AEW REVOLUTION

SATURDAY WEEK 4, FEBRUARY 2022

AEW REVOLUTION 2022: BUY IN

1. NWA WORLD WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: Thunder Rosa © def. Hikaru Shida

1. TNT CHAMPIONSHIP: Eddie Kingston © def. Lance Archer - Revolution 2022 started off hot with a hoss fight. Kingston and Archer went to war, with the Mad King doing everything he could to take down the big man. Archer almost had Kingston beat with a Blackout, but Kingston slid out and hit THREE Urakens to get the win.

2. IWGP UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: Jon Moxley © def. Wardlow - Jon Moxley successfully defended his IWGP US title against MJF's bodyguard, Wardlow. Wardlow almost had the match won after two powerbombs, but Moxley reversed an attempted third powerbomb into a bulldog choke, forcing Wardlow to pass out.

eEUXes3.jpg VS. sz8r3vE.jpg

3. Miro def. Chris Jericho - Jericho has been redeemed! The Redeemer dismantled Jericho, and dominated the majority of the match outside of a few hope spots. This was a clear victory, and one of the first times in AEW that Jericho has submitted.

4. AEW WORLD TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP: Death Triangle © def. Los Ingobernables - PAC and the Lucha Brothers were able to fend off Andrade's new faction to retain the AEW World Trios titles. Andrade hit a beautiful moonsault on Fenix that would have gotten the three count if PAC hadn't hit a Red Arrow onto both Andrade and his partner to break it up. The finish came when Penta El Zero Miedo hit a Package Piledriver on Dragon Lee for the three count.

5. AEW WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: Britt Baker © def. Mercedes Martinez - Britt Baker's reign continues. She has been champion since Double or Nothing in May 2021, and Martinez has now just been a check in the defense column. Martinez was on fire upon her debut in AEW a few months ago, but Baker was able to stifle her momentum to retain the title here.

mHrvTmZ.jpg VS. 9TWpa7P.jpg

6. Ricky Starks def. Christian Cage - The Stroke Daddy has come up victorious! "Absolute" Ricky Starks' rise to the top of AEW continued here at Revolution. Team Taz and Jurassic Express, Rami Sebei, and Christian Cage have been having problems for a long, long time, and Starks has given his side another win. Despite plenty of commotion on the outside between each man's groups, Starks picked up the win clean as a whistle.

Team Taz began a huge beatdown on Christian Cage, Rami Sebei and Jurassic Express, dismantling them limb by limb, until…

BRIAN CAGE!

Brian Cage came to the rescue of the good guys! Cage was able to tilt the odds in their favor, and sent the heels packing.

7. Adam Cole def. Cody Rhodes - Adam Cole Bay Bay! This was a classic clash of styles, with Cody playing the old school hero role, and Cole playing the weaselly heel. On a more meta level, Cody represented a more grounded style reminiscent of his AEW and ROH matches, while Cole had the NXT main event style. Cole was able to get the victory with a Boom to the FRONT of Cody's head, rather than the back as per the usual method.

8. AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: CM Punk & Bryan Danielson def. FTR © - Title change! Punk and Danielson have won their first gold in All Elite Wrestling! This was a purist's dream, with every recent generation and style of wrestling having representation. Punk and Danielson showed a fire that had yet to be seen since they each came to AEW. Punk even pulled out a Pepsi Plunge on Cash Wheeler, taking them both out of the match due to the brutality of the move. Danielson would then make Dax Harwood quit with a Cattle Mutilation to win the belts for his team.

The finish saw the biggest pop of the night, and Punk and Danielson made sure to revel in it. They embraced and played to the crowd for several minutes.

9. The Golden Lovers def. The Young Bucks - In perhaps the most personal feud of the night, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi picked up the victory over their longtime friends-turned-rivals. The Bucks hit Kenny with a BTE Trigger, just like they did two years ago at Revolution against Kenny and Hangman. And just like then, Kenny kicked out at one. Shortly after, he and Ibushi hit a REAL Golden Trigger on Matt Jackson for the pinfall victory.

