Dunton Hall meets with Solomon Gold, Zach Rudge, and Lucy Stone-McFly in his office, announcing a little twist into the proceedings: tonight's episode will be special as Solomon Gold will control his own destiny. Gold will compete in at least two matches, against Lucy Stone-McFly then against Zach Rudge, and should he manage to defeat either one of them, will face them again to determine who will be eliminated from the show tonight. Stone-McFly and Rudge are left speechless, while Gold has a wry smile on his face as the segment comes to an end.

Waylon Walls

CWF: As we wrap up the Weekly Contestant Interviews, joining us at this time, Waylon Walls.

What up. Took you fools long enough.

CWF: You're now part of the final five in this competition, and it's safe to say that you've made your mark in antagonizing the rest of the field.

What
?! Are you tryin'a make me look like the bad guy? Listen, homie, it ain't personal, it's strictly business. I ain't here to make friends-- no one is, and if they say they are, then they're lyin' through their teeth.

CWF: Well, to be fair, going out of your way to insult
and
attack Zach Rudge might be seem as being out of the realm of friendly competition, don't you think?

Man, Rudge is a fool. He's a cocky son of a [bleep] who's had everything handed to him his whole life. Sure, we kicked him around a little, and y'know what? We saw that he ain't got what it takes. Lemme tell you right now, Zach Rudge ain't long for this thing, man. This is gut-check time. Only the strong survive, and Rudge, he ain't one of us. He ain't strong.

CWF: How does it feel being the CWF Champion's right-hand man?

Listen, I grew up in L.A., so I saw how Shaq and Kobe dominated. I saw how Kobe and Pau worked. Kobe's the man, man, and as long as I keep my head down and my nose to the grindstone, my time'll come. Art's cool and all, but he and I know that if I get my moment, I sure as hell won't pass it up.

CWF: So in this scenario, Art Reed is Shaq and you're Kobe?

People always say that Kobe drove Shaq outta L.A., but y'know what I think really happened? I think Kobe saw that Shaq was getting complacent. Shaq was getting fat and lazy. Kobe was hungry, he wanted to be the top guy, and when he saw his opening, he didn't waste it.

CWF: Interesting. Well, you get your first look against the Champion here tonight.

Yeah. I've seen how he operates, and he's good. He's one of the best. He ain't seem me at my full potential, though. Tonight, he gets to find out first-hand what kind of man Waylon Walls
really
is.

CWF: The field is going to be down to four once the night is over, so good luck to you.

Luck is for losers, man. Take a look at this face. Take a good, long look at this face. Do I look like a loser to you?

CWF: Um, no. No, you don't.

Didn't think so. See you in the final.

Really enjoyed the Waylon Walls interview. I know not much feedback, but still I love how you manage to write everyone to sound differently.

That's more than enough feedback, TBH, so thanks :o We're getting dangerously close to the season finale and I'm both excited and worried

Lucy Stone-McFly

CWF: Welcoming our guest on the final edition of the Weekly Contestant Interview, Lucy Stone-McFly.

Great to be here, guys! For a moment there, I thought you'd forgotten about me! (laughs)

CWF: Let's address the elephant in the room, namely, your parents.

Getting right to the point, are we? Well, can't say I didn't expect it. Yes, my parents are the "great" Sean McFly and the "great" Victoria Stone, but to me--? They're just "dad" and "mom." Yes, it was certainly a... challenge, growing up with not one, but TWO world-famous parents-- I'd like to think that they kept me grounded, though. They raised me right.

CWF: And here you are, making a name for yourself.

Of course! I love them dearly, and I know they love me. I
also
know that this is something that I have to do. I have to succeed or fail on my own terms. It's only a matter of time before I try and step out of my parents' shadows, and what better way to do it than with the Canadian Wrestling Federation, right?

CWF: No arguments here. Your grandfather, Dan Stone Sr., was the most recognizable figure on the roster during CWF's initial run--

Oh, I'd love to be the same, to a new generation of viewers. He was a force to be reckoned with, for sure, and I'd like to think I've already learned a lot from him. He, he's a great man, my grandfather.

