Scramble Match

The new directive from GCW puts the scramble matches at very high importance as the winner gets to choose a match or challenge for the GCW Extreme title.

Colby Corino became the first man to get this advantage as he won after pinning both Kai and Leon with a Superkick.

Pretty Boy Killers vs XXXL

The GCW universe was buzzing when Lee and Taylor emerged at the end of For The Culture to have a staredown with the Briscoes and the match has already been signed. This was PBK's in-ring debut and they were taking another big man debuting team in XXXL and we got a hoss fight but Lee made short work of the match by delivering a humongous Spirit Bomb on Romero for the victory.

Tony Deppen © vs Jack Cartwheel

Cartwheel was given this opportunity as the result of winning the first Scramble Match of 2022 at For The Culture. Even though he delivered some wow moments but the call back moment of the night would always belong to Tony Deppen:

His tope suicida into a poison rana to Cartwheel outside was enough for the young star to get himself knocked out.

Alex Zayne/Blake Christian vs IronBeast

After getting released from NXT, both Zayne and Christian has been firing all cylinders and they decided it will be better for them to tag together in a bid to win some gold.

Their 1st challenge was the GCW veteran team Iron Beast and even though they had size advantage, the innovative offense of both Zayne and Christian kept them at bay and Zayne won the match with his beautiful 630 Senton.

The self-proclaimed Deathmatch King, Matt Cardona arrived in GCW with his wife in tow.

"GCW's most notorious couple, the Deathmatch King and Queen have graced the GCW Universe with their presence and this event has already been elevated. But someone in the back is hell-bent on making life miserable for us, even going to the extent of leaking gross photoshopped images on Twitter. You tried to ruin our newly married life but Janela, we are united and no amount of f**kery from you will change that."

They share a passionate kiss.

"Janela, at Say You Will I will make you my b**tch and your dream of taking my Internet title and my girl, not happening ever."

GCW Ultraviolent Title Deathmatch

Alex Colon © vs SHLAK

Alex Colon has been a deathmatch workhorse ever since he won the Ultraviolent title. He was facing an equally violent man in SHLAK. The match started with exchange of closed fists but soon descended into chaos as both brought in toys to play.

SHLAK got the first big moment of the night when he used the broken door to send Colon packing on the bed of chairs lying outside:

Then Colon came back with a light tube aided suicide dive:

Colon finally finished the match with a light-tube bundle aided Reverse Boston Crab which forced SHLAK to tap out.

Briscoes © vs The Rejects

After that violent match, we got the main event which promised to be similar if not more horrific in nature. Briscoes have settled nicely in GCW and they have been making bloody defenses across GCW events but the Rejects were another challenge altogether. Two men who has no regards for their body went face to face with Dem Boys and we got chairs, barbed wires and even an attempt at a weedwhacker shot from JWM but thankfully, Jay Briscoe dodged it in the nick of time. But Bentley didn't have such fortune as Mark got hold of the weedwhacker and sliced his back opening a deep wound and blood started flowing creating a red puddle in the ring.

A Froggy Bow was enough to chalk up yet another defense after that.

Loud pops throughout the arena signal the arrival of the Hardcore Legend Mick Foley. The cheers were deafening.

"Thank you everyone for loving me even after so many years. This love brought me back to wrestling and here I am, standing before you as the owner of GCW. You all know that we have our biggest show coming up in Hammerstein Ballroom. And to celebrate it, we need a big main event. So, in our next show, we will crown the #1 contender to Jon Moxley's GCW World Title, in a Do or Die Rumble. 15 men will dream and 1 will conquer. Also more announcements will come in the coming days. Until then enjoy the show."

Another hard-hitting match with SGC trying all the tricks in the bag to get advantage on the two big men but they were like a freight train running at full speed. A piledriver from Taylor on a ladder outside to Manders knocked both of them out while Lee took the advantage of the distraction with a humongous Spirit Bomb on a table to break Justice in half and win the pin.