The Golden Lovers were celebrating in the ring when the lights went out…

GUERRILLAS OF DESTINY!

Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa of NJPW's Bullet Club, the same group that Kenny Omega once headed, were standing in the ring across from Kenny and Ibushi. Before they could react, the lights went out again…

JAY WHITE!

Switchblade! The leader of the Bullet Club! The crowd was going wild. He was standing in front of the Guerrillas of Destiny with a smirk on his face. Kenny looked like he had seen a ghost, while Ibushi was prepping for a fight. Suddenly, the lights went out again…

AJ Styles!

AJ Styles is All Elite and he is wearing a Bullet Club shirt! The crowd was now at a fever pitch as AJ Styles, Jay White, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa were standing across the ring from the Golden Lovers. They ran straight at Bullet Club but were instantly overpowered and taken to the ground. After G.O.D. beat them down for a few moments, Styles and White lifted up Kenny and Ibushi respectively. At the same time, Styles hit Kenny with a Styles Clash as White laid out Ibushi with a Blade Runner!

The Bullet Club stood tall over the fallen Golden Lovers. The Young Bucks, having staggered their way back up the ramp, looked into the ring with stunned silence across their face. Adam Cole came back out and joined his Superkliq mates as the three of them made eye contact with the Bullet Club in the ring. All of them had small smirks on their faces…

10. AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: MJF def. Hangman Adam Page © - NEW WORLD CHAMPION! Maxwell Jacob Friedman has defeated Hangman Adam Page! Without any of his Pinnacle factionmates by his side, the odds were against MJF as his usual tactics wouldn't be able to be deployed. However, he snuck the Dynamite Diamond Ring into his trunks, and took it out after pressing Hangman into the corner against the ref to momentarily cause the ref to lose focus. After the cheap shot, MJF hit a Heat Seeker and Piledriver on Hangman to get the one-two-three and capture the AEW World Championship.

AEW Revolution 2022 went off the air with MJF standing tall with the AEW World Championship above his head.

AEW DYNAMITE

WEDNESDAY WEEK 1, MARCH 2022

AEW DARK: ELEVATION

1. Men of the Year def. Varsity Blondes

2. Killer Kelly def. KiLynn King

3. Karl Anderson def. Brock Anderson

The first AEW Dynamite post-Revolution kicked off with new AEW World Champion MJF coming to the ring for his championship celebration. This was a whole affair, with balloons, a red carpet, all of the Pinnacle, everything. MJF stated that AEW now has a true champion, and he will defend the title with "honor and respect." He made a plethora of demands for Wardlow, including rolling out the red carpet, setting up the throne chair for MJF to sit on, and holding his scarf for him as he paraded around the ring with the title belt. He was visibly angry throughout this "celebration."

1. Cody Rhodes def. Daniel Garcia - Garcia takes another walloping from an AEW star, but during Cody's celebration he was attacked from behind by…

f6GEbnD.jpg

MATT CARDONA!

The self-proclaimed hottest man in professional wrestling makes his return to AEW to attack now-former friend Cody Rhodes. He beat Cody mercilessly with a chair before cracking open a PBR, taking a chug and then smashing Cody across his bloody forehead with it. He only relented his attack on Cody when the Nightmare Family came to the ring, forcing Cardona to scurry through the crowd.

2. Hardy Family Office (Matt Hardy & The Butcher & The Blade) def. Matt Sydal & Motor City Machine Guns - The much larger team was able to come out on top, despite many hope spots from the three babyfaces that popped the crowd.

Jungle Boy was backstage with Alex Marvez about to be interviewed when he was confronted by Bobby Fish. Fish got in Jungle Boy's face, distracting him until Adam Cole appeared and superkicked him. Bobby Fish and Adam Cole bumped fists as the Bucks came up and thanked Fish for his help. They all paused at hearing a loud roar, and sprinted away before Luchasaurus and Christian Cage appeared to aid their friend.

