Before anybody else votes, I wanna explain the reasoning for why we’re even asking this question.

We’re looking at a way to differentiate the two titles of the two franchises. And that these are independent companies under the WWE umbrella. Trying to make the appearance of the titles not be uniform so that each franchise and each show stands out. And this was an idea.

With that said, we’re really curious what you guys think - so please continue to vote!

I get it, I do. Big gold is fine but personally I would bring back winged eagle (round version). :-)

I love the Big Gold, but for me it conjures up too many memories unrelated to WWE, and in WWE it was treated as the B-belt. Between these two, I think I would go with the blue belt actually, though I understand your thought process.

Dolph attacks Cesaro before the bell rings, trying to gain an advantage and beats down the champion, scoring near falls in the process. Cesaro delivers stiff Uppercuts and punches to get back into the match but Dolph is as hard to put down as Cesaro. Dolph nails the Zig-Zag 1….2…..Cesaro kicks out. When Dolph goes to kick Cesaro while he is down, Cesaro grabs Dolph’s legs and spins him around in the Tiltawhirl. Cesaro then nails the Neutralizer for the pinfall.

After the win, Cesaro does a promo talking about the stops and starts in his career, but this is a new day, a new era and this title will be the premiere title because Cesaro will be a defending champ.

Kayla in the Managing Director's office - Sonya says that next week at MSG it will not only be Roman defending his title against Balor, but his family will also be in action. The SmackDown Tag Titles will kick off the show next week against SmackDown's newest tag team to be revealed at MSG. Kayla asks about the deal with NXT and Sonya says only that a new superstar from NXT will arrive soon.

SmackDown returns to a look at a few weeks ago where John Cena stole Finn Balor’s contract for the SmackDown World Title at SummerSlam and then the video shows Roman accepting the match for next week on SmackDown. Later tonight, Paul Heyman will be on hand to address the Balor - Reigns match at MSG next week.

Kacy Catanzaro from NXT is being given a “SmackDown Try Out” match by Managing Director Sonya Deville and unfortunately for her, it’s against Piper Niven. Piper comes out looking like an absolute monster and is rough and brutal with Kacy. And soon delivers a World Strongest Slam onto Kacy for the pinfall.

Dominik has some real bright moments during this match and shows true potential as he is able to hit a 619 and nearly scores a pinfall. But Jinder weathers the storm and turns the tide when he whips Dominik face first into a turnbuckle and takes over. From there Dominik is not able to recover and soon falls victim to Khallas. 1...2...3.

Bianca says that Sasha tried to do her dirty and stabbed her in the back because Sasha is weak and thought that was the only way to take this title. But Bianca is strong. Bianca is the present and the future. Because Bianca Belair is the SmackDown Women’s Cha…..Bianca’s speech is abruptly cut short when someone sneaks up behind her….

It’s Shayna Baszler! She blasts Bianca from behind and locks in the Kirifuda Clutch on Bianca. WWE officials race toward the ring to try to pull Shayna off but she won’t let go. Bianca is choking and Shayna is smiling with malice. Once Bianca passes out, Shayna releases the hold and leaves the ring smiling. The officials go check on the champion. Shayna Baszler is on SmackDown, she looks like the old Shayna and she has targeted our Women’s Champion!!

We go back to earlier where Shayna Baszler attacked Bianca Belair. Sonya Deville is on the screen from her office and says that since Shayna is here on SmackDown and wants to pick fights, fine - it is a fight she will have. At Extreme Rules Bianca Belair will get her chance at revenge when she puts the SmackDown Women's Title on the line against Shayna Baszler in a match of Bianca’s choosing. It is Champion’s Choice and Shayna will have to pay for her actions in two just over 2 weeks at Extreme Rules.

RICOCHET VS SAMI ZAYN

This is a fast paced and exciting featured match. The early part of the match sees Ricochet dominating the fight with his aerial assault. Sami uses a more grounded approach and once he grounds Ricochet, Sami starts to take control. After Sami hits the Helluva Kick, Baron Corbin comes out asking Sami’s film crew for money.

This brings another ref down to remove Corbin and he launches that ref into the post which distracts Sami. Ricochet is able to nail Sami from behind and rolls Sami up for the pinfall.

SmackDown returns to Sonya Deville throwing Corbin out of the building after the events we just saw. Corbin looks dejected and furious but he leaves.

Cole & Pat do one final rundown of next week’s massive “Season Premiere” of SmackDown from Madison Square Garden! They remind us that The Uso’s must defend their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against a mystery team who is the newest SmackDown signings next week and we are told that Cesaro will defend the SmackDown United States Title against Bobby Roode next week as well as the SmackDown World Title match between Finn Balor and Roman Reigns. That all goes down next week on FOX.

Paul Heyman is in the ring and he says that he is alone and he will remain alone and he calls Finn Balor down to the ring.

Finn gets into the ring, but he searches around for The Bloodline just to be sure. He is constantly moving while Paul speaks.

“Finn, I want you to know that I called you out here tonight to tell you about the respect that I have for you and to make you aware of what you are facing next week in New York City.

