I've booked ahead by nearly a year though so all that is yet to happen.</p>

BC and ECW, count me in. Even if it means the Oddworld has to fall behind a bit :(

Loved the touch of using some historical quotes from Rise and Fall of ECW, One Night Stand etc.

Thank you man. I'm conflicted where to take Oddworld. There are ends that definitely need tying. It's not done for yet anyway.

And thank you for noticing. Rise and Fall is one of the greatest docs ever made. I don't just mean wrestling docs, any subject matter. It's that good. Although I am biased. I wanted to make the intro feel legit and then anything that comes after might have a shred of authenticity. We shall see.

This looks great, I expect some awesome storylines will be starting soon and I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks dude, appreciate it.

The Sandman all the way! Loving the styles report!

Haaa, I know you're a big Sandman fan. I am too. Glad you like The Styles Report as well. It's useful to just try and get a few points over that might not be in the match write ups. Thanks for coming back.

The roster deficiency is showing with the repeated bouts already but thats not a million miles away from what ECW was like near the end.

What will be interesting to see is how you can incorporate non ECW talent in the future in a way that would please an ECW crowd post 2000 (also, I wonder if you will get a spill over of former WCW fans looking for a product but who presumably would be in despair at the booking of the Invasion angle).

Balls Mahoney teamed with Chilly Willy in their last PPV I seem to remember. Is he in the mod.

Why the hell Paul E didn't think to name the team Chilly Balls is beyond me. The stress really must've been getting to him. Or Willy & Balls for that matter.

Looking forward to more bare bones ECW goodness, possibly featuring an inevitable Paul E nervous breakdown.

Good show, could totally see it happening IRL. It's interesting seeing how you handle the (lack of) talent in ECW post 2000 :p

Thanks man. That's what I'm going for. I will have to bring in more names but the plan is to stick with known ECW guys as much as possible.

Yeah, parts of it are getting a little congested. But like you say, it is what we were seeing back then. *whispers* There'll be a announcement soon for a relatively exciting signing.

Everyone was in despair over Invasion. Just utterly brutal.

Awesome show! Haha poor Dreamer!

Thanks man. Yeah, it's not going the best for Tommy so far.

Yeah Balls and Chilly were a team. I think they were just booking whoever was still available to them at that point. He is in the game. He may turn up at some point.

E-C-W, E-C-W!

When in doubt, give the title to Sandman :p Will follow this

Thanks man. Yeah, you're not wrong. Sandman's a safe bet, what with all the drinking and... oh no...

Ladies and gentlemen, this is The Styles Report with me Joey Styles and we begin with some breaking news: James ‘Little Guido’ Maritato has been offered and accepted an exclusive contract with All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Paul Heyman and everyone at Extreme Championship Wrestling would like to convey their sincere thanks to James for everything he has done during his time here. While every attempt was made to convince him to remain with ECW, Maritato has cited career ambitions and increased financial security for his family as reasons for accepting the contract. It has been made clear that James will always have a home here and we hope we have not seen the last of him in an ECW ring.

Little Guido will be part of the main event in our upcoming show ECW 3 Way Dance on August 4. Guido will wrestle against Super Crazy and an as yet unsigned opponent. Stay tuned for more news on that story as we have it.

Tommy Dreamer is an unhappy man following his pinfall loss in the six man tag at Heatwave. He has stated he will be at 3 Way Dance and looking for a fight. No match has been sanctioned for Tommy at this time.

The Sandman has accepted a challenge from ‘Prime Time’ Brian Lee to defend his ECW World Heavyweight championship. Sandman originally won the belt back in May at Hardcore Heaven. This will be the first time the two have faced each other in singles competition since Lee’s original run with the company.

And there will be an additional three way bout between Doring and Roadkill, Simon and Swinger and York and Matthews for the ECW World Tag Team titles. Danny Doring has been quoted as saying that the team “welcome all challengers and look forward to cementing our legacy in ECW with a long title reign.” His partner Roadkill appeared to confirm this by saying, “Chickens.”

ECW 3 Way Dance, August 4 2001 at the TD Bank Sports Center, Connecticut. For ticket information, call the ECW ticket-line or head to extremechampionshipwrestling.com.

Taka is a great sign. ECW alumni but at the same time not at all who I would have expected and offers something different to the roster.

I was very happy when he became available. Especially as I'd just had news Guido was leaving for All Japan. He's only on a short deal as a freelancer but there's some great matches coming up. Watch this space.

Oh yeah!

Oh yeah indeed!

You know, back in the day I was in no way aware of ECW's links to Japan, from the deathmatch style and partnerships with FMW to guys coming in from Japan to wrestle for them. Taka is a great addition and I do hope you tap into that same vein.

I was late to ECW and my knowledge still has holes in it. I didn't actually realise TAKA had been in ECW. I know of FMW and deathmatches but I'm short on the really liberal guys who would work that kind of bout. It is something I want to do if/when the opportunity arises.

I've really been enjoying this dynasty so far. Love the presentation.

Thank you man. Very good of you to say.

• Francine is the opening backstage promo and begins by announcing herself as the ‘Queen of Extreme.’ She doesn’t get to say much, however, as TAKA Michinoku wanders into shot smirking. Staring directly into the camera he speaks quickly in Japanese and smiles sinisterly before leaving.

Joey Styles: “TAKA with some words for our Japanese-speaking fans. He looks confident.”

Francine doesn't know what to make of what just happened. <font color="#9912A2">D+</font>

• Steve Corino is out and looking very pleased with himself. The ‘King of Old School’ reminds the fans in attendance that he pinned Tommy Dreamer at Heatwave and claims that he alone was responsible for his team’s victory. This brings out the ‘Innovator of Violence’ Tommy Dreamer.

Tommy Dreamer: “Corino, you talk too much. Let’s do this.” <font color="#9912A2">D+</font>

The camera stays on and we see Sandman return to fetch his Singapore cane and stuff three more beers into his zubaz pants. <font color="#9912A2">C-</font>

• Tommy Dreamer is still in the ring.

Joey Styles: “Where did Tommy come from? He must have ran in through the crowd, Lee never saw him coming… but wait! It’s Simon Diamond and Swinger… Problem Solver! Dreamer is laid out and they’re putting the boots to the ‘Innovator of Violence!’ <font color="#9912A2">E</font>