CWF: Changing course to more recent events-- you'd formed quite a friendship with Zach Rudge.

Zach was sweet. He looked out for me, so it was sad to see him go last week. Solomon Gold earned his spot in the final four, so I have to focus in my match against him tonight, to make sure I stay alive.

CWF: You've beaten Solomon Gold three consecutive weeks now, how difficult will it be to stay on track and avoid from underestimating him?

Here's the thing: people are always the most dangerous when their backs are against the wall, and Solomon, he's all backed up. I've never taken him lightly, and I don't intend to start now.

CWF: Well, one more win and you're in the final three, Lucy. We wish you all the luck in the world.

Thank you. I take things one match at a time, so yes, one more win and then it's on to the next one.

This was his ultimate test, and Waylon Walls comes up short, failing to get into any sort of rhythym and allowing Lucy Stone-McFly to control the tempo of the match. This is for all of you who look up to me for inspiration-- I hope I made you proud!" Her win sets up a main event showdown against early favorite Art Reed, and with Reed still scheduled to have a match against Waylon Walls, the odds seemed to be in the Champion's favor.

He successfully slows the pace down and gets to work on his opponent's leg and ankle, looking to keep her grounded. Lucy Stone-McFly was resilient, clawing her way back and somehow mustering up the strength to score on a huge plancha to the outside. The action goes back-and-forth as neither party lets up, the intensity ramping up as the Champion refused to submit to the Dread Lock. The damage was done, however, and she struggles to lift Reed up for the Delorean Driver. Nice ending to the first season, it's definitely a concept that grows the more history there is, and the more everyone is used to the format. As someone who over the years would go from religiously reading the many shows you posted, to not being on the forums at all, the idea that in theory someone who hasn't checked this out yet, could start reading for season 2 and in a sense be starting fresh is a real strong point.

I also love the idea of a reunion show.

How many people will be returning for Season 2? Will they be in the same teams? If these are questions you can even answer yet!

Dunton Hall makes his entrance, calling CWF Champion Lucy Stone-McFly into the ring. Hall shares that plans for the second season are already underway and that he and Roz Larren had big plans for the Champion and her gold. Lucy Stone-McFly would be the only returning member of the season one roster, and that the second season would be running the full gauntlet: forty-eight weeks! The Champion would only be expected to defend her gold every four weeks, with Hall ending this segment by asking the fans to stay updated via the CWF website.

Art Reed and Waylon Walls work splendidly together, a combination of precise timing and efficient teamwork making sure they come away with the victory, Reed running interference as Walls floors Simony Sentinel with the Dirty Deeds for the three-count.

This was an interesting title bout for the CWF Champion, going head-to-head against her closest friend and confidant, Zach Rudge. Neither competitor went easy on the other, the two wrestlers going all-out in a spectacular match that saw Zach Rudge almost come away with the gold. He counters a hurracanrana attempt into a hard powerbomb-- two-count! ...And Season 1 is officially a wrap. Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to join me on this ride.

Unfortunately this is where I am in real life, too. So Season 2 might be a while, if ever.

Now let's take a look at your comments:

Great 1st season. I called Lucy to be the winner.

Smart move, too! I was tempted to give it to Art Reed and Waylon Walls (that re-render is absolutely awesome) but in the end there was no denying Lucy Stone-McFly.

Did you have Lucy win just to screw with me?:p

LOL I swear I didn't :o I knew you wouldn't be a fan of the inter-gender stuff, but like I said, just think of it like Survivor, with the matches being the challenges and stuff :p

I really appreciate the love, my friend. Thanks for the DOTM nom, too!

As of now, the plan is for Lucy Stone-McFly (as Champion) to join Season 2. Still debating the teams, though. Looking to tweak the format a bit to give the contestants some room to breathe, as well as incorporate some stuff from kanegan's Warrior's Road game. ;)

All this to say... fingers crossed that I start to get the ball rolling now that Season 1's done.
