Big Japan Pro-Wrestling

Big Japan Pro-Wrestling is a promotion established on December 21, 1994 by Shinya Kojika, who was a former All Japan Pro Wrestling and WAR wrestler. He was joined soon after by Kendo Nagasaki, Hirokazu Taniguchi, and Ryuji Yamakawa and the promotion would be a mix of standard wrestling and the growing form of hardcore styles. Following the steps set by Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling, they would become known as the place to go to see some of the bloodiest matches ever seen.

Hi! Some of you may remember some of my past work as I've been posting real-world diaries here on and off for over a decade. My last two were a very fun PWG save and a lengthy but intriguing NJPW one. Either way, I've come a very long way from my first game in 2006.

I just recently got all set up in TEW 2020 and am having a very good time as BJW, one of my new favorite promotions. It's a good mix of fun game mechanics and interesting booking, but it's not nearly as intensive as playing as some of the larger promotions. Not many folks know a ton about BJW, so this will be a good place to learn and read along as I am picking up the book starting August 1st, 2020.

Credit to joemurphy for various graphics used throughout this game. Credit to QuestLove for the amazing work they've done on Real World Chronicles, which is what I am using here.

Roster is done! Took longer than I thought. Lucky it ended up in three packs of 15, although T-Hawk might be a heavyweight moving forward.

EDIT - yes, T-Hawk is not a junior so changed it up. My perfect balance could unfortunately not last.

Cool, now we can really get started. I have two more small shows to post before we get to Korakuen. A lot of big BJW matches for August have been announced IRL so I am keeping all of those intact, including this Tag Title match and the Ito vs. Fujita bout at the end of the month. Excited to get a prediction card out there, and you'll all have two more shows to get your picks in. Thanks for reading along and thanks for all the compliments.

Loving all of these! The visuals, the shows, the stories!

I have a current crush on BJW's Strong and Strong J divisions they probably have the most balanced Heavyweight and Jr. Heavyweight division in the Japaneses indies, and maybe even in the whole country.

0. Brahman Kei & Brahman Shu vs. Ryuichi Kawakami & Kazumi Kikuta

1. Yuji Okabayashi, Akira Hyodo & Takuho Kato vs. Shigehiro Irie, T-Hawk & El Lindaman

2. Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani vs. Ryota Hama & Yasufumi Nakanoue

- Not a big fan of Daichi but he isn't losing much till either Takuya or someone from Strong BJ will beat him.

3. Barbed Wire Board Deathmatch: Jaki Numazawa & Takumi Tsukamoto vs. Toshiyuki Sakuda & Yuki Ishikawa

4. BJW Jr. Heavyweight Title Next Challenger Tournament - Semi-Final: Koju Takeda vs. Tatsuhiko Yoshino

5. BJW Jr. Heavyweight Title Next Challenger Tournament - Semi-Final: Kazuki Hashimoto vs. Shinobu

6. Fluorescent Lighttubes Death Match: Ryuji Ito, Yuko Miyamoto & Isami Kodaka vs. Minoru Fujita, Abdullah Kobayashi & Masashi Takeda

7. BJW Tag Team Title: Daisuke Sekimoto & Kohei Sato © vs. Takuya Nomura & Fuminori Abe - Considering that Daisuke might be your number 1 draw, I could see him losing here and then beating Daichi.
