[ MOD Hype ] C-Verse 2025: After The Pandemic

First off, hello and thank you to anyone that has taken the time to read this post. I have never really been one to mess around with making MOD Like this. In fact, this is the first time I have really even thought about making one. The idea behind this MOD is simple enough to explain… I’m looking at jumping the C-Verse five years in to the future and set up in the way that they are dealing with the fallout of The Cornell (Corona) Virus. I know that I won’t be able to fully simulate the effects of what the pandemic has caused as far as empty arena shows, but as far as the economy and industry I can tweak them to reign in the fans spending and their interest in the world of wrestling.

 

I’m going to through and alter each companies; money and popularity. I haven’t really worked out how to alter companies’ money just yet, but I have a good idea on the popularity. I figure that the best way to determine a companies’ bump to their popularity is to have it be somewhere between ten and fifty points in each region. I came to this decision, because during the pandemic with all the people staying at home it would give higher chances of more people turning in each show.

 

The break down of why I choose 10 – 50 points is…

That’s right I figured since in this MOD that the pandemic is going to last for five years (I really hope that doesn’t really last that long), but I figured that 10 points per year were fair. It isn’t too big that it breaks the balance, but still small enough that (depending on how companies are booked) will burn off some of it to stimulate the watchers that will lose interest after the pandemic ends as I will not to be altering the workers popularity to help with that goal in mind.

 

Creative Twists –

I will be adding at least three new family legacies in to the game. (The Young’s, Singer’s, and Presslers). As well as at least another 100 or so yet to debut workers to help populate the world. Now I’m not wizard with poser so the workers will be using workers that have been deemed free to use, but if someone would like to help in that department I wouldn’t turn the help away.

 

As far as shake ups to the companies’ I really only have one “Stone Cold” or “Shawn Michaels” break out planned, but I’m still brainstorming others. However, I will have to say the one that I have planned at the moment might be coming a little too late in the wrestler’s career, but he’s always been near and dear to my heart. If you have a suggestion to make for a shake up… I will listen to it and as long as it doesn’t mess with the one I already have… then there is a good chance that it will end up in the MOD.

 

Companies – I know that a lot of you have been disappointed that some of your favorites have closed down. I know the feeling, because one of my favorites closed down a couple of games ago… Babes of Sin City. I know it wasn’t the best of the best companies, but it had a little niche in my heart. I may or may not have some plans to revive one or two of them… but that’s for me to know for now.

I like to thank all the logo designers for the logos I will be using in this MOD. (I need to go back and properly get everyone’s name for proper credit) Again, as long as there is no issues with me using them in the MOD. That’s all for now as my work on the MOD is a little stalled at the moment. I downloaded retail version of the game thinking that I could still play the demo of it, but sadly I can’t. So I have to wait for pay day to get the game to resume work. So I figure I will use this time to maybe cultivate some ideas with you the potential players of my mod.

Thank you... it's not really all that ambitious... it is but it isn't. Most of the characters I'm adding are either my E-Fed characters over the past 21 years or E-Fed characters of some of their greatest rivals. So most of the work is already done in that aspect of creating the characters are there... I just have to stat them out.

 

Updated the original post with the five workers I remember that I got finished before downloading the retail version of the game. They are the Matriarchs and Patriarchs of the new legacies. I just did a quick fill add of them, because in the grand scheme of themes they aren't important they are just added (as active / late in career ) filler to establish the second, third, and even forth generations of the families.

Especially because I was thinking of this virus situation as an in game era into the current C-Verse where everything is very difficult for companies with no tv slot or broadcasters whatsoever. In that regard it is different from what you are thinking but like predecessor sort? Exciting.

Kittie "Ms. Kitt" Young | Richard Young [A.K.A. Rich Power ]

 

Mr. and Mrs. Young are the cornerstones of the Young Family. For the most part neither one of them did much in their respective careers inside of the wrestling ring. Kittie is probably most known for the fact that she sued to TCW in to including a Women's division due to the closure of AAA and other Women's promotions struggling even more than normal due to the Corona Pandemic. She would spend a few years with the company and even try her hand again suing the company for equal rights for the new Women's division to compete for the TCW World Heavyweight Championships. She would drop the drop the suit after only a couple of months after learning that she was pregnant with her first child. She would go on to quietly retire from TCW in the wake of her pregnancy. After giving birth to her first born she would open Forever Young Wrestling Academy.

