GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.58" Card Announced

GLEAT's next event will take place at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo!

After Kotaro Suzuki's assault on Yuya Susumu at "G PROWRESTLING Ver.57" and the subsequent save made by Soma Watanabe, Susumu and Watanabe will team up against Kotaro Suzuki and his Black Generation International ally Keiichi Sato!

Minoru Tanaka will team with Yu Iizuka in a UWF Rules bout against AJPW's Dan Tamura and Hikaru Sato! Sato has stated previously that he would like to face Fujita "Jr" Hayato for the LIDET UWF Championship, and a win here could propel him toward that challenge.

The G-INFINITY Championship will be on the line as the Voodoo Murders backed Jun and Rei Saito will face the recently victorious BULK ORCHESTA combination of KAZMA Sakamoto and Quiet Storm!

The semi-main event will see Kota Ibushi in singles action for the first time in GLEAT as he goes one on one with Black Generation International leader Kaito Ishida! In a match proposed by the Golden Star at the conclusion of "GLEAT Ver. Mega", Ishida has a huge opportunity as he faces one of the top stars in Japan.

The main event will be a 4V4 clash between veterans and younger stars with both teams having both GLEAT and AJPW representatives! With both the G-REX Champion and AJPW Triple Crown Champion involved in the match, this generational clash should presents plenty of opportunities for the competitors who aren't currently champions.

Check Shimatani, Galeno Del Mal, Ryuichi Kawakami vs. Gringo Loco, Hartley Jackson, Yutani

The opening bout featured BULK ORCHESTRA and Black Generation International battling it out with both Galeno Del Mal and Gringo Loco returning to GLEAT! Hartley Jackson made the mistake of angering he massive luchador Galeno Del Mal by attempting to remove his mask and received a Wagner Driver as his receipt, giving BULK ORCHESTRA the win!

Winners: Check Shimatani, Galeno Del Mal, Ryuichi Kawakami

CIMA, El Lindaman, Junjie, Shigehiro Irie vs. Issei Onituska, Masato Kamino, Takanori Ito, Yusuke Kodama

STRONGHEARTS and Yan's Family clashed in the second bout. Issei Onitsuka seemed eager to prove himself as he opened the match facing his former mentor CIMA! Yan's Family had the advantage early on as each member went to work on CIMA's recently injured right shoulder. STRONGHEARTS mounted a comeback however and El Lindaman picked up the win for his team with a Bridging Tiger Suplex on Yusuke Kodama!

Winners: CIMA, El Lindaman, Junjie, Shigehiro Irie

MICHIKO & Risa Sera vs. DASH Chisako & Yukari Hosokawa

DIAMOND EGOIST's MICHIKO and Risa Sera jumped DASH Chisako and Yukari Hosokawa before the bell and these two teams brawled outside of the ring briefly before the official could get things under control and get the competitors back in the ring. Especially with the involvement of Risa Sera and DASH Chisako, this match continued to be a brawl inside the ring and concluded when MICHIKO planted Hosokawa with her modified death valley bomb she calls the Jun'ai!

Winners: MICHIKO & Risa Sera

Soma Watanabe & Yuya Susumu vs. Keiichi Sato & Kotaro Suzuki

After Black Generation assaulted Yuya Susumu and Soma Watanabe made the save on the previous show, tensions were high as this bout began! Susumu was itching to get his hands on Suzuki who made every attempt to avoid being in the ring with him, but he could only escape the vengeful Susumu for so long! The match came to an end when Suzuki tried to roll Susumu up to escape with a quick victory, but Susumu escaped and then annihilated Suzuki with the Front Crash!

Winners: Soma Watanabe & Yuya Susumu

UWF Rules: Minoru Tanaka & Yu Iizuka vs. Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato

The 5th bout of the evening was contested under Lidet UWF Rules and featured two mentor/student pairings doing battle. Iizuka and Tamura both gave it their all, trying to prove themselves while Minoru and Sato demonstrated their time-tested strikes and grappling. The match remained fairly even throughout, only coming to a close with both teams down to 1 point each. Almost out of nowhere, Hikaru Sato captured Minoru in the Ude-Hishigi-Gyaku-Juji-Gatame in the center of the ring and submitted him!

