ECWfan
I wanted to start with Impact, I like Impact and they have the best Female division in wrestling right now (other than Io and Shida but that's for another place) anyway. I set it all up and go to TV Impact and no matter what I try the ratings always suck, like 30s, 20s, luck to see a 40 rating. Eventually I changed Xplosion my B show to a Female only show run by Gail Kim but it didn't work out so I stopped and went to MLW (As they don't run a Female division). But my problem now is I'd like to run a small Female division at MLW but I'm worried it will just kill the shows again? Any tips?
Vinsmoker
Tanking ratings is necessary to build divisions up in the long run. I just hired Meiko Satomura in my 04 save and she has 0 pop in the US. I'm currently getting red and yellow ratings in all her segments and workers complaining about losing to her. It's a necessary defeat to get a better division in the long run. Generally speaking you need to take a look at where the strengthes of every worker are and then put them in segments with more popular people and have them look good. Ben Nook
If you are building a division from ground level where none of your women have close to the popularity of your company, you may want to put the ones with the highest star quality in mixed tag matches on PPVs. It will drag their popularity up being in highly graded segments
Woodsmeister
If you speak to certain wrestlers they will put lower pop people over if you ask them to.
DirigoJoe
Book female matches like male matches. One of the hardest to learn things for me is that you need to have bad ratings to build up popularity and establish a new worker, a new division, etc.
Matt_Black
Set the females to be the managers of some of your top male workers. Their pop will go up really quick.

The solution is to make them more popular, with angles and strong booking and patience. Bad segments aren't a bad thing. Not every segment on a show needs to be good. Most of the time I just make sure I have a good main event, and the rest can be garbage designed to get future main event talent over. Put your women in the midcard. Consistently. Let them have 'bad' sgements. Over time, the women you book strongly will get over. Bad segments become passable. Passable segments become good parts of the show. B shows don't matter anyway, so I don't see what the problem would be if all matches were in the 20-40 range.
WCGreyghost
Just like any other workers, keep them out of the main events until they're ready and able to deliver the quality you want. I just started the most excellent Territory Daze mod, and my company has 6 women on the roster, evenly split between face/heel. So on TV I'll do something with them in preliminaries...maybe a tag match, maybe a singles with one or two other ladies at ringside, whatever...anything to get them on TV and build some popularity. They aren't going to work after intermission any time in the next few months, but they'll get to midcard, maybe even upper-midcard for a couple of them eventually. I have this at the moment as now im with MLW they expect no female matches but that is something I want to change eventually.

Well the bad segments are an issue when I have broadcast demands that are almost unobtainable to begin with
Derek B
If it says that your fans expect no women's matches, that means your product is set for women's wrestling to be at none. You need to change that to any option other than Entire Promotion.

They only care about your final show rating. And the final show rating is calculated (depending on product setting) on your best 1-3 matches. Match 4 & 5 can be anything. Pure garbage. Check your product setting for what you can get away with.</p>
Kijar
Bad segments are fine to follow great ones, there's an eb and flow to every card. Just give them a shot and eventually they won't disappoint anymore.
