21CW: The Land Of Second Chances

Recommended Posts

21CW Kingdom World Heavyweight Title Match:

‘The Barcelona Bull’ Buff Martinez w/ Kathleen Lee [c]

I have always like Buff also unless you are having Cash switch brands, can't see why you'd have the big belt of Kingdom go to the other brand.

Cornell Cup Semi Final:

The Red Devils (Beskov & Iliakov)

I mean, I don't really know why I'm choosing these boys, it just felt right.

Cornell Cup Semi Final:

Crouching Storm, Hidden Sifu

Boooooo Orson and Burton... I mean they'll prob win but boooooo

Grudge Match:

‘His Satanic Majesty’ Aldous Blackfriar

Gotta win to get him over

The Rubber Match:

War Machine w/ Cliff King

Personal Preference.

Cornell Cup Final:

Beskov & Iliakov

It'll prob be Orson and Burton but boooooo

21CW United World Title Match:

‘All Business’ Edward Cornell [c]

I'm good letting Eddie hold down the fort for another while

BONUS QUESTIONS:

How many Titles will change hands...? 0

Who will join Ozzie Invasion in the VIP Sky Box for the show...?

I was gonna say my boy Joey Beauchamp but he's already been picked twice so I'll switch it up by saying Aldous Blackfriar. Why noy creep the ozzie's out.

Which House of Business member will NOT make an appearance in the Cornell versus Cornell Main Event...? Can't disagree here, Doomsday it is.

After a video package showing the two World Title Matches, featuring the four former winners of the Cornell Cup Tournament…!! The Main Event tonight will see the Cornell Brothers themselves: Tommy and Edward, go 1 on 1 for the 21CW United World Title… But up first, we’ll see the former members of Hot Stuff: Buff Martinez and J-B Cash do battle for Buff’s 21CW Kingdom World Heavyweight Belt…!!

image.jpeg

Buff and J-B started this match with a friendly handshake, and the first couple of minutes had a lot of mutual respect between the former best friends. But Cash made a few moves to end the respectful fight, like dragging Buff by his tights a couple of times. But when he stuck his thumb deep into the World Heavyweight Champion’s eye, both Buff and Kathleen Lee were furious. Lee had stayed neutral at ringside until that moment, and after it, she was firmly Team Martinez! Her support was invaluable for Buff, as she got the crowd behind him when he needed it most. The pair of former 21CW Tag Champs collided with a double clothesline after Cash had been in total control, and ‘The Barcelona Bull’ was ready to take advantage of the opening. The lead up to the finish was back and forth, with both men hitting highly impactful moves. But Martinez picked up the win, and retained his Title, when he hit the ‘El K.O.’ (Spinning Backfist) – a move that J-B Cash would have seen up close and personal hundreds of times as Buff’s partner, but had never been on the receiving end of until now.

We cut to a VIP box, high up in the crowd next… and found the Ozzie Invasion, who aren’t in action at all tonight…

Loxley Robbins.jpgBlake Belushi.jpgThurston Darcy III Champ.jpgArtemis Eyre-Rochester Champ.jpg

Belushi was in a Neck Brace… after being thrown off the stage by Tommy Cornell…!! While Loxley confirmed to his friends that he was still refusing to compete as a protest…

Loxley Robbins: “I’ve beaten Tommy Cornell… I’ve beaten Buff Martinez… so why should EITHER of them be getting World Title Matches tonight… I’ll watch the show… I’m a student of the game… So I’ll watch…!! But once this Cornell vs Cornell match is done… and once Buff gets back to Kingdom as the Champ… I’m DEMANDING a Title Match… Or I just won’t compete…!!”

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

The first Semi Finals Match in the Cornell Cup, and it was a banger! Roly and Beast are an entertaining duo, but their biggest strength is… well… their big strength! Even against two Russian Bears in Viktor Beskov and Yuri Iliakov, the two big fan favourites were throwing their opponents around the ring with ease. Beskov and Iliakov fought back into it though, and the House of Business members soon took control of Bantom and pinned him into their corner. Roly was pacing on the apron, and the crowd wanted to see the big Scot tag in. Beast couldn’t get to his partner though, and for the longest time he looked like he’d be beaten. In the end, he created some space, and hit a big lariat on Iliakov. Beskov tagged in, but he couldn’t stop Beast from getting to Roly! The powerful IRN BRU loving Scot slammed into Beskov, and it wasn’t long before Iliakov was hit with a Powerbomb, and pinned!!

In the back, Alfonso D’Angelo was watching the previous match on a monitor, when Grandmaster Phunk, DJ Reason and Dangermouth walked up… Phunk and Reason are veterans with a ton of experience, and they were there to teach Dangermouth… However… They were looking for a second protégé…

Alfonso D'Angelo.jpg Grandmaster Phunk.jpgDangermouth.jpgDJ Reason.jpg

DJ Reason: “Alfonso…!! My MAN… Have you given our offer any thought…?! There’s a spot for you alongside us… Should you want to take your career to that next level…”

Alfonso didn’t know what to say… but he was soon joined by his friend Buck Winchester… and Cowboy stood up for the youngster…

image.jpeg

Buck Winchester: “Well Howdy Partners… Listen… How about you back off… and leave the kid alone…!? If you don’t… You’ll have to deal with me…!!”