Winners: Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato

Both teams shook hands after the bout before Hikaru Sato made his intentions to challenge for both Minoru Tanaka's GAORA TV Championship and the LIDET UWF Championship!

Jun Saito & Rei Saito (C) vs. KAZMA Sakamoto & Quiet Storm

The G-INFINITY Championships were on the line next as the Saito Brothers attempted to make their 3rd defense against the BULK ORCHESTRA duo of KAZMA Sakamoto and Quiet Storm! This match was a meaty brawl with the Saitos trying to hurt their opponents on the outside of the ring, aiming to defend their championships by any means necessary! This tactic eventually backfired as Jun Saito was thrown hard into the guard rail by Quiet Storm while KAZMA Sakamoto planted Rei Saito with the Kazmax for the pinfall!

Winners and NEW Champions: KAZMA Sakamoto & Quiet Storm

f2Qvk4qs.png IETWYpGs.png

The new champions were only able to celebrate for a few moments before being interrupted by Koji Doi and Kuma Arashi, collectively known as Doi-Kuma! They announced they have arrived in GLEAT and intend on become G-INFINITY Champions!

0PPAoKXs.jpg zrUkn8zs.png

They weren't the only team to declare their intent to challenge the new champions as CIMA and  Shigehiro Irie of STRONGHEARTS appeared as well! CIMA suggested a match between the two teams to determine who challenges KAZMA Sakamoto and Quiet Storm in their first defense!

xk4HGHzs.png n0KXvwis.png IEi1Qu3s.jpg

Special Singles Match: Kota Ibushi vs. Kaito Ishida

The semi main event of the evening was Kota Ibushi's first singles bout in GLEAT as he faced the leader of Black Generation International and former G-REX Champion Kaito Ishida! The other members of BGI were present for Kaito Ishida's entrance but he requested that they instead head to the back. Ishida unleashed the same fighting spirit that won him the G-REX Championship as he aimed to topple Ibushi, but Ibushi was determined to emerge victorious and show why he is one of the top Japanese professional wrestlers. They started the match with a vicious exchange of strikes, setting the stage for how hard-hitting this match would be as it unfolded. The Kick Boy and The Golden Star gave it their all and brutalized each other. After a grueling 20 minutes, a barely conscious Ishida was on his knees and told Ibushi to "bring it on"... so Ibushi finished things off with the hardest strike of the bout, his signature Kamigoye!

Winner: Kota Ibushi

K7iqUmVs.jpg

El Lindaman appeared after the bout and stated that he would like to be Ibushi's next singles opponent!

GLEAT x AJPW Super Generation Struggle: Kaz Hayashi, T-Hawk, Kento Miyahara & Suwama vs. Hayato Tamura, Tetsuya Izuchi, Atsuki Aoyagi & Yuma Aoyagi

The main event of the evening was a clash of two generations in collaboration with All Japan!

Izuchi was exuding with confidence after his victory with Yu Iizuka over T-Hawk and El Lindaman. He started the match for his team against the ace of All Japan, Kento Miyahara! Izuchi managed to get the better of Miyahara with a dropkick and Miyahara rolled to the outside. Instead of going after the legal opponent, he turned and kicked T-Hawk right in the face, knocking him off the apron to the outside! This led to things breaking down early as T-Hawk rushed the ring and attacked Izuchi, and they quickly spilled to the outside, as all of the other competitors also started brawling in and around the ring!

Once order was restored, the match continued on in pretty standard 4V4 fashion. Toward the end of the bout, things broke down yet again, but amidst the chaos T-Hawk picked up the victory and some revenge when he planted Izuchi with the Night Ride and pinned him!

Winners: Kaz Hayashi, T-Hawk, Kento Miyahara & Suwama

GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.59" Card Announced

It's time to GLEAT in Nagoya! G PROWRESTLING Ver.59 will take place at the Nagoya International Conference Hall on September 9, 2023!

