Description: After the tragic passing of one of Hawaii's most beloved singers, Seth Rockwell, in 2000, the Hawaiian government started construction for a building in his honor. The building was finished in late 2002 and was ready to be used by March of the next year. Since then famous musicians from all walks of life have come here to pay their respects to a legend.

 

Venue Name: Keli'i High School Gymnasium

Description: A popular high school in the state, known for its great achievements in athletics, Keli'i High School has incredible state-of-the-art facilities that make it look like a prestigious university at times.

The 1.0 version of the database has been posted on the main page, so glad to get it out feels so great to have gotten to this point. Thanks to everyone who's helped us get to this point I'm very grateful. Big props to JayDaKing for having the newest additions at 69. With Jaysin & Kg in second and third with 30+ additions each. It's given me a lot of joy to see y'all come together to get this project done, gives me more hope that people can come united in a time when it feels very divided. With that, I can't wait to see what y'all think of all the additions and hope to get a lot of new additions to all the regions that still need attention.

Venue Name: Ryogoku Sports Center

Open Date: 1962

Location: Kanto, Japan

Venue Size: 3,875

Description: Located in the heart of Tokyo's Ryogoku district, millions of Yen were poured into the venue to rebuild it after the tsunami that ravaged the island nation. Regularly used for concerts, basketball and volleyball, it can, like the smaller, 'sister' #2 building, be used for pro wrestling shows.

 

Venue Name: Ryogoku Sports Center #2

Open Date: 1962

Location: Kanto, Japan

Venue Size: 725

Description: The smaller of the two Ryogoku Sports Center gyms, the #2 hall is a regular stop for a number of Japan's pro wrestling companies' shows, alongside it's normally intended use: a public-use gymnasium.

 

Venue Name: Tokyo Ariake Hall

Open Date: 2019

Location: Kanto, Japan

Venue Size: 285

Description: Recently opened by a Sendai-area promoter who ran 'sold-shows' for several different promotions, Ariake Hall is a smaller venue dedicated to pro wrestling, though it can also be used for smaller concerts.

Side note, and it's bugging me: I noticed a few Yokohama buildings have been listed here, but they're listed with their location as Chubu, when Yokohama is in Kanto (as it's part of the Greater Tokyo Area). Not sure if that was caught when those venues were being added to the database.

Didn't see much love for the Mexico region, so might as well add some of my broken high school Spanish knowledge to a venue.

 

Venue Name: Salón de los héroes

Open Date: 1930

Location:Centro, Mexico

Venue Size: 5,000

Description: Founded roughly 10 years after the end of the Mexican Revolution, Salón de los héroes is one of the oldest venues in Mexico. Named for those who bravely sacrificed their lives, it has only recently been used for wrestling shows after much debate with politicians.

Description: The Cúpula Dorada (Golden Dome) is a legendary stadium in the heart of Mexico City. From football to wrestling, it seems like almost all of Mexico's sports history happens here.

Description: A block down the road from the Cúpula Dorada is the Salón Dorado (Golden Hall). Used by smaller promotions to ride off of the name of the Golden Dome.

 

Venue Name: La Guarida del León

Description: Connected to Casa de Culto del León church, La Guarida del León is a small building where faith meets facelocks. It's another way to get money into the church and that is to put on family-friendly wrestling shows. An interesting note is that any wrestler who plays a demonic character always ends up on the losing end in this building.

 

Venue Name: Centro de Rehabilitación de Celaya

Description: A rehab center in Celaya opens it's doors to wrestling promotions after a former wrestler who visited the building donated a large sum of money to it. The cafeteria is where the shows take place.

 

Venue Name: Jardín de Daniel

Description: The Garden of Daniel is located behind the house of millionaire philanthropist Daniel Chavas in Irapuato. It's an extravagant maze where in the middle of it holds a ring where the ropes are interchangeable as he also welcomes boxing events as well as wrestling shows.

Description: Mainly used for arts many would consider high-class such as ballet, orchestras, and interpretive dance; sometimes a wrestling show is able to get in and show a bit of violence to the uppity patrons.

 

Venue Name: Columbia Icefield Arena

Description: A smaller ice hockey field used for minor league games, the Columbia Icefield has been hosting wrestling as well since it's opening in 2003 to supplement for when hockey isn't resulting in high attendance through the year.

Description: A building with a long, rich history; the Sphere Arena has been hosting wrestling and boxing since it's construction in 1959. Its first event was actually a wrestling show. Venue Name: Triumph Ring

Location: Ontario, Canada

Description: Some of the biggest and baddest make their names here. Triumph Ring is renowned for their annual rodeo competition. They aren't the biggest rodeo in Canada, but they attract a certain diehard fan because of their more lenient rules. Lucky enough to have no rodeo related deaths yet, we'll see how long that lasts.

Venue Name: MW Arena

Open Date: April 1979

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Venue Size: 6287

Description: It is said that an Indian casino once build on the same place as the arena today, so it is also said to be haunted and the arena is cursed.

In fact, there was a rock concert in the arena at the end of the last century, where the rock band and band crew disappeared completely and has never seen until today.

Description: The only arena in usa, with double size seats, as many overweight people live in the area. The floor is specially reinforced and stairs have been removed and replaced by modern lifts to avoid heart attacks by cardio.

Description: Located within the Regina Palace, the Rolland Ballroom is the bigger of the two ballrooms located in the building. Hosting many historic events in pro wrestling history, it was the site of a 4C crowning Barry Kingman as their first-ever champion in 2004, R.K. Hayes's first and only NOTBPW Canadian win in 1998, and a historic title defense from Jack DeColt against Alex DeColt in late 1999.

Description: Quite the large horseracing track Edwards' Pathway is, never less the indoor track was another stomping ground for NOTBPW as it's located in their home area.

Description: Used incredibly sparingly, the Superdome is frequented by only the most important names in musical history but if a wrestling promotion can make its way into those halls, it'll be a magical moment in Canadian wrestling history.

 

Venue Name: The Brandt Center

Open Date: Dec 2006

Location: The Maritimes

Venue Size: 19,540

Description: Named in honor of Nova Scotia's favorite hockey player, James Brandt, the Brandt Center is an ice hockey venue used mainly by the local team but it has been used by NOTBPW in the 2000s as they grew bigger in popularity.

 

Venue Name: Quebec Park

Open Date: March 1987

Location: Quebec

Venue Size: 45,686

Description: The former home to the Canadian Winter Sports Classic, Quebec Park is haunted by structural and financial issue the past two decades which has seen it be used less and less. There were rumors of it being torn down before it was labeled a historical cite by the Quebec Nation Convention of History.

Description: Soon to be the biggest venue in Wales, the Astrofair Stadium was never wanted by the Cardiff population but it was insisted on being built by the UK Parliament.

 

Venue Name: The Nightwalker

Description: A night club owned by suave entrepreneurs in the Welsh garbage collecting industry, The Nightwalker attracts it's fair share of...diverse patrons.