You and I have had the opportunity several times over the years to discuss your career and you know that I have been a fan of yours for a long, long time. Whether you were wrestling overseas or right here in the U.S., WWE or NXT or wherever, you know what I think of you as a performer and as a professional and as a manl. You are one of the greatest of your generation and on any given night you could walk down an aisle and get in this ring, and you could get your hand raised. Except, if you were getting in this ring with the Head of the Table. With the Tribal Chief. With the undisputed, undefeated, reigning, defending, Smackdown Heavyweight Champion of the World…Roman Reigns.

Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? He’s bigger, he’s stronger, he’s meaner, he’s more driven, he’s more competitive, he’s more dominant, and he’s all those things on his worst day. He could have a 110-degree fever and he’s still so far above the rest of you it’s almost sickening. I do like you, and I think you’re a hell of a wrestler, but in Madison Square Garden? You’re just another body to pile, and stack, and pin. It’s not personal, it’s just business.”

Finn thinks it over and says “maybe you’re right”. And goes to leave but then stops and turns back with an evil look in his eye. Balor slowly walks over to Heyman who begins to back away and continues to back away looking very afraid until Heyman is the one backed into a corner. Finn grabs the microphone from Heyman and looks him dead in the eye and says “it is just business. And next week, MY business is walking out of Madison Square Garden with the SmackDown World Title.”

Just then The Usos hit the ring and start attacking Finn. They beat him down as Roman starts to cockily make his way out to pick the bones. Roman puts a leg up on the ring apron when Finn suddenly low blows Jimmy and then decks Jey and beats down both Uso’s before doing a running forearm at Roman.

Roman falls to the floor and Heyman is grabbing at his champion to keep him from engaging with the challenger. Finn Balor holds the ring as SmackDown goes off the air, will he be holding the title next week in Madison Square Garden?

So instead of showing up in….Oklahoma City and watching the tumbleweeds, I flew down to Cabo and basked in the sun and the pool and the high fashion boutiques where I was rightfully appreciated. But now that I’m back it’s time to put the crown jewels back around my waist.

As soon as the bell rings Charlotte boots Aliyah in the face. Charlotte berates her as being worthless and a loser like all the people in the audience and all the people watching at home. Charlotte is never in danger as she squashes Aliyah and ends the match with Natural Selection.

Carillo puts up a valiant fight and has Rollins on his heels for a few minutes to the crowd’s approval but that ends when Rollins slings him face first into the turnbuckles. Rollins keeps asking Carillo why he’s making Rollins hurt him, that he doesn’t want to do it but he has no choice. It’s for the greater good. Finally when Carillo is on all fours, Rollins ends it with a curb stomp.

Nia is not taking Naomi as much of a threat and in the early going she has reason to feel that way as she throws Naomi around and does anything she wants but the tide turns when Nia misses a reverse charge into the corner. Holding her back, the champion is open to a series of attacks by Naomi. Naomi lands a facebuster and Nia is stunned but she kicks out at two. The champ gets to her feet, looking unsteady and is knocked right back down to her knees thanks to a dropkick in the injured back. Naomi runs and bounces off the ropes hitting the rear view and gets the win when Nia kicks out at 3 ½ .

DAMIAN PRIEST VS COMMANDER AZEEZ W/APOLLO CREWS

The match looks similar to the one from two weeks ago with Priest one step ahead of Azeez and the bigger man is increasingly frustrated. Crews on the outside provides a constant distraction but it goes beyond that when Priest hits the ropes and Crews clocks him with the Intercontinental belt. Priest falls, holding the back of his head and the referee calls for the bell.

WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: DAMIAN PRIEST

He then ceremoniously hands the microphone to Big E while Woods toots along on Francesa II. Big E looks like he’s ready to explode with energy.

“Brothers and sisters! Tonight we are a-here, to send a clear, concise, and absolute message to one, Almighty Raw World Champion Bobby Lashley and the snake oil salesman he keeps by his side. This briefcase here puts the power in my hands and like the famous song goes. Every breath you take, every move you make, I’ll be watching you, Bobby! When you sleep, when you eat, when you’re with your laaaaaaady, when you’re in the bathroom. No, no, wait, I’ll give you your space on that one. But you get my point. One slip and 123! Elias and Big E brawl for the majority of the match and it does appear that Elias is holding all the cards until he tries a crossbody block off the second rope and Big E catches him in mid air, then hoists him up and nails the Big Ending for the win.

KARRION KROSS W/SCARLETT VS KOFI KINGSTON

With no members of the New Day at ringside this is a pure one on one fight, aside from the beautiful Scarlett of course. Kofi holds his own and they trade the offense throughout the match. When Kofi goes to the top for a moonsault, Kross hits the ropes and crotches him. Quickly, grabbing Kofi from behind, Kross drags him down off the ropes and applies the Kross Jacket. Kofi fights to get to the ropes with every ounce of energy he has but he finally passes out.

WINNER BY STOPPAGE: KARRION KROSS

As Kross lays flat on his back, Owens climbs the turnbuckles to the fans’ adoration. As he looks down, Scarlett is staring daggers at him but he just shrugs with a smile as the show ends.