DJ Reason: “DEALING with you… would be our pleasure… So we’ll see you on Kingdom…!!”

Despite Wade Orson and Leigh Burton not being an official tag team, they showed amazing chemistry from the outset here – as Orson started in the ring, but Burton jumped Sifu from behind, and started the match instead!! They had the upper hand from the start, and it led to Storm and Sifu being furious and out for revenge through the entire match. Their anger and frustration boiled over at one point, and they nearly got disqualified for it. Which made the snake-like Leigh Burton laugh in Ricky Storm’s face. Storm flew in to the corner for another attack, but Burton saw him coming, and hit a drop-toe hold and Storm’s face hit the bottom buckle! As Storm stood up and staggered backwards, Burton locked in his Sleeper like a coiled snake!! Burton squeezed, and Storm couldn’t fight out of it. He passed out, leaving Orson and Burton to advance!

image.jpeg

In the back, the 21CW United Tag Team Champions: Absolutely Flawless, and their manager Leo Price, were looking for Mark Adonis!!

Kelly Martin Champ.jpgLance Martin Champ.jpgimage.jpeg

The group were looking for Adonis, because they see him as the reason they were knocked out of the Cornell Cup Tournament… They’re right of course, because ‘God’s Gift To Wrestling’ DID cost them their Quarter Final Match… They asked around, but nobody had seen him… One backstage worker even suggested that he wasn’t at the show…!!

image.jpeg

We cut to the VIP Box once again, and found Loxley Robbins, Blake Belushi and The Brat Pack, dining on posh nosh, and drinking champagne…

Loxley Robbins.jpgBlake Belushi.jpgThurston Darcy III Champ.jpgArtemis Eyre-Rochester Champ.jpg

The group of Australians were being extremely disrespectful to the large-ish security guard, and the ladies serving drinks… But their disrespect ended when one of the hostesses announced that the ‘other group’ joining them in the Box had arrived… The Ozzie Invasion were shocked… they couldn’t work out who would be joining them…

Then… the collective groan that came out when the doors opened… and in walked…

Andrew Lee 2.jpgJK Lee.jpgGorilla Lee.jpg

The Lee FamiLee…!! Gorilla led the reaction from the Lees… He was so excited to see Loxley, Belushi, and The Brat Pack… but they were not happy to see The Lees…

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

Pure domination from Grave Digger here, who didn’t need Blackheart’s help once at ringside. Aldous Blackfriar fought back into it late on, but he was bludgeoned down to the mat again, and his ribs were crushed under the weight of Digger’s boot. For the finish, Grave Digger dragged Aldous to the corner, and stomped and stomped, and stomped, until the referee had to step in. He disqualified the massive monster, and then ran as fast as he could when Grave Digger turned to face him!! Digger hit his ‘R.I.P’ Piledriver twice, and then left the arena with Blackheart in tow.

image.jpeg

Backstage, three Kingdom stars: Daniel Black Francis, Landon Mallory and Kevin Jones were talking…

image.jpeg Landon Mallory.jpg Kevin Jones.jpg

DBF and Mallory were asking if Jones wanted to come out and party tonight, since none of them have matches coming up on the show… Jones was about to say a big yes… when Jeremy Allen walked up…!!

image.jpeg

Just like on Kingdom this past week, when Allen walked into the shot, the crowd cheered loudly… and once again, you could see it meant a lot to him… But Jones responded by saying ‘No, No, No’… and left the scene…!! DBF turned to Allen, and invited him out… He said yes!!

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

BEDLAM and War Machine have done this dance before. BEDLAM is one of the few men to hold a victory over War Machine, but Cliff King’s giant client evened things up between the pair, so this was the rubber match. It was shorter than their last two outings, with War Machine coming out on top with his ‘Choke Bomb’ (Batista Bomb).

59

image.jpeg

We cut to the back after the vicious brawl we just witnessed, and found the House of Business in their locker room…

image.jpegDoomsday Suit.jpgBW Eddie.jpgViktor Beskov 2.jpgYuri Iliakov.jpg

Viktor Beskov: “Alright… I wanna know… WHERE were you ALL on United for our match…?! And Cornell… Where were YOU, earlier tonight…?!”

Cornell didn’t answer… He just paced up and down… BW Eddie stood up…!!

BW Eddie: “Oh yeah… Well Viktor… Maybe it’s about time YOU admitted, what you said about Edward…!!”

Cornell stopped pacing… Beskov’s eyes widened… He looked like he was going to strangle Eddie… but the youngster stood behind Doomsday… and carried on accusing Beskov of planning a coup to take over ‘The House’… Cornell didn’t respond… He just walked out… Beskov slammed Eddie into the wall as he and Iliakov left soon afterwards… Eddie complained to Doomsday, but he TOO left the room…!!

image.jpeg

image.jpeg

The FINALS of the 2020 Cornell Cup Tournament. The four previous winners (Edward and Tommy Cornell, and Hot Stuff – Buff Martinez and J-B Cash) all had World Title Matches tonight – so the stakes were extremely high. Orson and Burton have tasted the Main Event scene before, and Roly and Beast have lived right on the edge of it – but both teams needed that one big win. Leigh Burton made a lot of enemies in the crowd for his actions earlier tonight in the Semi Finals, and he continued to feel their anger in the Final. In the end, he and his partner did a great job of isolating Roly Muckletruck, but could do nothing about big Beast Bantom once he tagged in! He steamrolled both of his opponents and ended up making Orson tap out to the ‘Beast Bear Hug’!

