Kazakhstan is obviously a lot larger too but I didn't think it was necessary to do the whole country since the whole idea behind these maps is to just give people an idea of which "region" each country comes under in terms of TEW, it isn't supposed to be 100% accurate.

Oh yeah, it's just me being a bit pedantic really, I'm working on my venue and location file and expanding Europe to include as many stadia from each country as possible so I can then convert venues into locations and build up a big location resource.

The concept I'm working on is that if the largest stadium in a location is X, I'll round that number up and use that as the largest ammount that area can draw. For example, based on stadiums by capacity on Wikipedia, the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas has a capacity of 92,100, I'd translate that as Dallas, Texas having the potentual to draw a maximum of 95,000. And since in the developer journal locations cap at 100,000, any stadia over 100,000 will cap at 100,000.

So they have any sporting venues there?

Even the Vatican City national team play in Rome.

Hailing from Italy, I went to both Rome and Vatican City quite a few times and let me tell you, Piazza San Pietro would be one hell (heh) of a location for a makeshift wrestling ring. I want garbage matches over there, with broken chalices and flaming crosses. :p San Marino, it'd just be the homeland of the world's quirkiest foreign wrestling heel, whose most heinous crime would probably be tax evasion. :p

I already had a pretty solid venue file, a little over 2100, most of what I was doing was just checking through and updating names, now it's a little over 2800+.mostly expanding to cover all the new regions, it's the smaller venues that are more of an issue to find info on.

Also another small correction, you have Okinawa not covered in the game area, yet it is covered by the Kyushu region.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_regions_of_Japan#Table

The same could also cover Alaska being in the North West since it's the most north western state there is, it's just seperated from mainland America due to Canada.

While I'd personally agree with you in both cases (especially the former, as proven with your link), I'm happier leaving them as they are - which is listed as being possibly different depending on the modification - because I'd hate to misinform people. You could argue I should educate modifications makers but unfortunately, we're not the smartest of people... we just like to pretend we are. xD <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

How is Tennesse southeast and Texas mid-south? The mid-south is Memphis and expands out from there to all western TN, western KY, northern Mississippi and Alabama, most of Arkansas, and southern Missouri. Texas is Texas, you don't need to add anything to it. California is west coast wrestling.

I don't necessarily disagree -- but the geography of TEW has never been entirely perfect. The maps are made off of the locations specified in the game. If you go to book a show in the South East -- that's where you'll find Tennessee. The regions were done, I believe, to speed up processing time, because it's easier for the game to handle the regions as they're grouped.

They aren't all completely accurate to real life but I believe Adam has said numerous times that this is to make mechanics in the game easier. Strangely enough, Europe is probably closest to real life because it's a hot mess in real life as well as in the game, in terms of how different countries fit into specific regions. xD

History brought prowrestling back to the "countries East of the Iron Curtain" late. First Polish promotion IRL started in 2009, Hungarian in 2010, Czech in 2017... yet these countries landed in the same region as way more established Germany etc, possibly being the only reason for "Central European language" to exist ingame.

This map of Europe, if implemented, would be able to reflect the wrestling in the region situation a bit more: <img alt="dMjCcUL" data-src="https://imgur.com/dMjCcUL" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

EDIT: ...heck, that could even give an option to simplify the language system. In place of three languages (Central European, Scandinavian and Eastern European), we could go for only two, named after the language families: Germanic (Scandinavia, Central Europe for DE/CH/AT) and Slavic (Russia, Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, Central Europe if PL/CZ/SK/HU are there).