The Bullet Club, AJ Styles, Jay White and the Guerrillas of Destiny came to the ring to a huge reaction from the crowd. Jay White talked about his history with Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi, the two men they attacked at AEW Revolution this weekend. Styles said that he has a similar history with them, and plenty of unfinished business. He mentioned being attacked by Kenny Omega his last day in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and that's something he hasn’t forgotten about. He introduced Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows as reinstated members of the Bullet Club, and the Good Brothers came to the ring. At that point, the Bucks' music hit and they also came to the ring. Matt Jackson said that in case AJ Styles had forgotten, he and Nick were also there when AJ was kicked out of the Bullet Club. Matt said that history often repeats itself, and maybe they should do it again right now. Before anyone could move, Adam Cole's music hit and he came to the ring, flanked by Bobby Fish. Cole said that they all should let bygones be bygones, and announced that he was the one who made the call to bring the Bullet Club to All Elite Wrestling. They all have a common enemy in the Golden Lovers, and there is no reason for past hostilities to get in between them. Cole said, "After all, the Bullet Club is f-f-f-for lyfe…except for Kenny Omega." Cole threw up the Too Sweet, followed by AJ Styles and Jay White, and the rest of the crew joined in, reforming an alliance and also adding Bobby Fish.

3. Jordynne Grace def. Diamante - Jordynne Grace has been a star in AEW since her debut, and she picked up another win here over Diamante.

Alex Marvez was backstage with Christian Cage and Brian Cage. Christian said the Cages had a challenge in mind, against a group that each have had problems with for a long time. He challenged Team Taz's Ricky Starks and Jeff Cobb to a match for Rampage, to finally put an end to this feud.

4. Miro def. Jake Hager - Jake Hager put up a good fight, but it wasn't enough to beat the unbeatable, as Miro redeemed Jake Hager with a series of blows to the back of the head until Hager was out cold.

AEW Women's World Champion Dr. Britt Baker DMD was interviewed by Tony Schiavone. Tony noted that next week on Rampage, she will be defending her title against number one contender Tay Conti. Britt laughed and mentioned that its fitting that the (expletive) that keeps running her mouth around backstage is rewarded with a title match. She proceeded to berate Conti and said that after she beats her on Rampage next week, it's back to square one for Tay.

This Friday on Rampage, we will see Christian Cage & Brian Cage team up to face Team Taz's Ricky Starks & Jeff Cobb. Jungle Boy will look for revenge on Bobby Fish. And one week before her title match, Tay Conti will face The Bunny. And next week on Dynamite, Sammy Guevara will take on The Pinnacle's Shawn Spears. Men of the Year face the Dark Order's Evil Uno & Stu Grayson. Penelope Ford will face the debuting Allysin Kay. The Young Bucks re-ignite an old rivalry as they face the Inner Circle's Santana & Ortiz. And Jay White makes his AEW debut to face the Elite Hunter, Frankie Kazarian.

5. Bryan Danielson def. Ricochet - In an absolute barnburner of a contest, Danielson, one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, defeated Ricochet. This could easily be a top five match in AEW history, and was a coming out party for Ricochet. In the end however, Danielson made Ricochet pass out with a guillotine leg choke to get the victory. Danielson and CM Punk celebrated as AEW Dynamite went off the air.

RESULTS

1. Cody Rhodes def. Daniel Garcia

2. HFO (Hardy/Butcher/Blade) def. Matt Sydal & Motor City Machine Guns

3. Jordynne Grace def. Diamante

4. Miro def. Jake Hager

5. Bryan Danielson def. Ricochet

AEW RAMPAGE

FRIDAY WEEK 1, MARCH 2022

The show opened with a recap of the Bullet Club segment on Dynamite, which saw the Bullet Club and Superkliq align and thus create the strongest Bullet Club faction of all time.