Matt Cardona © w/ Chelsea Green vs Joey Janela

Matt Cardona as always lived up to his reputation as the biggest heel in GCW by wearing a F**K MICK FOLEY jacket while making an entrance and then Chelsea Green reveals opens her jacket to reveal the top which said "Spring Break No More" hinting the event that Janela produced and popularized. The crowd was incensed and one of them threw a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon to Cardona which he grabbed, gulped and spit back on that same fan, angering the crowd even further.

Janela tried ending this early with a piledriver on the ring apron but Cardona kicked out. He got a Broski Boot from Cardona but then the Bad Boy kicked out. These rapid-fire pinfall attempts happened for a while before Janela threw a chair in the face of Cardona which staggered him. Chelsea tried her best to distract but she was superkicked for her troubles.

A series of chair shots to the head and back drew blood from Matt and crowd was loving it. Janela went for a pin but Cardona reversed it into a bridging pin attempt before his big hands came into play and he punched and chopped Janela into misery.

Janela though was in no mood to give up as he speared Cardona outside through a table and then again through a guard rail. Chelsea tried to come to her husband's rescue again but she was shocked when Janela kissed her right on the mouth and then got slapped by the Bad Boy.

Just when Janela was about to pin, out of nowhere a man wearing a helmet appeared through the crown and into the ring and kicked Janela right in the groins. Chelsea and Janela made their way to the ring and then Chelsea drops a Canadian Destroyer on Janela before a Radio Silence by Cardona brought an end to this chaotic match

Matt Cardona © vs Parrow

Matt Cardona arrived with his entourage, Chelsea and Brian Myers and he tried to show aggression but for the first time, he was coming face to face with a competitor who was larger than him so he failed miserably. Parrow kept manhandling him throughout and had won the match a couple of times with a Murder Bomb but every time Parrow went for the pin, either Chelsea would distract the ref or Myers would drag Cardona out.

Parrow got frustrated and he started chasing Myers outside the ring before he was led back at which point, Cardona had the helmet that Myers had worn previously and he hit Parrow hard in the head almost breaking the glass. A Radio Silence followed and once again Cardona had retained through hellish ways.

Matt Cardona makes defense #4 of GCW Internet Title

Matt Cardona starts riling up the crowd once again and says the biggest show of GCW is just 10 days away and it is all because of the Deathmatch King that the show has sold out. So, he will be damned if he doesn't feature in it. So, he is having an open challenge for him and Chelsea so if any couple has the balls to face the Deathmatch King and Queen, come at Hammerstein.

z3nn1xSs.png

"Now Cardona. You have been going on too long alienating fans and crapping over them and I will not stand by and watch you spread your filth. And you think holding an open challenge for you two at Hammerstein will grab all the headlines?? You definitely are right because everyone in GCW Universe wants you two to get your a** kicked so I will add a little bit of incentive to your announcement.

I am changing the GCW Internet Title from a single one to a tag title and an intergender tag title, perhaps the first time ever in wrestling history and so whoever steps up will be fighting for the title.!!!!

Have a nice day!!!"

After a bloody war, Colon won it and took revenge for his loss last year.

Alex Colon © vs G-Raver

Another Colon match, another bloody title defense. Alex Colon is hell bent on making his run the most iconic deathmatch run of all time and he had been facing the deathmatch legends for the last 3 months and getting himself bloodied in the process. This was no different as the psychotic and dark G-Raver appeared with his awesome mask and that set the vibe. In the end though, Colon's barbed wire-aided crossface dug into Raver's Face and blood gushed out before he had no choice but to tap out.

Alex Colon made defense #7 of GCW Ultraviolent Title.

Post-match, Colon hobbled inside the ring grabbing the mic and he mentioned how he has been making sure that he is at the top of food chain of deathmatch universe. He has beaten who's who of GCW deathmatch veterans and stars, be it G-Raver, be it SHLAK, Aticus Cogar, Akira, The Rejects, Neil Cutter and so many of them and he is still standing tall. So, at The World on GCW, he is inviting anybody from any part of the world, perhaps any ECW veteran who has never wrestled on GCW before to come and take this title from him but be warned, Colon needs to be killed before he lets go of the belt.