Despite two losses against DIAMOND EGOIST in tag team action, Yukari Hosokawa has called out for a singles match against MICHIKO. MICHIKO accepted, calling Yukari "foolish" for challenging her. The two last faced in singles competition since G PROWRESTLING Ver.45 on 2/23 in a bout that MICHIKO won.

Two of the three members of the Coelacanths trio will be in tag action as Kaz Hayashi and Minoru Tanaka clash with Yan's Family members Takanori Ito and Issei Onitsuka! Yan's Family have been in a slump over the last few shows. Can they defeat the two veterans?

After Hartley Jackson attempted to remove his mask at G PROWRESTLING Ver. 58, Galeno Del Mal requested a singles match with him which was granted! The two powerhouses will collide in a grudge match when GLEAT comes to Nagoya!

Black Generation International will face a quartet of unaffiliated fighters in Jun Tonsho, Soma Watanabe, Tetsuya Iizuchi and Yu Iizuka! Tonsho and Iizuchi were aligned in 60 Seconds alongside one of their BGI opponents Keiichi Sato until the group was forced to disband in on July 1, 2023.

With Minoru Suzuki and Shinya Aoki's victory over LIDET UWF Champion Fujita "Jr" Hayato and Yu Iizuka at GLEAT Ver. Mega, both fighters have stepped forward as potential challengers for Hayato. At G PROWRESTLING Ver.58, Hikaru Sato also declared his intention to challenge Hayato. G PROWRESTLING Commissioner Masato Yoshino announced there would be a small tournament to decide the next challenger with Minoru Suzuki facing Shinya Aoki and Hikaru Sato facing a competitor who will be revealed at the show. Yoshino stated the mystery competitor approached him privately about competing and challenging Hayato and after discussing the matter with Kiyoshi Tamura, Yoshino approved his request to compete.

After both teams declared their intent to challenge for the G-INFINITY Championships at G PROWRESTLING Ver. 58, CIMA and Shigehiro Irie will compete against Kuma Arashi and Koji Doi to determine the next challengers who will face the new champions KAZMA Sakamoto and Quiet Storm at G PROWRESTLING Ver.60!

The main event will see STRONGHEARTS and BULK ORCHESTRA clash as G-REX Champion T-Hawk, El Lindaman and Junjie face Hayato Tamura and the G-INFINITY Champions KAZMA Sakamoto and Quiet Storm! Tamura unsuccessfully challenged T-Hawk for his championship back at GLEAT Ver.Mega and is surely looking to prove himself worthy of another opportunity! It was also announced that while he isn't competing, Kota Ibushi will be appearing on commentary for the main event, which will likely draw the ire of T-Hawk!

GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.59"

September 9, 2023

Nagoya International Conference Hall in Nagoya

image.png

Before the show got underway, Commissioner Masato Yoshino appeared to announce that Yu Iizuka suffered a minor injury the day before and would not be able to compete tonight. Yuya Susumu would take his place in the 4V4 match tonight.

JWE8FEos.jpg n0KXvwis.png OlCDYlis.png

MICHIKO vs. Yukari Hosokawa

MICHIKO approached this match with aggression, trying to put Hosokawa away quickly. Hosokawa was resilient though and even attempted to match MICHIKO's aggression, wanting desperately to be victorious over MICHIKO this time around. DIAMOND EGOIST member Aoi tried to insert herself in the match but was thwarted by Unagi Sayaka. MICHIKO was distracted by the appearance of Unagi and Yukari took advantage, almost securing her the victory with a 2.9 count! MICHIKO quickly rebounded with a vicious roundhouse kick followed by the Jun'ai to finish things off!

Winner: MICHIKO

After the match MICHIKO challenged Unagi Sayaka to a singles bout at G PRO WRESTLING Ver.60 which Unagi accepted!

DCx3Gw6s.jpg FyNzqi5s.jpg n0KXvwis.png IC79RsUs.jpg BuHu6ERs.jpg

Kaz Hayashi & Minoru Tanaka vs. Takanori Ito & Issei Onitsuka

While this bout wasn't contested under UWF Rules, Minoru Tanaka and Takanori Ito kicked the match off and had a shoot style clash in the early goings of the bout. Ito and Onitsuka did their best to pick up a win for Yan's Family but fell short when Minoru locked Onitsuka in the Minoru Special in the center of the ring while Hayashi ran interference preventing Ito from breaking up the hold. Onitsuka tapped out and Coelacanths were victorious!