73

image.jpeg

Backstage, Melanie Florence was standing by with an interview…

Melanie Florence 3.jpg Apollo Prince.jpg

Melanie Florence: “My guest right now guys… Mr. Apollo Prince… And Apollo… you have a potentially HUGE match coming up on United… Where if you LOSE… You’ll have to give up 51% of your SHAMPOLLO Shampoo Brand…!! How are you feeling about it?!”

Apollo Prince: “My man Phillip Cooper is a baaad baaaad man… But I am NOT worried… and I make NO APOLLO-GIES for that… I’m gonna beat him… I’m gonna make him my janitor for one month… and then I’m gonna FIRE his ass…!! I’m goin’ all tha way in this company Melanie… Cooper is just in ma way…!!”

image.jpeg

We headed to the VIP Box again… and found The Ozzie Invasion and The Lee FamiLee… with the Australians hating every word The Lees (particularly Gorilla Lee) said when he took a break from eating the free food…

Andrew Lee 2.jpgJK Lee.jpgGorilla Lee.jpg Loxley Robbins.jpgBlake Belushi.jpgThurston Darcy III Champ.jpgArtemis Eyre-Rochester Champ.jpg

Gorilla Lee: “SoooOOooo… We’ve got LoxLEE Robbins… Blake BelushLEE… Thurston DarcLEE I… I… I… aaaaand… Arta… Arty… Art… Uhhhh…”

Artemis Eyre-Rochester: “IT’S ARTEMIS… Artemis… Eyre… Rochester…!!”

Gorilla Lee: “Shmartamix… Hair… Shmoshmeshter…!!”

Artemis had to be held back, while Gorilla turned his back and started eating again… Loxley stood in front of his group…

Loxley Robbins: “I REFUSE to compete… but since Blake’ll be cleared by Wednesday… what say we put the three of you… against Blake BeluSHI… and the Brat Pack…?!”

Andrew Lee: “That’s fine LoxLEE… But… Who are The Brat Pack…!?”

Artemis was furious again… as was his fellow 21CW Kingdom Tag Team Champion Thurston Darcy III… The Ozzies left the box in the end, and the Lee FamiLee settled in for the Main Event…!!

The Cornells were at war before the new year, but now they’re on different shows, and can’t fight as often as they would like. So tonight, they couldn’t wait to slam into each other, and a brilliant battle got underway. Tommy was in control early on, with Edward having to roll out under the bottom rope and regroup. He would normally rely on the House of Business, but NONE of them were out there with him! No Viktor Beskov. No Yuri Iliakov. No BW Eddie. And even no Doomsday. Tommy had some help though, the fans got behind him loudly when he was in trouble a little later on. Edward didn’t mind beating his Cousin up, but Tommy was conflicted at times. The match was 15 minutes deep before we saw the first House Of Business member head to the ring: Doomsday slowly walked out with Tommy in control, and provided a timely distraction. However, when Edward regained the upper hand, The Red Devils decided to come out and distract their leader!! Doomsday was furious about this, and got in Viktor Beskov’s face! Edward Cornell decided to hit Yuri Iliakov from behind, which angered Beskov, leading to all three of them being told to LEAVE by the referee. Tommy was the most effected by the House leaving the ring, as Edward took it all in his stride. He finally put his Cousin away with the ‘Black Lightning Bomb’ (Blue Thunder Bomb) to retain his Championship!

(DAMN IT BRICKHOUSE!!)

21CW star Brickhouse Balder has recently blown the whistle on a number of fellow 21CW employees about their drug use, and he is now a hated man in the locker room… The following stars have a big problem, with the big man…

‘Beautiful’ Blake Belushi

Phillip ‘Cooper Man’ Cooper

‘Cowboy’ Buck Winchester

Mass Hulk

Evan Alpass

Assassin

‘The Executive Consultant’ Cliff King

Pit Bull Brown

It’s too early to say whether the big Frenchman be able to recover from this in the locker room… But since Belushi, Cowboy and Cliff King are all on the same show as him, and all fairly influential amongst the boys, it may be that his time in 21CW is ‘arrive a une fin abrupte’ (French for ‘coming to an abrupt end’)…!!

As for the names on that list, it's fair to say their punishment will be lenient... however they'll all be watched very closely in the coming months...