This was a pure clusterf**k. One half of four of the best tag teams in GCW went to kill each other and they did with doors, tables and chairs flying all over the place. Bentley was murdered with a piledriver from Shane Taylor on a ladder and a follow up chair assisted tope suicida from Zayne which sent him crashing on a table. Taylor and Briscoe fought all over the crowd and multiple tables were broken. Zayne got the match with a 630 Senton over Bentley.

Alex Zayne wins with a 630 Senton over Reed Bentley.

Blake Christian comes out to celebrate with his tag partner and they say since they are unable to go for a tag title match at Hammerstein, they will challenge Rejects but they are not content with beating the outsiders, they want to challenge the soul of GCW because they believe it's time to replace the king, Nick Gage.

Zayne called out Nick Gage, asking him to come with any partner of his choice and face them and Rejects in a triple threat deathmatch, dubbed the Three Pillars Deathmatch, where every team can bring a weapon of their choice.

Do or Die Rumble

- We got a surprise entrant in Bandido who was in GCW ring for the first time and he was an early crowd favorite with his highlight reel like moves, eliminating Gringo Loco and Manders but his affinity to play the crowd cost him as he was dumped outside by Cardona who was Alwayz Ready.

- Tony Deppen lasted as long as the final four which was impressive as he was the smallest man in the fray and he even eliminated heavyweights like JWM and Finau with his swift kicks and lightning knee strikes but Reed who had already been eliminated by Deppen came back to take revenge and slapped Deppen which diverted his attention as he was dumped by Cardona again. Reed and Deppen exchanged strikes on the ramp before a hooded man came out and DDT both of them on the bare floor. He then superkicked both, sending them to the crowd. He opened his hood and,

Shane Strickland, F.K.A Isiah "Swerve" Scott has landed in GCW!!

- Matt Cardona was looking the favorite to win as he was in the last three along with Janela and Homicide and he also clocked 5 eliminations, but Janela eliminated Cardona and in turn got eliminated by Homicide who wins the Rumble. Janela gets jumped on by Cardona's allies as they gave him a beating.

Homicide wins the Do or Die Rumble

After the win, Moxley comes in and confronts Homicide. They have a staredown before Moxley raises the hand of Homicide and they play to the crowd.

AJ Gray vs Calvin Tankman vs Gringo Loco vs Thunder Rosa vs Effy vs Jimmy Lloyd

The biggest opportunity arrives for six superstars of GCW. Grab the ring and book yourself in any title match of your liking in the next six months. Who will be the ultimate opportunist?

Pan Afrikan Diaspora Title Match

Trish Adora © vs Nyla Rose

GCW Streaming Stars Inter-Gender Title

Cardonas (Matt Cardona/Chelsea Green) vs ??? (w/ Joey Janela)

In the wake of the feud between Mick Foley and Matt Cardona, the Internet title that was so dear to Matt Cardona was changed to the first ever Inter-gender title in USA. Cardona's continued attack on Joey Janela has left him seething and he has vowed to return with a duo that will take the title from them and inflate their ego.

3 Way Tag Dance

Alex Zayne/Blake Christian vs Rejects (Reed Bentley/John Wayne Murdoch) vs H8 Club (Nick Gage/Matt Tremont)

Zayne and Christian has been on somewhat of a stellar ride ever since they started teaming together at the start of the year. Since winning the Four Corners of Survival match, Zayne made a wish to fight in an iconic 3 way dance, a match which was made famous by ECW and he wanted Nick Gage to come to the party with any partner of his liking along with Rejects. Nick Gage went ahead and chose his long time tag partner, Matt Tremont and has reformed the H8 Club. Can the deathmatch legends kick the upstarts and the invaders from ICW or will any of the other two make a splash??

GCW Extreme Title Match

Tony Deppen © vs Myron Reed vs Shane "Swerve" Strickland

For many, a dream triple threat match. The current Extreme and the former ROH Television champion, Deppen battling against the former 2 time MLW Middleweight champion Myron Reed and the former NXT North American champion, Shane "Swerve" Strickland. This was supposed to be between Reed and Deppen until Strickland interfered in the matter. Who will triumph in this monumental clash?