Winners: Kaz Hayashi & Minoru Tanaka

fErieNMs.png n0KXvwis.png BisNVips.jpg

Galeno Del Mal vs. Hartley Jackson

It was a battle of brute force as two of GLEAT's largest fighters met in singles competition! While this match was mostly meaty men slapping meat, Galeno showed that even the largest of luchadors can fly when he tossed Jackson to the outside and then came crashing down on him with a tope atomico! Galeno scored the pinfall after a devastating Black Tiger Bomb!

Winner: Galeno Del Mal

Jun Tonsho, Soma Watanabe, Tetsuya Izuchi, Yuya Susumu vs. Kaito Ishida, Keiichi Sato, Kotaro Suzuki, YUTANI

This was the most action-packed and fast-paced match on the card with all eight competitors moving at lightning speed. At certain points the young motley crew of Tonsho, Watanabe, and Izuchi seemed to be trying to one up each other rather than trying to secure a victory. A miscommunication between Tonsho and Watanabe proved to be fatal as Black Generation International took advantage as Suzuki hit Tonsho with a Tiger Feint Kick that sent him stumbling right into the waiting wings of Ishida who drove him into the mat with a Bridging Tiger Suplex for the win!

Winners: Kaito Ishida, Keiichi Sato, Kotaro Suzuki, YUTANI

image.png image.png image.png

UWF Rules

Minoru Suzuki vs. Shinya Aoki

It was no surprise when these two clashed that this UWF Rules match almost resembled a full blown MMA fight at times. The two veteran fighters were evenly matched throughout the match, spending the first minutes of the match trying to out grapple each other before moving on to a wicked exchange of strikes. With both men down to 1 point each, Suzuki locked Aoki in a rear naked choke followed by the Saka Otoshi! Aoki refused to submit, but began to fade into unconsciousness, leading to the referee calling for the bell!

Winner: Minoru Suzuki

After the match, Suzuki requested a microphone and said that it doesn't matter if Hikaru Sato or his secret opponent win... he'll be the one to face Fujita "Jr" Hayato!

image.png image.png image.png

UWF Rules

Hikaru Sato vs. "X" Yukio Sakaguchi

Hikaru Sato's opponent was revealed to be someone he is very familiar with, Yukio Sakaguchi! The former KO-D Tag Team Champions shook hands before the bout and then proceeded to attempt to dismantle each other to move forward to face Minoru Suzuki for the right to challenge Fujita "Jr" Hayato for the LIDET UWF Championship! With only 1 point left to Sakaguchi's 2 points, Sato kicked it into another gear and managed to capture Sakaguchi in the Ude-Hishigi-Gyaku-Juji-Gatame in the center of the ring for the submission victory!

Winner: Hikaru Sato

G-INFINITY Next Challenger Bout

CIMA & Shigehiro Irie vs. Kuma Arashi & Koji Doi

The newcomers to GLEAT, known collectively as Doi-Kuma were impressive in their first outing, isolating CIMA to avoid having to clash with the powerhouse Irie. CIMA made a desperately needed hot tag to Irie leading to a showcase of Irie's power where he suplexed both members of Doi-Kuma! The battle raged on and in the final moments, Doi and Irie were in the ring with their partners down on the outside. Irie had Doi backed into the corner and hit him with a corner lariat! Doi dropped into a seated position as Irie moved to the opposite corner and then came charging in with a cannonball! He quickly pulled Doi to his feet and then ran the ropes, turning Doi inside out with the Beast Bomber on the rebound! Irie covered... 1... and then the bell rang. The 20-minute time limit had elapsed while the referee was counting, meaning this was a draw!

Winners: DRAW

Masato Yoshino who was at ringside on commentary stood up with a microphone and announced that with the result being a draw, both teams will battle for the G-INFINITY Championships at G PROWRESTLING Ver. 60!

