auto45
The Boog's Wacky World of Wrestling Alternate Universe... March 2022... Only one man can save professional wrestling as we know it... Eric "Rick 'The Stick' Del Hagen" Bugenhagen How did we get here? No one knows. All we know is that "The Stick" has opened his own company to build his vision. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, The Boog's Wacky World of Wrestling will change the way professional wrestling is perceived. Who is signed to his company? You'll have to wait and see when the first show airs in your living room. The First Annual Wrestling Boog-tacular!!! My problem with TEW saves has always been once I'm booking, there's always someone or something I want to book that is in either another company or era. So my way of fixing that is creating an alternate universe where I can do whatever I want and just have fun. I have been a fan of Bugenhagen since before he ever stepped foot in a wrestling ring, so I'm excited to tell a story with him. So get ready, because ANYTHING can happen in The Boog's Wacky World of Wrestling

auto45
The 1st Annual Wrestling Boog-tacular Live from a packed Del Hagen Arena in Madison, Wisconsin in-front of 10,000 fans Eric Bugenhagen in standing in the ring as soon as the show goes on-air. Mic in hand, he begins to discuss the history of professional wrestling. He states, "But none of that matters... This is a new era... The Boog's Era... Rick The Stick... Ricky Del Hagen... I am the face of professional wrestling." The fans cheer! They can't get enough of Bugenhagen! "All Ego" Ethan Page comes out from the back, the first debut in Boog's WWW! Once in the ring, he is handed a mic. "That's where you're wrong. I am the face of professional wrestling. I have always been the face of professional wrestling. And I will prove that tonight." He throws down his mic and the two men prepare for a match Segment Rating: 70 We are introduced to our commentary team, Mauro Ranallo and Pat McAfee. Eric Bugenhagen vs. "All Ego" Ethan Page The match started slow, with both men playing to the crowd. They were obviously behind Bugenhagen the whole way. Once Rick The Stick took over, he never let go. The match ended when Bugenhagen sent All Ego to the mat from the top rope with a Military Press Slam. Eric Bugenhagen defeated Ethan Page in 6:55 Segment Rating: 70 We cut to a pre-taped video. Danhausen is in a dark room. He looks menacing, more menacing than normal. He talks about a curse. A curse that is plaguing professional wrestling. What could that mean? Will we ever find out? Segment Rating: 42 Back in the arena, two men are standing on the ramp wearing extremely fancy robes. A woman comes out from behind them. It's Alicia Fox, but who are the men? One of them removes the hood of the robe and its Robert Roode. The other does the same and its... Rick Rude!?!? The men are announced as Rick & Robert Rude, The Rude Brothers. Fox escorts them on their way down to the ring, ready for their match. Segment Rating: 60 The Rude Brothers vs. Lee Moriarty and Daniel Garcia This match is a great show of skill from both teams. The Rude Brothers show an exceptional amount of chemistry, as every double team move they do is with perfect timing. Robert isolated Daniel Garcia on the outside, giving Rick time to hit the Rude Awakening on Lee Moriarty for the win The Rude Brothers defeated Lee Moriarty and Daniel Garcia in 14:28 Segment Rating: 62 BANG! CRASH! BOOM! THUNDER! LIGHTNING! Dr. Von Hardy is introduced, working in a lab that is conveniently backstage. He is talking to someone about how they have almost finished their biggest experiment yet. Willow steps out from the shadows. Dr. Von Hardy: "Soon we will be able to save the world of professional wrestling!" Willow just stares at Von Hardy. Dr. Von Hardy: "Yes, I completely agree!" Through a window in the back, you can see another man spying on the Doctor. Who could it be? Segment Rating: 78 Somewhere in rural Mexico. Filmed by a handheld camcorder. Andrade stands on the phone, speaking in Spanish. There are crates all around him and he looks frustrated. He spots the man filming and storms after him. The camcorder is dropped. Andrade picks it up and looks into it, before tossing it to the side. Segment Rating: 58 Maxwell Jacob Friedman vs. Tanahashi vs. Brian Pillman Jr. Chris Jericho is at ringside, supporting Pillman Jr. Tanahashi controls a lot of the match, but all three men get their moves in. When the referee, Rick Knox, is in the corner checking on a downed Tanahashi, Chris Jericho jumps up on the apron and hits Friedman with an elbow, setting up the roll-up from Pillman Jr. for the win. Brian Pillman