I can imagine in 5 years time, the bulk of this roster being household wrestling names and top names for my WCW. Coz at the mo, ratings for the segments are low, but that is because the names are not familiar at the moment to the fans....but they will be! With Ted Dibiase also backing him up, him and Magnus could form a partnership like we have seen over the years, that can win this match. [B]"Pitbull" Andrei Arlovski[/B] Arlovski could be the third man here to really mix things up [B]Rene Dupree[/B] Since joining WCW, Dupree has looked tremendous, can he be the 4th man here?? [B][U]Team 2 - The Faces[/U][/B] [B]"Bulldog" Harry Smith[/B] The Ultimate face in this match, will gun for Arlovski & Maybe Mark Magnus [B]TJ Wilson[/B] The best friend of Harry Smith will be the wildcard in this one, he could fend of The Ringmaster if Smith goes after Champ Mark Magnus. [B]"Super" Kenny Doane[/B] We have seen this young mans intentions in WCW, by the fact that he faces Magnus for the Title this week on Nitro. A column from [url]www.obsessedwithwrestling.com[/url][/B] Since the shocking news of the visious attack on Billy Kidman by Sting & Goldberg broke, the buzz of publicity has been astounding. These two men have broken kayfabe and all other rules of wrestling are are taking there work home with them. Just to remind you, Sting & Goldberg returned to WCW as the Invaders this past month when they attacked “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at “Calgary Stampede”, only for Raven to appear in WCW as Austin’s saviour. They wanted to prove no matter what WCW does, WCW is not bigger than Sting or Bill Goldberg. They have destroyed the foundation of the wrestlers code of conduct by leaving Billy Kidman in a hospital bed. We don’t know what happened in Florida between those 3 men, and we don’t wanna know. But what we do know, is that Bret Hart, WCW Owner, has got a golden opportunity to capitalise here. If “The Hitman” can take this news and bring it into WCW, we could have the most viscious feud in the wrestling history. Steve Austin, Raven, Sting, Goldberg can tear the house down here. Sting & Goldberg have made themselves overnight into heels with twice the heat of “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan or Edge in one foul swoop. If WCW capitalise on this heat, wrestling will return to the glory days and be reborn into the 21st century in style. Imagine Austin-Goldberg, Raven-Sting or even Bret Hart or Billy Kidman getting involved. This one is serious, its personal and it can only end in a match for the good of wrestling. I think Bret Hart cannot sack the two men, due to them being unpredictable, Hart could end up beaten within an inch of his life. The backstage locker room will now be vary wary of these Invaders if they do return (which we think they will) to WCW. These are real life heels. He originally signed with Bret Hart, a low contract on a short term, but Hart is keen to tie him on to a long term deal. The pairing of “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase & Mark Magnus is set to continue for a long time. No word on whether the WWE are interested in taking back Magnus, however it seems unlikely due to his previous run with the company, but he could add some serious star power back to the WWE Main Event scene. You can bet ya bottom Dollar so to speak, if Magnus loses the title at some point in the next month, he will be gone from the company at the end of his contract. On a side note, fans & officials are enjoying Mark Magnus taking on any challengers, such as Kenny Doane tonight on Nitro, Jeff Hardy previously and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Expect this to continue until a number 1 contender is established. Of course the 2 top heels and faces are engaged in this titanic feud (Austin & Raven vs Sting & Goldberg) WCW Has extended the feelers out to Indy Star “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson. Many expect him to sign with the company, although he will want to remain loyal to his indy fans and promotions. WCW Officials feel the best way to sign Danielson will be to offer him a PPA deal and have him work periodically with the company until he feels he can commit full time. Other shocking news could be the fact that WCW Invaders “Sting” & Goldberg were released on bail last night. Many say the bail figure was around $1,000,000. Even more shocking is that Sting’s best friend “The Ultimate Warrior” formerly known as Jim Hellwig paid the bail for both men. Could this all be a work or is this legit? I think having Bret Hart as owner of WCW is a master stroke. Infact, in all sincerity, if WCW really thought long and hard about their predicament at the tail end of their run they may have been able to salvage something with a marketable face like Bret Hart as owner stopping 'screwjobs'. Apparently Nitro plans to hit all the big arenas for this first few months of returning to wrestling. Although Nitro this past week was far from being in front of a sold out crowd. Although WCW does not condone in any way shape or form, the actions of Sting & Goldberg when attacking Billy Kidman a week ago leaving him in hospital, WCW Owner Bret Hart tied both men to long term creative deals which would cost Hart a lot, and I mean A LOT of money to end. Expect Sting & Goldberg vs Austin & Raven to be the first kayfabe broken feud!! And on Nitro we heard that those 4 men will be at War Games in a 3v3 match. You’ve got to wonder who the 3rd man on each team will be?? One can only guess….but either way, the actions of Sting & Goldberg, IN & OUTside of the ring have legitimatised their heel heat to limits we’ve never seen before. You’ve got to have the feeling that the Rattlesnake, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has got to extract some revenge here before the feud is done, he may not be anywhere near peak fitness, but he is keen to get in the ring with both men. And what about the Billy Kidman factor, that man was almost permanently in a wheel chair due to Sting & Goldberg, so you cant rule him out of this one. WCW Creative Writer Keith Hart sees the Dragon as WCWs answer to the WWEs Rey Misterio. So Expect Danielson to work under a mask and a similar gimmick. Expect him to debut at War Games. This is to surely gain full conflict between each opponents. The set up itself consists of 2 rings as before, and is surrounded by ONE Chamber, designed by the company who created WWEs Elimination Chamber, so expect black chain link, and each competitor waiting to enter the match to be locked in a cell before being released at their interval. Many see him working as a tweener, and maybe playing a role similar to CM Punk’s “Clean Living” attitude. The Messiah’s whole image will be, that if he wants to get you, he will. Expect great things from him. Whether or not WCW creative use The Messiah as his name is another matter, we will keep you posted on any trademarks registered. The Smith – Arlovski feud is expected to end at War Games in some way. This could be a face turn for Arlovski or a a development of a new feud. Expect Andrei Arlovski to then work periodically as a “Rocky Balboa” type character. Many people are very excited by the War Games match between Ric & David Flair & Andrei Arlovski vs The Stampede Bulldogs and their mystery partner. This of course could turn out to be The American Dragon. Nothing has been confirmed. Doane jumped ship from the WWE last month after becoming very displeased with being a male cheerleader for the WWE, and has come to WCW to express himself, he has fact become a fan favourite and his match with Mark Magnus last week for the WCW Title was already a MOTY candidate. He is tinkering with feuds at the minute, and is the current TV Champion, expect him to have a few more random title matches in the future before perhaps going on to face the WCW Champ at some point. His manager Melissa has also been praised for her part in nurturing Doane’s character. Ted Dibiase is currently very happy in WCW and he was the only sticky point, WCW Champion Mark Magnus’ contract is currently in the process of being renewed so there are no plans in the foreseeable future for the stable to split or add any new members. Magnus & Dibiase incidently work terrific as a team and are very close friends now. The Ringmaster aka Josh Abercrombie, joined the group recently has had a nice feud with Matt Cappotelli developing, both are young guys and with Ted Dibiase floating around the matches involving the two, expect both their stocks to rise in WCW. This whole thing with Goldberg and Sting is very very cool, although a little unrealistic with Sting being a born again christian. Unless of course you can explain why Sting would attack Billy Kidman in a way that made sence then awesome! All in all I love this diary as it really has the WCW feel.
