GCW - The Flag-bearer of Independent Alliance [RW 2021 onwards]

2020 was a year which stopped everything worldwide. Just like other arts, pro wrestling suffered much due to the global pandemic with no shows being held and mass scale roster cuts were ordered by most of the big companies.

Amidst these uncertain times, a few promotions took it upon themselves to bring the smiles back. Primarily GCW who organised The Collective, 12 shows promoted by 8 promotions packed over 3 days which showcased the diversity and the power of indie wrestling.

GCW hosted 5 events out of the twelve and the result was the celebration of the indie wrestling. Joining hands with Fite TV and IWTV, these shows reached a whole new audience and everyone was engrossed.

2020 was a milestone year for IWTV Alliance as well. Not only GCW came on board but IWTV Alliance added 3 more promotions across 2 more countries to become the hottest independent wrestling alliance across the globe. With the world now looking towards a better future in 2021, IWTV is looking to provide better entertainment to a bigger audience and with GCW front and center of the alliance as the flag-bearer, 2021 can’t come soon enough.

Apart from a landscape changing event in The Collective which they hosted, there were also some significant other changes which were introduced in the company, the majority of which came in BloodSport where two new championships were introduced, the King of Fighters and Queen of Fighters. So, the champions have been updated in the posts. The roster is remaining. After watching GCW shows in the last couple of months, I have been a big fan of them so this is a bit of fantasy booking as I have extended the IWTV alliance to include members like BJW and FREEDOMS from Japan and DTU from Mexico.

Also, some new championships have been introduced. I am excited to present my vision of GCW. Hope you all will be there for the ride.

ECIII has made a splash ever since he made his debut for GCW in the season finale. His declaration that he would rid the world of all the deathmatch workers hasn’t sit well with many people and Alex Colon has stepped forward to fight.

Alex Zayne won the 1st scramble match of 2021 as he pinned Gringo Loco and then Benjamin Carter with his Corkscrew Senton Bomb while Orin Veidt got the only other pinfall of the match with a Wiccan Impaler (Penalty Kick) on Ellis Taylor.

GCW Tag Team Championship Fans Bring the Weapons

It was a wild weapons brawl between the two teams with a plethora of innovative weapons being used, the most common being the signs and placards. KTB almost won this for his team with a sit-out powerbomb over Gray but Hatfield saved the day before he turned this around with a Grand Slam (top rope powerslam) on Shane Mercer.

Anarchy Rulz defeated IronBeast in a Deathmatch when Dasher Hatfield pinned Shane Mercer with a Grand Slam. (Defense #3 GCW Tag Team Championship). [29]

It was a spot fest with both the competitors wowing the crow but in the end it was Lio Rush who won this with a Dragon's Call.

Colon tried fighting hard but he was no match for Carter as he overpowered him after a while and dominated the match.

GCW World Championship Last Man Standing Match

It was the biggest challenge of RSP's reign as ACH was undefeated so far leading up to this match. The champ tried slowing the proceedings down after he was getting hammered in the opening exchanges and even his stable mate Cogar and Iron tried helping him by interfering but ACH was pretty focussed and he ducked a superkick from Iron before turning around and picking up a chair which had been used on him previously and bashed the skull of Iron, Cogar and then RSP before adding some more chair shots. Ready or Not Here I Come followed and we had our new champion.

ACH defeated Rickey Shane Page in a Last Man Standing match when Rickey Shane Page could not beat a ten count after a Ready Or Not Here I Come. ACH wins the GCW World title. [49]

It was a bloody brawl with ACH finding hard to keep up with the psychopath and they both got busted but nobody got covered in blood so the match went on. In the end, ACH facebusters SHLAK from the top rope onto a bed of nails which finally cut SHLAK hard to cover his entire face in blood and win the match.

ACH defeated SHLAK in a Crimson Mask match when SHLAK was covered in blood. Makes defense #1 of the GCW World title. [34]

Carter and Janela was involved in a pretty hot match which was full of storytelling but the star of GCW fell to Carter finally and ECIII continues his unbeaten streak.

These two put on a completely old school match with both trying numerous times to grab the glove that was hanging on the pole and finally it was Warhorse who got it and then used it twice on ACH but the GCW World Champion still kicked out sending Warhorse into shock. After regaining his senses, he tried to go for yet another glove shot but ate a missile dropkick from ACH who got the glove for his own and went on a hitting spree punching Warhorse 10 times, even drawing blood from him. A Dragon Fly followed and ACH has just become the new IWTV Independent Champion.

Finally Carelli's steam ran out after reigning for 4 months as "Legit" Leyla Hirsch makes her tap to her armbar.

Leyla Hirsch wins the GCW Queen of Fighters title. [35]

After the match, Rickey Shane Page comes down applauding the efforts of Hirsch and then offers her a spot in the 44.OH! but Hirsch smiles and walks away leaving RSP dumbfounded.

Once again, MoFos and 44.OH! gets into each other's faces but after a while, all six men are blindsided with the camera revealing Kobayashi-gun. The trio of Kobayashi, Parker and Shinobu then proceeds to spit on all the six members before walking away.

Kobayashi and his unit took full advantage of the hatred between the two GCW teams as everyone of them was subjected to a cheese grater from Kobayashi.