 

Her Husband, while he has the look and some would say that he had the ability to become The USA's answer to Tommy Cornell, but due to issues with his personality and how he conducts himself backstage lead many of workers to wanting avoid working with him. His claim to fame is being the husband of the woman that took on TCW and won the right for Women to compete within the company. Which he then parlayed in to a minor TV acting career.

Michael Pressler Sr. [A.K.A. Michigan Wild Kat ] | Vonnie Pressler

 

Michael and Vonnie Pressler are both former MMA fighters turned Wrestlers. They were both decent in the octagon, but where often out matched in turns of fighting ability. Realizing that the both of them weren't getting any younger and the next generation being even better than the last decided to make the transition to professional wrestling. The pair found a little success on the indies, but nothing really of note. When they learned that they were expecting their first child the both of them retired from competition. Vonnie still surfaces from time to work as Road Agent as she has the technical genius to help younger wrestler look as good as they can.

 

Her Husband, on the other hand spends most of his days at home with their children and running his own hybrid MMA/Wrestling Dojo called "Dead Press Dojo". The Dojo was never really successful due to it's mixed nature. Most recently Michael can be found working with Young family at Forever Young thanks in part to his son's Chris' friendship with Rick Young.

Joshua Singer | Amy Singer

 

Joshua Singer, was for the most part a career military man. He had little time for anything other than the uniform with the exception of his love of professional wrestling. It wasn't until he met 'love' of his life that things changed. A chance encounter of meeting Amy Martin the receptionist at his Dentist's office. The two feel quickly in love, but it wasn't all roses for the couple, because their was nearly a 20 year difference in their age. However, it was through new found youth that Joshua retired from the military and pursued a career as a wrestler. The combination of her beauty and charms mixed with his power and brutality lead to him getting coined as The Detroit Bruiser.

 

There have been reports that the pair were in talks to sign with TCW or SWF for a few years. However, now it is only speculation as Amy has left the business to take care of the couple's only child, Ryan. Joshua Singer, unfortunately has passed away due to a blood that migrated to his brain from an old injury he suffered fighting in the Gulf War.

At the start of the pandemic, Zachary Raine is a mild manner sports agent running his own firm "Raine Drop Entertainment". However, when Corona Virus start shutting down sporting events, movie shoots, and just about everything that his clients were involved with he saw his income steadily decreasing at an alarming rate. That's when he noticed that professional wrestling hadn't been "crippled" by the pandemic like his business has been. So he made the decision to make the jump in to professional wrestling. He was too old and car accidents made it impossible for him to be a competitor smarmy look and snake oil charm he could easily manage someone to greatness. Or hell... he might even open his own company...

 

A little look in to the three new legacies I'm adding in to the game. Don't mind the Children stuff right now. That isn't so much important as it is... me just giving you a peep at the families 'heirs' to their thrones. As my intention to have the three families sort of be the C-Verse's version of the Hart Foundation.

Johnny Young, is the first born child to Rich and Kittie Young. He is also the first of the children to follow in their footsteps. However, despite being a standout linebacker on a Pop Warner team when it comes to wrestling he just didn't the knack for it. The few matches that he was able to work as a competitor were solely, because of who is parents were. After several months of not finding work as a wrestler, he would book his first gig as a referee.</p><p> </p><p>

Turns out he is more than a decent referee and indy promotions in the Great Lake ares were lining up to have him work their shows.</p><p> </p><p>

Craig Pressler, is a second generation wrestler following in the path of not only his parents, but his older brother as well. Having already a good idea about how the business works knows that he needs a plan B. Which is why when he isn't wrestling is training to become a fire fighter. Also just like his older brother, and the two of them have decided to use that as a part of their characters. The two of them team together He is dating someone outside the wrestling business.</p><p> </p><p>