1. Jungle Boy def. Bobby Fish - Unfortunately for the new Bullet Club member Bobby Fish, he was unable to pick up a victory in his first match post-induction, as Jungle Boy caught him with a rollup for the victory. Adam Cole attacked Jungle Boy, but this time Luchasaurus and Christian Cage were able to make the save on time before any serious harm could be done.

Tony Schiavone was in the ring with the Bastard PAC, who is one-third of the AEW World Trios Champions. Tony asked PAC what his plans are with the Lucha Bros following their victory over Los Ingobernables at AEW Revolution. Before PAC could answer, Andrade El Idolo and Thea Trinidad interrupted. Trinidad said that Death Triangle may have won at Revolution, but Andrade will not rest until he gets his hands on PAC. PAC invited Andrade to the ring for a brawl, to which Andrade obliged and a huge fight began between them. Rush & Dragon Lee came to the aid of Andrade, and the Lucha Brothers came to the aid of PAC. It took dozens of security and officials and separate the trios as AEW Rampage went to commercial.

2. Tay Conti def. The Bunny - Conti made quick work of the Bunny as Britt Baker watched from the ramp. Conti made the belt gesture, signaling that she plans on walking out next week as AEW Women's World Champion.

The Young Bucks cut a quick backstage promo. Matt Jackson recapped their history with Santana & Ortiz. He noted that the last time they faced each other was at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam last September, a match that saw Santana & Ortiz win the AEW World Tag Team Championships from them. Nick said that it's funny that even though the Bucks lost the last time they wrestled, their still the favorites going into this match, because the loss was a fluke. The Young Bucks are the best damn tag team in the world, read it and mother effing weep.

3. Team Taz (Ricky Starks & Jeff Cobb) def. Christian Cage & Brian Cage - The Cages fell short here against the fast-rising Ricky Starks and the behemoth Jeff Cobb. After Cobb and Cage took one another out when Cobb hit a hard German Suplex on the floor, Starks reversed a Killswitch into a Cutter, and then followed it up with a Spear and Roshambo to pick up the win for his team.

RESULTS

1. Jungle Boy def. Bobby Fish

2. Tay Conti def. The Bunny

3. Team Taz (Ricky Starks & Jeff Cobb) def. Christian Cage & Brian Cage

AEW DYNAMITE

WEDNESDAY WEEK 2, MARCH 2022

AEW DARK: ELEVATION

1. Altisimo def. Brandon Cutler

2. Best Friends (OC/Taylor/Beretta/Yuta) def. The Wingmen (Nemeth/Drake/Bononi/Avalon)

3. Kris Statlander def. The Bunny

4. Katsuhiko Nakajima def. Royce Isaacs

For the second week in a row, AEW Dynamite opened with AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman coming to the ring with Wardlow accompanying him. In the ring, MJF talked about being an "honorable" AEW champion. Before long, MJF began to run down Wardlow, and claimed that he was able to win the title at AEW Revolution from Hangman Adam Page without his help (Wardlow handed MJF the Dynamite Diamond Ring), and unlike Wardlow, was able to win a title in the first place. He continued belittling his bodyguard by calling him a waste of space in the ring, and he should have brought in his old friend Hammerstone instead of him. At the end of the segment, Wardlow got in MJF's face and shoved him to the ground. MJF got back to his feet and tried running out of the ring, but Wardlow grabbed him and began to give him powerbomb after powerbomb. He then pulled the Dynamite Diamond Ring out of his pocket, hoisted MJF to his feet and clocked him with it! The crowd went bananas as Wardlow stood tall over the AEW World Champion. Shawn Spears sprinted down to the ring and tried talking to Wardlow, but Wardlow laughed at him and left.

1. Sammy Guevara def. Shawn Spears - With Spears mightily distracted, Guevara made quick work of him and put him away in less than five minutes.