GCW Ultraviolent Title Match

Alex Colon © vs ???

Colon's open challenge for any former ECW veteran to take him on. Who will step up to the challenge??

GCW Tag Title Match

Briscoes (Jay Briscoe/Mark Briscoe) © vs Pretty Boy Killers (Shane Taylor/Keith Lee)

Can't get bigger than this. Two teams who have previous history in ROH engaged in a violent feud with each other for the GCW Tag Titles.

Jon Moxley© vs Homicide

Moxley returns to the ring after three months and he faces one of the most respected indie veterans, Homicide who won the Do or Die Rumble to earn a shot. Both has promised to not hold anything back and we may get one of the most emotionally charged title matches of GCW.

AJ Gray vs Calvin Tankman vs Jimmy Lloyd vs Thunder Rosa vs Gringo Loco vs Effy

The first match of this historic night presented an unique opportunity to the six athletes present in a match, a shot at any title of their choosing at any time. It also featured a guest wrestler in Thunder Rosa who was returning to GCW after having wrestled on a few shows last year. Everyone came out hot and it gave this match the sense of purpose it needed.

AJ Gray fell right into a leaning ladder, Rosa superplexed Lloyd onto a ladder and Effy’s head got sandwiched between two ladders by Tankman. In the end, a powerbomb off the ladder to Gringo Loco which made crash on the prone Tankman was enough for Gray to climb the ladder, grab the ring and get his coveted opportunity.

AJ Gray wins the Grab the Brass Ring Ladder Match.

Pan Afrikan Diaspora World Title Match

Trish Adora © vs Nyla Rose

This had been one of the best built matches of the card with both Adora and Rose enjoying their moments at top through the feud. Rose went for the big power moves given her size and she almost destroyed Trish couple of times but with the crowd fully behind the champ, Trish got back her wind and started fighting back, hitting some sick chops to the chest and then a couple of stiff elbow strikes, the last one broke the tooth of Rose.

Trish got out of a Beast Bomb and then a running dropkick got her mojo back but it took three Lariat Tubmans to finally slay the beast but she had done it.

Trish Adora makes defense #8 of Pan-Afrikan Diaspora World Championship.

Post-match, Mick Foley came down to the ring to present the belt amidst huge roars and asked Trish to say something to the fans. Trish mentioned how she has managed to take this unknown title and this un-assuming belt to mean something in wrestling and how she toiled from company to company, defending the honour of this title and raising it at a level which was unheard of before. So, now that she has done everything for the title, it needs a makeover. Because she doesn’t want the title to be restricted to just Black people, she want to fight every women for the title and since GCW doesn’t have an official women’s title, tonight on this historic event, she is creating it.

It is no longer the Pan Afrikan Diaspora World Title, it is GCW Women’s Diaspora Title and she welcomes anybody to fight her for it.

Kiera Hogan comes down the ring and says to Trish that before she can start asking for challengers, she needs to be worried about her because Hogan has a title shot in the waiting, that she earned in Till Infinity.

Alex Colon © vs Sandman

The challenger was Sandman who entered to his iconic theme and Hammerstein came alive singing along. He was offered a few beers and he did his famous spot of bashing it against his skull. Of course, he was nowhere the wrestler that he was 20 years ago and so Colon had to slow the pace down to make this a watchable match. Sandman hit his signature Russian Leg Sweep using the Singapore cane but Colon kicked out before he ended the match with a piledriver.

Tony Deppen © vs Myron Reed vs Shane “Swerve” Strickland

One of the highlight matches of the night with the audience completely torn on whom to cheer for although the loudest reactions were reserved for Swerve who used every trick in the book to act more heelish but failed miserably as crowd cheered him throughout.

A No-Cap Splash from Reed to Deppen almost felt like he would pull off the surprise but Swerve dragged him at the right moment. All the three continued to bust out moves after moves but in the end, it was Swerve who kicked a diving Deppen right in the face to knock him out before he hits the House Call to Reed and followed it up with JML Driver to win the title.

