Dragongate Japan Pro-Wrestling

Dragongate is a Japanese professional wrestling promotion formerly known as Toryumon Japan. It stayed behind after Último Dragón left Toryumon and took the name and rights with him in 2004 Most of Dragon Gate's wrestlers were graduates from Último Dragón's Toryumon Gym, and thus the promotion is based on a Junior Heavyweight style with varying emphasis on high flying maneuvers, flashy technical grappling, and submissions. Toru Kido serves as the President of Dragon Gate Entertainment a parent company formed to take over all domestic operations. In 2019, Dragon Gate celebrated its 20th anniversary, culminating with Último Dragón making his return to the promotion and becoming a senior advisor for the promotion.

Since its creation, Dragongate is one of a few promotions to be broadcasted by GAORA. Dragongate is arguably the second largest wrestling promotion in Japan, in terms of attendance and revenue. Dragon Gate has also engaged in working agreements with other promotions around Japan, including DDT Pro-Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and New Japan Pro Wrestling, and also around the world, including AAA and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Dragongate's biggest event is the Kobe Pro-Wrestling Festival, which celebrates the anniversary of Dragongate.

Since the beginning of 2020, the roster members of Dragongate have found themselves in a "Generation War" between the Toryumon Generation (all wrestlers trained by Ultimo Dragon in the Toryumon system), the Dragon Gate Generation (wrestlers trained after the creation of the Dragongate promotion), and the dastardly R・E・D unit (a group of bastards led by Eita who are in it for themselves). There are a few unaffiliated members of the roster who can pick and choose who to team with, but they are considered independent from the stables. Who will walk away victorious in the Generation War? Will the old dogs prevail? Will the current generation prove their worth? Will the bastards beat them all? Or is there another generation impacted by this war?

As the fans clapped along with the entrance music, the six competitors in the upcoming big 6-Way Survival Cage match came down to the ring to join President Kido in the official contract signing for the main event of Dangerous Gate 2020. <font color="00a6eb">Toryumon Generation</font>'s <b>Masato Yoshino</b> was out first, followed by <font color="d7d08c">Dragon Gate Generation</font>'s <b>YAMATO</b> and <b>KAI</b>. The three <font color="d70c1f">R・E・D</font> members all came out together, with the new Open The Dream Gate Champion <b>Eita</b> leading the pack of <b>Big R Shimizu</b> and <b>BxB Hulk</b>.

 

Before signing the contract, the rules and the apuestas of the match was announced. Five flags will be on around the top of the cage and a wrestler must grab a flag to escape the cage. The order of entry, determined later tonight, will determine when a wrestler can enter the cage. The earlier you enter, the better your chances are at grabbing a flag to escape. The wrestler who does not grab a flag will lose their bet and will be punished by it. One of the flags will have a contract for a future Open The Dream Gate Championship match hidden inside - this will be void if Eita grabs that flag.</div>

 

<b>The announced bets are:

- As 2020 is his final year, Masato Yoshino will retire immediately if he loses the match.

- YAMATO believes that if he loses the match, he has lost a step in the ring and thus will go on a learning excursion to better himself.

- KAI will leave the Dragon Gate Generation stable should he lose.

- Big R Shimizu, after some antagonizing from YAMATO, will shave his head and go bald for a year if he doesn't escape.

- BxB Hulk will never challenge for a championship belt in Dragongate ever again.

- Eita will relinquish his spot in R・E・D if he loses.</b>