Ricky Starks made his way to the ring by himself, no Team Taz. Starks said that time and time again, he shows that he is Absolute, and he demands the respect that he has been lacking. At Revolution, he beat a legend and former world champion in Christian Cage, on Rampage he and Jeff Cobb beat Christian and that doofus Brian Cage. And now, Starks said it is time for him to be rewarded with a title shot. Eddie Kingston! At the sound of his name, TNT Champion Kingston came out onto the ramp. Kingston said that he has known Ricky for a long time, even before they came to AEW. He said he has respect, but don't come out here saying his name. He said that if Ricky wants a title match, he can get it. But be warned, because all that momentum Ricky has been building will come to an end.

Ruby Soho had a quick promo to hype her match with The Bunny for next week. She said that she came to AEW to break out, and she has not done that yet. BUT, her time is coming, and her Destination is the AEW Women's World Championship.

2. Men of the Year def. Dark Order (Uno/Grayson) - Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky showed that they are truly incredible by taking out two OG Dark Order members here.

After the match, Ethan Page grabbed a microphone. He said that he and Scorp have been tearing it up for months and have been ranked in the top five for over six months. He then called out CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, the AEW World Tag Team Champions, and said that they are overdue a title shot.

Alex Marvez was backstage with Christian Cage. Christian said that he has came up short, twice in a row, to Ricky Starks and Team Taz. He said that's okay, Ricky Starks is the damn future and there is no shame. But what there is shame in, is attacking people from behind. He said that his good friends Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus have been targeted by the Superkliq: Matt and Nick Jackson and Adam Cole. And now he heard that they have re-joined the Bullet Club. Christian said that the last time the Bullet Club was relevant, he was doing a podcast on the WWE Network. The Young Bucks then appeared and started arguing with Christian, allowing Adam Cole to come up from behind Christian and take him out. After a short beatdown by the three men, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus came to their friend's aid and drove them off.

3. Allysin Kay def. Penelope Ford - Allysin Kay wins in her debut! She received a modest reaction during her entrance, but by the end of the match, she had the crowd fully behind her. Instead of playing to the crowd however, she attacked Penelope Ford after the bell, grabbed a microphone and announced that she is in All Elite Wrestling because they pay the best, and its where the best women in wrestling compete. She is here to collect checks and collect titles.

Los Ingobernables cut a pre-recorded promo. Thea Trinidad talked about the war with Death Triangle, with the final battle coming this Friday on Rampage when Andrade El Idolo takes on AEW World Trios Champion PAC. After that match, Los Ingobernables attention will be shifted elsewhere. Andrade said that next week on AEW Dynamite, he introduces the newest member of Los Ingobernables, and it may just be the biggest surprise in the history of All Elite Wrestling…

4. Jay White def. Frankie Kazarian - Bullet Club co-leader Jay White defeated the self-proclaimed Elite Hunter Frankie Kazarian. Despite having the Guerrillas of Destiny and AJ Styles at ringside, they did not interfere and Jay picked up a clean win with a Blade Runner.

Tay Conti was being interviewed by Alex Marvez backstage, when AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker entered the scene. Marvez mentioned the fact that on Rampage this Friday, Conti will be challenging Baker for her title, to which Baker responded that is i Tay Conti can make it to Rampage. At that moment, Chelsea Green appeared and attacked Conti from behind. The heels beat up Conti until Anna Jay appeared with a chair to drive them away.

The announce team ran down the card for Rampage and next week's Dynamite. On Rampage, AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker defends her title against Tay Conti. HFO leader Matt Hardy ends his feud with Matt Sydal. And Los Ingobernables leader Andrade El Idolo faces AEW World Trios Champion and one-half of Death Triangle, PAC. Eddie Kingston defends the TNT Championship against Ricky Starks in his ninth defense. The HFO's Jack Evans takes on Orange Cassidy. The Bunny faces Ruby Soho. Ricochet & Altisimo team to face Rush & Dragon Lee. And in the main event, CM Punk & Bryan Danielson defend their AEW World Tag Team titles against Men of the Year, Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky.