Episode 13

Wednesday, Week 4, April 2020

Steve Smith.jpgDane Rawley.jpg

Calling the action: Steve Smith and Dane Rowley

Overall Rating: 65

image.jpeg

We opened the show in strange circumstances – Tommy Cornell was in the ring, and he called out Loxley Robbins…

image.jpeg

‘Rough Justice’ waited… but Loxley never showed… So Tommy began to give the Australian star some advice…

Tommy Cornell: “This whole… ‘Refusin' Ta Compete’ nonsense is getting outta hand, son… SO… I’m givin’ you a week… NEXT week… Meet me in the Main Event… and I promise you… It won’t hurt a bit… It’ll hurt a LOT…!!”

image.jpeg

Buck Winchester.jpgimage.jpegDangermouth.jpg w/ DJ Reason.jpgGrandmaster Phunk.jpg

‘Cowboy’ Buck Winchester [vs] Dangermouth w/ DJ Reason & Grandmaster Phunk

Dangermouth rode his luck at times, but with DJ and Grandmaster at ringside, he was always going to have a bit of an advantage. Cowboy hit a few vicious lariats that left the rookie wobbled, but Phunk pulled his opponent back at a crucial moment, and Dangermouth capitalised by hitting his ‘Flatliner’ F5.

49

After the match, DJ Reason and Grandmaster Phunk slid into the ring, and stood over the fallen Buck Winchester… Which brought out Cowboy’s friend Alfonso D’Angelo…

Buck Winchester.jpg image.jpeg Dangermouth.jpgDJ Reason.jpgGrandmaster Phunk.jpg

Alfonso crouched over his mentor, and told the group to leave… but DJ couldn’t help but ask ‘The Furious Bi-Curious’ if he’d be up for joining his group, once again… Alfonso didn’t say no…!! He reiterated that the group should leave… and they did what he asked…!!

image.jpeg

We cut backstage, and found Ricky Storm and Sifu confronting Leigh Burton and Wade Orson…!!

Ricky Storm.jpgSifu 2.jpg Leigh Burton 2.jpgWade Orson.jpg

Ricky Storm: “We beat the Champs… so we should BE the Champs…”

Leigh Burton: “And then we beat you… So I guess that makes US the Champs…?!”

Ricky Storm: “Yeah… you did… Then you choked in the Finals…!!”

Burton and Orson looked angry… but Sifu leant in to anger them further…

Sifu: “OOOOOVER…!!”

Burton hit Sifu with a stiff right hand, and an all-out brawl started between the two duos…!! Referees and officials came to break up the melee… Sifu had a busted lip, and Storm was angrier than we’ve ever seen him…

image.jpeg

Aurelian Bradley.jpgWelsh Dragon.jpg21CW K vs.jpgA Local.jpgA Local.jpg

Aurelian Bradley & Welsh Dragon [vs] Local Talents

Aurelian Bradley and Welsh Dragon are great to watch, with Bradley stretching his opponents, and Dragon flying around the ring. They put away these two local talents when Bradley locked in his ‘Figure Four Leg Lock’.

59

image.jpeg

In the back, Mo Adebola had ‘The MVP’ Kevin Jones stood with him for an interview…

Mo Adebola 3.jpg Kevin Jones.jpg

Mo Adebola: “I am joined by… ‘THE MVP’… Kevin Jones… and Kev… Talk to me about Jeremy Allen…”

Kevin Jones: “Oh I would love to…!! Thing is with Jeremy Allen… He doesn’t let me talk… I got a lot to say about it… Bu…”

Mo Adebola: “We… Hold on, hold on… I’m getting news in my ear that Jeremy Allen is being attacked… and… it’s just around the corner…!!”

Jones wasted absolutely NO time to run around the corner and help his former tag team partner…!! Ruin and Nightmare were stood over him, but soon backed off when Jones arrived…!!

Jeremy Allen 7.jpg Nightmare.jpgRuin 2.jpg

image.jpeg

Phil Harmonic, Edison Silva and Kelvin Badberry headed to the ring next… and Harmonic had a microphone as they walked down the ramp…

Phil Harmonic.jpgEdison Silva.jpgKelvin Badberry.jpg

Phil Harmonic: “Merle, O’Curle…?! Are you KIDDING me…?! That dinosaur got LUCKY against Edison Silva… We… weren’t expecting a veteran of that standing… but tonight, ‘The Bad Seed’ will show what we’re made of… when we KNOW who our opponent is, we WILL overcome them…!!”

Merle O'Curle 3.jpg21CW K vs.jpgKelvin Badberry.jpg w/ Edison Silva.jpgPhil Harmonic.jpg

‘The Irish Stretching Machine’ Merle O’Curle [vs] ‘The Bad Seed’ Kelvin Badberry w/ Edison Silva & Phil Harmonic

Merle O’Curle is a fantastic talent to watch! His matches far outscore his popularity, and he’s so smooth around the ring. Kelvin Badberry is a bad man, but he couldn’t keep up with the veteran. In the end, he tapped to the ‘Celtic Wreath’ (Standing Inverted Cloverleaf!)

60

image.jpeg

We cut to a pre-taped video package next… and found Daniel Black Francis on our screens…

image.jpeg

The 21CW National Champion proudly held his Championship… having won SIX Championships during his 14 years with the company…

Daniel Black Francis: “IF anyone wants a shot… I’m feeling ready to defend this Title… so next week… OPEN CHALLENGE for the 21CW National Title… YEAH MON…!!”

image.jpeg

In the ring, Ricky Storm and Sifu, who we saw earlier in the show, called Leigh Burton and Wade Orson out…!! And their rivals arrived, but stayed safely out of reach on the stage…

Ricky Storm.jpgSifu 2.jpg Leigh Burton 2.jpgWade Orson.jpg

Ricky Storm: “Come to this ring, and we’ll finish this RIGHT NOW…!! And our little rivalry… along with your run as a team… will be…”

Sifu: “OOOOOOVERRRRR…!!”