Jr. defeated Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Tanahashi in 15:19 when Brian Pillman Jr. pinned Maxwell Jacob Friedman after Chris Jericho interfered Segment Rating: 59 Brian Pillman Jr. and Chris Jericho quickly turn their attention to Tanahashi. The commentary team put them over as "The Hollywood Blonds" Jericho holds Tanahashi up as Pillman Jr. hits him with the Spingboard Clothesline. Quickly followed up by a Judas Effect from Jericho. They leave the ring, being booed out of the arena by the fans. Segment Rating: 55 A video is shown of Hook with Taz narrating. It shows him submitting people. Taz puts him over as the greatest submission wrestler of this generation. Segment Rating: 47 Bryan Danielson and Los Luchas (Rey Mysterio & Pentagon) vs. Edge and The Dirt Sheet (Johnny Nitro & The Miz) Danielson, Mysterio, & Pentagon get huge support from the fans. This match is peak tag team wrestling, with all six men getting time in the spotlight. The ending came when Mysterio was going for a 619, but was caught in midair with a Spear from Edge for the 1. 2. 3. Edge and The Dirt Sheet defeated Bryan Danielson and Los Luchas in 17:08 when Edge pinned Rey Mysterio Segment Rating: 68 Edge demands a mic. He says that his "destiny" is to be champion of the world, and he will stop at NOTHING to get there. Segment Rating: 85 Before Edge can leave the ring, Bugenhagen comes out to the ramp. He announces that there will be a tournament to crown the first World Heavyweight Champion No one’s spot in the tournament is guaranteed, and it must be earned! Segment Rating: 100 MAINNNNN EVENTTTTT TIMEEEEEEE A loud viking-esque horn sounds. Bjørn Larsen comes out to the ramp looking like a full blown viking. His tag team partner for this evening... "The Cleaner" Kenny Omega! Their opponents... Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman and Prince Devitt!! Bjørn Larsen and Kenny Omega vs. Roman Reigns and Prince Devitt This is a complete slobberknocker. Hard hitting move after hard hitting move. They leave their all in the ring to show what The Boog's style really has to offer. The match ends in controversial style, when Reigns and Larsen are fighting on the outside. They completely ignore the count out and are only hellbent on beating the hell out of eachother. Bjørn Larsen and Kenny Omega drew with Roman Reigns and Prince Devitt in 19:30 following a double count out. Segment Rating: 71 The four men just don't stop brawling. The show must end as Ranallo and McAfee tell the fans to make sure to tune in next time and hopefully this fight will be resolved! Segment Rating: 71 Show Rating: 78 Fun first show to book, excited for where its heading! Here's some fun questions! Which character(s) are you most interested in? Who should Hook's first opponent be? (Could be anyone!) Obviously something is "cursing" professional wrestling and there's something strange going on with Dr. Von Hardy. What could it be? Old School Fan
After looking through your first card, I'll weigh in with a few thoughts: Good to see you got Mauro Ranallo doing play-by-play in your commentary team (and I'm not just saying this because I'm familiar with his work from ECCW and Top Ranked Wrestling in my neck of the woods from the mid-2000s). Ranallo's just one of the best play-by-play men currently in the wrestling biz, period. I don't know who Danhausen is since I haven't followed his career, but he appear to combine elements of Sting, Vampiro (and according to Wikipedia, Conan O'Brien mixed with Mark Hamill's Joker from Batman: TAS) and he does sound like an interesting character. Even though Rick Rude's been gone for over two decades now IRL, having him team with Robert Roode as the Roode Brothers in this diary sounds compelling and they ought to get a push for tag team gold. Remaking Matt Hardy as "Dr. Von Hardy" and Jeff Hardy as a modified version of his original ring persona Willow the Wisp? Hmmm... I remember Brian Pillman from his Stampede and WCW days and his late run in the WWF as part of the expanded Hart Foundation, and his son Brian Jr. has real potential to follow the success of his dad, especially with Chris Jericho mentoring him. Brian Sr. would be proud. Nice to see Taz mentoring his son Hook as the latter makes his way into the wrestling biz. Bringing together three of the more recent wrestling icons (Edge, Johnny Nitro/Mundo/Morrison and the Miz) just might be an attention-getter here. And finally, Brock Lesnar remade with a Viking gimmick as Bjørn Larsen? I'd sure like to see where this goes (kind of like a modern day version of '70s wrestler Eric the Red, but in better shape and with more skills). All in all, a good first event.