Shane ”Swerve” Strickland wins the Extreme Title.

Cardonas © vs Pretty Proper

The Cardonas came as usual with a full on attitude handing out Hail The King & Queen shirts to fans who tore them up before they shared a wet kiss and absorbed the chorus of boos and flipped the audience. Janela came in and he brought in one of the most successful inter-gender indie tag teams in Pretty Proper – the husband wife duo of Lady Frost and Victor Benjamin.

We got a very competitive match with Frost and Victor going toe to toe with the Cardonas and even gave them a taste of their own medicine when Frost kicked right in the nuts of Matt Cardona and Chelsea in rage head butted Victor’s groin and both dropped like flies.

The two ladies kept on fighting with Brian Myers and Joey Janela duking it outside to prevent each other from interfering. Amongst all the chaos with all taking a breather outside, Frost delivers a highlight reel when she hits the Temperature Drop on everyone.

In the ring though, it was Chelsea who used a chair to bash Frost in the head without any official looking and then capitalized with a Vanprettier for the win.

Post match, Myers joined Cardona and Chelsea in once again beating the lights out of Janela before to a huge surprise,

Alex Zayne/Blake Christian vs Rejects vs H8 Club

Rejects entered first holding a couple of doors while Zayne and Christian proceeded to head to the ring with chairs. The last spot was reserved for Gage and Tremont and some raucous and loud cheers accompanied as they emerged with a bag full of thumbtacks.

Zayne and Christian brought their A-game as stiff striking and high-flying was layered across mind games and technicality. The Rejects violence was subdued by Tremont and Gage who were two legendary deathmatch wrestlers and seeing them re-uniting and reforming the H8 Club was a sight that many in the audience cherished as they received the loudest reactions.

A second rope piledriver from Gage on the door that Bentley had laid started the climax sequence as Tremont managed to drag JWM and laid him on top of a broken Bentley with thumbtacks covering their entire body and then goes for a big splash knocking out both the Rejects and himself. With Gage alone, he got showered with consecutive tope suicida chair shots from Zayne and Christian who had recovered now. With Bentley being the closest and the easiest to get dragged to the ring, Zayne did so and then a superb picture perfect 630 Senton was enough to pull off a win until Gage managed to break out the pin, piledrivered Zayne on top of Bentley and then just pinned Bentley to get the pin.

H8 Club won when Nick Gage pinned Reed Bentley.

Briscoes © vs Pretty Boy Killers

This was a big-money showdown that had been boiling over since PBK made their debut in For the Culture. Given their prior history in ROH, these two were familiar with each other and it gave way to a lot of moves and counter moves.

It led to anarchy from there as Mark took out both Lee and Taylor with a chair-assisted tope and hardcore brawls broke out around ringside. Chairs, bodies, and blood flew as the pair kept rearranging plunder and hitting each other with it.

PBK then double teamed and put Jay through a door. Both teams reached a stalemate and a four-way barfight broke out, everyone taking in a round of slug and chops. They collapsed but later met in the ring and the brawl continued. Some nasty short arm clotheslines were hit by Lee while Taylor ate a Jay Driller. As he was going for the Froggy Bo, Lee crashed the party and then picked Jay perched on a top turnbuckle and hit a delayed Spirit Bomb to pick up the win.

Jon Moxley © vs Homicide

This would be a fight as Moxley looked to retain his title after a necessary hiatus. He was looking better than ever but, then again, so was Homicide. It turned out to be a great match. The pair had amazing chemistry and meshed well as both mixed traditional technicality with brutal spots and underhanded tactics. Both went hell for leather for about 14 minutes.

Both used the plunder to great effect and then Moxley ended it with a Paradigm Shift on a chair pile and a second onto an open chair.

Jon Moxley makes defense #3 of GCW World Title.

Post match, Moxley raises his title and celebrates with the crowd but a certain member of the crowd jumps on him, takes the title off his hand and clocks Moxley with it.

He was wearing a mask with the words, Captain Gamechanger as he backed up on the ramp flipping the crowd as the show came to an end.</div>
