been my morning ritual for the best part of a month now... grab my coffee, fire up the iPad, check the patch release notes, get ready for work

I guess this means I don’t have to go to work?