Burton and Orson began to walk to the ring, but backed up… with Burton taking the lead…

Leigh Burton: “Yeahhhh, no…!! This isn’t happening tonight… We’ll fight you guys… but next week…!!”

Storm got even more angry, but Sifu held him back… Looks like Crouching Storm, Hidden Sifu will have to stew on this one for another week…!!

image.jpeg

Brickhouse Balder.jpg21CW K vs.jpgSmiling John Smithie.jpg w/ Mark Misery.jpg

Brickhouse Balder [vs] Smiling John Smithie w/ Mark Misery

A quick match, used to give Smithie a credible win. Balder has upset a lot of workers backstage recently and thoughts are he may not be sticking around for much longer unless he mends some fences. He tapped to the ‘Figure Four Leg Lock’ to end it. Much harder to perform than Aurelian Bradley’s earlier in the show – but it was expertly done by the technician.

46

image.jpeg

Next up, ‘The Executive Consultant’ Cliff King brought War Machine out to the ring…

Cliff King.jpgWar Machine 2.jpg

Cliff King: “Ladies and Gentlemen… with a 2 – 1 positive scoreline… My ‘Giant Client’ War Machine is officially DONE with the man they call BEDLAM… Proving once again, that HE, and not BEDLAM, is the ‘Most Dangerous Man in Britain’… NOW… With that said… Daniel… Black… Francis… We he…!!”

King wasn’t finished with his point, but his gaze was taken by the arrival of BEDLAM… Right before he chopped War Machine down at the knee… and too late to warn his client before the hit came…!!

image.jpeg

BEDLAM waited for the perfect moment, and then locked in his ‘Mind Strangler’ Seated Choke!! War Machine passed out, and not for the first time… before BEDLAM slithered clear of the hold, and grabbed the microphone that King dropped before he ran…

BEDLAM: “Your ‘Giant Coward’ is asleep… People talk about lb for lb the best fighter in the world… well… lb for lb… War Machine is the biggest COWARD I’ve ever seen… He’s 6’5” and 465lbs of pure power… and he’s aggressive… but he gets YOU to speak for him… and he DUCKS me at every opportunity… I’m not askin’ for a re-match… I’m askin’ for a BEST OF SEVEN SERIES…!! You’re 2 – 1 up… So you’re already ahead… When you wake up… make sure you accept…!!”

image.jpeg

Andrew Lee 2.jpgGorilla Lee.jpgJK Lee.jpg21CW K vs.jpgBlake Belushi.jpgThurston Darcy III Champ.jpgArtemis Eyre-Rochester Champ.jpg

Andrew Lee, Gorilla Lee and JK Lee [vs] Blake Belushi & The Brat Pack

Really strong six-man tag here, with six entertaining acts getting the crowd loud in their own different ways. The Australians were booed out of the building as they controlled Andrew Lee and kept him in their corner. The crowd wanted Gorilla to come in and squash everyone, or JK to start trying to pull limbs off, but Andrew just couldn’t get there. Every time he got close, the Ozzie Invasion were able to stop it by various methods of cheating behind the referee’s back. Eventually though, things broke down, and all six men were in the ring together. Gorilla slammed into everyone, and JK stretched the Brat Pack one limb at a time. For the finish, Andrew Lee was STILL the legal man (Lee-gal man! Haha!), and was pinned when Blake Belushi put him down with an ‘Axe Kick’. After the final bell, Belushi grabbed his fellow Australians and got out of there as Gorilla and JK slid back into the ring!

60

image.jpeg

Backstage, ‘Awesome’ Wade Orson was stood talking with Stevie ‘Smasher’ Stoat…

Wade Orson.jpg Stevie Stoat.jpg

Orson was saying some strange things about his ‘friendship’/’alliance’ with Leigh Burton… He went as far as saying that their run in the Cornell Cup Tournament was purely because they both wanted to win it… and not because they want to be a team long term… Neither man has held Gold for a while, so this seemed like a great opportunity…

Wade Orson: “Now he’s made enemies outta Ricky Storm and Sifu… and look… I don’t like those guys either… but I have my sights set a little higher… if yu know what I mean… Buff… Martinez… I want him…?!”

Stoat reminded him that Buff was in action in tonight’s Main Event… and Orson said he’d be keeping a close eye on his long-term rival…

‘The Barcelona Bull’ Buff Martinez w/ Kathleen Lee [vs] Landon Mallory

A strangely poor Main Event here. Landon Mallory is fun to watch, but perhaps isn’t over enough with the 21CW fans to be going on last. He, along with Buff Martinez, is a fan favourite, so at times the fans didn’t know who to cheer. It was a little shorter than the usual final match on an episode of Kingdom, but both men got their big offense in. For the finish, Martinez hit his ‘El K.O’ spinning back fist, and picked up a big win. The show ended with Buff holding his Championship Belt above his head.