5. The Young Bucks def. Santana & Ortiz - The Young Bucks finally get their revenge, as they finally come out on top against Santana & Ortiz. As is per usual with a Bucks match on Dynamite, this was by far the best match of the night and probably the best of the week. The Bucks won after Adam Cole interfered, allowing the heels to hit a Meltzer Driver for the victory.

Adam Cole and the Young Bucks attacked Santana & Ortiz after the match, leading to Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara sprinting to the ring to save their Inner Circle teammates. With the odds in their favor, the Inner Circle gained the upper hand and Jericho grabbed Floyd when the lights dimmed and Unsettling Differences by Blue Smock Nancy started playing…

KEVIN STEEN!

Kevin Steen is #AllElite! The former ROH World Champion stood at the top of the entranceway for a moment as he stared into the ring. Jericho locked eyes with him and left the ring to meet him on the ramp! Steen ran forward and began brawling with Jericho, eventually taking him out and throwing him into the guardrail. He then entered the ring and helped the Bullet Club members take out the rest of the Inner Circle. The beatdown ended with Steen nailing Sammy Guevara with a Package Piledriver.

Mount Rushmore is in All Elite Wrestling!

RESULTS

1. Sammy Guevara def. Shawn Spears

2. Men of the Year def. Dark Order (Uno/Grayson)

AEW RAMPAGE

FRIDAY WEEK 2, MARCH 2022

AEW World Tag Team Champions CM Punk & Bryan Danielson opened Rampage. Punk said that on Dynamite, Men of the Year challenged them to a title match for Dynamite. Since they are fighting champions, they accept. Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky came out onto the ramp, leading to a promo battle between the four men, highlighted by Danielson calling Ethan Page the lesser half of every tag team he has ever been in.

1. Matt Hardy def. Matt Sydal - The HFO's success continues, with rival Sydal coming out on the losing end here. This comes one week after Hardy, Butcher and Blade defeated Sydal and the Motor City Machine Guns on Dynamite.

TNT Champion Eddie Kingston cut a promo backstage on Ricky Starks. He said that on Dynamite, Starks becomes just another tally on a long and growing list of defenses for the champ. Kingston said that holding this title has been the highlight of his life, and he won't lose it to nobody.

2. AEW Women's World Championship: Britt Baker © def. Tay Conti - The reign continues as Baker defeated Conti in just under ten minutes in what was a very good match.

After the match, Chelsea Green joined the champion in a beatdown on Conti, until Anna Jay sprinted down to save her friend once again. Anna Jay did the belt motion, signifying that she wants a shot at Baker's title!

The announce team ran down the card for next week's Dynamite.

And in a massive main event, on next week's AEW Rampage, AJ STYLES TAKES ON KOTA IBUSHI!

3. Andrade El Idolo def. PAC - In yet another Match of the Year contender, Andrade El Idolo took down PAC in a twenty two minute classic. Additionally, Andrade won the match clean, something that he has not been doing much of. Both men came out of this match looking way better than going in. A star making performance for two already established stars.

Thea Trinidad grabbed a mic after the match and reminded everyone that this Wednesday, the pro wrestling landscape changes forever when they introduce the newest member of Los Ingobernables.