Michael Pressler Jr is a second generation wrestling following in the following in the footsteps of both of his parents (Michael Sr. and Vonnie Pressler). When he isn't working to perfect his skills in the ring he works as a member of Detroit Fire Department. Currently he is in a tag team with his brother, Craig, known as Burning Fury using the fact that both of them are them are fire fighters in their off time. He is currently engaged to his high school sweet heart who works out outside the wrestling business.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Adam Pressler

 

Adam Pressler, the third second generation wrestler out of the Pressler clan. However, among the four children of Vonnie and Michael Pressler Sr. he is the least interested in becoming a professional wrestler. He finishes his training and starts to work the indies for a little while, but after a few months he decides that is something more out there in the world for him and enlists in the military.

Chris Pressler

 

Christopher Pressler, is the baby of the Pressler clan and for the first eight years of his life he was dead set against becoming a professional wrestler. He aspired to be a X Games athlete, but things changed a little bit for him when he met Rick Young. The son of Kittie and Rich Young. He'd never tell his parents this, but Rich Power was his favorite wrestler when he did watch TCW. To get close to his hero he started to work out with the Youngs at The Forever Young Wrestling Academy.

Mykell Young

 

Mykell Young, whose name is legally Michael Young prefers the alternate spelling of his name. Growing up in a wrestling family isn't easy especially if you are the middle child. Mykell had to deal with his older brothers Rick and Johnny using him as a test dummy and then his sisters Amber, Marie, and Kay torturing him wanting to play tea time. Growing up in the manner than he did prepared him for a life time in the ring.

 

The pounds that he took from his brother toughed him up to where there isn't a risky spot that he won't take, because of his high pain threshold, but more than that his sisters taught him humility.

Rick Young

 

Rick Young, is the second child of Kittie and Rich Young, but if it was up to his father he would have Richard Young Jr. Kittie not wanting to curse her son with the name of Junior went behind his back to have his name wrote down as Rick instead. Rick much like like his elder brother, Johnny he was a stand out on his Pop Warner football team, but he was the quarterback. His precise and crisp passes had him labeled as a football tactician. However, his dream was always to become a professional wrestler to follow in the family business, but he wanted to more than anything to become a bigger star than what his father thought he was.

 

As his father told him that he would never amount to anything in the square circle, because he didn't have the killer instincts to make it. He vows not to let what his father says about him get to him and that is why he had his first match at the tender age of 15 and hasn't looked back.

 

And with that I think it's time to get back to some of the ladies I'll be adding to the game.

Laci Smith [AKA Jasmine Mooncross ]

 

Laci Smith, was an inspiring musican once upon a time, but her life course was altered when she met Rick Young. She had been a fan of wrestling most of her life as J-Ro is her all time favorite women's wrestler. Though Suzzane Brazzle and The Human Arsenal are also up there as some of her favorites.

 

She started training at his family's facility and the pair began a relationship with one another... what could go wrong?

Tyra Knox

 

Tyra Knox, at the tender age of 6 started modelling professional, because that's what her mother thought was best for her. By the time she was 12 she had already been around the world more times The Chicago Bulls won the NBA Championship in the 90's. During one of the few small breaks from model gigs to attend high school she ran away from home. While she was on her own she met Mykell Young and the two were soon attached at the hip.

 

There romance would not last too long as she was found by her mother and took him, but she was smitten with the boy that seemingly knew no fear. She would spend the next several years in Europe away from boy that she loves, but there story is far from done.

Angel Cortez

 

Angel Cortez didn't have the best up-bringing that most kids have. Her father was locked up before she was even born and her mother was a junkie that prior to her fifteenth birthday had already nearly OD several times in from of the young girl. So needless to say from the onset she had to look out after herself. She she did handily by lifting wallets from people in the commotion of any kind of big events.