The Bern Boys

I'll take the actual tag team

Koller,Lister, Cole

Koller is probably the x-factor here

Frisby

I've like his shtick so far

Beskov

Toss up for me

Cooper

always been a Cooper fan

Cornell + Doomsday

I tend to have a rule where if their name has 'Cornell' in it, I generally don't vote against them

Hi there,

First time checking into the forum for a while and I've absolutely fallen head over heels in love with this diary! I love the C-Verse, and I tried the 21CW Brand Split idea myself but I got frustrated with constantly feeling like I was booking to scrape toward meeting my storyline pop and show rating goals without enough creative license: you seem to be straddling that line magnificently however!

I love your new additions to the roster, especially the Ozzie invasion, and I really appreciate your regular roster & championship updates: really helps keep abreast of the myriad storylines and colorful, fleshed out characters you've created. I'm especially enjoying the zaniness of the Lee FamiLee on Kingdom and the Boulder & Flynn "Detective Agency" on United.

I think it speaks to your quality as a writer and a world builder that neither of the midcard belts have been defended more than once since they were won 2 months ago, and yet the midcard of your company still feels so vibrant and the matches in the middle of the card feel like they have tangible stakes without needing to put a title on the line.

Thank You Lloyd for the gift of this wonderful diary and I hope continue to enjoy writing it and it continues for many months more!

Too late to have a chance of winning anything this month, but I'll play along:

Evan Alpass & Nate Manchester [vs] The Bern Boys w/ The Professor

Going for the named team here

Sebastian Koller, Christopher Lister & Jase Cole [vs] Compton Valence, Langton Herring & Vinny Vigilante

Koller is easily the biggest star here

Assassin [vs] ‘The Unsung Hero’ Chuck Frisby w/ Gulliver

Frisby is great fun, but he's still a comedy jobber

‘The Russian Bear’ Viktor Beskov w/ Yuri Iliakov [vs] BW Eddie

Beskov has more upside, intrigued to see if Boulder & Flynn have an effect though

Apollo Prince [vs] Phillip ‘Cooper Man’ Cooper

Coin flip for me, but whoever wins I can't wait for the post-match angle!

Roly Muckletruck & Beast Bantom [vs] Edward Cornell & Doomsday

As DAVEFAN95 says, never smart to bet against a Cornell but I think Doomsday could eat a pin, keep Ed strong and set up a pair of future challengers, hot off their Cornell Cup win.

Oh wow, thanks mate, very nice of you to say!

Yeah I've actually found from the start that the midcard is way more fun than the Main Event scene :D But I'm working on making things more exciting higher up, especially as some of the midcarders you mentioned don't always make it to the pay-per-views.

Yeah you probably won't win this week, but a solid score (you'll see) so if you keep it up next month, you'll be right up there ;) The prizes for winning normally go down well!

Thanks again

Lloyd, it's been a while but I finally got caught up on this one. Your work is one of the ones that inspires me to make one of my own. You are an expert at conveying a lot with a little, and you put a ton of effort into extra graphics and visuals.

So far, I've really enjoyed Philip Cooper, as well as your take on Boulder and Flynn. I really like your style of booking, it makes for quick, enjoyable reading. Happy to get caught up and on board.

Welcome along my friend :D And thanks for your kind words. Yeah I try and keep it as simple as I can, more for time constraint reasons really - two kids will do that for you!

Calling the action: Des Greeves, Martin Bloydell and Jeff Nova

Overall Rating: 71

J-B Cash opened the show… The former HotStuff member lost to his former partner Buff Martinez at The Cornell Cup, and failed to capture the 21CW World Heavyweight Title from ‘The Barcelona Bull’…

image.jpeg

Cash wasn’t happy… He could barely speak over the ‘You Suck’ chants… He was essentially crying about his loss, and how he may never get another shot at a World Title… Despite bragging a lot before the Title match… Tonight, he was interrupted by Adam Matravers… and rolled his eyes when ‘Mile High’s’ music hit…

Adam Matravers.jpg Phoebe Plumridge.jpg

Adam Matravers: “J-B Cash… I want the first shot… at YOUR… NEWLY WON… 21CW… World… Heavyweight… Championship…!!”

The crowd laughed, as Cash threw a fit in the ring… Matravers asked where it was, and Cash stormed off in a huff… He told Matravers he would see him in the ring next week…!! But Matravers wasn’t finished poking the bear…!!

Adam Matravers: “Yeah I’ll see you in a week… Maybe by then you’d have recovered from the disappointment of LOSING to Buff Martinez…?!”

Evan Alpass.jpgNate Manchester 3.jpgimage.jpegHans Piccard.jpgFabian Schwarz.jpg w/ The Professor.jpg

Evan Alpass & Nate Manchester [vs] The Bern Boys (Hans Piccard and Fabian Schwarz) w/ The Professor

One-sided domination from the young Swiss newcomers. The Professor was instrumental, using his cane to hit Evan Alpass over the back when the good looking youngster was fighting back into it. Piccard hit his brilliant Slingshot Suplex on Alpass to win it.