RESULTS

1. Matt Hardy def. Matt Sydal

2. AEW WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: Britt Baker © def. Tay Conti (10th defense)

3. Andrade El Idolo def. PAC

ROAD TO AEW SUPERBRAWL: THE CLASH

MARCH WEEK 3 2022 - APRIL WEEK 2 2022

The road to AEW SuperBrawl: The Clash kicked off with what many consider one of the best episodes of AEW Dynamite of all time. The biggest news coming out of that show was the debut of Ashley Flair. One of the most accomplished women's wrestlers of all time, Flair debuted after a Ruby Soho victory over The Bunny. For weeks prior, Los Ingobernables hinted that a new member would be joining their ranks, and that the debutant was a megastar in the wrestling industry. After Soho's win, Thea Trinidad and Andrade El Idolo, joined by Rush and Dragon Lee, stood on the ramp and introduced Ashley Flair to the AEW audience. Trinidad also announced that Flair's first match would be against Ruby Soho on the following week's AEW Rampage. The other big news coming out of that episode of AEW Dynamite was the end to Eddie Kingston's TNT Championship reign at six months and eight defenses, as Ricky Starks toppled the champion. Despite the adoration the crowd has for Kingston, the Starks victory resulted in a huge positive reaction for the new champion. Following the highly-praised AEW Dynamite, AEW Rampage had an almost impossible standard to reach, but did in fact reach the same quality. The main event was AJ Styles vs. Kota Ibushi for the first time in over six years. Just like Styles' victory over Ibushi at NJPW Invasion Attack 2014, the Bullet Club played a pivotal role in the finish, as Jay White, the only BC member at ringside, pushed Ibushi off the top rope as Styles distracted the referee, allowing Styles to hit a Styles Clash for the win. The Bullet Club leaders attacked Ibushi after the match, leading to Kenny Omega sprinting from the back to make the save. After fending them off, Kenny grabbed a microphone and challenged Jay White to a match at AEW SuperBrawl: The Clash.

The AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman's first challenger was his former bodyguard, Wardlow. MJF swore that he would have won the title without Wardlow, perhaps even sooner honestly, leading to Wardlow finally snapping and attacking the champion. MJF sent his only friend left, Shawn Spears, at Wardlow but Wardlow easily defeated him. FTR opted to not be involved in the Pinnacle implosion, but did state that they were on Wardlow's side. MJF told Wardlow that he is nothing without the champ telling him what to do, but Wardlow is ready to finally break out and take the title home for himself and show the world that he should have been in MJF's spot the whole time. After he beats MJF, he says he will make MJF his own lap dog, like he was to MJF for over two years.

The Bullet Club story continued the following week, when AJ Styles and Karl Anderson defeated two-thirds of the AEW World Trios Champions, the Lucha Brothers. After the match, Jay White announced that he would facing Jon Moxley for Moxley's IWGP United States Championship at his home promotion, at NJPW Sakura Genesis the following Sunday. And at that event, Jay White would defeat Jon Moxley to win the title. With the impending match at AEW SuperBrawl: The Clash against Kenny Omega, it was announced by AEW President Tony Khan that the match would now be for the IWGP United States title. On the go-home episode of AEW Dynamite, the Golden Lovers duo of Omega and Ibushi defeated the Guerrillas of Destiny, giving Omega momentum before his match at the quarterly special.

The debut of Kevin Steen in early March to reform Mount Rushmore alongside Adam Cole & The Young Bucks, while also joining the Bullet Club. His debut came when he aided a Superkliq beatdown on the Inner Circle after a Bucks win over Santana & Ortiz. Steen quickly expanded his list of enemies by confronting longtime friend and rival Rami Sebei on the following episode of AEW Dynamite. After Sebei defeated Daniel Garcia, he had a backstage interview with Alex Marvez in which he stated his intention to pursue the TNT Championship held by Ricky Starks. However, before the interview ended, Steen confronted Sebei and told him to watch his back in AEW, or he'll send him back to where they came from. The next week, Chris Jericho told Rami Sebei that the Inner Circle has his back, and their shared history of problem with Kevin Steen haven’t been forgotten. Rami Sebei defeated Team Taz's Will Hobbs to earn the TNT title against Ricky Starks at The Clash, but was immediately attacked by Team Taz. Jericho made good on his promise as the Inner Circle fended off a Mount Rushmore beatdown as Ricky Starks and Team Taz sprinted away before they were dragged into the melee. After the Inner Circle drove off the heels, Jericho challenged them to a four on four match at The Clash: Jericho, Guevara, Santana & Ortiz vs. Steen, Cole & The Young Bucks. In his first AEW match, Kevin Steen defeated Sammy Guevara on the penultimate AEW Dynamite, giving his group the momentum heading into the huge show.