 

Though one event in particular she attempted to boost someone's wallet from their purse for it end up being Kittie Young. In awe of the fact that she had lifted the wallet of a TCW wrestler she forgot to run away when she was caught. Her victim though didn't have the typical reaction... in fact, Kittie would buy her dinner, take her home, and later help her to legally separate from her "mother" and adopted her. Angel would become the first official member of the Forever Young Wrestling academy and one of the first to graduate.

Ryan Singer [AKA Suicidal Joe ]

 

Ryan Singer is the son of the Amy Singer and the late Joshua Singer. Originally he was going to follow his father's footsteps in to the Military, but upon coming upon some of his old matches online felt the pull towards the square circle. He found the closest wrestling school he could find which was the Forever Young Wrestling Academy and never looked back

 

Upon graduating from the school he started to work the indies like his parent's, but to limit the number of gigs he was getting, because of who his parents are he donned a plain black mask to hide his identity and assumed the name of 'Suicidal Joe'.(The mask can be any mask render really... it doesn't stay long)

Brianna Jameson

 

Brianna Jameson, is a former cheerleading captain and a big time Patriots. As well as a big fan of wrestling and her dream is to one day make it to USPW, but right now at the first of her young career she'd be happy signing on any where. She's athletically gifted thanks to her years of gymnastics training, but as much as she'd like to spend her whole career in the ring... she has a feeling that she will spend more of out of it.

I think that's where I'm going to leave new workers for this version of the mod. I still have a whole ton to add in, but I'm to the point where I'm just going to test what I have, and hopefully having a BETA out soon and will just add the rest in later.

<p>Hit a snag in putting this all together... have had to revert to an earlier version (with my workers I'm adding and the C-Verse in separate databases) merging the two led to some issues, because for some reason I thought it was a good idea to import the C-Verse stuff in to the data base with my creations... so working on that at the moment.</p><p> </p><p>

Also I'd would like to remind everyone I'm taking requests as far what people think might have happened up to 2025. I mean if you want to see Tommy Cornell join the ranks of SWF... I could possibly make that happen if the narrative speaks to me. Or if someone wants to see J.K. Stallings Jr return to the business by bringing back... I don't know Babes of Sin City... again I might it happen.</p>

Just about to the point where I'm ready to release a BETA version of this. Just a few more things I wanna add in to as far as workers, but I can say I have hit a milestone no other MOD can claim... I just added a forth generation work that won't debut to 2078!

Down to just needing to finish up 22 wrestlers I want to add, but looking at the promotions and stuff... I have realized that my original of 10 over points per year... might be game breaking. Seeing as USPW alone would end up with 103 overness in some areas... So I'm thinking that for now I might just release the wrestlers as add-ons to the original for now, because between the small interest in this MOD and the fact that I'm getting to the point where I just want to play game... possibly work on on a diary, because frankly writing is my passion not modding. So yeah... that's where things stand at the moment.

Just having new workers and not changing the rest of the world would not make the mod interesting though. You could think about how the rest of the world has changed. Has TCW regained its status, has Rocky gone to Hollywood, did any of the USPW prospects make it and will Frehley vs Champion still be a starting storyline? Has CWA flopped as hard as it seems that they are destined to?</p><p> </p><p>

Years of writing for E-Feds (I've quit due to just not having enough to stay competitive) and Fan Fiction... instant feedback... more so on the efed side kept me going for as young as I did (22 years). Another thing that is hurting me... is that I haven't played the game yet I haven't game yet... I don't really have a full grasp of what has already changed from the last game.</p><p> </p><p> So other than my TCW lawsuit, an idea I have an aging Worker to give him shot at a main title run before he retires, and my response to the failing Women's scene and the loss of AAA. I Think I did over shoot and this project was more ambitious than I thought it was. With that said... I'm going to alter my plans a little bit. I'm going to break mod up in to parts...call it a five year plan. </p><p> </p><p> Later once I finish the workers I'm working on... I will post a few things I have settled on happening in the first year.</p>

I think sometimes it's difficult to get board feedback until there is something for them to play around with (ie, a beta release), heck aside from a handful of invested folks posting here (and a few PMs) I haven't gotten as much feedback as I would have hoped for with my India expansion. I intend to keep plugging away at it because I want to expand the game world for my own use, and I figure a few other folks here might enjoy it as well. Not to mention, it's good practice for any other upcoming projects I might take on. I'm enjoying the story you are painting so far and interested to hear more.</p>

For what it's worth, in TEW2016 I moved the C-Verse on two years for a mod and it took about a year to complete...its a big project lol

Triple A... Sins Again?