Backstage, the 21CW United Tag Team Champions Absolutely Flawless were looking for Mark Adonis… Their manager Leo Price was trying to calm them down…

Kelly Martin Champ.jpgLance Martin Champ.jpgimage.jpeg

The group couldn’t find Adonis anywhere, and Price said he’d been informed that ‘God’s Gift To Wrestling’ wasn’t at the show tonight…

Lance Martin: “He’s duckin’ us… So… we know where he lives… Let’s just go there again!!”

Kelly Martin: “He won’t like us showing up at his place again… not after last time…!!”

Last time, The Martin Twins and Leo Price attacked Adonis and his tag team partner Mass Hulk – who was injured on that night, and hasn’t been seen since…

Sebastian Koller, Christopher Lister & Jase Cole [vs] Langton Herring, Compton Valence & Vinny Vigilante

Fun match here, with the veteran Jase Cole dominated for most of it. He ended up tagging Sebastian Koller in, and things changed for the fan favourites. After a lot of back and forth, Christoper Lister put Vinny Vigilante down with his ‘A-Lister’ (Skull Crushing Finale).

In their office, the detective tag team of Beau Boulder and Darrin Flynn were speaking with BW Eddie about the invoice they sent him for their services… where they looked into, and gave valuable information on Viktor Beskov and Yuri Iliakov…

Beau Boulder.jpgDarin Flynn.jpg BW Eddie.jpg

BW Eddie: “SO you see gents… Given the IMPLOSION of the House of Business… I no longer have the funds to pay you gentlemen for your services… Sorry about that…”

Boulder and Flynn weren’t happy… They told Eddie that they had a contract, and that they lived up to their half… now he has to PAY UP… but he said his hands were tied…

BW Eddie: “It’s Force Majeure Gentlemen… An act of God, or an event for which neither party can be held accountable for… I couldn’t have foreseen this happening when I signed the contract… Soooo… You’re just going to have to deal with it… Now… If you’ll excuse me… I have a match with Viktor Beskov to prepare for… Unless you’ve got any tips…?!”

Eddie began taping up his knee… Boulder asked what was up with his leg, and he said he’d picked up a small injury… but the tape and knee pads will hide it from ‘The Russian Bear’… Flynn smiled to himself, and pulled Boulder away…

image.jpeg

We cut backstage next, to Melanie Florence, who was stood with her guest Joey Beauchamp…

Melanie Florence 3.jpg Joey Beauchamp Suit.jpg

Melanie Florence: “My guest right now guys… Is the coooooolest man in 21CW… Joey Beauchamp…!”

Joey Beauchamp: “No Pictures please… I am cool… I am the Breeze… And Melanie… Mel… Melanie Beauchamp…?! Hmmm… Kinda has a ring to it doesn’t it…?”

Florence was clearly taken aback, and it flustered her… But she asked Joey how he feels his start in 21CW has gone…

Joey Beauchamp: “Look everyone knows I should have been here YEARS ago… I was trusted to run another company… I picked up injuries… I span many plates… but now I’m ready to SMASH some… I’ve won my first two matches… Now I’m looking for a REAL challenge…”

With that, Luke Cool and Rolling Johnny Stones walked up…!!

Luke Cool Suit.jpgRolling Johnny Stones Suit.jpg

Luke Cool: “Coolest man in 21CW huh…?! I’d argue that one… See you in the ring next week old man… IF you think you can handle a real challenge like me…!!”

image.jpeg

Assassin.jpg21CW U vs.jpgChuck Frisby.jpg w/ Gulliver.jpg

Assassin [vs] ‘The Unsung Hero’ Chuck Frisby w/ Gulliver

Assassin dominated the early stages here, but Gulliver soon got involved on the outside of the ring. For the finish, Frisby was distracting the referee, and Gulliver hit a lariat from the apron to Assassin who was inside the ring – opening the door for the Swinging Neckbreaker and a Frisby win.

44

After the match, Gulliver got into the ring and raised his friend’s hand… but Assassin was soon up, and squared up to the big ‘Icelandic Body’…

Assassin.jpg Chuck Frisby.jpgGulliver.jpg

Frisby told Gulliver they should leave… and fight another day…

image.jpeg

We caught a glimpse backstage of Beau Boulder and Darin Flynn speaking to someone… We couldn’t quite see who it was at first…

Beau Boulder.jpgDarin Flynn.jpg Yuri Iliakov.jpg

The camera panned to reveal Yuri Iliakov… the best friend of BW Eddie’s opponent in the next match: Viktor Beskov…!! Boulder was pointing at his left knee, and explaining how Eddie was hurt…!!

image.jpeg

Elsewhere in the back, 21CW World Champion Edward Cornell found himself cornered by Roly Muckletruck and Beast Bantom…!!

Roly Muckletruck.jpgBeast Bantom 2.jpg image.jpeg

The winners of the Cornell Cup Tournament told Cornell that he’s all alone now… and he has two BIG problems staring at him…

Beast Bantom: “Me an’ Roly are friends… We won the Cornell Cup, and we enjoyed teaming up… but we’re ambitious… We BOTH want to be World Champion… and since Cornell Cup Winners get Title shots… we BOTH want a Title shot…”

Roly Muckletruck: “Ai… an’ we want it TONIGH'…!!”