Before the main event, Kota Ibushi made his entrance to join commentary for the main event. He entered the ring and was handed a microphone. He said that before the main event closes out the evening, he wanted to announce that kickboxer and former K-1 Cruiserweight Champion Ryo Aitaka has been training under Ibushi and will make his GLEAT debut soon! Ibushi thanked the fans for coming out and then took his seat at the commentary desk.

G-REX Champion T-Hawk made his entrance on his own after his teammates and requested a microphone. He announced that Junjie would not be competing tonight due to an unspecified illness which was peculiar as Junjie was in the ring and dressed to compete. He gestured for Junjie to leave the ring, refusing to compete if he didn't comply. A very confused El Lindaman tried to reason with T-Hawk, but he didn't seem to care.

El Lindaman gave up on reasoning with his longtime friend and seemed to tell Junjie if it would best to just go along with it. Junjie made his exit. Once he was out of sight, T-Hawk introduced his hand-picked replacement for Junjie...

Eita, El Lindaman, T-Hawk vs. Hayato Tamura, KAZMA Sakamoto, Quiet Storm

With the unexpected inclusion of Eita in this match and the unexpected result in the previous bout leading to a three-way match for the G-INFINITY Championships, KAZMA and Quiet Storm were thrown off their game a little bit in the main event, but the T-Hawk's shenanigans seemed to fire up Hayato Tamura who had a stellar performance. The final stretch of the match saw an isolated Quiet Storm eat Eita's knees courtesy of a double knee facebreaker. T-Hawk then charged at a groggy Storm and obliterated him with his Cerberus running knee strike for the win!

Winners: Eita, El Lindaman, T-Hawk

GLEAT "G PROWRESTLING Ver.59 ½" Card Announced

With GLEAT G PROWRESTLING Ver. 60 set for 09.27.2023, GLEAT will hold G PROWRESTLING Ver. 59 ½ on September 15th at KBS Hall in Kyoto!

Kizuna Tanaka, the daughter of Minoru Tanaka and Yumi Fukawa will make her GLEAT debut against Maya Fukuda in the opening bout.

Two UWF Rules bouts will take place on the card. The first will see two members of Coelacanths teaming to face the team of Naoki Tanazaki and Yuya Susumu. Tanaka has made it clear he wants to challenge for the LIDET UWF Championship and a win here could propel him toward that opportunity. The second UWF Rules bout will be singles competition between Soma Watanabe and Yu Iizuka. Like Tanaka, both of these competitors will be aiming to prove themselves worthy of challenging for the LIDET UWF Championship.

With MICHIKO and Unagi Sayaka's singles bout confirmed for G PROWRESTLING Ver.60, the rivals will clash in 3V3 tag action in Kyoto. Unagi has recruited Yukari Hosokawa to her team, who is looking for some revenge on MICHIKO after losing yet another singles bout to her. Also joining Unagi will be Girl's Pro-Wrestling Unit Color's leader/founder SAKI! On MICHIKO's side will be the duo known as Azure Revolution, fellow DIAMOND EGOISTS member Risa Sera and Maya Yukihi!

In a prelude to their upcoming singles bout, Minoru Suzuki and Hikaru Sato will face in tag action. Suzuki will have El Desperado on his side while Sato will bring his mentee Dan Tamura to Kyoto for this bout.

It will be STRONGHEARTS vs. Ibushi Pro Wrestling Lab in the semi-final bout. With his singles match against Kota Ibushi fast approaching, El Lindaman will team with CIMA and Shigehiro Irie against Hagane Shinno, Tyson Maeguchi and Yumehito Imanari! Ibushi's friends and training partners could prove to be a huge challenge for Lindaman prior to his impending clash with Ibushi!

The main event of the evening was announced along with confirmation that Tetsuya Iizuchi will be the next challenger for T-Hawk's G-REX Championship following his victory over T-Hawk and El Lindaman at G PROWRESTLING Ver.57. The final bout in Kyoto will see T-Hawk tagging with the man he surprised everyone (including his own allies) with at G PROWRESTLING Ver. 59, Eita! Tetsuya Iizuchi will have his former 60 Seconds cohort Jun Tonsho on his side. Who will gain the momentum before their championship bout?