 

2017 the world of Women's wrestling was dealt a critical blow the most respected women's company, Triple A shut it doors for good...? That's right if you heard that a question you heard right. It would seem that Triple A Alumni Joanne Rodriguez has anything to say about. On her most recent 'Behind The Curtain' podcast her guest was reclusive former Owner of TCW, J.K. Stalling. They talked about his mistakes when he was running TCW for the most part, but the conversation turned to the state of Women's wrestling. Stalling asked J-Ro if she was glad that she had her podcast right now? What with the state of women's wrestling and the pandemic making it harder for new companies to rise up and fill the void by AAA's closure.

 

J-Ro responded that she is very blessed to have her podcast in this uncertain times, but that her heart aches for all of hers friends and all the new wrestlers that having a hard time supporting their families. J-Ro says that she wishes that there was something that she could do to help them all out. It was at this point that Stalling injected that he an ulterior motive for agreeing to do this podcast. He continues by saying years ago that he was done with with the business, but with the way times are right now and people needing distractions from their daily lives. So with all the money he has he has decided to open up a media group... Stalling Entertainment and has purchased the rights to both AAA and BSC. He is going to fund each company with a million dollars of his own money to try and get them both off the ground again. He says he has already contacted Honey Golightly to be the CEO of BSC once again, but that he was here on the show to ask J-Ro if she would like the honors of being the CEO of AAA. She accepts. What awaits these born again companies?

Lawsuits and a...rebirth?

 

When BriCo bought TCW they never thought they would be in the position of dealing with a pandemic, but more than that they never thought they would have to entertain thought of being sued by a female wrestler either. However, that is just the position they find themselves in at the start of the year. Indy darling Kittie Young, decides to sue TCW for their lack of a women's division when there are so many unemployed women wrestlers out there right now. BriCo and TCW held there ground that they didn't need a women's division and that just because of the Pandemic doesn't mean they have to add one to give women something to do.

 

However, Young was relentless in her pursuit of getting women the chance to compete in TCW. Just days before the announcement on Joanne Rodriguez's podcast that both the BSC and AAA would be returning at some point during the year, Young's legal team offered the TCW and BriCo a settlement offer to make her go away. The exact number isn't known, but from what we understand is that it was so much that it would have bankrupt TCW and severely cripple the toy company for several years. BriCo and TCW caved and withdrew there opposition of having a Women's division with in TCW. No word yet on who is going to make up the division, but they are legally bound to having a division for the foreseeable future.

 

Meanwhile, in the ring some strange times are happening there as well. Malice in Wonderland was successful for the company seeing Aaron Andrews successfully defend his title against Eddie Peak, The Behemoths successfully retain their tag team titles in fatal way match against Devine Fortune, Mighty Meaty, and The Elite, but the story of the night that during the match Chance Fortune turned on his partner. The 40 year old grappler, would then cut a promo after the match saying that he was tired of seeing the like Andrews, Hawkins, Gauge, and others always in the spotlight.

 

He rants about how he has been with the company for fourteen years and he's tired of people laughing at him for his misfortune. He continues on that he is going to embrace that misfortune and use it as his fuel to finally crack the glass ceiling holding him down. Tonight he becomes the Messiah of the Misfortunate and he will be misfortunate no more.

Instructor as well. He actually started to think about doing something completely drastic, because of it. However, two former players Jebediah Black and Leroy Blue came to him with an offer. Both men were looking at making into professional wrestling as a tag team by the name of Black and Blue Varsity Crew and wanted him to be their manager.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> One of my favorite backstories I've come up with... now only if I could decided on a render for him... lol</p>