Cornell told the two big men to calm down… because he’s NOT alone… He nodded over Roly’s shoulder, and Doomsday walked up…

image.jpeg

Cornell told the two fan favourites that they could have a tag team match tonight… If they win, they BOTH get a Title shot at Partners In Crime…!! If they lose… They go away, and leave Cornell and his ‘Business’ alone…!!

image.jpeg

Viktor Beskov 2.jpg w/ Yuri Iliakov.jpg21CW U vs.jpgBW Eddie.jpg

‘The Russian Bear’ Viktor Beskov w/ Yuri Iliakov [vs] BW Eddie

Fun match here, with Eddie doing his best to stay out of Beskov’s clutches. As soon as the big Russian focused on Eddie’s injured knee, there was no way back. Eddie couldn’t understand how he’d known about the injury, but could do nothing about the onslaught. The House of Business were officially finished when Beskov locked in the ‘Red Devil Lock’ (Lifted Arm Hook) and made Eddie tap out.

52

image.jpeg

We found Antithesis backstage next, with his 21CW UK Title, and his weapon of choice, a Fire Extinguisher…

image.jpeg

Antithesis was clearly unhinged… talking to the inanimate objects as if they were people… more accurately, as if they were his friends… He called the Fire Extinguisher HIS… as if this particular one was special to him…

Very odd…

image.jpeg

A reminder of the Rules of Engagement for the next match, now… Apollo Prince and Phillip Cooper have been at each others’ throats for months, ever since they teamed up for a tag team match on United, and lost… They blamed one another, and fought backstage… leading to Cooper ripping one of Prince’s expensive shirts… Prince retaliated by destroying one of Cooper’s hats… even stuffing it down a toilet…!!

Tonight, they’ll fight for a third time, with one win a piece… If Apollo wins, Cooper must become the JANITOR for his business for one year…!! If Cooper wins, then he’ll split the company ‘SHAMPOLLO’… Apollo’s own Shampoo line… with Cooper getting a 51% stake…!!

Apollo Prince.jpg21CW U vs.jpgPhillip Cooper.jpg

Apollo Prince [vs] Phillip ‘Cooper Man’ Cooper

Every time these two fight, it’s better than the last time. This one was an excellent contest, which went back and forth throughout the 14 minutes it lasted. Prince came close to winning a couple of times very early on, but Cooper soon gained the upper hand, and began to dominate. As the match wore on, it looked like Prince was beaten. But somehow, from somewhere, he got a second wind, and began coming off the ropes and hitting big, impactful moves. A headscissors takedown had Cooper in trouble, and Prince looked for the ‘Apollogy’ (Inverted Bulldog). But Cooper saw it coming, and rolled him up into a small package! The referee counted, and Cooper pulled Prince’s leopard-print tights! Prince tried to squeak a shoulder out, but he was counted down, and Cooper won!!

76

Apollo Prince.jpg Phillip Cooper.jpg

Cooper rolled out of the ring, and celebrated like he was 21CW World Champion…!! He is now a 51% owner of Apollo Prince’s shampoo business ‘SHAMPOLLO’…!!

image.jpeg

Backstage, Melanie Florence was standing by with Aldous Blackfriar…

Melanie Florence 3.jpg Aldous Blackfriar.jpg

Melanie Florence: “My guest right now guys… ‘His Satanic Majesty’ Aldous Blackfriar…”

Aldous Blackfriar: “This is NOT a drill Melanie… This is the Apocalypse… please exit the arena in an orderly fashion…!!”

Florence asked Blackfriar how he was feeling, after brutally being assaulted in and after his match against Grave Digger at the Cornell Cup pay-per-view…

Aldous Blackfriar: “He beat me up… but he LOST… He is almost twice my size… and he LOST… I’m not a vengeful man… So I won’t be going after him for what he did after the match… But if I see him… and the mood takes me… I might just jump on those big shoulders and beat him down… I was beaten up… but I’m not dead…!! And I’m not done…!!”

Blackfriar walked away, leaving Florence unsure about what’s next for ‘His Satanic Majesty’…

image.jpeg

Roly Muckletruck.jpgBeast Bantom 2.jpg21CW U vs.jpgimage.jpegDoomsday 2.jpg

Roly Muckletruck & Beast Bantom [vs] Edward Cornell & Doomsday

Solid way to finish the show here. Doomsday was the weakest link, but Cornell, Roly and Beast were excellent out there. Roly is so fun to watch, as he dances around the ringside area while waiting for a tag. When he gets tagged in, he’s impactful, and almost unstoppable. Beast Bantom looks like a man who could stop him, but since they’re partners right now, it’s not going to happen any time soon. For the finish of this one, Cornell left Doomsday high and dry out there. He could have come in to stop the finishing move of Roly (the brilliant Full Nelson, in which he rag-dolled the 298lber), but he sat out and watched his only remaining fellow House of Business member tap out.

69

BOTH Roly Muckletruck and Beast Bantom will now get a World Title shot after beating Edward Cornell here… and when that realisation set in for ‘All Business’, he practically soiled his pants…!! At Partners In Crime, Roly, Beast and Cornell – triple threat for the 21CW World Championship…!! Next week, we’re going to see the draw for the Partners In Crime matches… where random tag teams will be drawn together for what promises to be a fascinating event…