AEW Women's World Champion Dr. Britt Baker DMD continued her tremendous AEW Women's World Championship reign that started at the previous year's Double or Nothing PPV. On the Week 3 episode of AEW Rampage, she teamed with Chelsea Green to face TayJay, a match that she lost as she was pinned clean by Anna Jay, giving Jay a title match a couple weeks later on AEW Dynamite. Britt Baker would end up winning the match, giving her wins over both members of TayJay in one month. After beating Anna Jay, Jordynne Grace, the number one contender, came out and challenged Britt to a title match at The Clash. Britt accepted and told her that Grace will just be another number in her defense column and prove that Grace will never truly make the "impact" she thinks she will.

With the debut of Ashley Flair, Los Ingobernables instantly became a major force in AEW. The week after the debut that made shockwaves in the wrestling world, Flair stated that she wants gold in All Elite Wrestling. However, she knows how it works here, so she will need to climb the rankings and earn her match. She began her journey by defeating Ruby Soho on AEW Rampage (and was subsequently attacked by Nyla Rose backstage that same night), and then defeated Maki Itoh in a special return match for Itoh. As for Rush and Dragon Lee, their luck on the road to AEW SuperBrawl: The Clash did not go as well as Flair's. The duo defeated Ricochet & Altisimo, and then attacked AEW World Tag Team Champions CM Punk & Bryan Danielson on the next episode of AEW Dynamite. They would lose to the champions in a title match, a loss that was very amusing to the Lucha Bros, who were shown backstage laughing after the match ended. Rush and Dragon Lee, upset by this, faced the team on the go-home episode of AEW Rampage but would also lose that match. Andrade El Idolo was very upset with another loss for his group to Death Triangle, and told the duo that they needed to get back into shape or he would fire them.

After Matt Cardona returned to AEW to confront former friend Cody Rhodes, the two spent almost a month dueling each other in promos. The crux of the feud was that Cardona was angry at Cody for leaving him behind as All Elite Wrestling has taken off for the last three years. Cody's response was that they gave him an opportunity two years ago at All Out, but he wasn't good enough to earn a contract with them. On the first AEW Dynamite of April, Matt Cardona teamed with 2point0 to take on and defeat Dustin Rhodes and the Gunn Club. After the match, Cardona officially challenged Cody Rhodes to a match at AEW SuperBrawl: The Clash. Cody accepted, but only if they met in a Strap Match!

Thunder Rosa continued her long reign as NWA World Women's Champion. Her next challenger would be Allysin Kay, who earned the title match by defeating Mercedes Martinez. Allysin Kay vowed to take back the title from Thunder Rosa, who defeated Kay for the title in January 2020.

There were many other stories heading into AEW SuperBrawl: The Clash that did not result in matches on the PPV. One-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Bryan Danielson, earned the ire of The Factory's Anthony Ogogo after saying that the British ex-boxer has not been the star that the company had hoped. Ogogo went toe-to-toe on the mic with Danielson, and was perhaps even better, but would eventually lose to Bryan Danielson on the go-home episode of AEW Rampage. AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle continued the inaugural reign of the titles by defeating Dark Order's Evil Uno, Stu Grayson and John Silver after the Dark Order trio defeated The Factory's QT Marshall, Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto the week prior. Adam Cole and Jungle Boy went toe-to-toe for most most of the month, with Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy defeating the Superkliq on the last Dynamite of March, but Adam Cole would beat Jungle Boy two weeks later on the go-home Dynamite. Orange Cassidy also had a short feud with Matt Hardy that ended with a Tables Match, with Orange Cassidy getting the win.
