mitsukaikira
It seems like this will be the easiest year ever to get this done, but we'll do it anyways. This year I'll make sure I actually push through and finish it. I know the slog won't be there with the broadcasting situation but it is what it is. Product is Lucharesu. I picture it as being very Dragon Gate-esque with PWG inspirations. Lots of units. Lots of random nonsense. Lots of random gimmick matches if the product will let me. Lots of stable warfare. We will be doing a constant schedule. Every show is going to be treated like a massive event essentially and Im going to murder my roster and tire them out. Anyways, before any of that, gotta get the roster ready. aw man. share the logos and banners for AOW, please. I lost mine when I got my new computer. TheBryanStinberg
Anyone have any tips for someone who is attempting this for the first time? Like how to start? Best area to possibly begin? How many wrestlers/staff to hire at start? Go with weekly or once a month show?

In 2016 I would go with weekly shows and a monthly big show. You wanted to shoot up your popularity as quickly as possible so you were making money. I don't know how that will work out in 2020. In 2015 you would start by hiring only a handful of workers - maybe 8 - and using them multiple times on a show to start. In 2020 workers cost much much less to use and the minimum rosters seem to be much larger than they were in 2016 so I'm starting with 16. A lot of this is gonna be play it by ear for awhile till people get the hang of the game. So try out some new stuff.</p>

defizzle
That's my company name too! Great minds think alike. Hah nice, had a logo lying around for ages, and I loved it so finally decided to start a game with it. Basis of using touring is that it reduces your costs and you can get a 40 rated show off the bat which should get you max pop gain up to around 10 pop at which time I’ll switch to normal. I’ve run 5 tour shows in January to get my pop to 5 and I’m “only” 900 in debt.</p><p> </p><p> You don’t need announcers or colour at insignificant and you can use your vets as road agents so you save money there. I only hired wrestlers on $40 or less, based in range so I didn’t have to pay travel (SW, mid-South, NW).</p>
TheBryanStinberg
Who do you guys go with for owner and how many workers do you start with? Vets as well as rookies.
Tom Bombadil
I let the owner happen organically (getting a road agent) and hired pretty much the six cheapest folks I could find in my area, which happened to be all vets except one rookie. Plus a ref. That seems a bit thin for weekly shows and repetitive match penalties, so I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Chisoku
Looking forward to taking this challenge again. I've made up my Indian worker and am challenging myself to book pop over perf for the first time to see if I can do it! Thanks for all the hard work on this ♡
SeanMcG
Tough week for CLASH. Over two days we lost Ernest Youngman, Fro Sure, Frankie Fernandes, Logan Wolfsbane and Tennessee William to TCW & SWF. this was after losing Nelson Callum and Kip Kennan the month prior. Literally gutted all of my Franchise Players and would-be replacements in one swoop. Ruthless business I tell ya

Narcizo
Can you actually gain popularity from tour shows. Because anytime I do tour shows it says no popularity change. You have to rate at least around 29 or so better than your current popularity I believe, which can be tough in any sort of popularity based product. If the wrestling industry is in the toilet then it's probably a lot more. (so it won't work in Japan in the default database as that is set at 17 or something). I've cheesed a bit by having main event focus because I know I have 4-5 workers who can pull off a 40+ rated match in the main event. You don't get any momentum or prestige from them though so it's not all win with touring.

The gamble of spending heavily for the weekly shows with a broadcaster has paid off in spades, as we're clearing 20k a month at Small and able to get our roster over - though that has it's own issues....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Ernest Youngman, Frankie-Boy, Fro Sure, Kip Keenan, Wolfsbane, Mr Lucha III, Nelson Callum, Tennessee William. All poached during a brutal 5 week period in September-October where we needed the start power (and all were either Major Stars or would be successors). TCW the benefactor of most but it's left us in a perilous situation.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The boss? <em><strong>The Wolverine</strong></em>. Still lackluster in the ring and average on the mic, but he's popular... somehow. Excellent chemistry when teaming Gidayu Katou was discovered on the 2nd show, so they've been thrown together since. "Fight Anyone" You never back down, add "Plays Badass Well" and “Dynamo” to your attributes<br /></li><li>23. "The Man of 1004 holds!" You got stretched by a technical master, +5 to your Technical skill<br /></li><li>27. “RTGdow” Everyone is in the industry is talking about your recent performances, add “Flavour of the Month” to your attributes<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Alot of gimmicks and a "Chance to Train" for what feels like the first time ever doing a RTG challenge.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Year 2 looks to be set for a big year as we managed to nab Seven Parker from SWF (who was released for some reason?). 70 pop across the board and still a quality worker? TheBryanStinberg
I’m still trying to mess around a little bit, feeling like I need to do practice runs since this is my first attempt for RtG trying to figure out what’s the easiest product to run where I won’t deal with a lot of deductions from storylines and not having certain match traits like steal the show or what not and also be able to have really good sponsorship. Looks like income will be the hardest to come by, I jumped up to tiny real fast from having weekly shows for free but having to deal with production values and everything else, trying to figure out if I should stay with weekly shows or go with monthly...just a pain so far lol

The income is massive from Broadcasting Revenue and the massively increased exposure = more pop which draws more fans and sells more merch. And this is using an unfriendly sponorship product. Remember you can't go bankrupt during your first year so that's the time for aggresive expansion to claw out of nothing and into a Tiny/Small sized promotion

Run free weekly shows in the first two months then you will be earning enough in sponsorship to make money on monthly shows. lr10540
Decided to go with the new creation engine so as to not have the formulaic 75 points in a few skills. Full Overview of my Character. My skills in game. Should I set my scouting level to maxed for my UC, or leave it as is? And my company. Went with Buddy Garner as my Owner. I wanted a guy who could be a road agent and were potential owners. Garner also fit the bill of the type of guy that would sponsor the product I wanted. Does everything check out? I'm about to head to bed. Wanted to get it set up prior and make sure everything is in shape for me to be added to the Hall of Immortals!
